Review Gesmo Restaurant - Leh

The ambience is good but no view from the window, must try the set breakfast, but the Yak one is a bit different, over all good

They have a great selection of menu from pasta to cakes. I myself, love their pizzas. The staff are so friendly and helpful as well. A great spot for comfort food in Leh Ladakh within walking distance from my guesthouse. A great advantage at high altitude 😁

Great food. Ravi attended to us and served us well. Shared stories about Leh which was insightful to tourist like me. Food wise was good. The thukpa was tasty and the 3 types of dishes in one dish was great too. Manchurian chicken, fried rice and also fried noodles all in one dish.

The GESMO is a long-standing landmark in Leh's tourist district. I remember having breakfast the last two times I was here and how much I enjoyed it, sitting by huge windows overlooking the busy street. A great place for good food, people-watching and overhearing travel stories. The GESMO's old premises have been torn down a bigger and finer building is coming up in its place. The process could take up to two years more. Meanwhile, fear not, the café-restaurant has moved into the first floor of the building opposite its old premises, in a fine, colourful, even fancier premises. There're plush sofas, blue cushioned chairs, and an awesome narrow oitdoor light blue balcony with high chairs, overlooking the happening Fort Road. Since it was breakfast time, I ordered an Indian breakfast. Not my first choice, but the prices fort the set GESMO breakfast have moved northwards and beyond the budget of Indian backpackers like me. The GESMO also doesn't have brown bread, so all the more reason to avoid its western set breakfasts. The GESMO has always been a pro in how the food is served and laid out on the plate. It's good to be pampered this way. The aloo paratha was delicious, soft and crunchy. The masala omelette very authentically Indian. The masala chai that came with the breakfast could've been a bit hotter, but never mind. The experience sitting in the balcony with my meal, and watching the world go by was unparalleled.

Gesmo is Leh's classic Diner. It's run by a bunch of really nice Nepali guys. Anyone who's been to Leh a bunch of times has probably seen these guys serve what is probably the best breakfast you can get in Leh. The caramelized onions over hash browns in the Yak Cheese breakfast are my favourite here.

The Breakfast options are really good with a good selection of local and world cuisine. Their Ladakhi thukpa and momos are great. The English Breakfast is a good hearty option with a selection of eggs. The Staff is friendly and the place has a good atmosphere with good seating arrangements.

This is one of the best pizza restaurant in Leh. We have taken Chicken tikka pizza and Trout fish tandoori. Both are delicious. I will surely recommend the restaurant.

So recently I visited this beautiful, vibrant GESMO'S restaurant which is in leh city. Though it's a rainy day here... The staff is very humble and helpful with their dishes ...here i ordered Sapta Tingmo chicken... which was Very tasty as they prepare fresh food here.... And the chicken corn soup was yum ..! 😋 Must recommend this restaurant and their food....❣️🙏

Affordable and tasty continental food options! We were at Gesmo to try out some continental food after eating aloo puri for days during our road trip. The place did not disappoint at all. There was a waiting time of Atleast 15min when we were there. Things we ordered French Fries Chicken Burger Veg Pizza The portion size is not too big so you might have to order your own accordingly. The place is also cutely done though it’s crowded all the time. There are lots of bakery items which we didn’t try.

Good food with resonable rates Chicken Biryani is good in taste but prepared like a shai pulaav ( added lots of dry fruit) 😜😜overall good tasty and hygienic food ….

I've always had a good time at this place with lovely breakfast, attentive and friendly staff all this while on my last few visits to Ladakh. This time I wanted to eat again but despite claiming to be open from 8 am onwards I was asked to go and come back in 20 mins as they were cleaning. Time is precious, the staff could have told me that they are cleaning but could have atleast started cooking if not adhering to their schedule and being ready by 8 am. I didn't have much time so headed to Bon Apetit instead. A shame I could not enjoy their breakfast on my last day in Leh.

This is a nice place to enjoy local food. I recommend the pita bread with hummus, the burgers and the lemon juice.

I recently dined at Gesmo Restaurant and had an excellent experience. The ambiance was inviting, and the service was prompt and friendly. The menu offered a diverse range of delicious dishes, and the flavors were top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the unique twists they brought to familiar dishes. Overall, a delightful dining experience that I would happily recommend to others.

Overall experience was good . Tried momo & different kind of cheese cake. Also had yak cheese pizza . Its taste was good but its smelly. Some mightn’t like the smell. So you can check for it if possible before having. Staffs and ambiance also great

We were here for vacation & glad we found this place. Food is great & top notch. Not disappointed at all. We had the best food in our last 5 days of our vacation.

This place has a vibe to it. Went there for dinner and ended up going there for breakfast as well. This is a perfect place to have a dinner along with a view from the window. Tried their Yak Cheese Pizza, and a couple of other items. I didn't like their bakery items that much but the kitchen items were really good. Definitely worth going. Will visit again.

Gesmo greets people in a new place just opposite of where it had always been located from decades. Food still remains delicious now with a more charming place to sit and dine. Earlier one received a good amount of sun and helped during their late winter openings to combat the cold, this time around it is still to see how they keep their clients warm but none the less an awesome experience. Eyes closed!

One of the best restaurants in the city of Leh. The food served is fresh and tastes really good. I visited this place daily while I was in Leh for a duration of 3 days.<br/><br/>Definitely recommended.

Been here with friends. Ordered Thupka, Momos, Yaks cheese chicken pizza, noodles, chocolate brownies. All were great. Good cozy environment.

Nice place to hangout with friends..... Nice ambience and very elaborate menu.....I have been to this place many times all the items be it Indian or Chinese it Italian are good..... Very fresh food and awesome service.... Must visit place in leh

Overall a good experience. The pizza and pan fried momos were really good. Couldn't try their cakes though because of very limited eggless options but it is their speciality and must try for visitors

Ordered two veg cheese burger but to my surprise it doesn't it doesn't contain any cheese at all and was just all mayonnaise and the top slice of burger was fried blacked as well. Disappointed with the quality 👎and please stop fooling people.
