Review Laddu Chanakya - Lucknow

Before writing this review, I must say to everyone that if you are a true food lover and not just someone who fills their tummy, you must try the kulfi with cracked dry nuts. It has a wonderful flavor that resembles the indulgence of chowk gate butter during summers. Once you taste it, you will definitely forget about Prakash Kulfi. It offers a delightful taste at a reasonable price.

Best kulfi in lucknow. Period. They also serve mattha rs 20 for a glass, which is quite popular here. Without frills, expansive disposable cutlery, less stress on housekeeping and great value for money products. This shop may be looked down upon by the posh elites but for me this old school eatery holds a special place in my heart.

This shop was established in 1983. It is one of the top preffered sweet shops in Lucknow. I never miss drinking Mattha(Buttermilk) from this store while visiting here. Try it's phaluda kulfi also which is available in the evening.

I got that taste for which I was searching for in Lucknow. The Saam-e-awadh coolfie and the juicy milk barfi are one of the best servings in Lucknow. You can also try delicious Peda, Laddoos and Amrit Mattha.

This is most awesome Desi place you'll find in the vicinity to eat something filing and at the same time in your budget. Best combo I recommend is a masala dosa followed by a glass of refreshing mattha! BTW the kulfi offered here is also great and Chanakya ke laddu are my anytime favorite.

Must visit this place for amazing sweets which are not so sweet, which means you can eat more sweets. You gonna love this place, do try their kalakand and kulfi❣️😋

The place is nice. Very popular among the youngsters as well as the oldsters too. As they sell matha in the morning, there are so many people to buy it . It's taste is nice and u can get it spending 10 bucks. So many people of almost all age groups as well as the players if stadium do come here in morning for having a glass of matha. Laddoo of this shops are awesome although it is costly but the taste is just epic, it's worth of every penny. And you should try the kulfi too it is also awesome very tasty. Seating area is very big, nice open . It's great place.

Tasty sweets... Especially the milk barfi... But the best part is their matha (available in morning only) and their amazing kulfi... They use very good quality milk which highlights in all of their products... Must try kulfi... It's served without the vermicelli noodles.. personally found it to be even better than prakash...

This shop sells only 3 sweets, laddu, pede and barfi. And since it's focused on only these 3 sweets, it excels in them. Strongest-ly recommended to try out barfi and pede. The best ever I've eaten in my lifetime till now.

Visit it frequently for the mattha and laddo and the amazing icecream kulfi here. The kulfi tastes like what we used to have when we were little. Though slightly on the higher side in pricing the kulfi is worth tasting if you are in Lucknow and ware passing by Parivartan chowk

This is one of the most famous place of Lucknow..they serve best quality of laddoo ,burfi and khulfi

I think when I had this kulfi for the first time I was 3 years old. Till date I haven't found any replacement of this🤤 I travel from Gomtinagar extension to hazratganj just to have this kulfi.

Laddoo chanakya my favorite place to have kulfi, in Summers I visit this place on every alternate day. Rest products are also worth trying.<br/>But their kulfi is so soft, smooth & flavourful.<br/>

Superb place for having kulfi. Surely one of my favourites in Lucknow.<br/>I would definitely give the kulfi a top rating.<br/>The other sweets (especially laddoo) and dosa served here are okay, which is why I have not given it top rating.<br/>The service is also decent. The very old place in lucknow with good taste of matha (chach) which start selling from early from 5:00 am one glass of matha make u feel fresh and the hand made makhan process is amazing it took around half an hour to make this makhan the service is good with great taste where you can sit enjoy the drink and food and the beauty of Hazratganj .

