Review Buvachi Misal - Lonavala

Chirag Bhat
Spicy!! If you love spicy food, this is as spicy as it gets. The service takes time as there is always a queue. Prices are very reasonable though. Definitely worth a try.
Nikhil Gandhe
Short list of maharashtrian misal and snacks. Jain options available. It can get crowded as place is of moderate area. Good food and service is reasonably fast. Try misal, bhaji, solkadhi. Vada pav is good too. Surrounding of place is peaceful and out of traffic area. It closes by 7.30 pm so plan accordingly.

Really awesome misal pav, must have breakfast when you travel to lonavala. Onion bhaji and potato vada is also very very nice. I also loved the tea.

Its a famous place for misal pav in lonavala. We did a morning bike ride from Mumbai to lonavala to have this breakfast and it didn't disappoint us.. Misal was yum and we tried cheese and butter misal both were good. Onion bhaji was really good. Also do try Shengon chi kachori, it was really tasty..
Sukhada
They don't have a lot of varieties in misal but the classic misal is tasty. The vadapav also is a must try. We also had coffee here which was delicious.

So beautiful yet so simple. This place serves the best Maharashtrian food in Lonawala. A beautiful place is like the gateway Jannat to put in poetic terms. The food simple titillates your taste buds and the filtered coffee puts even the best branded coffee on the market to shame. This place has grown through the years it's charm is it's simplicity, it's magic is it's foid and drink. All home made food served by friendly earnest people.

Og Missal Pav! Let me tell you, it's an absolute gem of a place! The moment I took my first bite of their Missal Pav, I was blown away by the burst of flavors dancing on my taste buds. The spicy and tangy notes combined with the soft, fluffy pav were a match made in foodie heaven. The whole experience was like a delightful party in my mouth! The ambiance there just added to the joy of the meal. If you love flavorful and authentic missal, this place is an absolute must-try! Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Known throughout Lonavala for its misal. The misal pav here is delicious. Really good misal pav is served here.
Akash Karkera
This place is known for its misal pav and its variety. It was spicy but not as delicious as it appears, at least not for me. Yes other things like kandha(onion) bhajiya and vada were tasty.. The place is self-service, you need to pay 1st and then take your order. Only cash is accepted here, no other option is available.
Vishnu Gawas
The food was good. Misal, Vada pav are a must try. The sol kadi was good too. It's a self service. Cash and online payments are accepted. The rates are reasonable.

Hygienic good quality also solkadi tasty. Good place for family to have Maharashtra kokan Misal Pav of different taste . Very decent place

We visited this place for breakfast. It's located just behind Faryaz hotel. The first thing I would like to address is the fact that there was no social distancing. I know it should come from within and we need to keep that in mind. I just felt the owner should have enforced it a bit more. Coming to the food it was good I need not find it as great as they have made it to be but it was good. The butter misal was good and so was the bata vada misal. The vada pav was good as well.

Inframe - Cheese Misal

ЁЯУНBuvachi Misal , Lonavala

So we did heard alot about this place , as its very hyped for tasty Misal and thought of giving it a try , on our recent trip to Lonavla in winters . We stopped here for Breakfast early in the morning and the place was already full , we got seats after some time . As the weather was so cold early morning , it surely demanded chai and vadapav and it was best .
Talking about the famous Buvachi Misal , they serve different varieties of Misal , We had Cheese Misal and it was decent in taste .

