Loving it since college days. Location is a little towards inner side but nothing too hard to find if you know Ganj well. Earlier they had staff with better communication skills, in both language Hindi and English now it seems the staff is simply does not better. Please work on that side. Taste wise it has still maintained its earlier repute.
Date: 5th November, 2017 [Sunday]
Time: 2100
Ambience: A small, cozy café situated behind Tej Kumar Plaza.
Service: Only 1 waiter who was quite amicable and the service was quick.
Food:
1) Chicken Delight Tortilla:
Excellent.
The dish reflected it's Mexican roots with the ingredients and how the whole dish came together. The best thing about it was the sauce!
You should definitely give it a try!
2) Lasagne Rolls:
The dish is served in a plate with 4 eatables, Lasagne Rolls, Fried Mushrooms, Garlic Bread and Cabbage and Tomato Salad.
The chef did wonders with his lasagne rolls which had a stuffing of Basil Tomato Sauce, which despite being a little too oily were juicy and too tasty!
All in all, when you have the 4 eatables together [Special mention to the Fried Mushrooms], the whole dish comes out very well!
3) Falafel with Hummus, Salad and Pita Bread:
The only problem with the dish was the quantity of hummus they served.
Elsewise, it was just like the Hummus and Falafel any other restaurant would serve.
Verdict:
I would love to come to this place again!
A cafe by one of the most celebrated chefs of India, Pankaj Bhadoriya, the name and the surrounding are catchy enough. We had some time to kill so went there. Ordered cold coffee with icecream and lasagna rolls. Cold coffee turned out to be awesome. And I don't call anything edible as bad but lasagna roll disappointed us. 3.5 stars for cold coffee and the interiors.
This has to be the best café in Lucknow, hands down. People might push you for cappuccino blast but the sheer quality of food, beverages and service at this place in unmatched. The only worthy competition in my opinion is a relatively new entrant called Peddler's on Malviya Marg. The reason for low ratings is that this café offers a more globalised experience that is not tailored to the local populace. We were a bunch of traveling consultants staying in Lucknow for a while and we all agreed that this was café numero uno.
The place is run by Pankaja Bhadouria, winner of the first Masterchef India. It has an attached culinary school and the servers give you a mini guided tour upon request.
There is even a coir swing to sit on if you are so inclined. The standard beverages: masala tea, classic cappuccino and green tea were fantastic. The menu is completely continental with tried and tested dishes like salads, pastas (arabiatta, mac and cheese), sandwiches and pancakes. The protons are good although the pricing is slightly on the higher side. Having said that, a place like this in Delhi would cost at least 20% more.
The biggest problem I have had in Lucknow (and Agra, basically UP) cafes is the unnecessarily loaded drinks and quick bites: weird shakes needlessly loaded with oreos and hershey's, burgers where you literally have to wipe off cream from your pattie with a tissue, etc.
Not so st this place, they know how to get the balance just right. The options in dessert are great too.
Ambience: Yellow, a bit bright lighting in evenings. The afternoons can be slightly crowded for the brunch menu is just great. The decor is fine but nothing stark, easy on the senses. 4/5
Service: The staff is courteous and the wait after ordering is slightly long but they deliver exceptional meals. 5/5
Food: the best continental experience in Lucknow. Presentation is good too. Menu has enough to keep you intrigued even by your 10th visit. 4/5
Beverages: 5/5
Portions and pricing: 4.5/5
Sprinkled with the youth quotient , this place attracts the young kids and the college goers of the city.

Tramp Tree is situated near the entrance of Hazratganj inside the famous Pankaj Bhadauria Culinary Academy. The place sure does live upto the legacy and pride of the place! :)
With varied menu from Mac'n'Cheese to Hummus, the young generation who wants everything all at once is surely spoiled for choice. Menu was presented in an old iPad which made me nostalgic with a subtle realisation of the technology riddled world we live in.
Ambience was good and felt very premium. Walls were decorated with abstract stuff which are great points of conversation among friends. And a 40 inch LED TV which played recent bollywood songs also played it's part in creating the mood.
