Review Hong Kong Restaurant - Ludhiana

Tried lemon butter fish served with side of sauté veggies and mashed potatoes. Perfectly seasoned. I loved the hint of acidity of lemon and buttery sauce over the fish. Must try. It's a mouth watering dish. I love the whole experience and it felt nostalgic visiting after ages. Definitely will go try other dishes on the menu.

I had an amazing service and overall I'm happy with their delicious food. I will definitely bring my friends and family next time

Absolutely amazing place to dine out. I would definitely recommend this place without a doubt. Amazing staff, quick response to your queries and I was surprised by how quickly my order was ready to serve. The place definitely has the ambience and deserves to be a first choice when you decide to give your kitchen a break.

It's a good place to hangout with your buddies. Food quality, taste, prepration is nice. I felt that the quantity could have been a little more though. Otherwise, everything about this place is really good. The staff is polite, well behaving, they are maintaining proper hygiene and dishes are decently priced.

The place is situated in Kipps market Ludhiana. The ambiance is good. The food is nice and the staff is also good. We had Spicy triangle which was spicy and tasty. We did not the other item we ordered the drinks were fine. All in all it was a nice visit.

Awesome food. Chilled beer in frosted glass. My favorite for chinese cuisine. Enough space for parking, even though it is paid parking. The owners make sure to interact with the customer to remain in touch and also take feedback. Music flows in . Ambience is dark themed, but air conditioning is a tad poor, i will say. The food is finger licking although portion size had always remained an issue with them. Bowl size must change but still, in my opinion. I like the place.

Awesome place hidden away in the more nondescript half of Sarabha Nagar Market. Run by a Chinese-Indian family, their oriental dishes are super. They serve good factory-sourced draft beer as well. You can also call in advance for some truly chef's special dishes.

it is THE best restaurant in town for the foodies wishing for delicacies in Chinese....veg steak sizzler and hakka chicken are worth trying.... Try to order chinese snacks rather than full food indian cuisine menu! It has a bar in it and yes they offer pitcher for Kingfisher draught! Rates are reasonable and seating capacity can be arranged for 15 people max! usual table accommodates 5 persons!!!!

Awesome restaurant cum bar in Kips Market. We enjoyed alot with friends. We ordered 5 dishes all are very delicious. My friends ordered bear me and my brother ordered Mocktails (not like bear). We also met owner of Restaurant (he is from Hong Kong) he is so humble and nice person. Great Service with Great Taste

One of the gi to places for dining. Just that ventilation is poor everything else is good. I have tried only the veg items but i think each food item will be a good taste.

Pros - A well known restaurant that specialises in Chinese food (The owner has Chinese ancestors). Food is really awesome (5* quality) and beer is of superb quality(5*). Music is in low tone but lovely. Cons - No live music.

Best place in Ludhiana for a good time. Good food good beverages. Happy and smiling staff. Small bills. Definitely recommended. The service is on time, food is marvelous, as Chinese as it can get in India, maybe even more.

Went to this for its Draught Beer. The service was slow as a snail. Took the waiter 20 mins to bring the beer and another 10 to bring food. The food Chicken Seekh and Lemom Chicken Tikka, were a disaster. The pictures are of the food we left and couldn't get oirselves to eat. Chicken seekh was dry like it belongs to another decade. The tikka was a mix of tiny little pieces of chicken which had no taste. We even complained about the tikka and the waiter was very casual and said this is how it is. Pathetic experience. Never going back here. Not even for the beer now.

Waiters should know more about menu items with some explanation of that food item from<br/>Menu.

The Mushroom tikka masala was worth every penny whereas the Honey chilli potato did not meet the expectations. The overall experience was nice and the staff is amazing!

Its an ok-ok place. Ordered noodles and chicken manchurian, quantity was less as compared to othrr places. Noodles seemed quite bland. You can try this place if you wish to, but I won't ask anyone to visit it. As it is merely waste of money!

Nostalgic being at Hong Kong II at Sarabha Nagar. Staff and ambience is quite good. The food is well presented though lack in taste as it used to be earlier.<br/><br/>Famous for its sizzlers though other food items are okay. Ordered grilled chicken and mixed grilled sizzlers and chk manchow soup.<br/><br/>The chicken sizzler is okay but the chicken pieces are very hard and not easy to chew otherwise it is okay. Manchow soup is high on salt and overwhelmed with spices.<br/><br/>Okay to visit for sizzlers.

