Review Sky Bar - Lucknow

Correctly named Sky Bar! This place is one of the most amazing restaurants in Lucknow , The ambience is 10 on 10, you get a mesmerizing view of the beautiful city from the 16th floor. The food was good. It's one place where you can enjoy your own company. Very kind and polite staff.

Really good view from 16th floor, best rooftop in Lucknow. Staff is polite and nice environment and food is to delicious. One suggestion please keep an eye on the gentry, you guys should maintain the class of place.

The atmosphere and ambience is soo good. There are 2 Miniature pools situated on the top floor of the Renaissance Hotel. The Food tastes amazing but the service is quite slow. Also, the food is slightly expensive in comparison to its quantity and the food choices provided.

Even though we didn't end up dining here, the whole Renaissance staff and service was awesome during our stay. It was our personal choice to step out in the city somewhere to explore some other places. No issues with the place. I have eaten here before and have had my cocktails several times. So I could vouch for the quality of food and service. Definitely the next time.

Elegant ambience, due to the height and transparent glasses surrounding the place makes one feel like being amidst clouds. Pool at the rooftop gives cool vibes while spending quiet n relaxed time ..alongwith well prepared cocktails n beverages. Ordered paneer tikka , regarding the preparation of cuisines they need to improve. Rest all a beautiful experience !

The place is very beautifully located atop one of the best hotels in Lucknow. The view from up top is splendid and at the night, the city lights make it look even better. An infinity pool is situated on th rooftop which gives it a soothing vibe and the pool is quite clean(as no visitors are allowed inside the pool) but sets a nice place for clicking photographs.

It's on 16th floor but worth visit for Dinner. It's meant for cocktail but you can enjoy even though you are non alcoholic as I am. ;) Drink on 16th and eat in Renaissance restaurant. Ground floor is lovely place to have coffee. So in short Drive eat and coffee all at different place to make the most of it. Yes , snap on 16th you will get the best view of Gomti Nagar,Lko.

Beautiful serene environment and my goodness what a view from the balcony side. The chefs are awesome, best was English Apple mocktail. Will update more in next visit.

Staffs are genuine. Location is amazing. 16th floor location both outdoor and indoor sitting available. The view from this place is so beautiful.

The place has a great roof top ambience with a fantastic view of Lucknow city, it's skyline and the Gomti River<br/>They have a pretty decent sitting area but since a couple of their fans were not working, the area got limited which was slightly disappointing as was their service.. expect more privacy when one is visiting a place like this with your partner<br/>they have a very limited menu at Sky Bar as far as food is concerned and they mostly serve starters<br/>the Basil fish was quite good.. The pasta was decent but have had much better pesto pastas before<br/>the beers were limited and few not available in the stock

This place has a class. I mean ya its a marriott, and has to live up to its reputation, but they have done it such calm and subtle way.  At first you are at rooftop, so thats crazy and then you a good blue light from the pool and top it of with some fine scotch... there you get the feel of being in a 5 star. i enjoy this place. brings out the gentleman in me. :D

Just now I visited this place with my husband. The ambience was good but when it comes to the service it was pathetic. We came back without ordering anything, because nobody was listening to the customers. Although we spent half an hour there. Wo kehte hain na" naam bade aur darshan chhote". Worst experience ever.

I have been here on Wednesday what I actually feel that it have very limited variety of liquor however it's best they have Zomato gold partnership. Had a Chilli prawn from Sky Bar, Renaissance. ❤️ Fresh, hot and too spicy, this dish is an absolute taste bomb for the ones who love to have prawns. 💯🍤❤️ Personally, I’m not a very big fan of the menu of this place since it has limited food (mainly snacks) and too steep on the pocket too but I’d visit this place again again only to have a little more and more of this yummy tummy treat.

