The Kalika Hut restaurant in Gomti Nagar stands out as a top destination for those who appreciate mutton dishes. Their signature Handi mutton is an absolute must-try and arguably the finest in the city. For non-meat eaters, their Daal Makhni is equally delightful. What truly enhances the dining experience here is the fact that a majority of their Indian dishes are prepared using wood fire, undoubtedly intensifying the flavors. However, when it comes to services, there's room for improvement as they tend to be a bit slow. Additionally, maintaining hygiene in the dining area is an aspect that could use some attention and enhancement. Beware : They dont have four wheeler parking space so you will have to park your cars on road.

We ordered paneer manchurihan, mutton handi, mutton kababs, chicken biryani. Taste was fabulous. Both veg as well as non veg dishes were great. Ambience is very average, maintenance of interiors is required. There are 2 sections of restaurant, one is open for all and another is only for families. I have been here for more than 5 times in last five years, and very surprisingly this place has never disappointed me in terms of taste. Here, My favourite dish is Mutton Handi..

Loved the mutton and chicken handi. Definitely a must try. Also had Mutton handi with garlic naan which I found good. The ambience is pleasant and gives a welcoming vibe. The staff are polite and helpful.

Kalika Hut is famous for its Ajamgarhi recipes. Ambience is great, clean staff is friendly, Dinning table and seats are classy. After checking a while we have ordered Shami Kabab, Chowmein, Biryani, Roomali Roti's and in dessert/sweet we ordered Gulab Jamun. Kabab, Biryani & Gulab Jamun. Taste was good. Overall experience is great and satisfied with the food, staff and the ambience. Perfect place to hangout with family or friends. Enjoyed 🙂

Great place. The dish was awesome. Staaf was polite and friendly. We ordered a paneer manvhurian and lacha paratha . It was really good in taste . Whenever you go there just try out this dish you will love it. All the measures for covid was duly taken.

Mutton handi is good in taste.

This place was recommended by a friend from lucknow and they suggested us to have Handi mutton and we were glad that we listened. The mutton was just too good 😋🤤. Service was also great, we got our order in no time at all. They also had one of the best raita i have had.

Both cash and card accepted here 👍 . Sweet dishes with a complementary raita is there waiting for uh 😉

Is good....can do better(the choice of mutton pieces)...mutton handi with tandoori roti is the food to try....family sitting and separate places to sit(in the hut)available in view of covid as well...mutton lovers should definitely give it a try...

It is a very good place to have non-veg food. I have been to this place twice . They have a little hut structure in which we eat. The ambiance looks very good and peaceful. The staff that works here is also polite. It is located in Gomti nagar, Lucknow near Fun Mall. I have tried fee items here. Like Hyderabadi Chicken, Chicken Handi, Chicken Manchurian. Chicken Handi is amazing in taste. It's a unique taste that you will like starting from your first bite. Chicken Hyderabadi is also very tasty. But Chicken Manchurian is not so good, I'll not recommend it. Overall the experience was very good. I'll rate it 4/5 . If you have never been here, then you should give it a visit.

Extremely bad experience! Service was of poor quality and it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Plus another 15 minutes for the waiter to arrive. Food served was the typical purvanchali mutton curry, which though was above average but was overshadowed by the pathetic service and overpricing! A tawa roti will cost you Rs15+ tax. Can u beat that? Keeping the pathetic service in mind and overpricing i regret going there.

Food was good, but service was below average .One have to wait for about half an hour for food , about 10 min for waiter to arrive

Kalika Hut offers you variety of mughlai dish. The famous of all is mutton bhuna ghosht , butter chicken and Kasuri Methi chicken tikka. Must try. An advice for better taste enjoy the dish with their famous Tawa roti which is soft and thick at the same time. - THE HUNGRY INDIAN SOUL

My experience was good...i loved the place food service... They were really caring and nice people. For me i really loved it.

The accountant and waiter jointly run a racket to fool people on fake bill so pl make sure to check u bill before u pay.

Worst servicing I have facing yeasterday my order was delivered to me very late after 1 hours jisme se ki they took some food he couldn't remember that what was order I was give to him again again I poke him bhai biryani kaha h bhai roti that is the last time I had going there.. lekhraj wala badhiyaa h bt surrender Nagar wala bakwas I seriously hated it

I have orderer Chicken dum biryani it was nicely packed and the aroma was great and fresh it tasted amazing i just enjoyed to the end .last but not least i went for sweet dish gulaab jamun i literally want to kiss the hand of the chef my dinner was awesome today thanks to you all . :) If the cheff read this your are amazing man :)

Pathetic and overpriced. We ordered handi chicken it was very salty. Place was crowded with drunk and bad mouthed people swearing bad words on waiters so not a place for family.

Kalika Azamgarh is the original place of origin. Kalika hut gomti Nagar is no less in mutton preperations. The goat meat is so smoothly and flavoured that it just melts in mouth. The fire wood preparations gives it a distinct smoky flavours.the whole spice and condiments are used. Lehsun gravy mutton is best seller here. Other preparations are equally good. Opt to sit in ac restaurant rather in huts in summers. Also ask the waiter to get gravy with less oil.must try for mutton lovers.

