Review Raj & Raj - Lucknow

I visited the restaurant for my food pickup, didn't dine in. We ordered 3 dishes and it took 15 mins to get our order prepared. The food taste was okay, nothing extraordinary about it. The tandoori rotis were pretty soft, will give good marks for that. I glanced at the dining area and it looked a bit conjusted from outside, but i actually can't explain in detail. They had air-conditioning though, which is a ++ in the scorching heat of Lucknow. Paneer butter masala - 3.5/5 Malai kofta - 3/5 Tandoori roti - 4/5 The packaging was done very well and the food didn't spill. Would dine out next time to give a better review on that.

Very good family restaurant must try if trying for first time. I have been a regular customer since the last 10 years never been disappointed.🫂

Ordered mushroom masala. Fragrance and taste both were exceptional. Slight room for change in quantity. .otherwise a perfect place to order from. Will try more food items from them in future. Overall a good experience

Note this that the food is awesome in that price range what you will see. They have a good menu setup and service is okish. The atmosphere is little old fashioned type and space is very less. Overall the restaurant serves a good food.

They are good but kind of rush place. If you are planning to go here with your family and more than 4 people then you might have to wait for the table. Because their setup is for four people. The taste of the food is fine.

have been going here since my childhood. Back in the days this was the only go-to place in the area with a variety of cuisine to offer. Desi ghee chaat in kulhadd(soil utensil) is a must try.

A good choice to enjoy a tasty snack or a full-fedged dinner if you happen to be in ashiyana...it's an ordinary restaurant offering amazing flavours in their food...the service here is quick and the prices are also quite affordable.. The Aloo Chaat,the Papdi Chaat and Golgappas are a must try(l personally loved the Papdi Chaat).. The Chola Bhatura is just amazing(the chola is full of spices and the bhatura is fresh) l also tried the Raj sp.burger which was just okay as the Paneer Patty had too much of paneer inside it which made the mouth very dry whilst eating,so l am unlikely to give it a try again. My previous experiences with some main course dishes of this place have also been great.. All in all,! would recommend this place to anyone who is in search of delicious food at a fair rate...

It's an amazing place for family and friends. If you are craving for finger licking and budget friendly food ,then it's a must try place. Kolhapuri paneer and butter naan should be tried. So visit and enjoy.✨💕

The food here is fit for all category type food. They don't make spicy food here and hence this place is ideal to bring children and older persons. You can eat stomach full and won't get any complains for the taste or the quality. The chaat and panipuri gets a large crowd here and it gets crowdier outside but inside there's space. Although the place is not very beautiful, but it's okay. You get to fill your tummy at a very low cost. Give this a try, visit once and enjoy the food, specially golgappas ☺️

This place is good as it is hell cheap offers chaat too. Taste is good and the staff is friendly. Crowded during evenings and hard to find an empty table. Food taste is good . Ambience is poor. It is lyk a Dhaba with tables and chairs

Take and go type food centre barely you need to spent 15min to half an hour to get the ordered food mostly it serves fast food and chinese dishes with a decent price tag.You would be satisfied by the quality of the food what you pay for!!!<br/>In short IT WORTHS value<br/>the only thing that you find a bit uncomfortable is seating arrangement for customer is not upto that mark.<br/>But this place is worth visiting because of its taste.

Raj & Raj is serving good and economical food . It's ideal for students and families with tight budget . Meals are average in taste . Sometimes service is annoying in restaurant .

We had there many times a small place but taste-wise its really big we had stuffed kulcha, butter rice and paneer lababdaar all were really good.

Its a nice restaurant with decent seating arrangement and yummy food items with a great variety. The authentic punjabi-north indian taste which is not too much heavy on your pocket is the USP here. Have tried a variety of dishes here with absolutely no disappointments. The cost effectiveness always work in their favour. Its a very popular place nearby.

One of the best experience in Indian food. Proper punjabi khana..Cholle batore was awesome..You will not find dal makhani and paneer lababdar like this anywhere else in Lucknow..Perfect mix of spices and taste..Must visit place..

