Review German Bakery Wunderbar - Lonavala

SAURABH DHOWAN
We went to German Bakery Lonavala on Tuesday. Advantage of going on a weekday is that the whole restaurant was empty. We ordered the German sausage omelette and a lamb and jalapeno burger. Both the dishes were really tasty . The omelette had a bit amount of sausage filling and the burger had a lovely flavour. The dessert we ordered was the butterscotch and caramel pastry which was not as great as we thought it would be. The cream was dense and the flavour of caramel was hardly there. But all in all a great meal. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Amazing atmosphere, almost everything I order from here tastes great and quality is also good , awesome deals. A special mention to the Cheese Cake , The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star because parking issue I wish the location was better.

Great place.. Food was tasty! Ordered German AND Spanish Omelettes.. Masala chai. Caramel Butterscotch Cheese cake and Chocolate brownie. Reason for 4 stars: Great place.. Great ambience.. Neat and tidy.. Staffs are courteous. Food was tasty! Can improve some staffs attitude : the one who took our order was very much in hurry. Couldn't understand anything when he repeated our order and didn't care to slow down. Had to repeat our order twice/thrice to other bearers as well and still they tend to miss out something out or the other.

While crossing this place, we noticed a board outside saying that there were Jain options available here. We wanted to check it out. Initially we thought that this place was not fit for full dinner but only for a quick bite or snack. Later after going inside and checking the menu, we noticed that there were dinner options available. First of all, the menu looked a bit different than usual. We were not clear as to what the items were and what they were made off. The names seemed to be different and for someone new like me, I had to ask them details about each items. There were some Jain items available in the menu which is okay. We ordered two items. The German Bakery Classic Club Green and a Pizza for which the name was again different. With the name we were unable to understand what that item was all about. We then enquired about how it is made and then understood what it is. I personally feel that menu can be a little better with more details. Taste was good but I'm not very satisfied with the cost of each item. I feel that the items are over priced. Overall it was a good experience and not a great experience.

One of the best place to hangout in Lonavala with friends & family. Ambiance is cozy & relaxing. We ordered Spanish omelette & Chocolate brownie. Both were tasty. Quantity served is more than sufficient for one person. Staff is friendly & helpful. Service is fast.

Like all German Bakery branches, an attractive place to meet. Good coffee, tempting sweet things. The reason I can't give the place 5 stars is the music, too strong a beat for my taste in a place like this where a nice place conversation is going to be one of the main draws. It is certainly a welcome surprise to find such an establishment in Lonavala.
Wheels On The Feet
German bakery is a located in lonavala market and can be easily located by visitors. The restaurant is big and clean. Food is good in taste. Though they didn't serve authentic chicken cordon blue sandwich but they didn't compromise with taste.. It was insane. One complaint I definitely have and that is about the restroom.. It's horrible.. Please keep it clean 🙏 staff are nice if one is not able to guide you he would not misguide you as well.. He would sent another staff to you..

Located on the main road, little can you make out of the inner atmosphere and ambience Once you enter, it is like a different mahol from the chaos and traffic of road About food, we had pizza and it was really delicious! We also tried different pastries and each flavor was quite nice and tasty. Do visit the place when in Lonavala!

One of my favourite restaurants whether pune or Lonavla. It’s great for breakfast as they serve awesome omelettes. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious and the risotto was nice. The service is as usual excellent. Best way to spend the hot summer afternoons with chilled beer good service and great food.

This is the go to place for us to have our meals at Lonavala. Located on the main road, and having plenty of space for seating indoors, its easy to stop by. The menu is like the other branches in pune and has plenty of choices. Especially like the Ginger lemon tea, Stuffed omelettes, Lamb and Jalapeno Burger and the Junglee sandwiches. You should definitely try the place the next time you visit Lonavala.

German Bakery is located in lonavala and is a one stop cafe for good Italian food and other cuisines. The cost of this place is towards a higher end, however the food served is good. The spinach omelet, garlic bread sticks, cold coffee, hot chocolate, fries and pasta are some must try items. However the Masala Chai wasn't worth the cost and taste. The ambience is good and it's located on the main street which makes its easily accessible as well as it has parking available too.
Phantom Rides
On our Sunday morning ride from Pune to Lonavala we decided to stop at GB Wunderbar... The place is favorite with superbikers and foodies alike. I ordered a German Omlette which comes with pork sausage stuffed in it. Friends ordered from Potato Burger to Club Sandwich to Chicken Grilled burgers. Everything is served really well with a side of fries. The service is slow expecting the quality of food so I will not complain. However in Summer months I think GB should have airconditioning as we had to rely on the fans. The interiors are nice and cozy and they play a mix of music, never too loud to not have a good conversation. Enjoyed it throughly!

