Review Baba's Veg And Non Veg - Ludhiana

We ordered butter chicken and the serving was enough for three people. The taste of the gravy was different compared to all the other gravies of butter chicken I have tasted over the years. Not spicy and not sweet . Not very red with added color but a light orangish shade and delicious. Service- Good Ambience- Very decent Prices- Affordable

Stopped at Baba's for lunch at around 2.30pm on Monday. It was quite empty... But it was full by 3pm. Had a similar experience last year too. Guess people eat a late lunch in Ludhiana! ;-) Three places was recommended by a close friend who is originally from Ludhiana. Apparently it is a very famous local restaurant. The food quality and service is pretty good! There seem to be a lot more Baba's chicken places in Ludhiana, also saw one at Mohali. Not sure if they are all genuine. But this one is the original one!! Definitely worth a stop. Cheers!

The food & service was good. It was a proper Punjabi food. One thing I felt is the quantity they serve is not justifiable by the price they charge. Other thing I would like to point out is the Tip/Service Charge, which totally depends on the Customer and they should not be compelled to pay. Water Bottle which should be charged on MRP as per law is charged beyond MRP. Overall the taste of food was good.

Food quality 👍, price very high and service v poor. Ate black pepper chicken, veg biryani, ice cream, tandoori lacha roti, etc. Much spicy food, sitting environment was very good, spend precious time with family. Also, order through Zomato. A great experience dinner at BABA chicken 🐔 😋 😊 😀.

Good place to eat non veg food, butter chicken is a very different flavor nd color to what u would regularly eat so must try. Visiting Ludhiana, should visit this place of u crave for mughlai food Best place to eat for chicken lovers. Loved kaali mirch tikka, fish tikka, Baba special butter chicken and mutton roganjosh..Food is as usual great but the service standards is something which really needs a lift. Baba Chicken is a renowned name in Hotel Industry. They have 3 Branches in Ludhiana. Yesterday we visited their Shastri Nagar Model Town branch which is according to me their best . They have 3 floors with lift and velle parking. This was second time time we were there. Restaurant ambience is quite good. Washroom clean. We ordered Palak Nagar Paneer , Baba Spl Butter Chicken, Keema Mutton and Chicken Biryani. Chicken Biryani and Keema Mutton was best . Butter Chicken was avg and Palak Paneer was also avg . Quantity of food is good. Baba Chicken is good option for Non Veg , Biryani and in Veg only Dal Makhani. For these it is good option.

Good place to dine in. Their special butter chicken is awesome, no words needed. The indoor seating place is good too. Enough and wide tables but not enough parking spots and bathroom wasn’t very clean either. Otherwise everything else is pretty good.

This is my first time visiting Baba Chicken, which I have been told it is a long history restaurant. I like the vibe of the restaurant. However, one thing I don’t understand is why it segregates male group guest from group guest with female. If anyone know, pls do share. I have ordered the following dishes, 1. Chicken Malai Tikka: this is always my favorite tikka, and I like the flavor of Baba’s. love it. 2. Mutton Seekh Kebab: sorry I am never a fan of seekh kebab, but my friends love it. 3. RaRa Mutton: this dishes I like it most, totally recommend. 4. Baba’s Butter Chicken: I am always a fan of butter chicken. Baba’s Butter Chicken has their own way to cook it, so makes it a bit different from other restaurants. Recommend. In general, this is a restaurant that I will want to visit again.

Baba has always been love. The most famous restaurant for butter chicken in Ludhiana. Definitely a MUST TRY if you haven't already. Ambience, service, food, quality, quantity, everything is awesome. Butter chicken with butter naan, onions and chutney, trust me, no one can resist it. That's my personal favourite and I genuinely recommend this to everyone.

It was an awesome experience.Staff was very polite.We visited for a family get together of 15 people. We called reception 30min before to book & arrange table. They did in good manner. I always order butter chicken and naan from Baba Chicken. The flavour is awesome as always. The food is delivered in time. The chicken is buttery and extremely tender. The portion size is good and the naans are yummy.

Very bad experience . My food is not properly packed. Even the box is open l, when i call them they said we not using seals and tapes to pack food. The food under the box is not less than junk even its not fresh at all its seem that they stored food in fridge before the lockdown. I haven’t even eat full i throw it because its not eatable.They are not following covid19 precautions at all.Never going to order from here anymore

The worst experience ever.. chilli paneer had chicken piece in it.. the quality of seekh kebab and chilli paneer were way below average. The chutney was sour and felt stale.. would not recommend it to anybody.

Baba Chicken is serving the best quality of non vegetarian food. Interior is nice. service is fast. The Butter Naan and Butter chicken is a superb combination. The gravy is thick and very tasty.

