Review Maa Durgma Restaurant - Lucknow

Tasty khichdi, and aloo kulcha, varied selection of sabzi, and fast service. The food was fresh. Would definitely come back to try their many paneers and Dhals. I would recommend having a toilet available for customers to use. Thalis for under 200.

Whosoever is trying to review it below a 4 is definitely misleading others. I read the reviews looks like a copy paste job by all . Now coming to the restaurant , it could be termed as one of the best places for vegetarians . I ordered missi roti n dal which tasted awesome, the service is lighting quick as well . So people pls do visit the place and get some authentic dhaba style food !

Ordered Lunch from one of the renowned restaurants in Lucknow- Durgma Restaurant which is located at Lagbagh (basement), in front of sharma tea. ⭐What I ordered- Paneer Handi, paneer butter masala, dal makhani, baigan ka bharta, gulab jamun, kheer, breads. Had a great experience as the food was highly palatable and inexpensive. The place is famous for its North Indian cuisine and serves delectable Vegetarian food. Also I would like to highlight, they don't use cream in their dishes, not even now. They use dry fruits & seeds making the gravy rich & creamy and not at all unhealthy. It is now open for dine-in but i preferred ordering in. This also reminds me of the standard packaging, everything was sealed and very nicely packed. The breads turned out to be so soft even after 1hour of delivery. I'll definitely recommend to try out their dishes. You can order via zomato/swiggy or Dine-in. And be careful of the name you search on zomato, it's just 'Durgma Restaurant' and the basement one if you dine-in.

It's very old restaurant which i know from my childhood. If you ignore the ambience and hospitality then the quality of your lunch dinner is very good comparitively with costly restaurant. I am just talking about the food so it's not good if you compare with big restaurants where you will have great seating experience. It's in budget as well so you can go and try at once. This feedback is for the basement Durgama restaurant.

Tasty food, good service, a.c.hall for tables Dishes available at 1/2 plate quantity. So no wastage. Reasonable prices. Better food place for middle class.

The Hotel is situated at nice spot, quite crowded but can be easily spotted. Its infront of famous Sharma ji ki Chai Service was very fast and responsive Food was good for some items and some items were average, On whole if ur Vegan or happen to eat veg due to some particular day, then this hotel is best bet in town full of Nonveg stars

if you are not in search of ambience but in search of north indian food, this is just the right place. prices are super affordable. great in taste. No car parking space available so you need to park in multi level parking.

It is good, if you want the home made and fresh tandoori roti, you can try it we are eating it since 2002

Good simple food ... I got so hooked that I kept going there through out my stay .. they also do deserts .. the sabjis are really good ...just a bit heavy on the oil so you need to them to lower the oil quantity

They have many cuisines in their menu but I don't like some of them like the south indian dishes are too sober, north Indian dishes are served really well a great mix kf spices

They didn't even listen your instructions. So follow would be like something next to impossible. I have even called them for giving the instructions, but still the same kind of attitude. Worst packing, gravy was just spilling out of the box. Very bad experience since last 4-5 orders.

Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. The meal was served hot and excellent taste. The server was very friendly and helpful.<br/><br/>Great food at a great price!

Hello guys ...<br/>Please dont ever visit this restaurant no doubt they serve good food but the waiters here are very ill mannered they dont even pack the food if the food is being left on your table they say that "jhutha hai and hum ni pack krte ye sab" and in a meanwhile the waiter got 10 rs tip and packed the whole food left on the other table ..<br/>Means how disgusting they are and how can they disrespect the food in todays time where the poor childrens and people dont get food due to these kind of pathetic peoples and the public visiting the restaurant is being forced to waste the food ...<br/>Never gonna visit this again theg lost there 15 years old customer ...<br/>Totally disappointed ....

This place has a decent setup for families. If you love homemade food this place is your go to spot. I specially recommend aloo kofta to all those who love different taste but dont really like veggies or paneer.

It is a restaurant from where you will get quality food with good packing at reasonable cost. Have ordered multiple times at my office for lunch.