I got to know about this place from bloggers feed on Instagram. The pictures were quite appealing so while traveling to pune we decided to try the misal from this place and we were disappointed!! The taste is below average. Other stuff that we had (Kanda bhajjis, tea and kharvas) tasted good.
Janvi Khombhadia
This cold climate makes us crave a lot of food and especially some spicy food that can help to make you warm. I have heard a lot about Buvanchi misal so I finally gave it a try on my recent trip to Lonavala. Honestly, I found it quite hyped. The misal was not spicy but, kinda sour. Also, the spices weren't cooked properly and we got a hit of turmeric powder. The batata vada tasted only of chilies, making it unbearable after the first few bites. Also, the Kanda bhaji they served was cold. My friends vouched for this place and they have eaten good stuff here but, probably the quality has deteriorated and also, it was Sunday so it might be this bad.
Rishabh Karnik
Unheard place amidst of the cliched German Bakery and McDonalds. Breakfast at this place was rather pleasant.
Komal Patil
This placed is very hyped for its tasty misal. I went to lonavala with my friends and we had breakfast here at buvachi misal. I found the misal very average. Not that good , not too bad. Misal wasn't that spicy.
Food Triangle
The food here was quite decent
Loved kanda bhajia
Even I loved cheese misal would rate it 5/5
Would recommend it to everyone
Where as the normal misal didn't .even taste good

Whenever you visit lonavala, don't forget to hop in here. This place is hyped for its misal. Perfect for a breakfast meal and definitely not disappointing. It was spicy and mouthwatering. The best you can have to make your stomach happy! Do try this dish out, also they have vada and tea as well.

Authentic Maharashrian Breakfast

Location- Buaachi Missal, Lonavala.

Located on Hilltop,in lonavala near to the fariyas resort on old Mumbai-Pune express way is this hidden gem called 'Buvachi missal'.
This non ac tiny joint serves most amazing breakfast options which can beat breakfast served at any five star resort.

We ordered :

Misal Pav - rs.50
It had right balance of sprouts, oil & spices topped up with chawana/farsan, onion, tomatoes & lemon. I cannot even begin to explain what feeling this Misal Pav gave me. We were visiting Lonavla and ate at yum places but little did we expect this tiny joint in the bylanes of nowhere would end up becoming the highlight of the trip!┬а

The scrumptious 'teekhat' thecha was the hero of the dish. Well, yeah, obviously so was the misal but that thecha complemented the whole misal and when my nose started watering, that's when I knew this was a perfect match in heaven, right there, in front of me.┬а

My friend and I promised ourselves to come back again, all the way from Mumbai to have it again because unfortunately we were stuffed and couldn't eat more than a plate. But guess who's coming back empty stomach to devour their whole menu?

Buvachi misal
The most famous place for misal. The ambiance is not that appealing. It is one of the best place serving wide range of misals in lonavla. This place is non- Ac and can accommodate 25-30 people at a time. This place is located lil bit away from the high way then to this mouth watering misal cravings drag them to location. This place is always crowded especially in rainy and winters. Bikers and trekkers visit this place after enjoying beautiful points on lonavla.
Do try their butter misal, cheese misal, kanda-bhaji. Spicy lover's they have something really amazing chutney for you called mirchi-cha-thecha(green chilli smashed) . The serve this chutney along with misal and kanda-bhaji. Who would have thought a simple thing like sprout when spiced up and mixed farsaan and eaten with raw pav could give you an experience that lasts forever?
Such was an experience at Buvachi Misal! If you are from Mumbai or Pune this is one of the most iconic places to have Misal in Lonavala. Definitely worth taking a slight detour to experience this.

#khaliwalletdiaries #misal #lonavala #foodie #maharashtrain #delicacy

I am someone who doesn't like misal at all. I always found it very oily, way too spicy and super unhealthy but this Misal is very different. It has a very unique taste and right balance of oil, spices, farsan, sprouts and onions.
Must Must try тШСя╕П

Having heard great praises of this very popular Misal place in Lonavla, we set to try it out today morning.

Though Buvachi Misal starts by 9am, there were crowds when we got there 15 mins later and all tables, inside as well as outside, were occupied. We got a table after 5-10 mins of wait but the benches were dirty and we had to request them to clean it. A waiter came upto us after 5 mins to take our order and we obviously ordered their famous Misal and a plate of hot kanda bhaiyas as suggested by him. Within a minute, he placed a plate of 2 pavs (not hot), chopped onion, tomato and a spoon of spicy thecha on our table. Our plate of Misal came in much later, after five mins.