An assurance of hygenic and quality continental food in Lonavala. The service is unbelievable slow; the staff might be looking in your direction and yet will fail to see that you need something. But once you taste a dish, you'll know that the wait was worth it. Try the mixers at the bar, or the delicious preparations at the desert counter. Perfect for a date, or family get-togethers. Located on the old Mumbai-Pune road so be careful about where you park your car. All major cards accepted.

*Food*: Very Tasty. We ordered: -Barbeque Chicken Burger(5/5) -Fluffy Folded Omelette- Masala with Toast n Hash (3/5, though the name is very attractive, it wasn't a truly fluffy Omelette made from fluffy egg batter.) -Mocha Coffee (4/5) Quantity was good *Cost*: A tad bit costly. Above items cost 650 bucks. Burger was worth it though. *Ambiance*: A truly English interior. Fancy and unique seating arrangement. Nice. *Service*: Quite good... Someeetimes they respond slow *Cons:- - Washrooms can be better maintained - Only a couple of Parking spots available

The food was amazing and so the ambience. I personally did not expected a bakery with delicious food to be out there at that place but it shook me and after having their food I was also very happy. It is a little expensive but you gotta eat everywhere 😂 I had a barbeque chicken for Rs 495, also i had an pasta arabita chicken for Rs 470, also tried two drinks beery cola iced team and lemon cola iced tea for Rs 150 each. You all must really try their food out.

It is a very nice and huge place located on the main road and is ideal for having casual food and hanging out with friends. They have a bar and bakery section in the same premises. The visiting crowd mainly consisted of young people. They have a seperate enclosed area where I believe one can have private get together for groups. I felt pricing was on a little higher side specially for the deserts.
sana Tumbi
A very lovely cozy and colourful place.. food is yummmm but wish the quantity was a lil more for the price given.. overall a very smooth and courtesy approach by the staff, enjoyed the time spend. And we did get free cupcakes on the eve of Christmas.
SippandSnack
We had a keema pav with sunny side up, bacon and baked blueberry cheesecake for dessert. Good ambience. If you are in lonavala this place is a must try!
Hungry Stars
If you are anywhere around lonavala and are craving for some fresh dessert then it place is a must visit. Tried the mango cheese cake here and must say it has just the right amount of melt in your mouth goodness. The fresh cream and the mango flavour had a perfect blend to satisfy all the sweet tastebuds. The mango cheese cake which also has the perfect amount of sweetness will make you crave everytime you think of it.

The ambience is good and the staff is also friendly. Highly recommend this place for cheesecakes. ♥️

And I loved this place, the ambience, the food, everything is amazing.
But this place seems very costly according to my pocket.
Siddharth Kothari
The staff was unbelievably rude. We have a dog and have taken him there before. He 2 year old small pug, who's totally well behaved and added to that there was one table in the restaurant which was full.
Still they spoke to us very rudely; like having a pet was a crime. If they wanted to accomodate us they could have easily done so near the entrance.
We just wanted to have a quick bite and leave.
Would never bother going there again.

Rules aside there is a way to need to speak with your guests you are in the hospitality business after all.

Please do not promote such people or restaurants who have such antagonising behaviour towards pets and really need to learn the meaning of the word "hospitality."
Prashant Kumaran
A very cozy and beautiful cafe. Superb design with wrought iron furniture gives it a really sophisticated look. It is an expensive place though and best for continental snacking

Visited this place on a a lot of recommendations. Was made to wait for more than an hour for a pasta. Even after waiting for so long, the food we ordered was incorrect. Absolutely rude staff. Would not recommend the place to anybody.

The food was absolutely tasteless, the paneer chilli was sweet, as you can see the size of portion they are serving for fries is too low. There are much better options around you can choose to go somewhere else. It's located in a premium spot yet half of the things from menu were not available. Asked them for beer out of the 5-6 options on the bar menu they only had 1 type of beer. It was frustrating ended up having dinner somewhere else! Avoid this place!
Mr. Cyril
This restaurant does not hold a candle to the original German Bakery in Pune at all. First of all, they have half the menu and then several items on menu will not be available when you order. We wanted a non-spicy veg main course option with not too large a portion, so after much deliberation the waiter recommended veg momos which actually had green chillies in them when they arrived after a long wait and two reminders. He didn’t seem much bothered when we pointed this out. Didn’t even offer a menu to order an alternative. May be they get enough customers just by the brand name but at this rate they soon won’t. The ambiance could have been refreshing with striking wall paintings, but is starting to have quite a run down look which they again seem unapologetic about. Torn upholstery with foam falling out. Water has leaked through walls and paint on walls is starting to come off. Overall, quite a poor experience.
Iwantmorefooodd
Mind blowing Pastries.
Strawberry Jam Sandwich is my most favourite dish they serve.
Food quality is amazing.
The Chicken momo wasn't upto the mark.
Also the staff requires some training.
Everything else is perfect.
Its_a_keny_thing

