Review Cellar Restaurant - Lucknow

Cellar has been quite an amazing experience with the cuisines of the world. The aura indeed reminded of Italy with the semicircular arches and green climbers all over the place. Since there is a ‘no parking zone’ around the restaurant and the cars have to be parked in the underground parking across the street for INR 60 at least. It has definitely been fun, this restaurant is a great recommendation when you are looking for a multi cuisine place in the area of Mahanagar, city of Lucknow.

The Cellar is a wonderful place in Lucknow. We have been here since more than a decade for sure - and often on special occasions. Perhaps one of the first fine dining places in Lucknow where close to authentic Italian food was served and still maintains the charm. Food is amazing, whether it is risotto (it was not there this time though when we visited), lasagne, garlic bread with cheese, layers of cheese filled with chicken and vegetables, cream of chicken soup etc. - all great - thank you Chefs of The Cellar (it is part of RITZ group - an iconic food chain in Lucknow). Few recommendations The Cellar: "Times are changing" - and please DO NOT IGNORE very important needs such as having toilets or making your restaurant ACCESSIBLE to those who may not prefer or are comfortable with staircases. Toilet in the restaurant above (lots of stairs) makes it very difficult for those who are not comfortable with stairs due to range of reasons. Also, restaurant is in basement so stairs again - please please please. I hope our request will not fall on deaf ears - and groups like Ritz will LEAD FROM THE FRONT on making all their facilities ACCESSIBLE to everyone.

This place serves the best Italian food in Lucknow, which is even better than most of the restaurants in cities like Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai. One must visit this place at least once. We went there for dinner and the food was so tasty that we overate. We ordered American chicken wings, Supremo pizza, Lasagne chicken, Chicken sizzler, Strawberry mojito, Chocolate cookies shake and Very berry shake. Each item was amazing in taste and better than the previous dish we were ordering. Service was very good and the waiter served all the dishes on our plates on our request. All staff members were very humble. Ambience was also good and there was ample sitting space for a large gathering. Even after ordering so many items from the menu the bill was only ₹2700. Overall it was a good experience and it was worth visiting there. If you love italian food then I would recommend that you should definitely visit there.

The best authentic Italian cuisine you can get anywhere in Lucknow. The interior and aesthetic is just amazing. There's no loud music and it's pretty peaceful. The food is good too. The chicken ravioli is brilliant. The barbecue chicken pizza didn't really work out. The lasgna was cheesy, but the quantity was a bit underwhelming. The apple pie too was pretty small for the price, but the taste was amazing. Overall a good experience.

Very unique ambience and a good range of delicious Italian dishes. Loved the garlic bread and Quesadilla. But the chocolate rolls with ice cream at the end was out of the world. Definitely recommended for food lovers.

Situated in basement, the CELLAR is one of the very few places where you can get authentic Italian food. The ambience and decor of place is understated, not flashy but elegant and stylist, giving you a feeling of calm from all the hustle and bustle in city. The food is delicious 😋. If you happen to visit this place veg lasagna is a must have along with garlic bread. Also nachos is excellent. In dessert Apple pie 🥧 is recommended. Perfect for family dinner/date.

This is the place to visit f you want to have exotic international cuisines. The italian cuisine here is delicious. I just love cellar. Its quite, the food is great, the service is prompt and friendly and the price is reasonable as well. Everything I've ordered till now Lasagna, Ravioli, garlic bread to name a few have been amazing. Even the barbecue chicken wings were good too. The interiors are quite good as well.

Absolutely the best continental food in Lucknow , no debate on that . I have tried the new fancy places across the city but nothing beats the cellar . The ambience is laidback , you can have a conversation , and the service is prompt and polite. Car parking is not really as issue because the gole market basement parking is bang opposite. The food is actually finger licking good which is a rarity in restaurants these days . There is no alcohol and that actually is a good thing because it keeps the rowdy crowd at bay ! Try it !

Its a good place to be at for some peace time, its quiet, food is not the best yet they serve good enough Italian food. Well its worth a onee time visit at the least.

I love the ambience, the sound of my foot on the wooden floor is just a delight to hear. The service is dope too but what really takes the cake is the variety of cuisines they ofder and the authenticity of their taste. I was totally smitten by Chicken Sizzlers here, I'd definitely recommend it to everyone who is thinking of visiting here anytime soon.