As expected, the Misal was extremely spicy and every spoonful of it had to be accompanied by a piece of pav so as to even out the spiciness. We called for some cold drinks to go with the food. Additional Misal gravy was provided for those who asked. The proportion of pulses, farsan, tomato and onion garnish and gravy in the Misal was roughly 10:50:30:20. The pulses and gravy content in the Misal was extremely low which was quite disappointing for me. Our plate of onion bhaiyas never came and they didn't have the slightest memory of us ordering the same.

Even as we left, we saw that the place continued to get crowded with families queuing up outside to have Misal (variants of butter, cheese and Paneer also available), Batata wada, Onion bhaiyas, Sol kadi and buttermilk. However, for us, the food was a disappointment and not something for which I would make an effort to come.

This place is in the inside of Lonavala and has been totally famous for years for their misal. They serve jain as well as non- jain misal, even vada pav, and is very famous for its special chutney with vada pav. Taste wise the food was really good and enjoyed it thoroughly .

While traveling from Mumbai to Pune I searched popular restaurants. I found this restaurant having 4.1 rating. Very famous for its misal. So, I went and tried it. I can described this restaurant in a single word 'Overhyped'. There was nothing great
In Taste I found it just average. I tried their batata wada as well. Misal is still ok but batata wada was
Worst.

I found out about this place on my recent trip. It's perfect for those after party mornings (or afternoons!) in Lonavala. Also tried their Kanda bhaji, vada Pao and chaas. The chaas was not to my liking- it was not well fermented. The misal was super spicy but the service was a bit slow so we had to wait a lot to even get water. It was tasty though.

I always get amazed by the places we visit, not only by the place we are riding to and but also by the place we have our breakfast at.So this time we went to Tungarli Lake which is in Lonavala. Our breakfast destination this time is truly a hidden gem. Buvachi Misal, as the place is called, is a small place exactly behind Fariyas Resort.
This place has a seating for not more than 30-35 people at a time which on weekends gets completely full.
What we ate:
Misal Pav: Lentils layered with onions, tomatoes, coriander topped with Farsan and spicy curry poured over. When you visit to lonavala must try out this place for varieties of misal such as cheese, paner and jain misal . Quantity and quality taste everything was good. Not that Good as expected, overhyped place. No one will attend you, you have to create your own place to sit. No need to talk about hygiene as it's a small and unorganized place.
Vada pav was good but misal is not up to the mark, Rass was ok but missed the charm of so called "MISAL". not worth a try

Tried this place during my weekend stay at Lonavla as it was recommended to me by a friend. Small place, with not more than 35-36 seats. Is typically full on a Sunday and you need to wait a bit.

Misal was good. Tasty, moderately spicy, good mixture of sprouts, cut onions and tomato and farsaan.

Service: Fast and Prompt.

Thing to remember: There is self service here. You have to collect your order from the counter.

Other things you must have with your misal are Tea, Buttermilk.

Must try: Kanda Bhaji which is accompanied with a Green chilly thecha.

On a trip to lonavala we tried this place out .

Food : This place sells only misl pav like butter misl , cheese misl , plain misl etc . Didn't like the food much . The pav served was really cold .

Service : The service was bad , had to keep asking for our order .

Ambience : Not much in terms of ambience .

Would not advise people to go .

If it's Lonavala, then it has to be buvachi misal.
The stay is just in complete without it.
Traditional style misal ,Vada pav ,Kanda bhaji and it authentic Maharashtrian Solkadhi...
You also get Jain Misal pav that is also as good as regular.

Fabulous taste. Crunchy farsan and subtle matki along with freshly chopped tomatoes, onions and corriender.
Initial serving doesn't have much tarri, so make sure you ask for tari if you can handle it.
Mirchi thecha in side dish makes it a bit special.
Every bite just explodes in the mouth.
Very humble joint with great taste and decent service.

Aila.....kay misal!

Unassuming Hole in the Wall which serves a really tasty misal with sidekicks i.e. onions and lemons. You can opt for extra tarri or rassa to keep the pav interesting.