Matter Tikki Chat-Yummy I would say..... Won't find any where the way they present in Mud Cup (Khulladh) An ultimate place for Lunch & dinner...Very reasonable, neat, clean with a great service. I and my family went there randomly. We found it clean and went inside to have food. In fact, the staff was very well mannered. We spent four days in Lucknow. And honestly speaking, we had five or six meals at this restaurant in four days. We even tried Singapuri Chowmien, Mutter paneer & Veg Biryani. It was good...Full Punjabi taste....would recommend everyone to visit this place🙂

Taste of chat is good and Chinese is mouth watering. Tried veg biryani and it was just vow.<br/>Best vegetarian restaurant in the area. Cheap rates and very quick.

Very nice place for north indian food. Specially paneer hyderbadi was yummy. Not so masaledar but perfect composition of spices.<br/>Reasonable rates and fast service.

It was the best homely food I ever had , I tried place mostly for home delivery been there twice . Amazing food will rate this 4.5/5 for the taste , 3.5/5 for the sitting area , 4/5 for the quick service and 2.5/5 for the waiting outside the place.

I personally like the food of this place. Pocket friendly and tasty. Though a bit more work on cleanliness in food making and interiors can be carried out. Dosa, chat, fried rice, Manchurian are some of my favourites.

I know this restaurant from more than 10 years, at that time the food quality was awesome but nowadays the taste is no longer thats why i switch this from another options available.

Khana badhiya hai, safai bhi achi hai, kam paise me pet bhar khana mil jayega, service se mai jyada impress nahi hua bhot late hai, family aur couple dono k liye behtar hai...

There was time raj n raj had its charm.. It still stands strong.. but somewhere i feel.. quality has gone down.. it has become bit overpriced and quantity is less according to rates.. have hopes from u.. buck up 👍👍

A very economical and place to dine with your family. The thali is delicious. The ambience is homely. All the paneer dishes are mouth watering. This place also serves one of the finest Golgappas.

A Budget Friendly Resturant<br/><br/>The most i love about this place is Aloo chat served in Mitti ka dauna. Golgappas are my second favourite. They also have a decent indoor dining area. This place is pocket friendly as u can get tasty food at a cheaper price. Not suitable for dine in. The staff is Absurd and only greedy for tip, if u don't pay tip they shamelessly come out and ask for it. Restorent management should pay them or educate them enough at least not to beg for tip, if customer feels he will pay or not. Food is just ok . I won't recommend anyone to eat in the restaurant section, possibly tiki and snacks is just ok

Since I had only chaat so a short review... Visited today had Aaloo Tikki... the famous north indian chat and Paani k batase / paani poori... Aaloo tikki was lipsmatching. They serves it in a clay pot which enhances d taste..

Raj special dosa - 3/5 (Nothing very special in it, taste was very much like the normal paneer dosa)<br/>2. Raj special burger- 3.5/5 (the patty of the burger was tasty😍 )<br/>3. Worst place if are looking for good quality food. You'll see no. Of people standing outside but most of them are not standing for food but only for chaat. Note: If you went for parcel and ordered only single dish then the guy who takes order can be rude to you when you ask for ur parcel that you didn't got even after 45min. Of order. They might take you as cheap customer.

Extremely budget friendly place, especially for family dinners. Take away packing is good and the taste of the food is also very good for the price. I've eaten the thali, noodles, fried rice, manchurian gravy and pav bhaji and found all these items to be good.

I have been visiting Raj & Raj from the time it used to sell Alu Tikki and Pani ke bataashe (Pani Poori) near Aashiana Square. Since then, i have seen this place evolve as a restaurant. Without a doubt, Best Alu tikki in Ashiana is served by Raj & Raj.<br/><br/>Its a small restaurant, usually crowded by students who come there for treats, birthday bash etc. Set-up is similar to a mess.<br/><br/>All food items i have tried and all tastes good. and my favourite is Alu tikki.<br/><br/>0.5 marks less for sitting arrangement, it can be much much better.<br/><br/>P.s : I was a frequent visitor to this place during my student days. My review is based on my last visit to Lucknow & this place 3 months back.