The ambience and staff both are good. We ordered Malaysian noodles and korean chicken gravy with it. Noodles as mentioned in in menu were bit spicy. Gravy had well cooked and good quantity of chicken chunks.

PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM ZOMATO FROM HERE<br/>8:30PM Ordered from the restaurant via Zomato. The app showed order accepted. After waiting for about 20 mins I get a conference call from Zomato with the Zomato Customer Care Associate, Zomato Valet and the Owner. The restaurant says they dont know anything about the order. Zomato tells me to wait as they’ll sort it out. After 10 mins (9:00PM) I get that the order is cancelled due to a piggybank issue. I said okay that’s fine I won’t apply piggybank and simply order it without it. At 9:15PM Zomato assigns a valet to place the order. around 9:25PM I call the valet and he hands the call to the manager of the restaurant. He tells me the order isn’t accepted and asks me to cancel the order although on my app by now it shows Order accepted which means I can’t cancel it. Awesome!! I’m chatting with zomato on the sideline and can’t order again until this order is cancelled. Around 9:40 PM I receive the notification that my order is cancelled. <br/>1 HOUR 10 MINUTES wasted. Thanks Zomato and Hong Kong II for this incredible experience.

Food wasn't tasty at all. Mushroom Chilly was tasteless and Veg. Triple was just so out of the proportion. No basic ingredients were present. No salt, no spices it was like doing torture with ones taste buds.

Try the Tapan Soba Noodles! Great place for authentic Chinese food , highly recommend 👍👍 The location is great too and it is easy to find.

Best Chinese food in town, if you go to this restraunt, you may order anything you won't regret it. The staff is Great, veg or non veg everything tastes equally good.

Very nice place for Chinese. We had T Shanghai Chicken and Triplet dish with Noodles, Rice and Choupsy with Schezwan Sauce. The food was great. Must try!<br/>Ambience is Good too.

So to start with the place has a decent ambience for dining. The cutlery and sitting is pretty neat. The food; we ordered a noodle wonton soup with veg. sizzler. The soup was bland in taste and texture, the noodles were cooked good with wontons tasting reasonably good. The sizzler was where it went choppy for us; the veggies were overcooked with the sauce tasting too much sweet and sticky in texture. Coke was required to gulp down the food. The pricing too was fairly reasonable which came out at 700 for two.<br/>

I ordered a steamed wontons and a chilly mushroom at this place food was good. It had everything what an authentic Chinese dish have in it. Ambience was okay its not a quite and peaceful place there is a bit of loudness and cheers, specially when a match is going on. Infrastructure needs to be updated as its an old place.

Giving it a 2 star rating as the ambience is nice but the food quality is very bad. we went there to have dinner and we had to wait approximately half an hour for even a single item to be served. We ordered the following items:<br/>veg sizzler - This is pathetic item never ever have it from this place else you will stop having sizzlers at all. The taste was sweet and the item was burnt from the bottom of the surface. Though the manager was courteous and replaced it with crispy veg item but that item too had only mushrooms and cauliflowers and taste was average<br/>chilly chicken - This item was also not fresh and we did not like it much<br/>Hot garlic prawns- This was good in taste and the only item that we liked here<br/>Talumein Soup - Bad soup. Located on the extreme left corner of Ludhiana's famous Kipps market. <br/>Food : Chilly mushroom : They took the word 'chilly' was too seriously but the manager approached and got the dish fixed for us which then turned out just fine. <br/>Crispy cheese corn : Could have been a little more flavourful. Writing this after my third visit to this place. The previous two visits were reasonably good. However this (probably the last one!) made me go ahead and write a review. The menu is same as old but the preparations have been clearly modified. Modified in the wrong way I say. The crispy honey chilli chicken was more on the sweeter (honey) side rather than a blend of sweet n hot crispiness. The hong Kong chicken tasted bland and more of sweet. M a die hard Chinese food lover and this made me actually look out for another place where I can find good Chinese food. Scope of improvement is still there BC os the chicken Hakka noodles was fine.