This is the fourth place I visited in continuation to my previous post about the visit to the City of Kebabs..err...Nawabs, couple of months ago.<br/>.<br/>Though this wasn’t recommended (a friend had recommended some places as I was short on time) but it was next to the wine shop and in the vicinity of the hotel where I was staying. Thus it was decided to give Prakash Kulfi (which was recommended) a miss and try this instead. A person in our group brought us here and explained that he had enjoyed the Kulfi from here during his previous visit to the town. After a bite, he was the first one to enquire if anything had changed as he found the taste quite ordinary and different from his previous visit. So was the experience for the rest of us. Tastiest kulfi and barfi in LUCKNOW. Their milk pudding is extremely soft and fresh with the creamiest texture u can not get anywhere else. Kulfi was not like any other kulfi available in lucknow. Unlike other outlets which serves freezed kulfi with falooda, chanakya delights ur pallets with mild freezed kulfi which almost reminds you of the makkhan malai of old city area. It's very creamy, buttery and almost melt in mouth texture. Highly recommended.

The owner here is an honorable man. He is passionate and serious about what he sells. The way he cuts his barfi shows the respect he has for his sweets. And all this honour is reflected in his sweets. Just visit once with a sweet tooth and u will fall in love with their #milk barfi and laddoo and of course the mighty kulfi. #kulfi- in every bite u r going to chew pistachios(just imagine).

This sweet shop prepares very special & tasty BURFI, PEDA and LADDOO made from a very pure & special variety of Khoya.In the morning this shop prepares MATTHA which is really very tasty and of unmatched quality.

The most on point Kulfi I have ever had. Creamy, packed with tons of flavour & just the right thing to munch on after a plate of biryani. Truly super!

Don't go by the exteriors of the place. <br/>May not look very hygienic or ambient, but don't let that fool you. <br/>These guys know their sweet dishes, and they know it very well. <br/>A milk sweet that they make here with broken milk is super yummy and fresh. <br/>The kulfi here is rich and creamy and full of Kesar flavour and real pistachios. <br/>It's so delicious, it just melts in your mouth <br/><br/>Definitely a must try.

The beat Malai Barfi in the world and I mean it. Its one of those naayaab & unique delicacies that one remembers for life. The Kulfi is outstanding as well but the Barfi is out of the world, its a gastronomic pilgrimage

Burfi is amazing. It's got just the perfect balance of sweetness in the burfi. The milk is boiled down to the correct consistency of thickness and brings out the perfect texture while eating. <br/><br/>The difference you will feel while eating this burfi as compared to the other milk burfi in the market is that this one has been cooked down to a thick texture which still remains watery to an extent. The other burfi in market are usually dry because of excessive khoya or milk powder addition. Also, they are too sweet which overpowers the sweetness of natural milk.<br/><br/>In short, this is a must have burfi for all sweet lovers.

A must visit place to have some everlasting taste for "sweets dessert" yeah!! This is the adda of many car visitors at night just bcoz of d kulfi dey serve.. Its taste cant even b mentioned in words😋 super-duper taste.. Laddoo Chanakaya ,this shop in the LGF of sham-e-awadh market ,as the name says the halwais use their chanakyaneeti that it cant be matched by any other sweet shop in lucknow ,be it kulfi , safed peda , burfi or laddoo all are just "UMDA".

Coming back after GANJING... And having Chanakya Kulfi at Parivartan is like Sone pe suhagaa... This Kulfi (along with Prakash's from chowk) is a must if one visits Lucknow. Though the other items they serve under the same roof like dosa and sambhar are just like any other average restraunt, the Kulfi stands out. And do read the quotes on the walls...:)

Rating is solely based on their Kulfi. Quite different from Prakash's. It's kind of a cross b/w "Rabdee" and "kulfi" in general sense. The place is also famous for its "MATTHA".<br/><br/>P.S. One of the few places in the city which still has that 90's vibe.

Some amazing kulfi and matha at privartan chowk! Good quality, this place is packed at 7 in the morning for the matha and for kulfis in the evening the other desserts are also good ;)

Continuing with my Food Journey in Lucknow, Landed at this place to have Kulfi and I can bet it's much better than Prakash Kulfi. You have to look for this shop, ask in the vicinity otherwise you're going to miss it. This shop is famous for Chach ( butter milk) which sadly wasn't available when I reached this shop. Tried their Kesar Kulfi which was excellent and also had a portion of their Milk Barfi which was again melt in the mouth. SO if you have a sweet tooth like I do. Don't miss this shop. @ Chief_foodie highly recomends it for Kulfi.