Also tried the wadapav which was a complete let down, hence stick to the speciality - misal.

DonтАЩt expect an ambience or any such taam jhaam- this is a place that takes you back to college days hence super value for money.

And the taste lingers long after you are done eating!

Early morning ride to lonawala then this place should be on your list for misal and hot bhajiya and chai. Misal can be customized ( spicy / mild) as per your taste buds. Menu is short and simple

It's a fairly known place so could be waiting for place to sit especially on weekends. I really hope they expand sitting area.
Sometimes difficult to get staff attention but otherwise ЁЯСН for taste consistency.

One of the best misal I've eaten. It's a must visit place for all misal lovers. It's a bit out of the way for people who come from outside Lonavla, but totally worth it. Even the batata vada was delicious.

I have been going to this place from last 6years, Their misal pav is really amazing the taste has continued the same as it was before. Even price is also appropriate true taste of misal with good service and affordable rates.

The iconic Buachi Missal lovated just near Fariyas Hotel has been here for many years and os going to be here for the days to come.

They have developed a lot since 2years and made thier mark in Lonavala.

Aunty there looks after all the operations and makes absolutely spicy and lip smacking missal.

Before ordering itself, you have to be specific if you want a spicy rassa or a mild spicy rassa. If you like to taste different misals in the town, then this is must visit place. Place is nearby from lonavala Station, hardly five mins from highway. They have mataki curry which takes time to develop the taste.. Overall worth it. Do make sure you check timings as they run out of stock quickly

With just 4 items on menu this place is the power house of flavours. Misal here is spicy and the best. If you are in Lonavala on weekends, plan breakfast here with traditional Maharashtrian delicacies. Local feel in ambiance and food.

Hungry Young Man -AmisH
Now it has been almost 1.5 years that I am in Pune, and not a single day passes without making me regret that I haven't had the tradational Puneri misal yet. I love misal in general, but I am nit a fan if spicy stuff and this particularly has stopped me from exploring. So I was in Lonavala and then was surfing through Zomato and cane across this bad boy, BUVACHI MISAL! It suited all my needs especially being in my budget and being enroute! So thats where we headed.

It lived up to its reputation, cause it was really crowded. We got a table in minutes, though the service was poor. A limited menu of Misal, Bhaji and wada helps you in not wasting time going through the menu, and it was very obvious that I will be ordering misal pav.

There were some variants to this maharashtrian dish with butter, cheese and paneer, but I wanted to try their normal one. The pav came to our table first and they looked really fresh. Followed by misal which also looked really tempting. I did not have the guts to put on some 'tari' to it, and so just enjoyed it the way it came. It wasn't spicy at all, but I felt that it was and so wasn't actually able to enjoy it. But I could say that it tasted good.

We also had the kanda bhajia. The pro was that they came to our table hot and yummy, but we had to wait for like 20 minutes for it! Bhajia is a thumbs up( as they were not spicy!)

Buvachi misal isnt that good that I would travel cities for having it, like some misal esnthusiasts do, but its definitely something you can try if you are in town!┬а

Happy Burping!!!

I had been to this place for the second time in six months, it is located in a bit secluded but posh area i.e. behind fariyas hotel. It's a family driven eating joint and a lady operates the kitchen which leaves no room for error and lovely food in making. They serve misal primarily but they also make hot hot Batata vadas, mixed bhaji etc. A place gets a famous tag only when locals enjoy the food there, the people go here and enjoy the misal.

They serve matki misal which is my favourite personally and they topped it with tomatoes and onions. They also give the onions and tomatoes separately along with thecha, the red chilli thecha is bearable on the spiciness and isn't very spicy. Had ordered their Butter misal it had a big dollop of butter on the top, loved the place, Loved the misal and loved the vibe of the place gives a very homely feeling.