Decent place having a nice ambience with a good aroma of beer, dimly lit space and nice arrangement. The place is good for parties and they serve really good starters. Main course is little expensive but altogether a time well spent.

HongKong used to be one of the best Chinese food serving places of Ludhiana . Over time , they have not been successful in keeping up with their reputation but it still offers you good Draught Beer .

Hong Kong was the first Chinese restaurant in Ludhiana. (Not this outlet but the one in the city area).<br/><br/>It serves the typical Indian style of Chinese food. Ambience is decent like an old Chinese restaurant.<br/><br/>Food is decent and at good prices. They serve good kingfisher draught beer.

Hong Kong, situated in one of the most vibrant market of Ludhiana, Sarabha Nagar is quite dear to me. With so many memories down the line, 7-8 years now I can say. Hong Kong is still a place which is on my hit list whenever we want to have a beer with friends. The best part - Kingfisher Beer Pitchers at reasonable prices. Bad part - Food isn't great, just an okay company to the tasty beer. Ambience is good enough for you to have a beer with friends. Service is time consuming and at times can be irritating. Menu doesn't have much to offer. Just usual chinese stuff.<br/><br/>Verdict - Great to have beer with your friends.... one of the last options if you wanna go in with family

One of the best places for stag parties. A dimly lit place which calms the mood and a strong aroma of beer. Place serves real nice snacks like honey chilli potatoes being the top of quality in ludhiana, chilli chicken chicken tikka paneer tikka and American choupsoue. It's an economical place for large parties with beer being quite cheap. I won't prefer the main course here as it is quite often over salted or spiced up.

The best chinese falovours were served with big smile the waiters are friendly. Was searching for such chinese flovour here in ldh n now i finally found one. Ambiance is relaxing and i love the view of church n the park surrounding it.. Tried almost all the dishes they serve n found well balanced flavours. I think m getting addicted to their food.. I loved the tripple as its one of my all time fav, even liked the hakka chicken n chilly chicken has always been the best.. Its reasonable n suitable for my pocket.. Thinking about the food is making my taste buds tickle.. I think everyone should go n try their food once again as it is really good

The place used to be a nice joint for chinese food a few years back when they were operating in old town area. Now its mostly empty, the food is just about ok, chilli chicken and fried rice is good, i ordered manchow soup which was just about ok. The ambience is dark, stale and depressing with a strange smell all around, Service takes hell lot of time, i did not find the place worth visiting again... Taste:6/10, Service:4/10, Ambience:3/10, Value for Money:4/10

From the name it seems that there would be great Chinese food! But trust me it is the worst place i been to till now in my life, there is not even one reason to like the food! I had sesame honey chilly chicken, sai woo chicken , wantons and triangle vegetable! Not even one dish i liked it, it is only a cheap place to have beer but don't eat anything unless you haven't eaten from 10 days. You can get 1625 ml beer for 500 that is only good thing. Even small shops can cook better than this. I wanted to sue that chef also!

the restaurant from the outside looks dull, i wasnt even sure if it was open for public. However, the decor inside is nice (given the prices they charge). <br/>Music sucks, Food sucks, Draught beer could be better. The only relief I found was the final bill. The waiters are friendly (didnt expect that in ludhiana).<br/>Only if they could work on the music they play and the food they offer, i feel that this place has real potential.

Cheap and good chinese restaurant in Sarabah Nagar. The place had somewhat lost its charm over the years. Even the board outside wasn't lit up the last time i was in sarabah nagar. The place has really good Triple Delight (both the veg and the non veg versions). The Chilli Chicken is pretty good as well, and so are some of the indian dishes as Kadhai Chicken. Its not actaully chinese, but you can call it Indianised Chinese. <br/>They also serve Draught Beer, which is pretty good and cheap too. <br/>The service is quite slow.<br/>Ambience is dimly lit, and there are always some good instrumental music playing. Also they have a TV where usually we have various sports running. Pretty interesting evening it makes.<br/><br/>Skippable place, but i'd recommend you pay a visit. Maybe you'll like it, I used to. :)<br/><br/>PS- food deserves a 3.5 but for the snail's pace of service i'm giving it a 3.