Pathetic wait staff and a clueless manager. The establishment needs to invest in hiring the staff from good hotel management institutes to get basics of hospitality right.

Loved the feeling, especially the deserts. Good place to visit if you are in town.
Bingeworthy
The place is located in exact lonavla city. I think the place is a bit overpriced. We ordered a chicken barbeque pizza, momos and hot chocolate. To be honest they were pretty basic for the price they serve in. Nothing to be hyped about. It was an okay-okay place for me.
Parth Asher
A rather cozy place with comfy seats, quick service and an amazing ambience.
The wait staff needs to be a little attentive and knowledgeable, tho.
The peach iced tea is one of the best I've drank until now, not iced down, nor too light. Very peachy! Proved a good mixer for my whisky! 💕
Spaghetti Arrabiata was saucy and cooked well, but wasn't spicy even after giving out special instructions.
When I asked for the Chocolate Mousse, the waiter quipped that it contained rum. Umm okay? Like he didn't just serve me a peg of whisky. 🙄🙄
Ishan
Asked if they could replace a few topings on a Pizza. They would be okay in doing 1 but not 2 (sigh). Desperately needs attention with their people skills in a business that needs these skills at its best.

German Bakery is located right in the Lonavala market, close to the Lonavala bus stand. The place offers indoor as well as outdoor sitting with a very limited food menu.

We started off with mocktails, we had the Melito which was a watermelon based drink, I could barely taste the watermelon because of the mint and the ice.

Next we had the Pineapple upside down as a cocktail, it was induced with some caramel and rum and tasted damn good!

In food we had lots of dishes, as the quantity wasn't satisfactory. We ordered the Paprika fries which barely satisfied 2 people, also we ordered the Chicken Chilli cheese toast which was topped heavily with chicken but again just not worth the cost being paid.

For mains we had the Chicken Bolognese and Chicken Lasagne and the Alfredo Chicken Pasta all of them were extremely good with ample chicken in it and even the sauces were lip smacking ! Highly recommended!

Furthermore we had the Chicken Barbeque pizza and the Jerk Chicken Pizza, the bbq one was liked by all but the other one was a bit different in taste and also a bit spicier.

All in all, all of Lonavala this was the one place with a café kinda vibe which was looking out for. And I wasn't disappointed, would love to visit again for desserts!!

After Pune, German Bakery opened its outlet in Lonavala and finally Mumbai. A quick pitstop at German Bakery is mandatory while we are passing by the highway. While my friend relished a good old rolled omelet, I picked up some desserts to munch on the way. The rum bombs and sachertorte is what I got. Honestly, for the price they charge, I was extremely disappointed with what I got this time. It was kinda stale I felt and overall an expensive disappointment!

It's really grt to have place like German bakery in lonavala... Place is located on Mumbai-Pune Road and opposite to Kumar resort. If you r looking for good place for food n drinks in lonavala with your friends or relatives, this is the place. We have ordered kitkat oreo shake which was really tempting. Chicken chilly was just okay. Smoking is allowed inside the cafe.

The food was really bad , not worth the price

German Bakery is a famous breakfast destination.
Had been to Lonavala with friends and hopped into this place for a quick breakie.
From the menu:
😋Bun Maska— Bun Maska and Chai combination can never go wrong.
😋MAC and Cheese Pasta— too cheesy and creamy. Totally loved it.
😋Blueberry Cheesecake— one cannot miss a blueberry cheesecake at this place.

The only thing that has to be improved is the service which can be definitely worked out. We’d to wait for around 45 mins just to place the order after being seated.
This place works on it’s name, service and taste hence a little lapse is also noticed.
Would love to visit this place soon.

This place sucks!! They didn't have air coolers or enough number of fans .. ambience is v okay.. they didn't have the breezer we wanted and the pizza we ordered didn't have a couple of ingredients and it had waiting time of about 40 mins.. Seriously??!! This is so v disappointing!!