Must have it for misal lovers whenever you are in Lonavala. My favourite place whenever I feel hungry in the morning for breakfast. Visiting this place since decade. Small place. Nice staff. Have to be in a queue as itтАЩs always crowded.
Ps
Sunday morning fresh Time
I had gone to
#Buvachi Misal
Test was excellent I really loved it.....
The ambiance was awesome
I would like to visit again and again
Buvachi Misal
If visiting Lonavala start try to visit this place.
They have 3 types of Misal 1- Simple without Spicy, 2- Medium Spicy 3- Spicy Red.
Order according to your taste but Medium Flavour is Far better then all types.
Overall it's good doesn't linger my taste buds.To be very honest I felt it's little overrated may be. Coz we found many small places around which are better than this .Will Surely add those food joints here.
SantoshNair
This place is away from the highway, tucked behind Fariyas hotel and yet so popular. There isn't too many items on the menu, serves only Misal, Vada Pav, Bhaji in a small family run outlet. I only tried the Misal and it deserves all the high ratings, quite different from what you get in Mumbai
Sameer Ranade
There is no doubt that in last decade or so Misal has gained immense popularity with Misal joints mushrooming everywhere in and around Pune .But not every Misal is liked. There are people who judge Misal on its spiciness, there are some who like Farsaan while there are some who believe real Misal has sprouts ( matki usal ) , Pohe, Potato and some amount of Farsaan. And then there is a debate whether Puneri Misal is better or Kolhapuri .
Girish Agrawal
My Lonavla trip is always incomplete without visit to BUVACHI MISAL.
Being a big fan of Misal, I am always in search of great Misal and never miss a chance to try new joints for same.Though I love spicy Misal like Kata-Kirr, Buvachi┬аMisal though not being too spicy strike the balance of spiciness with the Farsan and Sprouts. Kandabhaji and Vadapav here really tasty and very few outlets can give quality they offer.Place is always crowded with people from Mumbai and Pune on Weekends, still waiting here is worth it.

Buvachi Misal is located near Fariyas Hotel in Lonavala and is a favorite spot among all the people travelling to Lonavala.

The restaurant has a pretty short and simple menu and they serve Misal, Kanda Bhaji, Vada Pav and Tea. ... Loved the typical Misal at Buvachi Misal in Lonavala ...

Buvachi Misal sells three kinds of misal тАУ spicy, medium-spicy and normal. I would recommend you try the spicy misal pav which feels like a burst of flavours in the mouth. The red curry is quite thick and spicy and has a little crunch that comes from toppings such as chivda and onions. The misal is served with buttered pav and thecha, which is basically a paste-like condiment made of green chillies and garlic. BuvachiтАЩs kanda bhajji and vada pav are also nice if youтАЩre in for something light and non-spicy. The place also sells special Jain misal pav every Saturday and Sunday.

Overall rating :

Ambience - 4/5
Food - 5/5
Service - 5/5

Go to this small place to fulfill your love for typical misal and bhaji Pav !! And believe me u will not be disappointed and it shall become a must visit every time u visit Lonavala / Pune !!
Buvachi Misal

Buvachi Misal is located near Fariyas Hotel in Lonavala and is a favorite spot among all the people travelling to Lonavala. The restaurant has a pretty short and simple menu and they serve Misal, Kanda Bhaji, Vada Pav and Tea.

Misal[ Rs 50]: The misal which had good quality farsan, along with sprouts (matki), chopped onion and tomatoes, the rassa was thin in consistency and medium spicy, it was served with fresh and soft pav, the rasaa is not so flavorful and is mild on spice levels, they serve a green chilli thecha along with the misal and if you add the same to misal it enhances the flavor of the misal.

Overall: Service was quick in spite of heavy rush on Sunday and restaurant was hygienic, quantity of misal is less as compared to what we get in most of the misal outlets. It was a very short visit and next time I would definitely like to explore the Kanda Bhaji and Vada Pav as well. A decent option to try if you are in Lonavala.

