So on our professional visit to Ludhiana we explored the very famous Basant Restaurant. When we reached on a Saturday evening we had to wait for 45 min and I heard that’s a norm even on weekdays also
1. Food was amazing
2. We had mix veg, dal makhni, malai chaamp, masala dosa.
3. Chaamp just melted in mouth and it was delicious and soft
4. Dosa was tasty and we ended up eating two together.
5. Must visit for any meal and follow it with their ice cream chain may b at same place or ice cream studio/ master

Basant is one of the best family restaurants in Ludhiana. I have been to many places but I haven't seen any restaurant which cooks everything delicious. It has a very cozy ambience as well. Good for couples and families as well. And prices are not that High. I would highly recommend that whoever visits ludhiyana should also visit basant restaurant as well.

If you want some ice cream and sweets, this place is for you, it has the best ice cream fudge hot Chocolate. Their fruit cream was also good. Their food is also good especially their dal makhani, butter roti and paneer sabzi.. There is one negative point is sitting space, it's small and less spacious minimum tables because of this you have to wait for your turn and their service is slow so you have to be patient. The overall experience there was nice...

A good place in the heart of the city. The food and the service were good. I generally avoid the places downtown because of congestion. The only thing lacking was that there is no parking around which causes a little inconvenience. I will recommend this place mainly because of good food.

I recommend you to go there and take family members.
All Basant Outlets were kids and family restaurant they were well maintained and hygienic.

We had one of the best times here during our kitty. Teh food was sumptuous and the quantity was much more than expected. The prompt service made it all the more better.
There was a bill-glitch which was sorted within a few minutes. The parking facility is provided. It was raining cats and dogs but the guards made sure that they escorted each and every person entering the restaurant.

Today, I was here for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. We ordered Kadai Paneer and Dal Makhni which was do delicious and yummy. The ambience was so good, while the service and staff was nice. This place is liked by many people, as there was a lot of crowd. So, if you wanna enjoy your Sundays here, then watch out, you may have to go to 2nd or may be 3rd floor. Adding into, Basant has been a famous one from many years, and by visiting here, you could experience it by yourself!! Do visit if you haven't visited yet!! Amazing flavours and options available here.All kind of smoothies, ice creams, shakes, sundae with huge variety.Other than ice creams, Noodles are mouth watering and food is also good. Decent place to dine out with family and friends.

In the time of coronavirus, Basant is not following any proper sanitation. The waiters were not following any safety measure no gloves no proper masks, people inside hall were more than 25 at a time no social distancing.tables were not getting sanitized once used. There were no sanitizers inside the restaurant or on any table . <br/>

Basant fountain chowk is a fraud. The food they are providing on Zomato is worst than any rehri shop. I have been there numerous times.. the food they provided while dine in is superb but on zomato it is just like any local rehri wala. I believe they have separate kitchen for Zomato orders. No wonder why they are offering big discounts. Pathetic 👎🏻👎🏻

Yesterday I ordered manchurian and cheese chilli from the restaurant, both the things are my usual.<br/>I specially mentioned gravy for both the dishes as there was no option for that in the menu.<br/>I even called them up to tell them about this. They said we’ll make it, just mention it too. I said I’ve already mentioned. And what I got was both the things were dry not much pleasing to have in dinner.<br/>This response was highly disappointing.

I recently ordered 2 masala dosas from basant. After recieving the order, Iooked at the packaging and it didn't appear to be anything from Basant. I have eaten from this place previously and my experience has been great. But the masala dosas I received were not up to the quality that they provide. It seemed like the food was from some other place. Food was so low quality that I am pretty sure it wasn't from Basant. Feeling cheated. There was no evidence to proof that the food was from the restaurant.

I wont go any further to comment about the quality of the food or the place but a place which cannot serve you water and only has an option to serve mineral water is not worth visiting.. it's just against the very ethos of hospitality sector.. you cant serve guests water to drink, then how can we expect anything else.<br/>I wish had an option of 0 rating for places such as these.

Though food quality is good. We ordered 2 chilli garlic noodles and one veg Manchurian. We paid the requisite amount for the same to the delivery boy. But were shocked to find that the delivery parcel contained only 2 boxes. One had veg haka noodles and other veg Manchurian. We complained to zomato also but to no avail. None picked up phone at Basant even after number of calls. Sorry to say it reflects badly about the service rendered ...And the after sale service

Basant is one of the oldest restaurant of Ludhiana and we are visiting Basant from almost 15 to 20 years. The food is very good. I have noticed that the restaurant gives quality food when you eats at restaurant banque but serves poor quality low grade food when ordered from zomato.<br/>My last 3/4 experience from the restaurant were very bad restaurant served half cooked dosa and thaali.<br/>This only during ordered from zomato.<br/>

Don't order anything from them in which there's cheese ... All they do is put paneer in the dish . I have ordered maha cheese burger and cheese corn roll .. They just put paneer in place of cheese in it. Someone needs to tell them the difference between cheese and cottage cheese (ie. Paneer) ..<br/><br/>So , order anything else all other things are good there.