Great place to hangout for the evening...Food is great but takes more time to serve with few table busy..cheesecake is yummy
I wished they had veg puff n other bakeries on menu

The most amazing place in lonavala for food lovers has to be the german bakery. Its a famous bakery from Pune and it serves the best ever cheesecakes and pastries. Do try their famous lemon cake and mawa cake.

We tried the olive popeye pizza which was wood fired pizza and it was yum. Also tried the momos. Decent enough they were. Later then we had lemon cake, double chocolate baked cheesecake, mawa cake, classic cold coffee and mango milkshake. I must tell you the milkshake was so good with the best taste and best blend.
Zesty Epicureans
Quite renowned and unique considering the locality. They serve american and english breakfast coupled with other continental cuisine as well. The interiors are decent and have all you need to make yourself comfortable in a cafe.

We tried a series of their omelette combinations - Spanish, poached, masala, cheese with a few siders, bacon and german pork sausage. The eggs were warm, well-seasoned and fluffy but the fact thay they used processed cheese to make each of them did not go well with certain combinations. The sausage and the bacon were pretty decent.

The bun maska and chai was overpriced and below average. They use margerine and what seemed like cheese too which was ridiculous for such a basic item.

The hummus and the pita weren't good too. Barely any olive oil and the pitas were a bit doughy too. The hummus was rendered sour and seemed like it was not fresh at all.

Overall, the place is good for a few drinks in the evening with some selective food as the ambience is decent. The service needs improvement and the stewards need lessons.

Perfect Place on highway for people coming from MUMBAI>PUNE or Going PUNE>MUMBAI to take a halt for breakfast brunch

Ambience - Won hearts💚
Food - Presented well
Atmosphere- This place is little warm , ask for a fan right there
Deserts are must try, we took blueberry pastry which has their authentic taste
Cheers visit this.
It's alright, to say the least. It may be because we came at a time when the place was deserted. But the service and the food were very average and not what like others describe it to be.

We called for the spinach and mushroom, fluffy folded omlettes that came with a piece of toasted bread and exactly two pieces of mashed baby potatoes. It wasn't mind blowing but it was pretty yummy tasting. Not something I'd call for again though.

My friend had their German Bakery Classic Club sandwich which we were told will be toasted, but will be cold. Didn't really understand what that meant but when the sandwich arrived, we realized it's just a cold toasted bread (maybe toasted earlier in the day) + cold veggies and a thin layer of cheese spread. Though it tasted yummy, it definitely was a little dry.

I'd say you try the other stuff out instead. Maybe we didn't pick the right things that day.

Goood food , clean place , nice staff !! All that you want from a decent restaurant/ cafe .
Sandwiches and burgers are a must try ! Also the coffee they serve is yumm : D

We had an amazing breakfast here. The ambience and the food both are worth it. A little but overpriced but I guess that's what you pay for the name. Their desserts are a must have

Visited this restaurant on a Monday evening while travelling from Mumbai to Pune.
The place was almost empty..
Staff was very courteous. Service was quick. A lot of items from the menu wasn't available (Nachos).

We had loved German Bakery Wunderbar Pune so we went to this place with a lot of hope. The furniture is same but nothing else. Food was terrible, ordered Melito which as per description shud have watermelon juice but it tasted like lemon juice. The chicken schnitzel burger has the slimmest chicken pieces and the most fatty bread. Only the cold coffee was excellent

German Bakery is a well known brand in Pune. It opened in Lonavala and I was excited to visit here.

The main reason I visited was for their Bun Maska and Chai. My famiky loves having bun maska and chai in Pune and on our visit, we decided to visit here.

It's location is very apt, right opposite Kumar Resort, they have valet parking too.

We ordered Bun Maska and Ginger Chai. Amazingly fresh buns, perfect amount of butter. The chai was very very nice, a perfect partner for the lazy monsoon.

It's a very cozy place to spend some time specially with loved ones.

They have a vast lunch and dinner menu which I'm hoping to have soon.

Extremely overrated! We waiting half hr for the order to be placed, another 40-50 min for noodles to arrive. Asked them to cancel and left. Waiters aren't too polite either.

Visited this place on a saturday night during rainy season..the place is quite lively and is quite cozy..good place to hangout with friends and family..u get drinks as well..
Food though is a little over hyped..first of all theres next to no salt in all the dishes..all dishes are bland..pasta was pathetic..
Pizza was ok but again no salt and very bland..
Pastries too were good but nothing great..
Service was good..

