Review Punjab Di Rasoi - Kozhikode

Amazing food on a budget. Probably one of the best places to have authentic North Indian cuisine. Server was amazing, definitely helped us pick items from the vast menu offerings they had, although they were out on a few items. We ordered this dry paneer and dal tadka which were absolutely amazing. I've had smaller portions from other restaurants for higher prices, so this was definitely beyond my expectation. Taste was as you'd expect from a local dhaba, on point. Nothing too crazy nor bland either. Thaali was also nice, and for 150₹ it's a pretty good deal I must say. They definitely don't hold back on using oil, so keep that in mind if you're on a diet lol. The only gripe I had was the server was a little overbearing. While I appreciate the sentiment behind it, it's pretty hard to eat your food when they are standing right next to you lol. But yeah, ig it's just me. Overall, definitely recommended, if you're into authentic Indian dishes, snacks and want to impress your friends.

I called the restaurant at ~4PM to know if they still served lunch. The person who attended the call was very polite and understanding. They let me know that thali meals were over but all other items would be available and assured me I had nothing to worry about if I was planning to visit the restaurant for a late lunch. Just as they promised, they served all our orders within a matter of minutes and the service staff were very polite and sweet. F[d was very tasty. I ordered Paneer tikka biriyani, Rumali rotti, Bhindi masala and mushroom curry. All of these were very well prepared and served. Definitely worth multiple visits.

If you're looking for authentic North indian cuisine in Calicut, look no further. Punjab di rasoi offers the yummiest vegetarian food that really hits home. It is at a walking distance from the beach. The atmosphere is good and homely. There's good hindi speaking staff/waiters. You can enjoy hindi songs as you wait for your food to arrive. I'd really like to recommend 'Bhindi masala' to everyone who hasn't tried it yet. The mango lassi here is also superb and thick. The price is a bit on the expensive side, compared to the restaurants in norther parts of the country. But you may get a special discount if you're a student in kerala.

If you want an authentic Punjabi food in Calicut, this is it. But a fair warning, you will definitely doze off after the scrumptious meal!

I visited this restaurant with my family for lunch. They have wide variety of punjabi dishes in their menu. I ordered their Chinese and punjabi recipes, but I didn’t get that wow or the kick feeling over her. I liked their Paneer Kulcha. But I didn’t like their Nutty pulao and Paneer Fried Rice. They have a spacious seating. Another thing I noticed here is that, their staffs are not Malayalis, they are from North I guess. So communicating during ordering was not smooth, also am not good with Hindi.

The way of presentation and the food too tasted good! Service was a bit delayed but still can't mark as a negative reason as overall it was a nice experience. Would be a nice option to hang out with family specially people who are looking for veg options.

The search for good vegetarian options in Calicut continues. This restaurant was recommended by a lot of people. The food and ambience are good. But the restaurant seems to be reluctant to serve anyone other than families. Had to ask for sauces, the chutney platter.

I don't know how an authentic Punjabi restaurant dishes tastes like.. However this one is good in town for veg lovers... Tried their Tandoor rotti, butter kulcha, palak paneer, lassi and jamun... Roti was amazingly good so as palak paneer.. ♥ Lassi is thick and yummy.. The service is also good. They have a descent dining area with around 50 to 60 pax easily. Dining area is neat and clean. Overall recommended to veg lovers.

Visited this restaurant on my visit to Kozhikode. Being a pure veg restaurant (which I normally search) it was on my list. Had dinner here. It's location is near Kozhikode beach and that to at a walkable distance. The ambience is quite cool and the place is also lively. Had ordered, Lemon coriander soup and Garlic noodles. Both were upto the mark and really good. If I visit agin will definitely try other dishes too.

Good authentic tasty north indian food. Food is a bit overpriced but worth the price. We ordered mutter paneer , crispy baby corn , mushroom fried rice, paneer kulcha. Paneer curry was a bit spicy. Others were good. We ordered carrot halwa too (gajar halwa in menu) which was exquisite. Purely made of ghee and cashew nuts.

Punjab di Rasoi is a great option for those looking for Punjabi dishes, conveniently located near Kozhikode Beach. During my dine-in dinner experience, the food was outstanding with a rating of 4. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. Service, however, could use some improvement with a rating of 3. The staff were friendly, but the pacing of the meal was a bit slow. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, with a rating of 4. All in all, I would recommend Punjab di Rasoi for a tasty and reasonably priced meal, with an average cost of ₹200-400 per person

Nice authentic Punjabi food in this part of the world. I have roamed around in Malabar but the food here sets it apart from other restaurants serving so called "Punjabi" or "North Indian food". Though the ambience can be more appealing. But chalta hai, the food makes up for the ambience.

One of the best option if you are looking to explore North Indian vegetarian food especially Punjabi 😋. I've visited multiple times and never noticed anything unsatisfactory to my liking in terms of service and food quality