The service was prompt and had enough delay to make the customer really appreciate the food when served. ;) They even let you get extra dressing on salad if you run out of it! So hassle free and smooth service also made experience at Tramp Tree worthwhile.
Food was amazing! Order : Mac n Cheese, Farm Fresh Pizza, Salad and lots of shakes!
MnC was authentic. There were strings of cheese flying around so that validation was enough. But the cheese was not burnt to the point where it tastes intense and sour, which is a good thing and not many people know that.
Pizza was good too and didn't manage to disappoint. It was cheesy and had nice toppings in big chunks.
Although it had a piece of hair in it which was disappointing. But the manager was quick to apologise about it and did the needful.
Salad was good and had freshly cut vegetables. It had Mayo and 1000 Island Dressing crowned upon bell peppers, cabbage , lettuce, olives and tomato. I didn't know we could get second helping on salad dressing!! An important thing about salad is to serve them cold and not at room temperature, which they DID and the vegetables had the crunch which was so good.
Shake were AWESOME!!! Order : Sunny Sunday( Mango and Pineapple) , Wild Berry Wednesday (Blueberry and Blackcurrant) and TTC Special Oreo Shake. All the shakes were served chilled and used less cream based milk to avoid the froth on top. Every shake had an ice cream topping which was plenty. Although the Oreo Shake could use more Oreos into it.( 1 is not enough)!!
Overall it was a great experience and would definitely go there again. Food , Taste , Service and Ambience were great. I would give it 4.5 but there is always room for experience...
This is a typical cafe kind of place...Not in Lucknow style of cuisine...Great ambience! For a place that offers breakfast 11:00 am is a little late to start ...We arrived early and were given a warm welcome. Food is nicely presented..Price value equation is a bit skewed...Had waffles with whipped cream and fruits...Portion of fruits was too small and was canned and not fresh..
Yes this place deserves 5* rating :)
The cafe serves good coffees, savories & patisseries.
The service staff will always serve you with smile on their face.
Ambience is also good. :)
Great Place. First of all the cafe ambience and interiors make you feel like you are at home, secondly the cafe manager also treat you like a guest at home, keep suggesting the best Items and as per your taste bud. the food was awesome specially the cappuccino and the salad of the day.
Great place ! The food is awesome, the staff is very nice and there is a very cosy ambiance. Prices are not too high which is a big plus for such nice food.
I visited this place. It is very good to have here. We enjoyed a lot with ourself. The staff was so co-operative and they are at growing stage so as they serve the food the effort of making and experience we saw there . The quality of food was so nice and it was properly served. We enjoy a lot
N finally I got a chance to visit here ...its a beautful cafe,..interior is very comfortable..place is cute, quite and small..but staff n food both r very good...The Place is extremely peaceful. although to take some clicks b4 leaving.but its true that, this place good to hang out with your frndzzzz...also being a culinary academy inside.and I m massive Fan of lasagna rolls and Alfredo, teekha kadhai paneer pizza...every thing is warm, bright n cosy...this is perfact for a small get togather and date. And food price is very descent, the Menu was given to us in TAB the presentation of the Food like#wow#overall best place of Lucknow., looking forward to visit here again.

Ambiance superb
When I heard of it I was both appalled and mystified. A tramp is not a name one would want to associate with an upmarket cafe. Tucked inside Hazratganj, the heartbeat of Lucknow, the cafe is both quaint and upbeat which charms you the moment you step inside. The exhaustive menu is equally scintillating with yummy shakes and coffees, pastas, pizzas to thai, Indian and continental dishes vying for a. The chocolate shake was at par with those I have had in Delhi and the sandwiches were definitely zesty. On an adventurous streak I had egg bombs with Mexican curry while fearing the worst but the experience was quite satisfactory.
However the croissant was hard and not fluffy.
Chefs starting their own chains is not a new concept especially in the west but it has hardly picked up in India. Chef Sanjeev Kapoor has his Yellow Chilli brand but the fare is focused on Indian fare at a time when the palates of Indians are exploring global cuisines. Which is why the likes of Tramp Tree are a welcome change especially because they are based in state capitals. Oh by the way they have an awesome music playlist. I never thought that the day would come when I would add musical experience to taste as a parameter but you can actually sit and listen to soul and reggae in place of the usual bland dhan chik disco beats that play endlessly in other places.
