Review Wonderland - Leh

All types of food available. Separate kitchen for Indian food and other foods. Bakery has many options. Sizzlers are good. Best is coffee. During full-time moon they serve only vegetarian.

Nice balcony with tourist menu. Good Indian food and momos. Dirty bathroom.

Most restaurants suffer authenticity problems with a multi-ethnic menu, however Wonderland actually has at least three separate kitchens, and it shows, with an extensive menu of great-tasting meals. Breakfasts are very good, Indian vegetarian dishes are excellent, particularly useful on the meatless days, and their pies downstairs are delicious... It is also hygienic, proven over seasons of eating here, and so I rate this as the best, most reliable restaurant in this Changspa area.

Good place for healthy options. Examples: mushroom petsel fry, mushrooms and olives in tomato sauce (goes by a different name but its the first item in the last page of the menu) and mushroom and tofu (substitute it with paneer) in bamboo shoot sauce. They are also a mean bakery - the walnut brownie shall give you great happiness and diabetes at the same time. Only trouble is the road noise so sit upstairs in the row farthest from the road.

Quiet (best time to visit) in the mornings and evenings (10 AM to 6 PM) crowded at other times.. Clean restaurant. Decent food. Good portions. Terrible bathroom.

The place was pretty good. The food was superb but there was a flaw, the management didn't seem to work properly. We ordered snacks and after that the main course but we got the main course earlier.

Indian Breakfast at Rs 80 is one sumptuous meal. It has Aloo Paratha, big bowl of Curd, Pickle, Chutney and Tea/Coffee. Wonderland's Masala Tea is recommended for sore throats. Mr. Prem, the owner of the restaurant is a gentle and friendly man. He was happy to hear that my friend and I had biked all the way from Dehradun to Leh and told us about his best chef ever, who was also from Dehradun. Besides the awesome food, the place has soothing Buddhist/Tibetan music playing all day.

Such a great little hangout with good cheap eats, great choice on the menu. Really nice staff. Try the thukspa, the fix breakfast and the coffee.

Except for the Indian, there are scope for improvement in Italian etc. But price justifies the quality. Plus the rooftop is great with great ambiance.