It's a place.eith history and hence was on my wishlist for quite some time. Went with a huge group of 10 for dinner on a weekday to find most of the tables full. When we managed to combine tables for seating of 10 we ordered Dal tadka, mix veg, raita , besan roto and tawa roti. The service was quick but sloppy. Spoons were not provided immediately for serving the vegetables . Taste was good, not spicy at all. Although Dal fry could have been better as it seemed plain insipte of tadka . The rotis we're good and tawa roti was thin and hotly served. The half and full system of dishes can get you confused hence be careful when you order.

A good option for vegetarians I had there for dinner nd my order was aalo stuffed kulcha which was crispy and tasty with paneer do pyaza sabji was also superb in taste. Value for money.

These guys only focus on money, dont care about your health at all and serve stale food.The last time i ordered food on 3rd mar 2019 it caused "serious" stomach related issues. I am very angry being an old customer and Didn't expect such a poor quality. It's a place that serves decent food at cost effective prices.<br/>Location ofcourse was good. Ambience would be called clean not beautiful.<br/>Food tasted decent, we ordered for paneer special and dal. It tasted nice.<br/>Overall its a nice place if you want to have a meal on budget.

Some places lose their glory and charm over a period of time. For instance, when they start they are very famous and popular because they set some standards in Food, Quality, Service. Now as time passes by their Quality, Standards, Service degrades and deteriorates. <br/><br/>That is all I will say and write. Durgma Restaurant at Lalbagh is one such place. Once, this place was a delight for Foodies. You will not get this much food at this much prices. This was quintessentially a Dhaba converted to a Restaurant. <br/><br/>That Dhaba is long gone now. The restaurant was trying to become. Sadly and Unfortunately -- Now when I visited the Durgma Restaurant -- it is no longer a Dhaba and also no Longer a Restaurant. I am sad. Really Sad. <br/><br/>I am not criticizing anyone. Just writing my Review. I do not have any hard feelings to anyone and Anybody. Just that, I am disappointed to learn that the place which I used to Visit when I was a kid is no longer the same when I grew up to be an Adult.

We placed an online order through Zomato. We ordered "Aloo Kulcha Combo meal" which I must say was absolutely delicious. The quality, quantity and taste of everything was good.<br/>The combo had aloo kulcha, paneer kulcha with chole, raita , onion salad and pickled green chillies.<br/>I would definitely recommend this combo meal because it's not only fulfilling but pocket friendly and delicious too.<br/>The only suggestion that I'd like to give is that it would be a cherry on the cake if they provided spicy green chutney or onion chutney with the meal, since kulchas and chutney make an awesome combination.

Ordered veg pulao from here and was delivered with food containing ants and flies. I also visited the restaurant in person and found the kitchen in utterly unhygenic condition. Also the customer care service is not mannered. A totally negative experience.

It is just opposite to famous Sharma ji k chai in Lalbagh.<br/>The prices of the food are pocket friendly. And nice service also. If you want good food at not so high rate then thiss is place to go..Total desi vegeterian khana.. at ekdam sahi rates.... 😊😊

A nice place if you are really in need of good tasty food. The best part of this restaurant is that it is a pure veg . And the food taste great as it could get as well as the staff is also good. I love the shahi paneer and butter naan from here

The worst kind of food expected from a popular restaurant. I simply can't describe how disappointed I am. It was my first online food booking experience from Zomato and I trusted your restaurant with it. But I was met with sheer unsatisfaction. The food was not even of the standards of a local dhabba. The quantity was very less. But the quantity is not what left me fazed. The quantity can be compromised with but the quality cannot. The rates for the dishes is double of what it should have been, taking both the quality and quantity in consideration. I am sorry but your restaurant left a rather bad impression on my family and me. I'm sure I would have trouble recommending your restaurant to anybody in the future. We, the online users, might not be there to see our order being prepared but we do receive it. We are not fools. So I suggest you to not consider us of the mentioned category .
