Review Chopsticks Noodle Bar - Leh

This is one of my most favourite restaurants now. I will make sure to visit this place whenever I visit Leh. Can't recommend a single dish, whatever I had was delicious. Please try all of their signature dishes and ask the server for recommendations.

The creatively named Chopsticks Noodle Bar, serves a lot more than noodles. It's Leh's truly best East Asian cuisine restaurant, with an eclectic range of much loved Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Tibetan dishes. The decor though minimal has real cut table flowers, oversized Japanese fans, an umbrella and a Thai Buddha statue at the entrance. The indoor dining area has wooden tables with cushioned benches, which could be a bit hard on those with back issues. Fear not, there's a huge outdoor terrace dining area under bright pink tents, which has platform seating with cushions around low tables, perfect for those who want to dine and relax for a longer time. The menu has favourites such as teriyaki chicken and Thai curries. Rather typical when faced with abundant choice, I decided to stick to what I thought was familiar - Thai Green Curry Fried Rice. That was the first disappointment, coz it was just fried rice, not a green curry with rice as an accompaniment. The second disappointment was, there was nothing Thai about it. The quantity for the price - USD 2.75 - wasn't substantial either, and the dish was a bit thin on the chicken. Anyway, I spiced up the rice with red chilly sauce, white chilly sauce, and Thai soy sauce, and decided to use this disappointment to try out my chopstick skills. Yes, they've chopsticks, which is a real plus. There's something magical about slow eating with chopsticks, coz I enjoyed my lunch thereafter. The indoor dining area was full with a global clientele. There was a large Thai group on my left and an equally sizeable Israeli group on my right. The Chopsticks is certainly a very popular restaurant.

I came to try the food here as my friend’s recommendation, but i don’t think it is that delicious. Good points: variety of dishes for your choice; nice & friendly staff; good vibe around Not so good points: portion is quite small that makes me feel it is over priced; the taste is so so.

I have to give this restaurant a thumbs up. I have been here night and day and on each visit l was impressed. The restaurant inside is well designed and very welcoming. Outside area upstairs is breezy, large and comfortable on the big couches. At night the outside seating area is nicely lit and intimate. The food on every occasion was absolutely fantastic. I must of tried at least 12+ dishes and l couldn’t fault one of them…. The fresh juices, virgin mocktails are also excellent along with very cold beer served. Well done to all staff. Excellent work

This place has a very nice ambience! Great place to chill with family and friends. The food and hospitality just adds to it. This place has the option to sit outside as well as inside! Do try the Thukpa... you would get the authentic feel of Ladhak!

We tried Vietnamese and Japanese dishes, and the food was extraordinary. It was very authentic and well presented. Servers were very polite and patient. I tried their Kashmiri tea and it was pure joy in a cup, I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s a must try if you are looking for good Asian food.

Good service, Good atmosphere and quality food. Price is normal compare to other places in Leh with such a good quality. Only thing which I can notice is foods are bit salty. Maybe I’m not using much salt in my food.

Great ambience to start with. The food is yum and authentic Chinese... so if you are the ones who love the Indian version of Chinese food with garma masala stuffed in generous quantities, avoid. This is seriously a Chineese and Tibetan restaurant. Go try it out for itself. :)

Service was a bit slow but friendly. The momos were great but by the time the skyu arrived I was already full from the momos and didn’t it enjoy it as much.