That said they definitely to expand their range of products. There are hardly any pastries and puddings to choose from and it leaves you feeling unsatisfied.
Awesome place. Food is really good, staff is courteous, and the ambiance is great. Small n cozy place, perfect for hangout with friends. They have new items on their menu. A must visit place. Will be back soon.
Best coffee in lucknow period. Although the space is limited and the building itself is not accessible (steep stairs). Drinks service is quick enough but if you order some food to go along with it be prepared to wait a while.
Awsm place to hangout with a warm nd soothing ambience service is very good nd food is just awsm luved the cafe nd their hospitality has gud academy for culinary studies jus luved it....
An another star in the city. A place run by our star of the city "Masterchef Pankaj Bhadouria". The place is extremely peaceful with a perfect blend of superb collection of soothing songs. The ambience is simple but yet attractive.
We had an oreo shake and veg pizza pie. The pie was extremely delicious but oreo shake was more like just an ordinary chocolate shake.
The hospitality of the staff is beyond expectation (extremely helpful and always smiling). On being asked I told them about the shake and with a smile they said if you don't mind we can order a fresh one but as I lacked in time so I refused.

Visited dis place wid my frnz...d place is small bt gives u a pleasant home lyk feeling wid cute book racks n frames on d wall...and yes d most attractive part (which i lykd prsnlly) was d swing chair at 1 corner...which unfrtnatly wsnt free wen i visited d place...although managed to tk sm clicks b4 leaving😉...d food ws gud..a little ovr priced...bt a gud place to hang out wid ur frnz and also wid ur partner cz d place is quiet n soothing .
The Tramp Tree Cafe is one of those quaint little cafes that one can go to alone, grab a quiet corner, order a delicious cappuncino, and get lost in their book! It is also one of those places where one can go for a breakfast date, with your partner or your parent. In short, it offers the best of both worlds, and this is something of a rarity in Lucknow!
I've been there twice now, and haven't been disappointed yet. At my last visit, I ordered buttermilk waffles with maple syrup and whipped cream, to go with a simple latte. My friend ordered pasta arabita with blueberry and cherry frappe. And needless to say everything was simply delectable! Except for the latte which could use a little improvement.
I simply love the entire ambience of the place. With its yellow walls to the indoor swing by the window. The wholw vibe is very bright and cheerful. I would definitely recommend this cafe to everyone! Keep up the good work guys! But introduce some gourmet coffees as well!
N finally I got a chance to visit it.. Its been on my wishlist for so long.. Its a small cafe with 5-6 tables n a beautiful yellow decor.. I ordered waffles with whipped cream n maple syrup n I believe this place has the best waffles in Lucknow.. So soft n spongy.. After that I had spaghetti with meat balls.. N it was great as well.. For drinks I had green apple mojito.. The food was amazing .. The service is very good.. Looking forward to visit it again ..
I had a very nice iced coffee and masala fries. The place was kind of hard to find in Hazratganj, but it's a nice place with a culinary school attached.
Explosion of taste in your mouth..!!
I mean wow..the place is small but the potential is huge.
Their signature dish i would say is the pasta rolls as they are just freakin awesome..!!
The staff was very friendly and happy to serve.
Also being a culinary and cooking institute it might appear smaller but its really not as the cafe is small but the rest of the institute is quiet spacious.
The fool was well prepared and served..and the taste..muuuaahhh..as good as it can get!!!
But but..
The cold coffee was not cold😭😭
Though was tasty.
So i would say it is a cute little place having alot in store.
Definitely a must visit.

Small , peaceful , value for money . you may never realize that there is a cafe in a bustling plaza . The food quality is good , i loved the pancake and coffee toffee shake . the service seemed really slow and a handful.of items on the menu were not available
nice place to be...!!!...if you are looking for a not-so-costly,peaceful place...to chit-chat with your friends...this can be a good option..and never miss the super-delicious-brownie.....yummmiieeeeeeeee ! although the farmhouse pizza was not so good but the good service compensated for that..........and not to forget the mouth-watering "mint mojito"...excellent!!!