Location: Behind Fariyad Resort, Parshwapuram, Lonavala, Pune

Loved the typical Misal at Buvachi Misal in Lonavala, Best was that they do serve Jain too. Really delicious and homely made Misal Pav with love and hygiene. Must go for this when you are in Lonavala :)

Jabardast.....
One of the best misal i have ever tested...
They give you green chutney ( thecha) wich makes it more testy...
Whenever your in lonavla and near Fariyas Resort try this misal... Its just amazing

I always give less star when there is hype of any food joint n we visit n then the place have literally OK┬а food!!!!

This place s long awaited n my list as I heard so much about the place.... but when we visit n taste their misal ....Its worst than any misal I ever visit n Mumbai n Pune!!!!!!!!..n then i realised they r famous n Lonavala only:P

first of all...Misal s non spicy...then ingredients contents some watery rassa with tasteless farsan n lots of onion n tomato!!! thts it...wht??? also the tarri given s not at all spicy n tasty!!

Second the accountant lady s having too much attitude may be just because they are famous in lonavala for misal??it's funny!!

I like to tell owner ....Bhai bahen kabhi aao lonavala Ke bahar ....hamari Mumbai,Nashik me aao mamaledar ,bhamare, aswad, chulivarchi misal chakho....usako bolte he famous!!!!

Please upgrade your misal...people coming to your place with high expectation!!!

1 more thing I 100% sure all good ratings are given by may be proper Puneri people(as all puneri misal(not kolhapuri n satari in pune..they r good) sucks all time even being famous) r any 1 who always like 'PANCHAT' food!!!

This place proves the proverb, "The pearl is always hidden secretly.". Since, this place is hidden in a secluded area in Lonavala. But, the misal pav here is just the tastiest misal pav I've ever had. All spicy food eaters will love it. Also, I love the way of serving the Misal gravy in the small buckets. The misal pav here goes good with the spicy green chilli thecha and onions served with the misal pav.
Pooja
After listening so much about this place, finally went here to try misal pav & some bhajiyas. One of the best misals I have had, without any doubt. Authentic misal & thecha along with it just brings the right amount of spice. Definitely would recommend to yтАЩall! Bhajiyas and warm chai on a rainy day was a like a cherry on the cake! Ambiance is okayish but that isnтАЩt the major concern as food is good!
Kunal Dalvi
Exaggerated place. No hygiene. No queue system and you have to grab the table. Waiter takes their own sweet time to clear and clean it. Still i would not have that mind or even ambiance but even hero of the house - their Misal lacks taste and character. It's more like watery soup with soggy farsan. Also tried the kanda bhaji which was not impressive either. Non crispy and cold. Better avoid going there.

After reading few previous reviews, reached at this place at sharp 9am to avoid rush. The restaurant has now shifted in a new building just adjacent to the previous joint.

The misal arrived around 15-20 mins after ordering. Was expecting it to be piping hot considering the wait time. However I was disappointed to find the misal cold. The taste was good and delicious. The spice quotient is on the upside compared to the average spice consuming adult. It is served along with chopped tomatoes, onions and thecha. The batata wada never arrived and had to cancel the order eventually. They even sell their in house packaged water bottle at Rs. 25 / litre.

Ambience: 3/5
Taste: 3.5/5
Value for money: 2/5
Parking Space: 4/5
Service: 2.5/5
Perhaps only place after Manshakti centre for Authentic misal , Kanda bhajji and vada in Lonavala. The thechaa served is really awesome. friendly smiling staff, every dish is served piping hot. Real value for money
This place deserves more than a 5- star. Located close to Fariyas resort, they serve authentic misal pav. Their bajji pav is also to die for served along with the spicy green chutney. The staff there is also courteous and helpful.

BUACHI MISAL!
Misal is something which every Mumbaikar loves, anytime & anywhere. This place in lonavala is one of the most famous misal place. It is located at just 100m to the left of the Fariyas Hotel. We totally love this small place. They serve unlimited RASSA and freshly chopped onion tomato with the Misal. In addition to this, they also serve a green chilly chutney along with the misal for people who love "zhanzhanit" misal. The place is open from 9am to 7.30pm.
Highly recommended by @thefoodvoyagers .
.
Approx. cost for two: 100тВ╣
Our Rating: 4/5
The place is very famous for the STREET food... I would have loved this more if the place was clean more..

food: the Misal was not spicy at all.. I donтАЩt know how come people who love Misal can like a blunt Misal..

