Review John Hing Restaurant - Lucknow

Renuka Soni
I tried peking soup, veg chowmein and chilli chicken. The soup was good . Chowmein was not very nice it had a weird smoky taste to it ,you can get a better taste at many other cafes and chilli chicken was okay.overall the food was not worth the money but if you wanna try it out it's good to try once .And remember to take cash whenever you visit as they don't accept card or any other online payment options

Old world charm. Good food - some dishes are oily. Come here for the mutton chilly. Bring cash (they don't accept card or UPI). Loved the chow mein

My husband introduced me to Join Hing restaurant after I got married in 1982 , he is the regular customer before our marriage , my children also loved it, once you have the Chicken corn soup chaomean mutton chilly and chicken chili you will be addicted to it , we shifted to Kerala in 2002 but whenever we are in Lucknow we definitely have it , recently we are there and went to John Hing, You can understand how addicted we are , you will not get it anywhere else. We try to get parcel if we get the direct flight.

No doubt their food is good. Especially their mutton chicken crispy chili, chicken chowmein, fried rice but their staff's behavior is very rude, as if they know that the public will raise all their tantrums for their food, In today's date, where online payment is being given priority in the whole country Here the notice of denial of online payment has been pasted crying for connectivity, Now if you talk about the interiors and atmosphere here, you will feel that time has stopped here since the 90s 😄 With a single entrance Apart from this, there is no other ventilation overall, if you want to taste here, then either takeaway or contact a food delivery partner. बाकी राम राम 🙏🏻

The Chef must admit that one of the most authentic chilli dishes I have had in entire uttar pradesh, If you really like authentic oriental (yes Chinese is wrong) food then this is the place to be. Things are not very good though they are struggling to maintain their legacy but I hope they would do better. To be honest I didn't believe I would get the original chicken chilli recipe as followed by the ancient oriental delicacies. Yes it is dry, yes it may not contain the capsicum that much and yummy juicy n soft. Chef's best wishes.

It's a topical authentic Chinese restaurant where they serve the original Chinese taste. Their restaurant theme is based on China's traditional ambiance and good atmosphere family friendly must visit.

My go to place for authentic Chinese cuisine. Chilli Chicken here is possible the best you'll ever eat. So crunchy and flavorful untampered by tons of sauces. All those who're saying they've tasted better Chilli Chicken than this in street side stalls probably have sophistication only to appreciate street food😀
Vipin Thapa
My wife introduced this place to me. Been to this restaurant many times.. One of the best Chilli chicken in lucknow. The rest of the other Chinese items are good too . Chilli chicken n chilli mutton is a must try.
Yanina Chowdhury
A good place if you wanna grab some Chinese dishes. You also get pork here which is quite fascinating as it's very hard to find it in Lucknow. The taste can be better but the quantity is quite good. Also the service is good and the staff is well mannered and would help you out if you need any assistance.

I love the chinese food here. Highly recommend for genuine chinese food lovers!

Pretty decent if you ask me..sometime its the best..sometimes its not...i go there once every two months..the mutton chili and fry garlic mutton is the best in lko..i would definitely recommend you to check this place out..its one of the oldest restaurants in lko..the chowmein the fried rice and the soups are quite good too. Might be on the expensive side though .

The chicken was frozen, thawed out and seasoning missing. Big turn-off as I have been eating here since my childhood. Quality has deteriorated over the last few years.

“So as long as you have good food in your mouth, you have solved all problems for the time being.” Next eatery on our list which is unravelling the "KyaKhau" dilemma of Lucknowites is Jone Hing. Situated in Hazratganj, the heart of Lucknow is this notable Chinese eatery known for its phenomenal Indo-Chinese food for decades.

Beginning with the soups, we attempted their Chicken Sweet Corn and Veg Peking soup garnished with noodle crispies which was worth every penny spent. Both the soups were of optimum consistency and went well with a dash of vinegar. Moving on, is their legendary Chilly Chicken not much known but with awesome taste. The chicken was cooked to perfection, appropriately spiced and was superbly fresh with sauces and herbs. A half portion of the dish is satisfying for two grown-ups. It can be best had with Chicken Fried rice, however, we suggest less use of oil.