Food was good but place is not good many people told me that this shop is too much famous for food but I went so many times food was okey and the service quality is not good.

It was a very small dhaba type place when I was in my school.. Now they grow this place well, and now it's a restaurant.. Food and taste is the same, I can say its OK.. It's not so costly.. Service was not good.. This place often overcrowded in evening.. Famous for street food..

ashiyana was my residence years back , last time I visited this place in 2004..... they charge for what they serve and the service is also fine . A good place to stuff your belly with good food that too in ur budget

Pros: Cheap, Quick service (for take home food)<br/>Cons: Seating arrangement (design) etc is messed up and confusing for first timers. When you become familiar its ok. Randomly parked vehicles in front cause chaos .<br/><br/>So if your family is out or dont plan to cook, drop by get some food packed and enjoy at home.<br/><br/>If you plan to dine out , no this isnt best option, the environment is messy due to high demand and some unprofessional management. But then costs here will justify, they will not burn a hole in your pocket<br/><br/>You will go in and walk out "full" in as low as 100 rs, where else you get that.<br/><br/>Its more of "necessity" restaurant than "luxury" restaurant.  It serves well the role it took thats why it survived for so many years.<br/><br/>If the owners were creative they could do some simple changes to make it look more appealing by raising 5% or 10% of costs it could become what many of us want it to be. Currently only reliable option for take home food. and cheap dining out.  Not the best where you dine out with family on a weekend, but good daily option.<br/><br/>Its always more crowded than most "premium" restaurants around. I don't know why people still go in raj n raj, when you talk about hygiene its horrible food is also very tasteless + the place itself is so tacky that you can't sit and eat in their resturant. For me its a much hyped place in Aashiyana.

Its okay. But not a place you would want to stick around for a long time. Ambiance - poor, Service - poor, Food - Up for a toss. If they could only redo the interiors and whip up their staff then I could rate it a little more.

Raj & Raj is synonymous to the second home for all Ashiana-ites or the Adda for the lazy families (As they say it). Hop on and carry away the Manchurian along with piping Noodles and you're done for the day. The restaurant has been widely known for its chinese but has spread its wings to snacks too. Do give it a try and I'm sure you will pay a visit back soon.

The only good feel factor about this place is the food they are serving....the setup and the ambiance is very uncomfortable. the price ratio to food quality is quite good. This place is catering to lot of people who often utilize services of this place and that's why it has made a name that is recognized. However, apart from the food aspect, other things need a real uplift considering the competition that is growing. Menu needs to be reworked since it seems to be quite ordinary and needs organizing......and services need to be looked into seriously.........

The place is very crowded, and it's not because the food is "that great" but because the set-up of the place is very confusing. It's the only in-budget good eat-out place in the area, so it's also crowded for those reasons.<br/>I have mostly eaten Chinese and south-Indian dishes and they were above average. Not awesome, but above average. You should eat here once, you'll like it. But you won't feel like coming back.<br/><br/>I still think it does better than the high-end restaurants that serve crappy food.

Very average restaurant. Though they have improved over the time but they need to undergo some huge change to cope up with the competition in the city. Nothing absolutely nothing is special about this place. Food is below average Quality. Better food available in nearby dhabas. Waiters are dumb really dumb... They need proper training and should be informed about the food in their menu card. 2.5 marks for me.

The restaurant serves fine delicacies and probably won't kick you down the taste. All the Aashiyana residents rely heavily on it and why not when they can get pretty satiating variety of cuisines at an adequate prices. It has Chinese, north south Indian, pizzas(must try special raj pizza that's piquant), desserts, gol gappas, chat bla bla.<br/><br/>Well as already said the food's great I must say they've the finest chef in their kitchen they also don't put you waiting for long in their seemingly unhygienic indoors and uncomfortable chairs. I just wanna say get packed your food and eat home. <br/>One thing they ought to learn and work on is how to serve and show hospitality. R & R show some less of your "antique attitude" reply fair you are doing great job.

Only tried chat and gol gappas and I recommend this restaurant for the same....excellent