The taste was blunt with no aroma of spices.. I would not like to go again but you may try..

Ambience , itтАЩs road side place.. so the small canteen.. itтАЩs good but not that clean..
Best Misal I ever had. This place is small and bit outskirt of Lanavala but worth visit to this outlet. You can have varieties of Misal and Bhajji.

One of the better places for breakfast/snacks in Lonavala.

The embodiment of "swasta ani masta".

Buvachi Missal is a hidden gem of sorts, located in the quiet vicinity of Fariyas Resort, this place has a very simple menu, Missal, Kanda Bhajji, Vada Pav and Tea. Even though they have simple and limited menu, the crowds they attract range from all walks of life. The limited menu has made them good at what they do. The food caters to everyone's taste.

The Eponymous Missal

If you have come here for some Missal, this is a good place for that, if your want is the spicy kind, then you can alter it's taste with their spicy green chilli thecha, made in house. It's a pretty fierce flavour, anyone with a want for that extra spice is welcome to try it.

Kanda Bhajji

The Bhajji is perfect. The right amount of onion to batter consistency. The Bhajji is a process, new batches are taken out every few minutes. The result is piping hot, fresh, slightly sweet (caramelized onions) Bhajji.

The Vada Pav

Didn't try it

The Tea

A watery mess.

To summarize the above, Buvachi Missal is a great pitstop, certainly better than Kamat's downhill

Small place in the interiors, a walking distance from Fariyas this place has become a famous spot for locals and tourists alike. Their signature dish - Misal, was spicy for my taste and with the added red gravy given generously it can become more spicier. Other specialties the Vada pav and the bhaji was also very good. The place has outdoor seating as well as interior seating and normal interiors for a small place. The staff are very helpful and quick to serve. To wash down the spiciness they have variety of branded ice-creams. Overall a nice place for the famous local snack -Misal. Surely should be on your list if you visit Lonavala.
Bingeworthy
So if you are in lonavla and you wanna have amazing misal, this is the place. Well, you wont get a fancy ambience here but if you are the one who admires food more than the place, you would love this place. The misal here is amazing. They give extra misal rassa and chutney on the side. The price is cheap too. People here are friendly. Its a small place but its crowdy all the time. I often go there to have misal. One must definitely visit this place and have the mouthwatering misal.

Are you in Lonavala and love visiting new places to eat? Then head over to Buvachi Misal RIGHT NOW and try out their awesome Misal.┬а

Their other dishes such as Vada Pav and Kanda Bhajis are also pretty good and the overall experience was enjoyable and unique given that this isn't a place you get to visit everyday (especially for people living in Mumbai).

We were in Lonavala n wanted to try our hands on some local delicacy.. found this place to very famous among the tourists there.. so tried it
Firstly it is in the interior and a little away from highway so you have to deroute and the misal took so long to reach our tables.. it was just a very average misal the oneтАЩs foreigners might like .. or people who canтАЩt handle spicy food.. being a mumbaikar .. I have had far better misal than this
Gaurav Pande

An authentic missal joint we found out of nowhere. Located a lil inside from highway this outlet serves best of missal in the entire vicinity. Its very cost effective and has missal with regular and spicy rassa options. They also serve vada and kanda bhaji which are very crisp and goes very well with breakfast. Thr staff is very humble while service can be sometimes time consuming. They have inside seating as well as an open area

If you crave for some spicy Misal - some really spicy misal that will force you shed tears or sweat on ur forhead - this is the place to be.

We friends were enjoying our weekend in Lonavla and decided to visit this place. Its interiors are basic. They are functional from morning 10ish to 7 in evening and you will notice this place full always. Atleast we found this place full when we visited.