Other favorites of the place are dishes like Hot and Sour Soup, Mutton Chilly and Spring Rolls. We additionally attempted their noodles which wasn’t in any way great, being thick and too much greasy.

One of the most major drawback of the joint is their overpriced menu considering the below average service and off-putting ambiance which can easily creep out anybody. Despite the heavy-on-pocket meal the restaurant does not refrain from serving pumpkin ketchup and untidy salt-pepper holders. Moreover, in this digital era they only accept cash payment.

We would not suggest this restaurant for a wholesome dinner yet worth a go to satisfy your craving for some good lip-smacking Chicken Chilly.

Please follow @thefoodicators on instagram and facebook for more F&B suggestions.

Have been going to this place for the past 20 years now. One of the best places to eat at, if you want authentic Chinese food. It's run by second-generation Chinese.

This place is about one thing only. Food. Awesome food. Not fancy. Not over the top. Just plain old, good clean food. Though I haven't been living in Lucknow for almost 15 years now, I always make it a point to go here whenever I visit.

Service is quick and efficient, food awesome (must have Mutton chilli no matter what), ambience - who cares?!

Go here for great food.
Thetrottingtongue
Located near Moti Mahal, Hazratganj, this place serves delicious food. Enough sitting arrangement.
We ordered for Chinese Choupsey and Spring rolls.
The choupsey couldnt have been any better. It tasted delicious with all the crispiness and the crunchiness.
The springs rolls were are good. But the problem with them is they take time for preparation. We almost had to wait for around 45mins for the spring rolls.

This place has my heart. This is the one of those Chinese restaurants which are known for their authentic cuisine. The Chilli Chicken dry that they serve you here is insanely tasty. You have my word for that. I have deducted the 1 star just for the ambience because you get those somewhat shady and creepy kind of vibes in here. Otherwise, their Chilli chicken is to die for. Rest of the items in their menu are okayish.

Heaven for chinese cuisine lovers, ambience is so chinese that you can't even find in china.laslty don't get confused while entering, it's not only a beauty parlour!

Set in the iconic Hazratganj is the Jone Hing Chinese Restaurant which is as iconic as the location itself.I have been coming here since my childhood and let me assure you nothing has changed as in the taste and method of cooking and that is the good thing. The legend is Mutton Chillies which is still very popular amongst its patrons.
Saif Ali
For those who want complete chinese ethnic ambience, I reiterate complete chinese ambience! No doubt food is up to the mark. Service is good as well, must visit place with family, friends.

Mutton chilli and chicken fried rice are best dishes of this restaurant. I'm their regular customer bcc I'm in love with their mutton chilli.
It's a Chinese restaurant and has a peaceful and soothing ambience.

So we recently visited this Chinese Restaurant of very eccentric name which is "JONE HING" located in hazratganj.

Ambience: Place is very inadequate.
There sitting arrangement is just fine but not something special as other restaurant

Coming to the food:
We came here for there appetizing soups. Tried peking soup which was good in taste and make us remember our home taste.

I will recommend you to visit for their delicious soups. I think they need to improve more in their place and food well so that people will love to come there to enjoy their amazing chinese food.❤

Since childhood we have relished mutton chilly from this place and it’s been over 3 decades and it still takes me down the memory lane each time I have it.
Anil Minz
Taste was quite good. Pls have more interaction with customers. I know it’s hard in this part of world to act sophisticated. But any how improve. See u again.
Anindita Banerjee
I've been visiting the place for the past 25 years or more. I keep going back for the taste. I haven't found chilly chicken like Jone Hing's anywhere else. I've deducted one star as this place is not moving with the times. They still do not accept orders online ( through various food delivery apps ). However I will definitely recommend the place to those who like Chinese food.
Ridhima Kalra
I have been eating at this restaurant since I was a child. This place has gone through a lot of ups & downs regardless of that I have never had better MUTTON CHILLI anywhere else. Nobody makes mutton chilli as they do. Must try!!
Sanaviya Fareed
I have been here with my family chasing a good chinese food.. And guess what as the name suggests the place is really good for chinese food items! Love the chinese food here.

