Since childhood my favorite fried fish in Lucknow was Sardar jees fish at the Lane behind Tulsi theatre. <br/>have been visiting this place for more than 30 years now and though a modest eatery has been fav for fried fish lovers in the famous-kabab/biryani lane  near Tulsi theatre!!<br/>In town, so went to same place after years and noticed not much has changed alongwith the senior Sardarjis magical spices in the fish. Got boneless fried fish from the place couple of days back and trust me, it was as yummy as it always used to be!

this restaurnt is situated near tusi cinema hazratganz. and it taste good only when your one bottle down. dont expect awadhi falavours in dishes.

"My first let down in Lucknow"<br/><br/>Ever since I moved to Lucknow, the weekends have been spent visiting the outlets I came across when roaming the city or ones recommended by collegues. Most of them have been above average as the quality of food; be it street food or restaurant food, is really good. Have been rarely disappointed in my culinary excursions so far.<br/><br/>But this place was the first big disappointment. Recommended as the place to go to for best fried fish, it really was a big let down. <br/><br/>Maybe it was because having spent half my life in Punjab, I have had some amazing variants of the famous Amritsari fish or maybe the fish used in Lucknow is something which my palette is not used to; whatever the reason, this place was nowhere on my culinary scale.<br/><br/>A disappointed fish lover. Pls tell me better places for eating fish in Lucknow. Till then I will fry mine at home and go for the other Awadhi delicacies.