This place is outstanding in terms of ambience, service and staff. The view is breathtaking.<br/><br/>But when it comes to food, whatever I tried there was below average.<br/><br/>The place is indeed amongst the expensive places in Lucknow but the taste is behind mediocre restaurants.<br/>I had Boti Kebab, Chicken Tikka both were a disaster to my tastebuds. I had one of the best experiences at Sky Bar, Renaissance hotel. The staff namely Krishn, Sameer and Raj were very professional and polite. One of my friend took me there as this was her favorite place. Inside seating arrangement is good. However, they need to tweak their decor for couples. Mostly, they have large tables to accommodate 6-8 people. View is amazing and the place is perfect for spending the evening. Outside seating arrangement is not that perfect but you can compromise for the view. DJ plays recorded playlist, mostly remix of edm tracks.<br/><br/>Food quality is good. They have limited options in beer. Options for whisky are also limited. One thing I can't understand that they allowed stags on Friday night. Half of the crowd I witnessed were group of men and boys.<br/><br/>After 10, it got a bit uneasy because of the crowd and I left the place. My overall experience was good. Would love to go there again.

Me and my friend visited this place last night the place is very cool ambience was awesome. The service is quite good we had Mocktail and some starter with was nice. The person who was serving us didn't remember his name but he very polite and served us in well manner.<br/>

I went with my husband and brother for an evening drink. The only good part about the Sky Bar was its view - the location and setup is what attracts people, however, we order some beer and a pitcher of sangria with some dry snacks. The sangria was not up to the mark and overly priced. Not happy with the experience. In this amount of money, we could have managed some better drinks and would have left satisfied.

Over hyped. Went there on a Saturday. There were only 2 guys attending tables. I hosted my friends from Bangalore there. Had to wait for 10 mins to get the table cleaned, post that the service was delayed. More importantly it was a DJ night, the DJ was being played for some hypothetical crowd which existed only in the heads of the hotel staff. The whole floor was empty and my God it was being played at such high decibels. On being asked upon to reduce the volume since no one was dancing or even enjoying the stupid cheap songs they simply bluntly refused to do so. Just becaise of such reckless attitude they have lost their brand image from the minds of the civilized people and the place is left to all the dirty politicians and bureaucrats to enjoy. Very disappointing.

Quite a view in the city of Lucknow, this sky bar comes with a pool. The place is pretty good in terms of Lucknow standard. The food is pretty average and the service is where the places lacks majorly. It’s slow and not at all convenient. We ordered two cocktails amante picante and Gin slung both were average and also the spring rolls we ordered were okay not the crispy rice paper roll kind I prefer but the normal Indianised version.<br/>Go for the view!

This is about the only weak-spot in the otherwise wonderful hotel Renaissance. The view is mind-blowing - the breeze amazing. <br/>However the cocktail we ordered Amante Pecante was really very average. The flavors hadn't mingled properly.<br/><br/>The music was too loud for our taste - but then some people seemed to enjoy it - so I am not complaining about it.<br/><br/>Our bill was wrongly computed - and we did the mistake of not checking it properly - the light was dim - the music almost knocking us off our feet. <br/><br/>However with all due credit to the staff - when we pointed it out next day while checking out - the reception staff and the bar staff agreed to reverse it. <br/>This was indeed a pleasant experience  - one that makes loyal customers out of simply customers.<br/><br/>I guess a bit more order is required to set things right at Sky Bar and make it a unique experience for travelers.

Been there twice. A place with very casual and cool ambiance. And especially city lovers can go and have the best overview of Gomtinagar from the open area or terrace what they have there. The price is reasonable. You got to pay that much when you go to a big brand property so that's not something to point out. Though, the service staff does not look highly trained as they should.

I visited sky bar at last night on my anniversary with my life partner.I had some mocktails and pasta which was amazing.lovely ambience and the person who was serving us his name is Mr. Rahul.we asked him that what should we have for non alcoholic. The service is pathetic as the staff is really rude. They said that below 24 can’t even sit there. Utter nonsense and the way it was put across was extremely unprofessional. They were not ready to call the manager and the bartender claimed to be the sole incharge. It was our first choice in Lucknow but was highly disappointing.

So people below 24 aren't allowed to even sit here. What bullshit. And the waiters don't have any manners and refuse to even call their manager.