Jone hing is a dim lighted desi Chinese restaurant in main Hazratganj. Their menu is extensive but mainly everything is pretty similar.
The service is okay, not too fast and not too slow. The ambience is dim, with crowd bustling in at all times, the decor is hanging lanterns, dragon murals, laughing Buddha statue and paintings.
I ordered their Chicken Yee Foo Mein, Chicken Peking soup, Chilli Chicken. The yee Foo Mein is a Noodle dish usually made with flat egg noodles but their chefs had just tossed usual chowmein noodles. Also, the yee Foo Mein wasn't exactly appetizing looking, let alone to eat. I had a few bites and got the rest of it packed. The Peking soup was tasteless with a few undertones of multiple sauces but no salt or even sugar.
The chilli chicken was decent, the chicken was crunchy and tossed into the sauce.
I hope they serve better food in the future, but I would definitely recommend you to try the chilli chicken and chilli mutton.

For me it was love at first sight. Reminded me of my hometown- Bombay, with its sober and traditional yet unique and homely vibe! It is a pretty old restaurant and based out of hazratganj, and Jone Hing fits superbly into the what I’d describe as the place I’d never say no to. The ambience made me comfortable!

I just had the Manchow soup and Mutton chilly and felt both were excellent value for money. The portion size was huge!

Everything about this place is downright simple, with the focus being the taste, and only taste. I’d take that any day over the extra bucks I normally shell out at fancy places. JH is pure value for money!

I’m definitely visiting this place again to try the main course.

PS- I am surprised this place is rated 3.7 as a write the review. To the people of Lucknow- what is wrong with you??

One of the oldest and one of the best Chinese food restaurant in town... would agree the restaurant is a bit dark to my liking.. but hey what stops a foodie from trying new things...
But no doubt the place serves one of the best dry Chili chicken in town teamed up with an awesome fried rice...

Atishree.upreti
The food no doubt has always been my favourite in spite of so many Chinese restaurants but yes they really need to do something about the interiors. The stars given is simply for food.
Abhijeet Gupta
This is the best Chinese restaurant in Lucknow, if you want to try the best and original chinese food in Lucknow then this is the best place or the right place for you, the chinese food here is made by professional chefs, I would recommend this restaurant.
Siddharth Mann
Had come here on a friend's recommendation but we changed our mind after first course itself. While the soup we had was decent enough but it seems the interior and structure of restaurant has given up totally. I am sure if the owners focus on maintainance and upkeep, it will brighten up the dining experience for sure.

One of the oldest Chinese restaurants .Servings are good quantity n taste is OK as well . been visiting this place since childhood. They also serve pork dishes as well!!
Sandeep Awasthi
The only place to get authentic Mutton chilly which is their USP. Must for every non vegetarian. They need to improve on ambience and cutlery.
Ajay Narayan
The place is reminiscent of a typical shady Chinese bistro. Can be easily spotted by the pedestrian pavement in Hazratganj. We visited towards the evening. The service is slow. Food makes up for it; it is on the spicier side. Their Chilly Chicken and Chilly Mutton deserve a mention. Noodles was kinda bland. It's a strictly Chinese restaurant, so you won't find bread here. I didn't quite like the ambiance but, yes, liked the food.
Ibad Hanif
I do know the fact that the Avadhi cuisine impacted West Bengal & east Bengal food but I have not seen any reference of their influence on the food patterns in lko. This eatery just goes to say that they certainly had an impact.

The place is in ganj a wee inside but approachable as this is in a happening zone.
The ambience is just perfect in the lgf but lit like a typical Chinese eatery.

The food is great and the service is good. If one is tired of having avadhi this is the place to be.
I like the soups the chopsey cos u really don’t get this in ncr.
The chicken lollipops are worth trying.

The verdict
Please don’t miss this it’s a hidden treasure.
Abhinav Choudhary
Its not a place of comfort or ambience as others wrote in review.
Its one of the oldest chinese restaurant of the city.
Its favorite mutton chillies is well known which you will never get at any other place in the city.
I vote for its taste!!!!! 😋

Ordered chilly mutton balls yesterday to my surprise received mutton balls with green chilli pieces that’s it. The balls were so hard to chew. Do not expect this from a pure Chinese restaurant

Today afternoon went to one of the oldest chinese restaurant of Lucknow. Tried there best we loved when we were kids chow mein n veg chilli decades back. Nothing to say except that this place was one of the best at its prime, now it's not even the shadow of it.