The place is cool! Visited first time. Grilled paneer pepper sandwich and Chicken Satay with dipping sauce & hit garlic noodles with fresh lime soda 👍🏻 taste good and good service. Next time I am sure trying more new dishes 😊
Cute place❤️
Ordered mint mojito, pasta rolls, cheese balls and mushroom garlic bread. Except for pasta rolls which were very oily, everything was amazing. I loved the place.
Great place to hang out with Good Quality food.Chicken satay with noodles a must eat at the place.Situated at Hazratganj near janpath market it's a bit hidden from view but has quality offerings
Massive fan of the lasagna rolls and Alfredo pasta. Such well cooked Mushroom raviolli is literally the one time I've managed to find decent raviolli in Lucknow. LOVE the muffins and the pastas alike. The ambience is warm, bright and cosy. Perfect for a small get together or date.
It was a nice experience experience visiting first tym chef Pankaj Bhadouria cafe tramp tree. Ambience was cool say peace loving
One could relax ,not expensive yet.
Salad which I tasted was yumm
Overall I enthralled with d place..

The service was really very nice. And the food I.e.paneer lababdar was Ausm. Restraunt seems to b really pleasant had a great experience wd Pankaj Bhadouria.
An all-around great cafe that's small and tucked away, so it has a nice and private vibe. Though it has the relaxed vibe of a coffee shop, they have a surprisingly varied food menu, from Thai to Indo-Chinese and all of the classic north Indian offerings as well. All of the dishes I've had have been delicious. The service is great too - Saurabh and the other servers are invariably accommodating, warm, and friendly. Really, an all-around great place to hang out. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Lucknow!
Great place to come and chill. Good food and relaxing atmosphere. They also have Wi-Fi if you need to use the internet. Only drawback is that it's small and kind of hard to find.
A small cafe with a fairly good ambience ,taste and service.... we ordered oreo shake nd a blackcurrant drink..both were superb...specially the oreo shake .. its a quiet place .not too many people visit the place probably..the hospitality was superb..
Loved The Place..Love the Ambience.Loved the Hospitality.
Mr.Saurav Singh..
The Cafe assistant Provided damn awesome hospitality and service.
the food and service ..fabulous is the word for it..
Tramp tree hazrat ganj is a good place for couples to hang out for coffee..I have been coming here for almost 3 years now. They serve good chicken sandwiches and the best thing I ever liked is "speghatti with meat ball". The ambience is good.. Full of bright yellow colour and with.. The prices of dishes are affordable..around 500₹ for two people
A super-suave eatery which serves amazing Lasagne rolls and spaghetti with meat balls. The ambience at their Hazrat Ganj place (just beside Moti Mahal) is fairly comfortable and the decor is lovely for clicking a few photographs. They have another outlet at Fun Mall. Only that the price is on the higher side which makes it fairly difficult to afford for students.
I really really loved this place no it didn't have any super expensive lighting and decor, it is just a normal go to cafe for dates and casual outings, it has a single LED TV and a subtle interior decoration. It is just like a normal cafe in Khan Market. It is also a culinary academy for learners, the awesome food really keeps this place together.
The menu was given to us in a tab and we had to swipe the pages to order which was kinda cool, then the staff was really friendly, the presentation of the food was on point. The timing however they were a little late in serving.
I have honestly not had a better Oreo Shake than I had today, I've had similar in NCR but not better. The fruity Friday had taste of Strawberry and Kiwi which was good in taste too.
Cheese balls, Oh what to say it was so yummy, so soft and so perfectly cooked it melted in the mouth.
Mac and cheese pasta, little undercooked could have been better but very good in taste.
Salad okay umm, I generally don't order salads but my friend did so and we enjoyed it was similar to the salad of Subway.
Last we had waffles with buttermilk and mixed fruit, the waffle was perfectly cooked not as good as what we have in Dessert oriented restaurants but it was good in taste.
For me this is definitely a great place to go for Italian food. It was not heavy on the pocket as well even after ordering so much food the bill was for Rs. 1000 which according to me is quite okay if we compare it to other Italian restaurants we have in Lucknow.