Service:- 5/5
Food:- 3/5
Ambience:- 5/5
Location:- 5/5

German bakery (Pune) is an all time favourite. Always wanted to come at this outlet. It is spacious and bigger than the former one. The ambience is extremely cosy and lit! Staff is generous. Food is mashallah! Their cheesecakes are my personal favorites. It is a must visit!

I had been to Lonavala with my friends on a weekend and this is one place which you cannot miss if you are going to Lonavla. We had ordered the fish and chips (Rs 350), Barbeque chicken pizza (Rs 425) they cook the pizza is wood fire oven and it was really tasty. We had also ordered the smashed patatoes, paprika fries. We were not disappointed in any of the dishes we ordered. For dessert we had taken the Chocolate mousse cake and the blue berry cheese cake. The cakes here are really good. It’s the perfect dessert after a super awesome meal.

Food is excellent but very expensive. Suttle interiors, great location, staff is polite but service is slow. Their best item on the menu is cheese chilly toast. Mozerellla cheese just melts with first bite. Farm house thin crust pizza was very tasty with broccoli and corn toppings. We ordered few cocktails as well which were not that great. Their masala omlette is also a must try. Cappuccino and masala tea also we ordered which was good. Overall its a nice place for breakfast and snacks but be ready spend few extra bucks for the tasty food.

The worst service I have ever experienced. Need ask 3-4 time for every item, even for ice cubes. Waiters forgets the items which order. Everyone arround is frustrated because of the service.

Mini vacation food cravings led us to Wunderbar. A descent place. This was my first time at German Bakery. Service is ok,could be better. We had a hard time calling our server.
Here's the order:
German Bakery Classic Club Everything and Mashed Potatoes. We also ordered Hash Potato, but wasn't fast enough to click and Hot Chocolate.
One thing I feel the need to point out, they served fresh coriander as garnish which was absolutely refreshing.
Anirudh Venkitaraman
Located right on the main road, this place is easy to be spotted. Took a break here for lunch while riding from Pune to Mumbai a couple of weeks ago. Have visited the Law College road outlet in Pune and have been quite impressed with the food there.

This place however was quite different. It was rather quiet for Saturday afternoon. Ordered the Lasagne, which was good in taste but the quantity was not sufficient. Had to order a chicken burger, but wasn't quite impressed with the taste, but finished it since I was hungry.

At last, I ordered for a strawberry cheesecake and it was by far the worst that I had. It was sour.

All in all, not a great experience when compared to the outlets in Pune.

Cleanliness is another issue that I thought was a deal breaker for me, as I could see flies everywhere inside, and hence had to take a table in the closed room.

Stopped again at Lonavala for lunch last Saturday and instead got burji pav from a street vendor. Was worth it.

I don't recommend this place
Abhishek Rastogi
Tried out the breakfast and was really good. The Spanish omelette was done just right, the masher mashed potatoes were good and the cheesecake was out of this world!

This place is heaven in lonavala. Came here for brunch and had soo many options in the menu to make our brunch special. Pizzas, dark choc brownie, cheesecake, poached eggs , mojito are all a must try.

If you are food lover and also want to chill hours with your friends in a cool place. German Bakery should be your first option in Koregaon. It just does not serve you some yumm cakes and pastries but also serves variety of cuisines and options.. This place looks small from outside but as said do not judge book by its cover. The place is also the same which gives you an experience of both outdoor and indoor services.. You can also smoker here chilling with your friends. Sunday its the most crowded place. We went on an occasion of Freindship day where we got complementary cake which shows the service of the team.

Bored riding amidst of ghat and if you wanna catch up on some snacks, tea or desserts German bakery is one of the best choices you will have in Lonavala . 🌈
They have some amazing dishes on their Ala-carte.
Chai,Bun-Maska, Chicken Junglee Sandwich, Hot chocolate, cheesecake are some of the best option available ♥️
You will enjoy your food while witnessing the wanderlust of nature 💫
Next time you go to Lonavala do try this place !

We went here thinking that it would be like the German bakery in Pune but we were so wrong. The burger was reallllly bad, the Alfredo pasta was below average, the veg lasagna was very okay and the Risotto was decent.
The staff wasn't very helpful.
I wouldn't really recommend this place.

Lovely little place for having some breakfast and desserts in Lonavala. The ambience is pretty good. There are a lot of options on the menu and the food is quite good. The desserts are a must try.

Ambience - 4/5
The place is beautifully done with nice interiors. The colors are light and give a good vibe to the place. Some seats have been innovately done, but can be uncomfortable too. No harm done, the place is good.