THAI Food !

Here's some Thai(Thailand) food for you guys.
Thai Red Dragon Curry - This is a popular Thai dish consisting of red curry paste cooked in coconut milk with veggies according to your preference (Whether its is meat ball chunks or fine chopped vegerables).
It's a bit on the spicier side of your taste buds as you could collect from its name i.e. dragon curry.

It was told to me that it is the oldest Chinese outlet in the neighbourhood. But nothing like what I heard.Staff was too lazy to get up from there places,to serve food in a tray. Its regular food joint.Expensive as compared to interior service and food quality. Not at all recommended.
Kritika
I have been visiting this place since my childhood like my mother and aunts who had been coming here from their childhood. The food is super awesome. Chilli chicken is to die for, it’s just delicious. Jone hing is worth a visit if you want to gorge on amazing Chinese food at very cheap costs. Jone hing is my favourite from the last 25 years. 👍🏻👍🏻😃

I visited this place for dinner once and I left within 10 minutes
Ambience of this place is like a secret Chinese mob hideout , shady.
It took the waiter so long to get water and the menu that we left.
Anyway I had read a lot of good reviews about their mutton chilly being the best in town , so after a few days I ordered mutton chilly for a pick up ( they don’t have delivery)
Food- Mutton chilly boneless : probably the worst I’ve ever had , the mutton was so hard more like cornflour n no actual piece, it was tasteless.
It costs 340 bucks so I wasn’t gonna throw it , I had to make the entire gravy again at home n cook the pieces in it for it to be edible!!

Ambience - 1/5
Food - 1/5
Value for Money - 0/5

P. S . - I usually don’t say such harsh words about a place but this is the limit . I will never visit this place again and recommend you guys also to avoid it .
Ashnil Tripathi Ayushi Gupta Prateek Yadav

One of the oldest Chinese food outlet. It serves some really delicious delicacies. Mutton chilly dry is a pure savour to the taste buds. It's noodles are fresh and hot. The service is good and friendly. The place is worth a try when in Lucknow.

Nice place... Do try chicken and mutton chilli dry... Delicious food.... Friendly staff... Do try once
The place is pocket friendly too... Not too hard to miss as it is in prime location at hazratganj

It’s has been here for sometime now ..food is good when you eat there avoid packing it ruins the taste .
Pork chilly is good so is the rice/noodles .
Ritesh Kumar
Same as usual nothing so chinese-y about you, but the food was delicious no doubt about that. And for that matter cheap too. Good freindy staff. Nice location.
Keshvir Singh
The hospitality was worst in this restaurant .The owner misbehaved with the girls in my group. They use local cheap food indegrients as preservatives for their food. The owner argued very badly with us and he even humilates his waiters. The whole staff including the owner and waiters were drunk
Ankur Katiyar
Prime location. Food is average. I had heard that they are serving the best Chinese in Lucknow but they didn't come up to my expectations. Service is good.
Akashyadav0357
Have been eating in this restaurant from more than 5years ,there chicken picking soup, mutton chilli and fried rice n noodles were damn good but from last 2-3 times there food is not having that same flavor, taste.now I m done with this place .u can go there for normal Chinese food nothing special. average ambiance and price
Leena Ma

Yum yum chinese.

Loved their chilly mutton, sweet corn soup and chilli garlic noodles. The place serves quick chinese but beware!!too spicy.Avoid the green chillies as they are too bitter.

Meal for 2: ₹1000/-

Seating: too low but comfortable

The place can get better washroom as the washroom is too low lit and looks shabby. However a greta place to enjoy chinese
I loved the chilli chicken. And the chowmein of course. The service was also okay. I actually am usually more interested in food so it is more important for me. Do try!

Jude, the owner of JONE HING or the NEW JONE HING restaurant as its being called as these days..is a dear family friend who whenever i'm in the city invites us to his place. It's been years now that whenever we develop craving for chinese cuisine, this is the very first place that comes to our minds... since Jude has been associated with alot of chinese stuff lately.