What we tried :

1. Misal Pav (ask for extra spicy)
2. Batata Vada
3. Kanda Bhaji
4. Chaas

This place is famous for its Misal, so you should dedinitely try it. We couldnt stop ourselves from order Kanda Bhaji as its aroma was tooo tempting. Batata Vada was good. Chaas became a must order as the misal curry was so spicy I literally started sweating after finishing half way down the plate.

Must Must Go !!

On sunday while returning from our lonavla trip we decided to stop before food court at khopoli for a quick snack and on searching we came up to this place.Well an adversary warning ,google maps just plays up and will take you on the other side.Ensure u take a left from fariyas hotel to reach this place. The place is quite small and traditional wood planks tables like our tea centres, but nowhere this is a small place when it comes on taste. They have an outdoor and indoor section.
We started off by ordering
Kanda bhaji
The kanda bhaji was quite good and especially the thecha was amazing . A must try
Tikat misal
The missal served here was of moog and the tari was quite amazing ,it had boiled potatoes ,onion tomato, moog misaal topped with slice of lemon
The tickat variant of missal is a must try and not for faint hearted.
Batata wada
Superb ! The best wada in lonavla is served here and u need to have this whenever u visit this place .The potatoe stuffing was amazing and an usp for this .

Verdict:Buvachi misal is a must try whenever you visit lonavla , from misal to wada to kanda bhaji was amazing. The service was quite fast ..Happy hogging
IтАЩm not a fan of spicy ЁЯМ╢ food ЁЯеШ though, but IтАЩd say, I enjoyed my Misal. The guy suggested to have hot and fresh batata vada along. Man, I began to sweat, but then that is given right? It is either about the food or you? Answer this and go ahead.

Fire up.
Get ready for the spiciest Misal ever.

Along with your tongue, your entire body might also feel burning sensation.
We got 4 Misal (Parcel) for 4 of us. And none could finish entire Misal. Hoped to have 2 Pav extra, but the spicy Misal lead us to have just what is enough for the Misal.
Along with Misal, they also serve you Thecha (A blend of Green Chillies, coriander and lot many things). Basically it is a spicy grated green chilly chutney. After eating the 1st bite, we we're just imagining why did they give Thecha at all? Was it even required? But still the Chull in me got me to eat some good bites of Thecha. To my surprise, definitely not as spicy as the Misal.
Though it being a very spicy Misal, we had great fun having it. Definitely in the race of being the best MisalЁЯШЛ. Not a must tri'esh place. But more like, ye Shhadi ka Laddoo hai, Nahi khaya to bhi pachtaoge, and khaya to bhi pachtaoge. Buvachi Misal

Behind Fariyad Resort, Parshwapuram, Lonavala, Pune

As Sunday's have become mandatory Misal post's day I had to post this. I've recently visited Buvachi misal behind fariyad resort in Lonavala and the taste of misal literally blown my mind.

I've tried most of the misal from Pune which includes Newale, Ramnath , katakirr which as per me are the spiciest so far but this one was totally different. Misal really had a different taste level which really made me write about it.

Pretty decent restaurant which we mostly see on highways or in city area but because of popularity they've extended it behind.

Coming to the misal , it was tasty they've used tomatoes in it which made it juicy and potatoes to make the misal thick which did hold all the things together. The most important part was mirchi thecha , Yes they use mirchi thecha in their misal and in tarri which gave it a strong spicy kick at the end of every bite which remains on your tongue for a long time. The spicy kick of thecha is the main thing which impressed me because most of the misal have spicy masala which gave it an extremely spicy taste. The thecha really changed the entire taste of misal and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

This misal is really a thing which you can not miss if you're visiting Lonavala and I'll highly doubt that you won't like it.

Misal Pav - 50 /-

Kanda Bhaji - 40/-

Try the spicy cuisine here and Enjoy your vacation in this beautiful hill station. Most delightful time to visit is in the monsoon and winters.

One of the most iconic places in Lonavala is Buvachi Misal.┬а

The misal pav fully deserves its fame. It was amazing!!
