It's a decent place to satisfy one's craving for south indian food. They also have north indian food in their menu. Visited gomtinagr outlet quite a no. of times, this was my first visit to this outlet. And i must mention, this place is pretty good ! It gave me calm peaceful environment with soothing music. Coming to food, i had spring roll dosa and masala dosa. Both tasted awesome. Dosas were accompanied by sambhar and 3 types of chutneys. Service was really quick. So, overall a great place to have both authentic south indian food and north indian as well ! 🙂

The taste is authentic. Tried their masala dosa, kadhai paneer and Tandoori roti, rice with rasam and Dahi vada. Everything tasted amazing, tickled my tastebuds for more. Except for Dahi vada, the vada used was too hard. So that was the only minus point. Rest the ambience and decor are beautiful and the service is good too. Located on the main road just below moti Mahal Tandoori trail.

I would like to acknowledge and appreciate the behaviour and courtesy of the staff and manager, it was little awkward situation for me, My 7 year old daughter was in dire need of using washroom and we could not find any public toilets nearby. Restaurant was open and when I checked with staff if we can use the washroom they helped us immediately. Thanks to such a great and courteous staff !!!

Liked the ambience of this place, the music gives you the vibe of south India. Although the food wasn't upto the mark. Ordered a hara bhara Kabab and their special Paneer Dosa accompanied with Fresh lime. Hara Bhara kabab was okay, but the Dosa was extremely oily. It literally smeared my hands with oil all over. Dosa are suppose to be one of the healthy dished yet this much oily food is unacceptable. Hope the restaurant will look into it

I took my parents out on dinner. As I heard about Sagar Ratna before also, I decided to take them there only. First we ordered vegetable soup - which was full of salt and even the crockery used by them was pretty dull. Then later on, in the main course we ordered kadhai paneer and mix veg. It was horrible experience coz the kadhai paneer was so tangy and the mix veg had some gravy to it (expected it to be dry) and it had the same tangy gravy of kadhai paneer. There was no difference in the taste of both the dishes as it had the same gravy. Overall it was a horrible experience altogether.

The best from this place is masala dosa , The dosa is crispy and it is served with sambhar and 2 dlavours of chutney which is nariyal and other is the green chutney . The taste of both the chutneys is delectable . The sambhar is perfect not too spicy . Must visit this place .

Sorry but the food they served me this time could be bad for my health. The chutney was expired. Mr Nitesh Kumar took it away as soon as we complained and refused to give it back. Earlier experience here was fine. But now I would like to say, visit other branches except this one.

I think it is the worst branch of sagar ratna in Lucknow now. The red chutney they served was expired. Asked them to check the chutney, the waiter agreed but Mr. Nitesh was not ready to accept the fault. Chinese was cold. However taste was fine. You can visit other branches like Gomti nagar or bhoothnath.

The food was alright on the other hand the service staff was down right terrible. The food took a long time to come,the waiter was rude and ill-tempered,as was the manager. When asked for spoon the waiter haughtily told as that they were short on spoons and we can talk to manager if we like. The two main dishes which were served both of them were sweet which was not detailed in the menu or by the waiter. The food was nice but again theservice ruined it all.

Worst experience ever.i have been to other branches of sagar ratna but this one is worst. The dosa which we ordered was soggy also the sambhar was served cold. We asked them to replace the sambhar so i came after we finished our half meal. The service was very bad. Water was provided at the end of the meal. You can visit other branches like gomti nagar one but not this one.

Sagar ratna aliganj Restaurant is Lucknow’s one of the best restaurant for having dinner with family, or with any colleagues or so. I visited their with friends for lunch my experience was so awesome. Place was very neat and clean. Staff was well dressed. They treated very well. Completely hygienic. Food was so yummy, delicious and well presented. Food quality was too good. They took little much time as they offered but the result was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited here with my family. Ambience of place is good with light south indian music playing in background. They have a polite staff too. They mainly have south dishes like idli, dosa, upma etc. along with north indian food. We ordered kadai paneer, malai kofta paneer dosa and lime soda. Food was too tasty. It is famous for south indian food but i tried executive thali. Packing was very good it took me 5 minutes to open it🤣 Food was good but it can be better. Rice was smelling like mithai. Dal makhni, paneer, naan and parantha were good. Thali was enough for one person. Order it if you you are very hungry

First of all the place, it was the best. Then the food, I ordered Mysore paneer dosa and for my friend a butter masala dosa. I must mention that spicy symbol is there against Mysore paneer dosa but it wasn't that spicy and tasted amazing 😋. We ordered Rawa Onion Plain Dosa and Onion Masala Dosa along with Masala Fried Idlis. The highlights were the "chutneys" served especially the green chutney. The sambhar definitely has a lot of scope for improvement. The Rawa dosa was just average. The masala dosa was good. The masala idlis were well fried but definitely lacked masala, I wish they were spicy. The ambience is decent and the staff is courteous and quick. Overall it was a good experience. We made another visit after almost 6 months and tried chola bhatura and Masala Dosa. Both were yummilicious😍.

Sagar Ratna is a well known fine dine family restaurant. It has got multiple locations. We visited Aliganj one recently. It has got a really nice ambiance and comfortable seating arrangement with soothing lighting. Food is undoubtedly amazing here. It serves only vegetarian food. We tried Hare Bhare kebabs, kadhai paneer , Sagar ratna special dal tadka , mixed vegetable and Butter naan. Everything was delicious. Hare bhare kebab are a must try here. We loved it. South Indian food is also really good here. Their staff is well trained. And service is nice. They were very attentive to us. Overall , a nice place to visit with your family and friends. "To the best stuffed aaloo ever tasted in Lucknow" Recently we visited to Sagar Ratna in Aliganj area . The stuffed aloo was very tasty. Mysore masala dosa was an another delight. The dosa was crispy as well as the stuffing was perfect.We also ordered Sagar Ratna Special Thal was perfect in terms of its price and content. It had Puri, chaval, dal, sabji, rasam and other items that an Indian family would like to have in dinner

I am glad to find that such big chains are opening their stores in tier two cities now and that too with a great fine dining setup. South Indian food is everyone's favorite and it gets more tasty when it was cooked and served properly. We ordered tomato onion uttapam, dahi bada, some variety of Idli ( don't remember the name) and a vegetable curry with coconut flavor and it all tastes really good, sambhar can be improved a little but chutneys are totally on point. But I more liked it because of their service, the staff was really attentive, courteous and good with his food recommendations as well.

Food was terribly below average . Sambhar of any dish is not good. We have ordered 3 dishes of paneer ( kadhai , paneer butter masala and lababdar ) all turned out to be way below average. Visited it on my Birthday . Had its Deluxe Thali . It was quite enjoyable. Mix veg , daal makhani , pulao were flavorful and promising , the Gulab Jamun was the best I have ever eaten . However , the Shahi Paneer was a tad more sweet than my liking . Overall , a good experience.

Onion capsicum uttapamn is the best in the city Pineapple halwa personally i did not like it. Dine in or delivery i was satisfy with the quality and quantity.

Had a long time plan to visit the place, but somehow not managed to turn up. Suddelyly found the same in delivery option,ordered paneer dosa and dahi vara for lunch, overall it was good in taste and quantity, though I didn't like the sambar much, i can rate dosa 4/5 and dahi vara 3/5 as it was below par in Lucknow standard, delivery timing and packaging was excellent

A great place for a group to have dine. Though it is famous for its south indian food , we orderd indian food and it too taste awesome. We ordered paneer do pyaza, paneer masala, dosa, upma, daal makhani and they were gr8 in taste. Will surely visit here again and try some of there south indian food.