The ambience of the restaurant just adds to the eating experience at the place. Coming back to the cuisine, my top 3 picks and something that i would highly recommend would be -
1. Crispy chicken chilly, the iconic dish of the Jone Hing's.
2. Chicken Hakka Noodles
3. Chicken American Chopsuey.

These three are a must have on every non vegetarian's tables.

The chicken chilly deep fried in chicken skin and fat clearly gets a 5 star rating from my side and overall the experience and the food at this place gets a hands down 4 star rating.

I know it would be weird to associate Lucknow with chinese cuisine, but this restaurant is Highly recommended when in Lucknow. Must visit the place atleast once when in the city.
Avantika Paul
Even though relatively heavier on the pocket, they serve the most authentic Chinese cuisine at this price! This place has been a favourite for years now. Even the most basic of the dishes like the chicken noodles are to die for. No better option for those Chinese food cravings that spring out of nowhere! :D
Indrani Majumdar
Authentic Chinese with quality served on platter .... they serve huge quantities of food which can suffice all your cravings for Chinese.. the chilli chicken is a must try along with Yee Fein mein ei a chinese noodles dish with a bit of gravy n is lip smacking... Affordable and highly recommend
Kanishk Kashyap
one of the best place to eat authentic Chinese
great taste
old Chinese feeling
place also offers pork for those who love it
the one I've been going to since my childhood
do try the soup :)
Dr Nirmal Chourasia
Nice attractive name.. But the food served here dint give the taste of pure Chinese cuisine.. It somewhere lacked that original flavor of Chinese cuisine... Service was good.. Ambiance is also also good..
Rajat Kumar Barik
The place feels a bit sketchy....may be because its too old....the chinese food here is f9..nthing special...the amount is enormous ..and so is the cost...chowmein..manchurian ..all are good, but less spicy and zingy....i miss that in a chinese food item...u can skip this restaurant altogether..☺️
Mohhmaya
It's a small and cosy casual dine. Food is nice but a bit overpriced. Services are prompt and the staff is friendly. The interior of the place takes you to some old Chinese cafe!
Vaibhav Gulati
Authentic Chinese Restaurant

Had chilli chicken dry.

Unlike desi chinese restaurants that add capsicum, onion and gravy to add to the quantity.
They serve you true chilli chicken with superb taste.
Monika Bhardwaj
The place was bad. They served us with Veg soup in the name of Manchow. Even the chicken chili was like a bowl of stones. Overall the place was really disappointing. Suggest you go to a better place with the money you are going to spend here.
Bushra Hasan
A very old place which has been in Lucknow for so long now. Located at hazratganj; people can easily link this place with their child hood memories. The only place which serves Chinjabi food. The mix of chinese and punjabi taste.
The must have is lamb, chowmein and chicken munchurian.
Vaibhav Arora
One of the oldest places in town famous for its Chinese food, the place still looks dingy and on and off you will find UFO but with all of this makes its own charm!
Sid Khullar
This restaurant in Hazratganj has awful food, bad service, tacky interiors, no amenities. I really really tried to finish my food, but couldn't.
Seema Chandra
The food quality is ok, price seems too high. its so tacky inside with tables placed closely without much space. Interiors is bad and smells strange, Note to all the people if you wish to use their loo beware thats too dirty you might vomit as soon as you will open the door.
Hans
This is absolutely a must-visit for all food lovers. Nicely cooked food ! Especially, their 'Mutton chilly chow chow' is what I love the most. Ambience is very peaceful. This is one of the oldest & best of Ganj. ★★★★✩