Food - 3.8/5

Pink Pasta, Farm House Pizza, Veg Lasagne, Brownie, Strawberry Cheesecake all were good

Corn & Cheese Pizza, Mango Cheesecake were below average.

Service - 3.5/5
It was average. They were not attentive and did not make much special effort for a better experience.

I have gone to the Pune outlet and I love it. That's how I decided to try the lonavala outlet.

From all that i tried the spanish omlette was the best. Extremely well cooked and yummy. A must have for all egg lovers. I also liked the garlic bread, very cheesy and flavourful.

Furthermore, the pink sauce pasta, chilli cheese toast and the veg pizza were disappointing. The hot chocolate and chocolate cake was quite average.

All in all a decent place and cute interiors, however, the Pune outlet is better.

It is one of the best eateries in town!!! Excellent food, amazing presentation and superb hospitality! We have made it a point to visit this place everytime we go to Lonavala. Must try foods are Chilly chicken dry, Jerk chicken and Farmhouse pizza, Chicken caesar salad. They serve drooling Guava Marie mocktails. Donot forget to try the Apple Cinnamon muffin which is crafted with so much love.

Sunday morning we drove down with friends to Lonavla and visited German Bakery for Brunch. The ambience is good, the place was actually full. We stared with Irish Coffee and Spanish Omelette, both were nicely made and served fast also. I also tasted Chilli Cheese Toast which my friend had ordered, it was delicious loaded with chillies and cheese. Overall a good experience.

We were here on the weekend. Beautiful ambience . Very few tables were full when we had been there. We ordered paprika fries which were plain fries and on sending it back they mixed red chilli powder in it. Next was frozen chocolate which was good . Then the burger which mentioned jalepano and cottage cheese and the server said patty is ready still it took 20-25 mins to come by the time you will loose the appetite . And the burger was not at all upto the mark. You will loose ur patience waiting for food and that was not enough we ordered cappuccino as if we made a mistake we reminded almost all the waiters there and the so called head staff but to no meaning. We waited more then 30 mins that may be the place is getting full , its okay but end of it we cancelled the order and they were least bothered and a sorry was forced . Hopeless service . Howsoever decent the ambience or some food items may be but not respecting the customer and a pathetic service is a big downer . Well you can go here with a bag full of patience and to have some okay food. They need to work on service from the basics and learn to respect the customers too. Almost every table was calling the waiters for orders .

German Bakery has become my go-to place whenever in Lonavala as the place doesn’t have many breakfast options that involve eggs.
The restaurant is spacious and clean. Food is up to the mark & offer a decent amount of breakfast options — not too many, not too little. I’ve had German sausage omelette (pic), egg white omelette & poached eggs along with fresh watermelon juice & americano. The service is good with friendly waiters. Highly recommended

One of the best restaurant/cafes I've been to in Lonavala.
GBW, stands high and completely apart from the other places to dine in Lonavala. It offers food that tastes excellent, staff that are so courteous and helpful and ambience that is pretty and quaint.
.
I've experimented with this place for the breakfast meal only and have tried a variety. The desserts in this place are to die for and a definite recommendation.
.
The chocolate brownie is a soft, mushy, moist, decadent and dense chocolaty surprise with chocolate sauce poured over it. It's rich and delicious and something you should definitely try! ✔️
.
The Spanish Omelette is a perfect breakfast option served with potato and buttery toast! Absolutely creamy , cheesy and flavourful! Perfect meal for one with a cold coffee or a cappuccino. ✔️
.
The chicken Club sandwich is massive but very dry , could have been saucier and better. The Lamb Burger with chilli fries is absolutely amazing. Succulent Patty and a Wholesome meal for one.
..
roasted chicken along with the others as part of a breakfast option is also perfect 👌

.
A definite recommendation and a place to reckon with in Lonavala! Thankyou for some amazing Service!

This place is very near to the lonavala station and one of the best options for good food in lonavala.
The Ambience is average but the seating arrangement is comfortable and spacious. The service was slow but the staff was polite.
We ordered :
1) Chocolate and walnut brownie- This was served with hot chocolate and was delicious and one of the best options for desert at this place. Definately an must option for chocolate lovers like me.
2) blueberry cheesecake- The blueberry cheesecake was soft , mouth meting and delicious. No doubt it wad the best cheesecake i've had in a while.