If u want to enjoy real kulfi then this the correct place. They make kulfi which was used to make ice creams in the era where there were no deep freezers but only ice and the milk in the container was manually turned around continuously. The result is very tasty kulfi. The milk burfi and ladoos are very good. Don't go for looks as they are without artificial colors. Lastly this place was started by wrestlers even today u can see the staff for yourself. People for body building used to churn the matta early in the morning as it's adjacent to stadium. So enjoy next time here here. My favorite in hazratganj for kulfi though they don't add falooda but try it's excellent...

went here recently after reading lots of good reviews on zomato ,had kulfi and mattha...Kulfi was very good here and mattha was average. . Good place to recharge yourself in hot summers.

Best place for sweet lovers.. Especially milk based desserts. Kulfi is absolutely awesome.. Nothing compared to anywhere else in the city. A very low key place.. But good for an after dinner outing

if you are a fan of kulfi den dis is the place you should visit. The best kulfis in Lucknow. Their kulfi is not advertised much so most peopl;e dont know about it. The Mattha is also very nice and is a relief in the summers. Their kulfis are better than Prakash Kulfi in My view.

This place was like heaven for relaxation amidst the friends after hectic practise sessions at KD Singh Babu Stadium. Their buttermilk is just fantastic and the best in the town as I'm their regular customer since years. Its fresh, hygienic n good for the health. Their laddoos are always the best for merry making occasions.

Buttermilk is known for its medicinal properties so it helps in keeping people fit. One of the oldest shops of lucknow which have handful of items in their kitty which are best in the city. If you all are looking for fresh Mattha or kulfi this is the place, not to forget their laddos which will actually make your day having it after a glass of matha. The best part the place is the price which is quite decent.

This place serves the best kulfi you're ever gonna eat in your life!! It's basically a small sweet shop near Clarks Awadh which serves very limited milk sweets and laddoos. Also, try their "Doodhiya Barfi" which, when consumed fresh, transforms this simple milk sweet into an irresistible treat. The shop is an old establishment and no renovation has been done for quite some time. Hence, it gives you a feel of yesteryear Lucknow and its simplicity.

I had two of them and i am somebody who will skip sweets most of the time after a lovely meal. And I had two of them that night. The very next day i asked my local friend to take me there and having the same Kulfi again that to right at the shop was outstanding and it tasted better than the first time i had it!<br/>They give you as per the weight 50grams or 100 grams!! I highly recommend Laddo Chanakya for their Kulfi to all! Chanakya Laddoo - a place not hard to find, but easy to miss in the crowded Parivartan Chowk area traffic, especially when you're in a hurry.<br/><br/>Now people with a sweet tooth are suggested to visit this place of repute whenever they have time to spare. The sweets, especially their 'barfi' and 'laddoo' are authentic. The kulfi, and lassi are no less. I suggest you try everything on their menu once.<br/><br/>Having said that, this is not a restaurant in the proper sense, but dosas and other vegetarian food is also available here. This rating is for the taste and quality of the sweets basically, but this can serve as a place to hang out at with friends.

Chanakya Laddoo is an Old sweet shop which is still carrying its legacy.<br/>It isn't a tough place to locate. Basically, it's in parivartan Chowk.<br/>They have got seats enough for 8-10 people. The ambience is poor. But since it's not a restaurant, it matters least. Hygiene is something which needs to be taken care of.<br/>They are mainly famous for their "BESAN K LADDOO" which are very filling and are so fresh that it breaks into your hand.<br/>Beside their laddoos their Burfi and kulfi are also worth trying.<br/><br/>Overall, you can visit them for their Laddoos.<br/>

It is really tasty and yummy with no adulteration really with pure and gud quality . It's a epitome of all sweets ....even the owner is also a freak person with a very calm and polite in nature really he is a real human.

An old and trusted place, Chanakya is a very fine place when it comes to Laddoos and Kulfi. However, their Pedha and Barfi are also good but a special mention needs to be made of their Kulfi. You might find every item on their menu having better taste in other parts of the city but their Kulfi is best among all. Must try.