Went there 2-3 days ago with my family. We had talumein soup‚ egg fried rice ‚ egg noodles n chicken manchurian ( dry n gravy both). The food was pretty good. The soup was nice but it had more noodles than vegetables. Gravy as well as dry manchurian was good. Noodles were nice but the rice was just ok.
What I didn't like about the place was the ambience. Waiters drenched in sweat‚ really bad cutlery‚ torn table cloth‚ no swipe machine and finger bowl. If you're charging 300 for a plate of Manchurian then please at least provide a better ambience. I'm not sure if I'll go there again or not. There are better places that have better food at a lesser cost. But u can try it out if u want to have some peace.
PS I really likes the wooden walls.
Joy Chatterjee
New Jone Hing reads the name overhead. What's new about it, we shall never know.
It has always been an age old restaurant, perhaps the oldest Chinese one in Lucknow.
The ambience, decor & lighting could definitely do with some uplifting, altho this is how restaurants in China appear to be, people have said. But we are in India & such things do matter to us here.
That having been said, a quaint, nice place for authentic, well prepared, tasty, generous helpings of Cantonese cuisine. Their Mutton chilli is rated high and I do enjoy their Chicken Hong kong, Singapore Chowmein, Chicken chilli garlic noodles, Special chow chow & Chicken garlic sauce as well.
Perhaps, after raising their prices of late, they could attend to their interiors somewhat.
Saba
As soon as I stepped foot inside this restaurant, I knew this wasn't the best place for food as there were hardly any people eating. My order comprised of regular veg Chinese and it was beyond dreadful. Moreover, my health went bad a night after. I seriously don't know how have they even survived their bills so long.
Word of advice--don't you waste your time or money in here. Complete turndown!
Triya Maria Medley
I have been visiting this place since my childhood. It's never disappointed me! Service is a little slow but the quality of food is amazing- most authentic Chinese!
Asma Asif
This was my second visit to this place first one being 4,5 years back. I had really high hopes for this place but it didn't fulfill any of my expectations. Bad ambience bad food. Would never suggest this place. A big NO
Varun Srivastava
Totally authentic Chinese resto.... Has quite lost.its revelance in hazratganj.... But still maintains the taste.... I Will keep on visiting it...
Sameep Agarwal
I have been visiting here for past 25 years and there is no change in taste. Though a few times the quality was an issue but the owner gracefully accepted it and rectified it immediately. Ambience is not that good, who cares if the food tastes authentic and good.
Nusayba Nafisa
Wow!!! What a nice making!!!!! good!!!!!
Very poor quality of service, with no consideration for customer's satisfaction.. Have had two bad experiences.. 2 weeks back, had ordered the dish on phone, and reaching at the said time to collect the food, it was unprepared, and had to wait for another 30 minutes.. In another case, ordered Mutton Chilli (Crispy), and because of my blind faith on the restaurant's reputation, took it straight to my home, and when opened the packet, to my utter surprising disappointment, found a soggy preparation, with less quantity..
Sukanya Mitra
This has been one of my favorite outlets for Chinese food since the childhood. These people serve you authentic chinese food although the service is slow but the food is really good . They could lighten up the ambiance of the restaurant and put in some air conditioners.
@Imfoodie
I have childhood memories with this place.. Their chicken chilly and chicken Hakka noodles are to die for.... Can close eyes and eat here anyday
Sankalp Gupta
if you are a fan of indo-chinese food and like quiet and soothing ambience this is the place. both veg and non veg dishes are good but me being a chicken lover would place it on top.

Lucknow is the city of Nawabs.Alongwith the culture, tradition and architecture,Nawabi food became world famous from Lucknow. However like all cities of India, Lucknowites have a big craze for Chinese food as well.
In the past there were some famous Chinese restaurants in the city which served good chinese stuff. As a kid the first name that comes to my mind is Jone Hing. This small but arguably the most
authentic Chinese restaurant is situated in the heart of Hazratganj-the main market of Lucknow. It is run by Chinese people and so one is assured of the correct taste and blend of the dishes. A confusion which was there for me as a kid was whether I should have Chilly Chicken or Mutton Chilly.
When we grew up a little,Jonehing was still the most famous Chinese hangout in the city.I have lost track of the number of times Dad used to take us there for dinner on Saturdays. However after say 1988 the craze for Jone hing was reduced. The reason was the quality had dropped and some better Chinese restaurants had come up. I restarted going Jone-Hing was in April 2011 after a gap of almost 18 years. After that we still remained in contact with it as the cook and staff was called at home for some parties .The food was back to its original taste. In the late 90's due to the opening of Kool Break, our contact with Jone Hing became minimum. It was in news last year for the wrong reason of raid and all that. However, the restaurant has re-opened after few days and what i heard from a lot of people that after a low phase Jone Hing has again regained its old glory.