Sadly have been to this place so many times, but coming to Lucknow after a long time, getting together with all my friends to eat the yummy Mutton Handi that once it used to be. Firstly, they delayed the mutton Handi and once they got the mutton handi the pieces were not well cooked.<br/>It was an utter disappointment.

Quite nice ambience, Biryani's are something that you can order without hesitation, value for money. But also can expand menu a little bit and can add some continental flavours into it.

This was our first experience in this hut...chicken Kadai was good in portion.. but taste was so pathetic. I was really surprised to see people waiting outside... and was clueless who all are they, so eager to have such insipid things.. or either something was wrong with us all in our table. Anyways ... it ruined our evening.

Family restaurant. Best for mutton lovers. Their handi mutton is just amazing. Veg and nonveg both are available. Food is hygienic and tasty and I budget.

A friend suggested this place for 'ghar-ka-khana' taste when i was visiting lucknow and it lived up to that.<br/>Ordered a veg biryani, which came as a home cooked pulao but tasted well, so no complaints!<br/>Will try next time for other dishes.

Gold's preparation was good. Ambience was decent. The only thing which could be improved to better the overall experience is service. Other than that had no real issues. Would recommend to a friend.

Their flagship product is mutton handi. It tasted amazing one time, so I brought guests next time. It tasted really bad the next time. When we asked why, they were really rude. We left without eating and still paid the bill due to this stupid attitude of theirs and then went to another restaurant. Horrible experience. This place will burn itself if does not understand how to talk to customers.

Roadside parking is easy.<br/><br/>We sat in the closed area divided into small cabins of varied seating capacity offering privacy from loud customers. The ambience is simple yet classy. Lighting is neither too bright nor too dim.<br/><br/>Service is prompt and efficient. The food did not take long to arrive and the breads too were brought in quickly later.<br/><br/>Now coming to the main attraction of this place i.e. the food. We ordered Kadhai Chicken, Mutton Rogan Josh and Paneer do Pyaza along with Tawa rotis.<br/>The Kadhai Chicken was absolutely fingerlicking delicious. The Mutton also was delightful and the Paneer was also good. This place is primarily known for the non veg food and it is clearly evident why.<br/><br/>A must visit place for all Non Veg lovers and I'll surely be visiting again. One of the best places in Lucknow if you want to eat Nonveg. Absolutely loved the Chicken Masala and Naan. Must visit with your freinds and family.

I orderd a full plate butter chicken through Zomato.<br/>The container in which the item was packed was a reused one. After complaining to them they said that this is a new one and didn't change the order. And after ordering a new one still they sent it in the another old container.<br/>This was not expected form The Kalika Hut.<br/>I will not recommend anyone to online order food from this restaurant.

I had been here with my friends and we have ordered kaleji do pyaza and it was simply awesome as we have ordered a full one, it was a joy to eat as the kaleji were very soft and the tastiest kaleji I have ever eaten in a restaurant, along with it we have also ordered mutton seekh kabab with paratha and mutton and chicken Biryani both, we have eaten both and all of it and I want to tell you that it was excellent from taste, preparation of food to the service of the restaurant all was good.

Best restaurant to have mutton in Lucknow. But cleanliness is the area where they need to work. Be it chair or washroom, everything was bit of untidy.

Pathetic food . I ordered paneer kadhai ..it was so oily and bland . Tandoori rotis were half baked ..wud nvr suggest anybody to order or dine in at this restaurant . Not value for money

I visited kalika on 26th sept 19 with my family. Dinner on my mum bdy. We had chicken handi, chicken biryani, paneer handi, bread basket, gulab jaamun. All the things were yummm. I will surely visit another day n many more days. It's one of my favorite place

I have tried probably everything on their menu :<br/><br/>Veg : Honey chilly potato, Mushroom chilly, Paneer 65, Chilly garlic noodles, Manchurian chilly, Chilly paneer.<br/><br/>Non veg : Chicken lollypop, lemon chicken, garlic chicken, chicken tikka, bhuna mutton, butter chicken( personal favourite!), chicken dum biryani.<br/><br/>And I loved each and every item I had. 😊<br/>This is my go-to place. I would 200% recommend it to everyone out there.

We were headed to Pepperz located in SRS mall but that was closed. The nearby Kalika Hut outside of mall showed high ratings and was chosen as the replacement. The staff was very polite but we did not like the food at all. We ordered just the veg options of veg handi, dal bukhara and dum aloo with jeera rice and breads. Nothing worth calling out save for dum aloo. Probably their non veg is a notch up.

I ate their Handi Mutton first time via Zomato and became fan of the dish, later after a month I ordered again but this time the mutton was delivered in a plastic bowl and the taste was so-so. I called the restaurant and complained about the same and the person on the other side said in a rude tone that bring the dish back and we'll put it in a handi...what the fun..dish can not taste better just putting it back in the handi, for developing the taste it should be cooked in the pot/handi. Bad service with bad food.

Amazing matka chicken it is the must try at this restaurant. The other items written on the first page of the menu are also good. The restaurant staff is ok polite enough to listen and bring things for you. The interiors too are a bit dark as lights are less.<br/><br/>The restaurant is like the other chains but needs improvement at least in the interiors.<br/><br/>It is well located in Gomti Nagar opposite to SRS mall.

I placed an order for Handi Mutton due to it's great taste and flavour because of clay pot, however I received a mutton dish in a plastic box.