I ordered only these two items but the menu included more options and seemed quite interesting. So, I am definately gonna visit this place again and check out for more interesting varieties.
Highly recommended!!
❤️ Location :
Situated in the midst of Lonavala ; German Bakery Wunderbar is just another place to reach out to .
This place have 4 other outlets in Pune as well at Kothrud , Law College Road , Koregaon Park & Kalyani Nagar .
.
❤️ Ambience & Services :
We visited this place for our Sunday Brunch & from outside it looked like an average sized bakery shop but once we crossed the threshold all these cavernous space opened up.
They have a very big spacious area with tables and chairs on one side and the another seating area where tables and chairs are replaced with sofa and centre tables with vibrant wall paintings all over .
The service part was great and decent .
The staffs were cordial and helped us with their suggestions .
.
❤️ Food :
➰ Spanish Omelette : ₹200
➰Spicy Chicken Drumsticks : ₹325
➰Barbecue Chicken Pizza : ₹425
➰Chicken Lasagne : ₹350
➰Nachos : ₹220
➰Tiramisu : ₹180 .
.
❤️ Ratings :
🌟Food : 4/5
🌟Ambiance : 4/5
🌟Service : 3/5
🌟VFM : 3/5
🌟 @craveable_savour Rating : 4/5 .

Overall a fun Sunday brunch ; and if I ever travel Lonavala again I am sure to visit this place .
.
.
.
.
#foodreview #foodporn #food #foodlover #foodie #foodblogger #lonavala #mumbai #foodiebyheart #tiramisu #ambience #germanbakerywunderbar #foods #zomato #craveablesavourbykartika #valueformoney #chicken #omlette #foodiebybirth

Food is okay but staff service is very bad ,had to leave our seat to call the staff just for menu, let alone for other request.
So if you don't have a good patience level then I suggest don't go there.

Me and my friend ordered one pizza, one pasta and roasted wedges. We were massively disappointed with the slow service. Not only that, we had to wait for a full 20 mins to get the menu on our table. A simple instruction for packing the food was not comprehended by the staff. I heard that the place was amazing. But I would not recommend this place to anyone. After the meal I was waiting for the bill for 15 mins. Extremely incompetent
Been to this place on Monday afternoon. It was not crowded. Seating was comfortable. Food we ordered was Hash potatoes, Fries, roasted chicken. Hash potatoes was good nice and tender ,fries was not oily and was served with garlic mayo dip which is worth try. Roasted chicken was not juicy and very blend. Dessert we took home German bakery spl dark chocolate pastry which was yum must try. Service was good fast enough. Overall must visit place in lonavala.

Have visited the German Bakery, Law College Road on multiple occasions and love the food and service there so decided to go to German Bakery, Lonavla.
And oh, so disappointing.
Reached there around 12 40 pm and entered the restaurant to find no manager who we could talk to. We had to look for a place on our own, which was highly disappointing.
We were celebrating a birthday so we had a home baked cake with us but the hotel staff informed that we could not even cut the cake in the restaurant as they place have their own cakes, so it’s mandatory to buy just them.
The food was nothing great, the ambience could be so much better and oh, no valet service too.
Definitely a place to miss!

The place is in heart of city. Not much great with ambience but it has some awesome food items. Pics attached

But but but.... Service was pathetic. We went on Saturday afternoon when there were just 3tables occupied.
Cleaning staff took ages to clean the table we wanted to sit on. Cafe Mocha and Irish coffee were given with no stiring spoons to mix. We used soup spoons that didn't mix the last ingredient of the glass with our beverage because soup spoon never touched the base. We had to ask for everything at least 3times. Staff was just chilling around too. You got a name to manage. If you can't do it please don't spoil it so badly.

This place is centrally located in the Lonavala market along the main highway further connecting to Khandala. It’s opposite to kumar water resort and has loads of crowd coming in. Apart from hippy youngsters there are families and couples and kids coming in too. Ambience with complete utilisation of space is visible. Not to much efforts on interiors and by keeping it basic the place adds aura and has wonderful music going on. I think as compared to morning light, evening breeze and dim lights are more welcoming.
We had jerk chicken pizza well cooked with ample amount of chicken with tangy spicy taste to it with crispy base, definitely one must try.
Amongst desserts we had baked blue berry cheese cake, just wowwwww. My heart was craving for one more! I must say all desserts here are tasty with balanced amount of sugar in it, but this one has to be my all time favourite!!
If in Lonavla and have cravings for small appetite, then German Bakery is an option! In terms of price, a bit expensive as compared to other eatery options nearby. But then once a while one can be ok with it too.....
Great hangout for group of frens with loud rock music enjoying glass of beer and nice yummy starters!
My ratings would be :
Food : 4/5
Ambience : 3.5/5
Service : 4/5
Music : 4/5

Eat to enjoy!🙂♥️

The service is disgusting... it's slow and when we confronted they are like it's a busy day so things are moving slow can't u see the amount of people here
We went there with a lot of hope, but very disappointed. Menu is very limited, they don't have half the desserts, the service is horrible and the maintenance is questionable. I had to get up and go to the counter everytime I wanted to order as even after keeping my hand up like in class, for 5 whole minutes by the watch, no one came to the table. Then I started saving with both my hands up in air to finally get the attention of the waiter. Bathrooms are disgusting. The desserts were also very average.