Always wanted to try out this outlet and finally got a chance as I was travelling through Ludhiana.<br/>This place is famous for its butter chicken but instead of trying the usual I decided to try out the new menu which lived up to my expectations.<br/>Following are the dishes that I would recommend from their latest menu:-<br/><br/>1) Kaali Mirch Chicken Tikka:- cooked to perfection. So I recently tried their new menu. Kaali mirch chicken tikka had right amount of spices and was scrumptious. It was cooked till perfection. Even the roasted chilli chicken was too good and something new to try. Chicken curry was similar to home style chicken. Less spices and good proportion. Overall a excellent experience. Went to this place when i was in ludhiana. Tried their famous baba butter chicken. Which had a quite different and unique taste. I like it. And i also tried their baba famous mutton . Which i dint like. The gravy was very vey thin.

We have ordered one Tandoori chicken and butter chicken yesterday as parcel .Tandoori chicken was nothing other than boiled chicken which has no flavors or taste. Taste of butter chicken was good but overpriced according to the quantity. This restaurant is over priced according to the quality and quantity. We had to pay around 1200/- for two dishes which is not at all worthy. We couldn't eat the tandoori chicken due to the tastelessness and had to throw it. We have decided never to go to this restaurant any time.

Finally got time to taste the famous butter chicken of the very famous BABA chicken. We visited their model town outlet. They have their own parking space outside the outlet.<br/>Restaurant is pretty big and Ambience is good with large seating space and clean washroom.<br/>Service is fast.<br/>Now food- I ordered their butter chicken with tandoori roti. And now I know why they are so famous. The quality as well as quantity is good. Gravy was thick and delicious. Chicken pieces were tender.<br/>Price wise it is high but acc. To current market rate as other big outlets are also costing the same. One star less only because of the price of chicken and the charge of packaged water bottle which was double the MRP.

Oh, what a delight. The authenticity of Baba’s, the richness of Punjab. Of course we had to order the Tandoori Chicken and it was of course brilliant, but what caught my eye was the fact that the pieces were smaller than usual. When the server was quizzed about the same, his response was that Baba’s, as an organization DOES NOT accept chickens above 500 grams, since the ones that cross that weight are the often juiced up to appear larger.

Awesome Butter Chicken!! And Fish Bell preparation is like heaven on mouth !! Its a must have dish!! Though a resident of this city but work takes me away from this place for long durations!! This place serves amazing food. It has been one of my favourite for delivery. I ordered tandoori chicken for the starters. For non-vegetarian it's a must try, as it's juicy and smoky. Nothing is perfect, as they said! This quotation is suitable to Baba chicken. On the one hand they have one of the best tasting platter in the city, at the same time, they serve most pathetic in taste and again most unreasonable pricey drinks. I am attaching a picture of extravagant over priced ice- tea which costs ne 150 bucks. Neither it was tasty nor it has any sort of presentation.<br/>Shamful for management!

Everything was good about Baba Chicken only if it had a wheelchair friendly entrance also it would have been a five star rating from me. they do have a lift to go on the first or the second floor but to get to the lift you have to climb at least seven steps and I'm sure they can build a ramp because there is enough space to do so. we had some amazing creamy butter chicken very fattening I am sure but non resistible :) we had ordered Soya Malai kebabs and Paneer Tikka for our vegetarian guest which were very yummy.... other dishes that we ordered was fried fish which was crispy and tasty ...we ordered some chicken tikka again very very yummy.... I would visit again and again for the food that they serve... the staff was very nice and friendly... you can get valley parking they do have enough parking space...

The service is quick . We ordered butter chicken, lemon chicken, butter naan and cheese naan with gravy. The perfectly cooked food tasted delicious. Chicken was fresh. Gravy for all the ordered dishes had perfect mix of spices.

One of the best butter chicken places I've been to. Tried their butter chicken. As scrumptious as it gets, we ended up licking the gravy off our spoons. Chicken was totally fresh and beautifully cooked that too during off hours in the afternoon. Must visit in Ludhiana. Lassi was good too.

Food is good, but when we asked for some hot water they provided us with a Bisleri bottle which is microwaved. We didn't visited the property for getting cancer and unfortunately because of the greed of 20 rs hotel is doing like it. Not visiting here anymore.

Visited this place last weekend and I totally loved every bit of everything we tried here.. we had the butter chicken (which was the best chicken I had - not sweet at all), dahi meat (loved the gravy again) and dal (which was pretty average for me cos I was totally stumped by the chicken).. in breads besides regular stuff we ordered Mirch parantha and it was beyond awesome - soft parantha with generous amount of butter and green chillies.. it went quite well with all the curries.. all in all I had a great experience<br/>The place is no fine dining and u will have to wait considerable time to get seated as this place is super crowded.. taking that into account I found the place to be priced a little steeply but the taste of the food totally justifies that.<br/>Must visit!!

Since I am person from South India, (Bangalore) I wanted to try some authentic Punjabi khaana.Since we were tired after gym , thought of getting the food parcelled.<br/>I ordered their garlic naan and mushroom gravy in a creamy sauce😍 I loved mushroom gravy the most.Rich creamy texture and the smell was too tempting! Spinach and corn croquettes were damn yummy 😍I absolutely fell in love with their food! Chilly chicken was extremely spicy. The ratio of chicken to onions was absurd, they should name it chilly onions. Butter chicken was okay, but the horror that their chilly chicken brought upon us spoilt the entire experience. Shall never order food from this place again.