Alot heard abt ds place ... jst bcoz of master chef fame Pankaj Bhadauriya... place is quite small.. bt cute to spend time wd loved ones.. food is v good.. coffee waffle n everything... bt not dt good v visit ds place again n again..
Lot room fr improvement 😊
A place in Hazaratganj where u can go and have nice coffee.
Its a Calm place with Awesome ambience.
The Song playlist of the place is Very nice.
Cold Coffee was Awesome.
Another great visit was completed yesterday when i and my family visited the place as it gave such a pleasure and leisure time to me and my family.........everytime i come here the Food gives a chance to bring my mental peace to its right place....Kudos Guys!!!!!!
I visited the place few days before, food was just awsum and sorrounding was perfect for the meeting, calm and a decent place. I just enjoyed being there,
looking ahead to visit as soon as possible.
Decent experience. The Italian was good. The experiment with pizza pie flopped big time. I expected more from the place as it is owned by a famed chef.
Visited today for the first time , had penne arabiata. , was good but I was expecting much more as its owned by Pankaj bhadauria . secondly I ordered a kahwa , the first time in my life I was told kahwa is served with milk. :/ big NO. For this , I requested and got a kahwa the way it has to be consumed and got it , would rate it 3.5 because I just had one thing. The cafe is small and cozy I like the place good environment, should be more clean. Looking forward to visit again soon and try other things .

This review covers multiple instances wherein I ate here.
The ambience is nice. With good music, a rack of coffee table books, the place feels homely.
However, the food is hit or miss ! It is sometimes too good and at times it is just meh! The issue, I guess, is with all the different cooks. The safest order shall be pastas, sandwiches and slushes they have.
Pasta was very good. But pizza was not. Apart from that ambience was nice and different. You can sit and chat. Difficult to find the venue as it was in the thin lanes of hazratganj.
What a place to sit nd enjoy. Have coldcoffie with ice cream n have pasta. Just enjoy sitting thr n chatting. Pankaj bhadauria will be spotted thr. Chinese not upto the mark. Other than dat everything is perfect..
Just the place you want at times. Located in main hazratganj( just take a left from central bank and you're there). It's a small cafe with peaceful ambience, perfect for chit chats. Food is great and I really liked their unique way of serving on a wooden platter. Not very pricey also. Recommended :)
Super wonderful Sunday @ Tramp Tree Cafe. How come I discovered this place so late, the ambiance and decor are very different and appealing and slow music adds to the beauty, comfort and overall satisfaction. If you are a foodie come and savor exotic dishes..which are very different from regular menu items. It was sunday noon we ordered grilled paneer pepper sandwich, veggie exotica, chicken satay with dipping sauce and hot garlic noodles....the food served was bang on time and was very tasty....n come on how can I forget the WAFFLES..probably the best till date....n a must try on my list...good and hospitable staff.Definately the place lives up to the Masterchef Tag....I will highly recommend this place to people...come n savour different flavors at its best!!!!!!!!,Only one suggestion increase the floor space a bit more....
I have visited this cafe for more than three times and my experience has been awesome. Tried mumbai masala sandwich with waffels and cold coffee and it tasted superb.I would never get tiered of visiting this cafe. In addition to this, I lack words in expressing myself when it comes to the comfort and service that they provide. I would suggest everyone to visit here " atleast once"...!! (@.@)
I visited the cafe for the first time for a cup of coffee along with my friends, the place is good enough to hang out with friends n family too.It is a good cosy place right in the heart of the city . I had ordered prawn satay, chicken satay, veggie feast pizza, and paneer lababdar, the food served was piping hot n delicious just loved it......we really enjoyed a lot and had a very good time. Overall it was a wonderful experience and will highly recommend everyone to visit the place once. The service and hospitality was very good with wide variety of menu to choose from.....
Thanks Tramp Tree Cafe Team for providing such a memorable dining experience...for sure we are coming back again!!!!!!!
Great food and an amazing place to sit and chill. Serve everything on wooden plates which have a unique feel to them. Also the staff is extremely helpful and courteous.