Terrible treatment done today. I placed an order for home delivery. The person who took the order said that it would take an hour to deliver (even though I live in mahanagar) as the delivery boy had some prior deliveries to be made. I was okay with that. After an hour and ten minutes had passed since I ordered, I started calling to inquire but no one answered my calls even though I called for 15 minutes continuously. Frustrated, I called Ritz's number and I asked the person there inquire about the order at cellar. To my dismay, I was informed that the order would not be delivered as there was a lot of rush for dine-in and that there was a shortage of personnel below which is why the calls were going unanswered. There was no way I could talk to the person who took my order and he did not have the courtesy to inform me that he had very conveniently cancelled my order all by himself. Why was the order taken when the delivery could not be done? Why was I not informed that my order would not be delivered? Highly unprofessional behaviour and terrible service which was not expected from a brand like yours. I have always loved cellar and it used to be a really good option for me, near my residence. But after this incident, you've lost a loyal customer for good.

The taste was really bad, looked stale. Quality wise I am disappointed I thought it was a good place but alas it's been bad.

Cellar has always been the perfect place for a date. Starting from the ambience to quality of food and menu selection. Everything is just amazing. Tried apple pie and Veg Extravaganza Pizza loaded with freshly baked nachos. Both were lip smacking!

Went there few days ago for lunch. Restaurant located near gole market. It placed in the basement area. Small cozy, brick style wall, pleasent ambience. Now comin to food.. we ordered chicken barbacoa, chicken tropical , and chicken Florentine. Chicken tropical is a type of sizzler, the gravy was a bit on the sweet side. Personally I love spicy food rather than that it was tasty. Chicken barbacoa was star of d day. Too tasty. Florentine was also good. All total it was a good experience..

The classic veggie pizza was thin crust... perfectly cooked.... with loaded toppings and the sauce was well balanced. The mushroom crostini had big chunks of mushrooms the way I like it. Mozzarella and mushroom combination is all time favorite. Fast service and polite staff. Ambience was really cozy. Had a great evening and a memorable experience.

Have been there twice in the last two months. A very good place for Italian and a few other continental dishes. The place is neat and has nice staff. The slightly higher price point keeps the place less crowded, but the place is still busy during peak hours. Will definitely go again.

It's a very family friendly place and the food available here is very tasty. Best place to go for Italian food. The servicing is also very good as compared to other places . The only thing I'd like to suggest is they should have some light music too as sometimes it feels very quiet .

The chicken filling was niced herbed with a generous drizzle of olive oil and a thick yet delicious layer of cheese. You must pay a visit to this cutay if you haven’t already. Mango Blast from Cellar, Mahanagar. ❤️<br/>Mango milkshake is most popular milkshake recipe in India . It is a thick mango milkshake with vanilla ice cream on to of it. With such a delicious colour, taste and artificial flavours that they did not add, this blast managed to blow my mind😱! Enjoyed the shake so much!! 🤤 Highly recommend it to everyone . ❤️ Also had Death by Chocolate! Really delicious and soul fulfilling dessert that everyone should have 💯 the chunks of hazelnut added on top of it is what makes this dessert a lot more delicious. 🤤

Yesterday we ordered veg supreme pizza n basil pesto pasta for dinner.<br/>The quality has been decreased tremendously.<br/>The restaurant is at a distance of 10 minutes from my place yet when I received the food, the pizza base was completely soggy so as nachos.<br/>Basal pesto pasta was very average nothing great n what surprised me was carrots n green bell pepper in pasta.....!!<br/>

This place has its existence before the time of cafe’s in Lucknow and I thought to pay a visit to this place after i heard so much good about it. One of my favorite places in the city for Italian food. This is one of the oldest places as well and I love the ambience and the food. Recently had the thin crust pizza, pasta with tomato & basil sauce, basil and mint cooler, cheese balls, chicken wings & cold coffee. The pizza was a perfect thin crust with proper toppings and cheese, and the pasta was yummy too. The drinks are also good options. Overall a great experience and value for money.

Being an Italian cuisine lover I had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally after visiting it i can say this by far the best place to have authentic Italian in town. This place has become my regulars in Lucknow. Their Mushroom Stroganoff is my favourite. Apart from that they serve good pasta with ravioli being the best. Will try their pizza too. Only downside being their beveragenu which is quite short and a bit expensive. Hope they work on it.