We ordered 5 dishes/snacks and only two of them were okay (not exceptional) and two I did not like at all.<br/>- "Subz kawab" was one of the best item we ordered. They melted in our mouth and tasted nice.<br/>- "Pesto paneer" was kind of okay.<br/>- "Lemon Grass Chicken" was another item which was nice. This one is worth trying.<br/> - "Vegetable pasta in white sauce" was bit uncooked with chewy pasta base. Had to return it.<br/><br/> - "Sichuan crispy lamp" was not the authentic sichuan style instead it was super sweet. The 'sichuan' flavor which I have experienced is spicy which numbs your tongue. I must say that the people serving the food were quite courteous but the service was anything but prompt. Also I feel that the waiters have not got proper training on food and menu items. This is best hangout place for our group. Every time we go to sky bar to have some tid bits with some drinks for sure and experience is quite good till date.

The ambience is amazing.. So is their service. The food quality is good although not exceptionally so. However the problem part is the quantity of food on the plate for the exorbitabt amount charged. No complaints with the quality but the quantity disappoints.

Such high priced starters but the servings are so small, and honestly, not worth the bucks. The cocktails and mocktails are not that great too. Being a marriot branch, i expected more off this place . But alas! Ambience is great, a 10/10 but there is no point if the food is so bad. Hope it gets better. Looks can be deceiving😆

Just had the worst experience over here the staff was behaving bit weird as if they've never seen anyone a strong staring game was going on which made me bit uncomfortable and i've never come across such poor service they din't even served a glass of water however we ordered 2 plates of spring roll which later turned out to be the just a part of regret only the ambience is good and nothing else

Alcohol is fine but the food is below average. Order thai noodles which are supposed to be mild but very way too spicy. Ordered lamb burger and was told after 40 mins that the meat got burned. Alcohol is giod but food and efficiency below par.

Probably one of the highest rooftops in Lucknow. Great ambience and great view of the Riverside area. They also have a pool in the open air area. They have a small covered area too, also providing a good view. The menu is sort of limited. When we told this to the guy (who actually came asking why we had written so in their feedback form which they hand you with the bill! ) he replied saying that he could have made some different stuff in both the drinks and the food if we had asked! Wish he had told that while taking the order. In any case the preparation of the pasta was good and the drinks tasted fine too. We went for dinner. I think their buffet brunches must be better.

Recently sky bar has launched a new project. I went there last week and it was an awesome experience all together. They have some exiting programs for the weekends. The day i went there Its was a live performance by a musical band.sky bar is on the top floor of renaissance and you can witness an awesome view of the city from there. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a pool beside. Food is good and they have good range of mocktails and cocktails .

Nice place nice ambience good music and they really should have more fans as we were sitting outside and it was uncomfortable without fans so left quickly service was really good and the view from sky bar is mesmerising all and all a nice place

This awesome place is at the top of Renaissance by Marriott at Gomti nagar that oversees the huge park and waterfront. We ordered for martini and LIIT that was very good. The ambiance is awesome and picturesque. The only thing they need to pay heed to is service which is not at par with the standards.

Pathetic! is the word that can be used for the service of the place. I went on 27th Jan at 10:45pm. The veiw was nice nd cool. First impression no one was there to ask for even water we have call the waitor to take the order. After ordering at the place drinks came late nd we repeated the same thng thrice, surprisngly one or the other item was missing like 7 up or nachos etc. We orderd french fries just to accopany with drinks it was really that also came late . I askd the waitor does he wants something extra to give us good service. I filled the feedback form statng it was bad and I thought someone will contact me but no. Why do we go to places like these because we need unforgetable service nd a memorable one . It would have been nice that I would have gone to a normal Theka nd had been a nt regretd wasted my money. Had a pleasant dining experience at Sky Bar which was an impromptu plan with friends. Was impressed with the availability of leading international brands for hard drinks and wines. Had made a special request for food from their coffee shop which was also promptly delivered to the roof top restaurant. The open area isn't spaced out much. Along with the seating area it also accommodates a swimming pool. We only order Beer, red bull and iced tea. Service was average. Not enough options for beer. Snacks, generally nachos, is on the house though they'll charge you for it, eventually, by masquerading it as food charge. <br/>We were 6 people so it cost us around ₹3200. Fair, I'd say, given the reputation of the hotel. <br/>A nice place to chill and hangout if the weather's good!