The soups are special, however I must say that the Chicken soups are much better here than the vegetarian ones.Chicken sweet Corn and Chicken Hot and Sour are the favourites. One can munch on the lovely spring rolls for starters. The spring rolls are equally good even if u have the vegetarian ones. For the main course Chowmein and Noodles are still the favourite. The taste, blend and look are just so yummy. However for the side dish there is a lot of controversy(just joking).Chilly Chicken and Mutton Chilli are 2 dishes to die for in Jone Hing. They are just too good. However Mutton Chilli is more crisp than Chicken. So one can order accordingly.Mutton Chiili dry is better whereas Chilli chicken is betterwith gravy.

Jonehing has slightly dim lighting as compared to some other restaurants but the ambience is just perfect for a chinese meal. American Coupsey is another perrenial favourite. The red gravy and crsipy fried noodles make it class apart. As in most places the chicken choupsey is served with a fried egg on the top.The Chinese Choupsey has a greenish thick gravy and is equally good. The portions are good .
I firmly recommend JoneHing to all the chinese lovers, though nowadays I would recommend that you get the food packed and have it at home as some people will not like the dim interior!!

If u have possession for Chinese food then this is ur..love
Cheap and best.
From soup to main course it is superb and the most important thing is the feel of china is all over in the restaurant
Suchi
Looks shady and I had been apprehensive about going in this place for a couple of years but finally gathered the courage to go for it. The food was worth it. Don't expect anything else though. Cheap good chinese food is all.
Rishul Mathur
Jone Hing's my love.....although I live in delhi but there's no chance of getting tastier CHICKEN CHILIES AND CHILLI MUTTON DRY anywhere else in the whole big world. Hats off to the lovely taste and consistency. I fall short of words ro describe how tasty and finger-lickin their stuff is !!!
Geoffrey Fernandez
People may argue that other restaurants across town may serve better chinese, but trust me on this one, if it is food that drives you, then this is your place. The prices have gone up recently, but still this place is very cost effective.
Their Mutton Chilli is one of my favorite dishes, crisp and delicious.
Tulika Ruth Lal
Remarkble! This is the word i would i like to address the restaurant with the offering of food it has to give on the plate. scrupmtious are its delicacies and I think I'v ebben there so many times that the menu and food are in the back of my head. Still it doesnt stop me to visit Jone Hing any given day to taste the amazing pork chilli anf noodles or peking soup (Chicken), or the fried rice.

The owners are abosoultly amazing people and extremly courteous and wonderful.
Been privileged with their company and I thin with everything that they offer with servcies to the food they do deserve a 5 .
Naved Ameen
Their kitchen is so horrible. Food dept sealed their reataurant.
Dirtiest kitchen.
Rima Kisku
Nice surroundings nice chinese food to eat
But the water they provide is wierd in taste..you have to buy a bottle but thats ok with the food...must give a visit in lucknow ;)
UT_91
I'm only rating it on the basis of the mind blowing Chinese that you get here ! The food has always been awesome ever since this restaurant has been there..the best thing about the food is mutton chilly and this is indeed the best mutton chilly that you'll get in Lucknow ! The food is cheap and service is good..But the biggest turn off is the cleanliness and hygiene.. It's very messy ! And take away is always the best option in this place as you won't like to dine in because of that !

The FooFoo
May I start by saying that the Mr. FooFoo's (my husband) family has such a long standing history with this restaurant, it's amazing! This restaurant goes back at least 25 years (approx.). This is where Mr. FooFoo's parents dated back in the day and this is where all his trips to Lucknow came to stupendous climax on his family visits.

One of the first test I had to pass to be his soulmate for life was to see if I like their mutton chilly. I still remember how he held his breath to guage my reaction. Thankfully, I loved it. I've never tasted somehting quite like that and its not like your regular lamb chilly you get in usual chinese restaurants.

Some of the noteworthy dishes I had was: Hot & Sour Soup, Chilly Garlic Chicken Noodles, Egg Fried Rice & Mutton Chilly. Though not exceptional it's good food. Will satiate, no doubt! More than anything this is FooFoo family ritual on our trips to Lucknow!