I have been visiting Cellar since 2005. I felt quite nostalgic revisiting the place. The decorations, interior and ambience is still the same. The dishes served and the presentation here have always been amazing and top notch.<br/>We ordered Stuffed Chicken Sizzler with Mushroom sauce. French fries, veggies and Garlic bread on the side.<br/>The veggies were juicy, crunchy sauteed in butter. The fries were soft to eat. The portion of chicken steak was ample and filling. The stuffing inside the steak was done with minced chicken, caramelized onions and well balanced spices. The overall taste of chicken steak with the sauce compliments each other.<br/>Lastly, we had apple pie with vanilla ice cream. The pie was too soft with crumbly texture. One of the oldest place in town and my favorite too has launched up their new italian menu and the taste was perfect as it was before. It's a cute little place situated in Mahangar and you will fall in love with their ambience and also the private seating area. The staff was very kind and helpful. Visited the oldest Italian restaurant in town after a very long time and it was nostalgic. Nothing expect the food variety has changed, and I love this thing. The ambiance is to die for! I loved how they've brought in new additions to their menu. I was thrilled to have so many new Italian dishes.<br/><br/>Also, the food tastes amazing, the presentation is top notch and the staff is really cooperative. I had a great time with my friends. It is a perfect place to have a good time with family and friends! The beverages, I must say, are the yummiest, specially the 'very berry'.<br/><br/>The pastas are really good, that you won't get anywhere in town. Used to love this place like anything, but since they’ve “updated” their menu, they’ve lost the charm. Though you can always depend on them to serve you a great A la Romo or a Basil Pesto. The lasagna here is okay too. We always order the pesto sauce and penne pasta and we never get to complain.<br/>Though I would love for them to bring back the fajitas, it was a dream!

Awesome food. We ordered sizzlers 3 veg (paneer shashlik, peri peri) and 1 chicken sizzler ( all were very good) 1 veg lasagne which was fabulous too. For drinks we ordered iced tea and mojito and they were perfect. All in all a great place for Italian food lovers. Must try for others!

Probably one of the most underrated restaurant in Lucknow. Its in basement and has less network connectivity and that is one of the best thing about this place, the staff is polite and respectful while the food is divine with some out of the box menu items. Do check 'em out

I have tried the lasagne, pizza and Alfredo pasta which are amazing! One should definitely go for Italian food. The cold coffee isnt good though.

Cozy little place, ideal for couples and a small group of friends but it'll be problematic for large gatherings. Ambience is satisfying and it'll calm your nerves especially the appeasing darkness with the combination of dim lights are very easy on eyes also the music is soothing and not very loud. Now talking about food, overrated and overpriced menu, the quantity is sufficient but it's not the authentic Italian as claimed, the food tastes bland but it's good for those who don't like much spices but the place is worth visiting once or twice a month. The pizza though is much better than what is offered at pizza hut or dominos, totally worth the price.

Had heard a lot about this restaurant so I tried Veg lasagna which was served with garlic bread.. to be honest the lasagna was good but i think they forgot to add salt to it so it was kind of tasteless but the garlic bread was superb it had proper garlic n butter... actually lasagna was made and baked properly I could see the ingredients were well used just may b my bad day due to which it was so that's why gave 4/5.. would try again some day

The Cellar is no doubt one of the best exotic cuisine restaurants in Lucknow.<br/><br/>Ordered prawn khao suey, prawn American pasta and Pako fried Wasabi fish. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. Service was friendly. They responded to each and every request of mine, changed the Wasabi sauce twice because I wanted the strong pungent experience of Wasabi, fuming my head. They usually add Wasabi in very small quantities, if you like Wasabi just as it is served with sushi ask them before hand not to mix it with mayonnaise.<br/><br/>The ambience is also very cozy, vintage themed with brick walls, and classy solid wood furniture style, perfect for a date. Although the tube lights can be fitted better so that the wires don't degrade the look if seen from the side. The flowers also look as if they have been placed just for the sake it.<br/><br/>I hope they add more exotic items in their menu.<br/><br/>Food: 9.5/10<br/>(Prawns can be made a little more crispier)<br/>Ambience: 9/10<br/>(Fix the light wires, it doesn't look good with duct tapes all over, fix the flowers too)<br/>Service: 10/10