A beautiful view and location which could have been exploited to the fullest is instead marred by poor service, poor maintenance and average food ... reached the bar at 5pm...wanted to sit by the pool but were told by the management that only in-house guests are allowed poolside and that we would be allowed after 6pm (don't understand y, but that's not the gripe) ... a poor range of alcohol on offer during the happy hours... they serve nachos and tomato salsa with drinks.. ordered a chicken satay and were disappointed by the average quality of the food...there were stains on all the tables (which could simply be avoided by the use of coasters) , marble table counters were chipped and repaired shabbily with plaster.... they had pastries on display on the bar counter but refused to serve them to us as we were not staying with them (?!!) .... <br/>It's supposed to be a 5 star property, but unfortunately feels like a 3 star one ... the only upside is the view from the 16th floor... pray that the booze helps u forget all the minuses !

They call themselves world class but they dint even telecast the champions league final which was telecasted in around 200 countries, and when I called them in the morning to ask whether they were telecasting they said yes and when I reached in the evening they said we don't telecast champions league only IPL, and they call them world class. When asked about the person who gave me the wrong info they said they can't help it. The manager, the staff all of them don't have a class here, just a show off of illiterate HM's 😃

After a long day of history and architecture viewing wanted to unwind for a pleasant drink with a view and yea this was the place located at gomti nagar, Hotel Renaissance which is linked to the holiday inn group was a roof top lounge overlooking the city and a pool.<br/>Their selection of alcohols were top notch. cocktails were ok.<br/>the appetizers were a restricted menu and the falafels and the hummus was pretty different but good from the usual middle eastern cuisines ..<br/><br/>The staffs were well and attending ....<br/><br/>Overall it was perfect for an evening with a relaxed environment .

It's a great place to sit and catch up with friends, which is precisely what I did when I was there. It gives a bird's eye view of the bustling city, but the International Convention Centre that is under construction can be a bit of an eyesore. But if you chose to ignore that, then it gives a knockout view. They serve only drinks and snacks, and when we were there, they in fact refused to serve us on the terrace, which put a slight downer on our outing. <br/>The drinks were well made. We ordered iced tea and virgin mojitos which had been mixed to perfection. So full points for that! But they should include serving warm drinks such as Cappuccinos for the non-drinker who doesn't prefer to chill with a mocktail on a cold winter evening! <br/>But all in all, a good experience. The ambience was serene and mesmerizing.. u can get a wonderful view of the buzzing city..it scores full points on interiors..coming to the menu..as it is a bar..only few snacks are available. They should expand their menu and may even keep hookah..it would be a perfect place to visit again with friends or special ones..overall i would rate it 3.5 on 5.

One of the best places to have drinks and spend some time in solitude.Not too crowded this place offers awesome views of the city. Snacks range are limited..which is the only minus.

Best view and pool in Lucknow , <br/>My small trip to this city was completed with the view from sky bar (16th floor) <br/><br/>Whenever I visit this city again I will sure visit this place and again and also recommend to friends and family

Happened to be staying at hotel Renaissance and accidentally discovered the SkyBar. Entered at about 11pm and a first look at this place a Saturday night totally changed our perception of Lucknow.<br/><br/>An dimly lit open air terrace with a pool on one side and a setup for a live band in the middle makes for a cool ambience. While the live band wasn't playing, the DJ was blaring at it's loudest. Guests at the bar had their best haute couture on show making it a glam evening. Entry was probably restricted for couple or hotel guests only. 16th floor provides a nice view of the city.<br/><br/>Didn't try much of the food (unfortunately had had dinner just before that) but we ordered a few beers just for the heck of it. Priced at 350 bucks each (with taxes), I think they were fairly priced for a place like this. <br/><br/>Left at around 1pm, but the DJ was still playing till like 2am which did not allow me to sleep despite being on the 11th floor. No complaints if I put on my party hat, but they probably need to be little more considerate about their resident guests. Improve the soundproofing maybe or turn the DJ down a little.

