Review The Yellow Chilli (sarabha Nagar) - Ludhiana

The restaurant by Sanjeev Kapoor. Had almost all of his special dishes there. It was a family dinner we went for. Ambiance wise it was damn good. They had live singer too. Food tasted damn well and too much mouthwatering. The portion food was good. The manager came to us to ask if we needed anything. It was altogether a very great night with good food.

We had a lunch here.. two options are available buffet and à la carte.. we had their signature dishes mussa dal and sham savera, bread was peshawari naan, butter naan and lasooni naan. I must say that the food was finger licking.. bread was very soft well cooked. Peshawari naan and sham savera must try items.. must visit once..

Excellent Hall . Approach from the lift is not good . Some flowers , pots and decoration needs to be put up for a more inviting look . The deserted feeling starts there . The starters were excellent and so was the service . Syp don’t see any excitement in the desserts .

My favourite restaurant... Taste wise awesome. live music and candle light make it a perfect visit. A bit pricey but the price is justified with a big name of masterchef Sanjeev Kapoor. Make reservation prior because in dining hours this place is always very crowded.

If in Ludhiana dont just miss it. I got introduced to yellow chilli restaurants by Sanjeev Kapoor in LDH first time and i became fan of this place. Been there multiple times. Try shorba (soup), have any thing in starter but dont leave amritsari tikka (am vegan), and wind up with kulfi or ice cream. They are just good at everything. And yes Afgani or garlic Nan is a must try.....they have marked few dishes as chef spl. I make sure to try each of them on every subsequent visit. Good for family and friends. Rates .... 7/10

Food and service are good but there are two things that are annoying about tha atmosphere one is the loud cheers of kitty party and sometimes singers performing live music become object of disturbance

Very good variety and taste of food. Moga chicken is a must try, not different in taste (gravy) than usual butter or any gravy chicken but chicken pieces tasted very nice. Their mango and ginger pickle is one must try. They should start commercialising this pickle.

We never visit nonveg - veg (mix) restaurants,other den in navratra dats too for navratra food. The Railway mutton was super delicious. The meat was very tender and juicy. The aloo nazaakat had a great flavor to it as well. I would recommend the yellow chilli to anyone who is longing for some great indian food.

We never expected such food from yellow chilly. We went there yesterday as they invited us to celebrate my dadz birthday with a complimentary cake. The food was really bad . Honey chilly potato was full of oil and we ordered rarha chicken that did not have any taste and they replaced it with butter chicken that was even worse. <br/>The complimentary cake did not seem fresh :( <br/>Price doesnt match the quantity, ambience and taste<br/>Worst experience ever :(

Possibly it's in the list of Ludhiana's early elite restaurants, including Maharaja, Colonel's cabin, indian summer etc. Expecting the standard maintaimed to have been maintained, I gave it a visit recently, ordered some snacks and beverages. I was a little disappointed with the quality. Maybe my expectations were more, after having tried many other restros in the city. But they definitely need some improvement with the ambience and food style, if they want to compete with other brands in the city.

Service was below average dat too in d afternoon nd even d comman things were nt available like tarter sauce nd if asked for sweedish. It's always a five star experience visiting here. Ambience and quality of food is great. We availed 4 zomato gold memberships here. Food to must try -veg platter and tripple. Main course dal makhani tastes really good.<br/>Go for lalla mussa dal,it's got smoky taste.<br/>

Staff was very RUDE. They first took the zomato gold membership coupon and then said we will not pack leftovers. Last week i went there and they were totally fine to pack the leftover. Went to yellow chillies after a long time but this time with a Zomato gold membership. Since the restaurant had no tables available they said we can serve the same food if we sat at hotbreads which is right below. But after we enquired about Zomato gold they denied. I guess I should have read the reviews. Zomato look into this and if they don't serve gold members remove their name and stop wasting our time!!

A very average and overhyped place . Went late at around 11 PM. Food was average. Signature Dal makhani is okay . Long wait times . The signature murabba was not kept . Food for four was about 2300/- . Can improve .

Refused to honour gold membership. They saw the zomato code, took order and after sometime refused to accept zomato offer saying that they are now not part of zomato. Tried to connect zomato from my phone but they called back only after 20 minutes and asked to wait but never called back again. After two hours I again called zomato and they said my phone was out of coverage area. Very disappointing.

Pathetic experience. What they serve in the name of fine dine is the worst food you can find in the city. And the service staff is ignorant, if not altogether indifferent.

I love their lalla mussa dal and red achari chatni which is complementary.<br/><br/>My experience used to be awesome but maybe this time i used my Zomato Gold, and staff treatment was not that good as it used to be. Especially the person serving on our table seems to be unprofessional.<br/><br/>Also at end when we completed our food... there was one dish which was 30% left over. Today I went with my wife for first time at this place in Ludhiana.<br/>Now let's come to food which I ordered for which the bill is attached.<br/>Tulsi tamatar ka shorba which was without tulsi was served mildly hot even one can say it was served cold as it was soup which we asked the staff to get the same reheated again and was served hot later.<br/>Then the masala papad with pindi was very good and so was nizami sabz biryani and dhaba dal amritsari. Even the biryani was served with chatni and dahi which was delicious. But then why am I rating just 2 stars?<br/>Well I recently became gold member of zomato after paying Rs.1200 and first time used my Gold membership by asking for 1+1 deal. But sorry to say The Yellow Chili was not accommodating to Zomato Gold members. After I was finished with dinner , handful of biryani and half of Dal which I ordered was left as leftovers.<br/>I requested staff , please pack the leftover biryani and Dal as it is not ok to waste which they first refused saying that under Zomato Gold members it's not allowed. He also said that food is already paid for but they cannot allow under Zomato and I simply said it will be wasted and then I said ok and waiter left.But I got confused and so read the rules which said it is at the discretion of restaurant partner and it's not a Zomato policy if you have ordered through it.<br/>So I asked for a bill from a different staff and asked again to repack and after his initial hesitation informed him that it's at your discretion, so don't quote Zomato that it's there policy.<br/>He called his supervisor who also refused and told they allow regular members but not Zomato gold members . I asked why to which he said people order extra i.e. in 1+1 they intentionally leave food and take home the leftover food.Since the music was good , so I kept my calm and didn't replied further because as per him everyone is like that.<br/>This attitude and judgement to a customer whose intention is just not to waste food. I would have given the same to some beggar outside or whatever I would have done with it.<br/>So what does The Yellow Chilli would have done with my leftovers, they would have definitely served to other customers. I am definitely sure.<br/>Just a Rs.300 Dal (free under 1+1) and staff of The Yellow Chili says that Zomato Gold members are free loaders who have paid for there membership in advance.<br/>I had a good experience with The Yellow Chili Bathinda as it was a friend's friend place and it was a 5 star experience and hence I tried Ludhiana one but I am definitely never visiting this place ever again.<br/>Moreover I would request Zomato to cancel partnership with The Yellow Chili Ludhiana because of their sick attitude towards their customers.<br/>

It is a nice family restaurant where you will get authentic Indian food which will have all the spices and elements that you will never forget, but there is one area where improvement can be done and that is ambience. It is like any other family restaurant and during my stay the manager kept playing old 80's songs that made me feel that I am back in my childhood. 4 Stars from my side.<br/><br/>
