When I used to live in Lucknow I always prefer to have dinner in Step in cafe because they serve at a affordable price.
Either you are a vegetarian or non vegetarian you will get the tastiest food here.
Just opposite to BBDNITM. I have always loved the food. Food for lower prices. Bhaiya'a behavior is very good. He is very polite.

There they provide you with good quality food. Thali is all good but if you are a regular student and live nearby area, you can try Dal Roti and Chhola bhatura here. Sometimes they stuck with price calculation and very stingy in this. Otherwise all good.
The best near BBD. My college life begins with this place. Lovely owner and helpful. As we were regular and have good terms with owner we often paid 20 30 rs less. And Boti kebab chicken is my favorite here. I have eaten at this place for 5 years from my 4 years of college and 1year when I was work
Overall it's good, but sometime its not meet our expectations that's why I rate 4 else it's good enough, also it's not too expensive like other restaurant, infrastructure is fair enough neither soo good not too bad.