Just amazing and brilliant in locale and view. The only problem is it tends to get very cold here and no proper rain protection is a concern.<br/>The drinks are quite brilliant...very good variety of liquors and good cocktails.... Perfect for any special occasion

First i talk about the ambience. It is a adorable place with beautiful and mesmerising interior. Everything is just perfect. Nicely made. 5 on 5 to the interior. Now, the sky bar which is on 16th floor(L-16) is a terrace. They provide only beverages and snacks and if you want to have the main course you can go to 14th floor. So coming on food, paneer and chicken is what I ordered and that was truly amazing icing on the cake the view of marine drive and ambedkar with a pool beside the table. I am giving 4 rating and have to cut 1 point because of the service they provide. Only one waiter was there to serve all the people. I found it very irresponsible behaviour. Overall a good place with a far better view than any other place. Only thing they need to improve is their service.Akanksha Pandey

I went to Sky Bar, Renaissance Hotel (a part of the Marriot Group) which is on the top floor (sixteenth, to be precise) with very high expectations. The bar met some of them while a few things left a lot to be desired. I'll come to the good and the bad parts in the coming paragraphs.<br/><br/>There is no doubt that Sky Bar is definitely a must visit place for one single reason - its location and the view from the top. Since it is associated with one of the biggest and leading brands of the hotel industry, it automatically raises the bar (pun intended) for the others in the city. But there are a few points you should keep in mind before coming here. These things can either make or mar your experience at this lovely place.<br/><br/>First of all when you enter the hotel premises, you are greeted with a smile and a valet ready to park your car (you need to bring your car to the porch so that the valet can pick it up from there). You will need to undergo a customary security check before entering the beautiful building. Just hit the lift lobby and press the 16th floor button.<br/><br/>Sky Bar is divided into two sections - indoor seating and outdoor seating with two lovely pools. Now here comes the catch. You will not be entertained if you just directly go and sit in the open section since it is only a 'smoking zone'. Though I did not find that written anywhere. After sitting like a fool for some time and upon enquiring, you will be told that food and drinks can be ordered only while sitting in the closed section. You can later on carry your stuff and eatables to the outside and yes, no waiter will assist you with that. In short, you will be entertained only while you are inside.<br/><br/>We ordered a Beer and an Iced-Tea. The Iced-Tea was okay. Nothing fancy except the quirky jar (see attached picture). The food menu is very limited. They didn't have any hot beverages that day. We were given complimentary nachos though and they were good. The staff is not very attentive. They need more training. We had to remind them a couple of times that we needed some tissues. The tables on the outdoor area had dust on it. It being an open area, the management should understand that the tables require frequent cleaning. I spotted Bose speakers but they were as good as Intex ones as they were not playing any music.<br/><br/>The pool is simply beautiful while the view from above is fabulous to say the least. There is a lovely view of the magnificent Ambedkar Park on one side while the Gomti Barrage, Samta Mulak Chowk and buildings adorn the other side.<br/><br/>If only they could improve the service and take a more customer-centric approach, Sky Bar would truly be called a five-star place.

want to see gomti nagar, visit this place..drinks and foods also gud..expensive side but experience is priceless..service is gud and fast staff also gud..feel the luxury of 5 -star hotel

Good to see someone coming up with a 16th floor bar overlooking the entire gomtinagar area. Beautiful as it may be, the place is not upto the standards. Food is average, with very few options on the menu. The service, in particular is dismal, nowhere near the standards of marriott. We had to even ask for water to be served. <br/>If you want to witness a skyline view, you should visit this place just once(till they improve their service).

Its at the first marriot in town with fancy cocktails and a pool! I would highly recommend it for weekday and weekend quiet and peaceful drinking sessions. As winter dawns i am sure this place will pick up. Price is as per marriot standards.<br/>The good part is people cant dine there, they only serve finger foods. This town needs more places like these.