We have visited cafe for some good food and a get together.
the place was good enough to hang out with friends n family too. I went there for the first time. It was a peaceful place. I have ordered pizza, ravioli, falafal, paneer lababdar, penne in arrabiata sauce n it was mind blowing just loved it......me n my friends really enjoyed a lot. Overall it was a wonderful experience. N will surely visit again n again.........
Service was good and satisfactory, food served on time.
they have a good range of items in their menu in The I-Pad and food was served same as shown in the pictures.
Great food and with no complaints
Thank you for such a pleasant experience.
I loved the place, specially the stuff there is awesome, unique decoration, bright colors of cafe , the hot served food, sweet cozy lovable corner made for friends and loved ones, wanna sit on that cute swing.........
The Popular Masterchef Pankaj Cafe- Tramp tree, Very beautifully designed with a corner table of Swing- that is my fav corner to sit n relax, but u always find it occupied. so try ur luck in that.
Food is gud with sm gud options of Italian, Lebanese, American, Mexican, African but they didn"t forget to keep Indian also.
This time I had Paneer Lababdar with Puffed Paratha & Phirni. that was super delicious, taste me no compromise.
Previously I"ve tried their Pastas, Nachos, sm gud Shakes and coffee.
I will suggest you to visit the cafe once n u cannot resist urself for another visit.
Ambience was extremely beautiful, comfortable, cozy place. If u are looking for a calm & soothing place in town. Then it is the best place to visit. The coolest menu I've ever come across. In general I had a great time with my friends. The food which I ordered was mind blowing. Drinks & coffee are much better than other. I had pasta rolls with mushroom garlic bread & salad perfectly cooked. Awesome taste & superb presentation.Coffee - 4/5Pasta - 5/5Drinks - 4/5Hospitality - 4/5Color & Texture - 5/5In totality I & my friends had a great experience. Wonderful place to visit.
Sweet cozy ambience, can be a bit weird if dere are more den 3-4 groups. One time visit with a 1-2 friends. I had q nice time in general. The food was OK. Some dishes were really great though. The food is not customized to an Indian taste bud for sure but dat s what makes it authentic. Being non lucknowite it was a bit difficult locating the place.
Visited TRAMP TREE CAFE today, Ordered prawn satay with cappuccino which was very tasty and for a change. unlike other places. the order was served on time, the hospitality by the staff was excellent, would highly recommend everyone to visit this place for a cup of cappuccino along with a wide variety of many items to choose from.

Had an awesome experience with my friend. The place is Warm and cozy, feels like a home. the cafe manager is extremely humble. suggest food as per your taste and the food is excellent.
It is good though one should go to get a taste with the wonderful women who wins the first MasterChef of India trofee.
This is a next gen. Cafe for Lucknow. We normally see these type of café In metropolitan cities. Here Food leads and served in portion's. Master Chef Pankaj thanks for introducing Lucknow with the new way of eating.
The pizza and the ice tea are just fab... The workers here are very much well behaved.. Although the place is small yet it attracts the classy lots for its ambience and food
We use the cafe as our personal cafe ( almost).
Very warm and clean environment .
No one can beat us for the number of coffee and soups we have consumed at this cafe as a family .
Despite my initial reservations of the place being cramped up, the cafe threw up some warm tidings on my maiden visit. The air was fresh and homely, the artificial grass below, different! The coffee was warm and okay but the snacks with it had the typical 'master chef' stamp of Pankaj Bhadouria. And the cafe manager, an IHM student was very cheerful, warm and receptive. Way to go Tramp Tree. God Bless!

Vast variety of tea , made very well !Interiors are done with all natural material .Small but impressive place.
Nice, small & quaint cafe in Hazratganj. The place is done up really well. The food and coffee is fine
exactly...as the name..an easy-breezy wood-styled one..with finger licking food....must go even when alone.
I find the decor, food everything quirky and different from what is being generally served in Lucknow.
Interesting concept, first time in Lucknow. By a very widely travelled food enthusiast
Tiny place , cozy interior, prompt service and good food..What u need else..
Love this Coffee shop in the heart of Lucknow. Definitely worth a visit.
Peaceful environment😊 nd good taste too👍
The food quality is high though the portion size is small.