Ambience is great, and it's located in the main lonavala market. The food was good but not exceptional. I had Lasagna, Irish Coffee and Litchi Cooler. If we talk about Lasagna, I didn't like it. The taste was not something that would linger in your memories. I was happy with the drinks. What I found a little off was Litchi Cooler. What I loved the most was Irish Coffee, tasted quite good. Quite recommended.

Had been there for an afternoon snack when in lonavala.

Place has a very chill vibe, neat clean and good music. Parking can be a pain though!

We ordred a veg club and pizza. Both was really good. Pizza i do want to mention was thin , and the cheese made it taste very much like streeet pizza joint in NYC. I like my pizzas like that so loved it

Special mention of their white dip sauce.. not sure of the name but tasted like ranch ..did go for second serving of it

This friendly and exotic place located at Lonavala serves lip smacking delicious food and ensures that the customers leave happily. We tasted some of their signature dishes and heres what we have to say about it.

1. Frozen hot chocolate milkshake - A paradoxically named drink consisting of hot chocolate flavoured shake topped with choco chips and whipped cream. This drink is a form of heaven for the chocolate lovers and we bet you wont stop after taking a sip from it.

2. Hafoos mango milkshake - Mangos during summers are an important option to chose from a descriptive menu. Mangos were blended smoothly and the milkshake was served ice cold. Just like you would want to relish it.

3. Kheema pav - The traditional kheema pav was served with a sunny side up which made the dish even more delicious. Prepared with Indian spices, the dish was medium spicy and the kheema was tender and juicy. Its serves with 2 pieces of pav and lemon. This dish is very famous at German Bakery and a good option to chose for your lunch or dinner.

4. Jerk chicken pizza - Thin crust pizza topped with roasted thin sliced chicken pieces and loads of cheese. Tastes a little bland.

5. Strawberry cheesecake- Soft, succulent and mouth melting once you take a bite. Proportionately sweet with the strawberry flavor blended perfectly. This cake is a craving you cant resist.

6. Chocolate and walnuts brownie- This walnut brownie is served warm with hot chocolate sauce added to it. Goey and delicious are the only two words to describe them.

If you're in lonavala visiting the German bakery is a smart decision to make as the food served here is worth every penny.

The menu on zomato is very different from the actual menu card in the restaurant. Entire sections of the menu card are missing in the restaurant menu card.
Great ambience. You should definitely try their BBQ Chicken Wings. Their pizzas and nachos are good too. Amazing place to hangout on weekends.

Visited on a friday afternoon in sweltering april heat , good service , ordered paneer akuri on toast , was very filling , noodles ooldles veg , very nice preparation ( they even obliged by making it leas spicy as requested ) , lost that 1 star because they kept a window open in the AC section, draining all the heat out ... worth a visit ... parking wasnt a prpblem in the afternoon , but towards evening you may have to park on your own away from restaurant.. no valet
Worst food ever tasted!
I ordered chicken pizza, pasta alfredo, veg burger, paneer, ice tea and none of it was tasty.
Don't waste your money.
Paneer was not fresh, burger was pathetic.
We went there on a dey day on account of the 2019 election, but I swear it was one of those amazing brunches that I would cherish without alcohol.
We ordered for the chicken cordon blue sandwich, sausage omelette, cappuccino, iced hot chocolate and the blueberry baked cheesecake as the finisher.
The food was just right in quantity and had an amazing after taste in the mouth.
Loved the sausage omelette. Beware non pork lovers, this is a pork sausage blanketed within an omelette making it a pork lovers paradise. Asked for extra cheese which just melted while the omellete was being cut.
The iced hot chocolate is a definite try for the sugar rush craving.
Loved the pomegranate stuffing in the chicken cordon blue...it was just perfect in terms of decor and quantity.
Lastly, the blueberry cheesecake was out of this work...one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had till date and I can vouch for it...
Don’t mind paying a refund back to someone who didn’t like it also..
