Veg Meals Thali is delicious with unlimited refills. Staff is very polite and always serving with smile.

It’s surely one the best South Indian Vegetarian restaurant in the city 🍱 The taste and the quality of food is so good always 🍛🍝 The place is mostly crowded because of the location so we need to wait and have food during most of the times and it’s a good thing that they have a waiting place to get food parcel 👍🏻 But it’s a worst thing that they have only one washroom for the entire place 🚽 ( One for Men and One for Women ) They do have a A/C dining upstairs✨ Parking is always full but there are securities who help us to park the car nearby 🚗

Amazing place to have South Indian food. Waiters speak fluent Hindi. They are very helpful. Try their ghee roast masala dosa and thank me later.

Would have given 5 star if the seating area is enough to accommodate more than 4 people per table. If you’re planning to visit as group of 4+ people then it’s hard to find any tables. One of the good vegetarian restaurants in the theppakulam area. Only street parking available, difficult to find parking during rush hours.

Went for their Ghee Pongal which is a must try. The best ghee Pongal ever. So creamy, so soft and dropping with ghee the ghee Pongal here is so unique and not to be missed.

Very clean and hygienic place . Meals were delicious and were light on the pocket. Always crowded so would have a wait time for 10-15 mins. Service is quick and fast. The first floor is only for the family and I was surprised to see an all women staff. Must visit if you are in madurai

Sree Sabaree in Madurai.. Food is absolutely delicious for Mumbaikar like us.. We tried their Jeera Rice which was an authentic Kerala style rice cooked in Ghee with Cashews. With Dal Fry it was a match made in heaven. Other than the same we tried Paneer Punjabi Masala, Kerala Parotha.. And Sweet Lime Soda.. All was good..Super Pocket friendly..

Regular customer of them easily the best family vegetarian restaurant in the surrounding of kamarajar salai, theppakulam and Anna nagar area always crowded that's the only but always can get great food they do serve special dishes on daily basis that changes every day. Try their roll chapati and milagu thaniya soup it's great👍🏼 this was my old review now in April 2023 tried breakfast here for the first time compared to lunch and dinner the rush is little less seating is available a bit better but service isn't as quick as lunch and dinner time we tried pongal, dosa, rava dosa, poori and mini tiffin all tasted really good also got parcel. Pricing is moderate for the quality and standard they maintain. Always crowded reason they are one of the best.

Must try if you are Madurai. Their spring roll is good. Also many other items were good. I don't remember name of dish I put photo, but it was awesome

Best place in Madurai to have Indian dishes. Hygienic and clean dine. From starters to dinner they all have. Coming ti desserts they can add fruit salads and milkshakes

Amazing place. We went very early in the morning, Few of the eateries that serve in the morning. Ambience was amazing and recently completed pooja and the aroma of dhoop was adding a different charm to it. The food was amazing especially the different chutneys served on the plate. The place is so crowded as there was no place to sit however food and service was awesome. Had lemon rice and Paratha with their authentic chatni.

Hotel Sree Sabarees is located on the TB road, near Solamalai cinema theatre, Madurai. There was a big crowd waiting for getting parcel. Some exchange of words between the customers and the staff was going on. The hall is very small. Only 8 tables which can accommodate 48 persons. So people have to wait outside till the tables are made free. I ordered for Naan and paneer. Hair was floating on the Panneer. However when it was brought to the notice of the staff, it was immediately replaced. My friend ordered for vazhaithandu Masala dosai, which was not tasty. However coffee was tasty..

I purchased items through Zomato Valet service and many time items are missing. Even the pack was sealed and I opened at Home. I checked with the delivered shop the response is not good.

The taste was good and hygenic,if you visit the hotel in noon the place was crowded because of quality and taste.

WHEN REQUESTED SPECIFICALLY, THEY IGNORED MY REQUEST OF SUPPLYING THE DISH WITH A SPOON.  A TYPICAL IGNORING OF THIS  RESTAURANT. HEALTH ISSUES NOT CARED.

Well! During my Tamil Nadu trip, while visiting Madurai, so thought of having some Kottu Parotta here. Maybe many will find it strange but the flavors! Oh my goodness. Very subtle it was. And the raita complemented it very well. Overall, a nice experience.

Am a visitor for decade your restaurant at Perumal Maistry st. am a fan. 29th Dec visited TB ROAD BRANCH had morning tiffin.with entire family. Ghee pongal was superb. Ghee roast was not upto mark. Sambhar not having any veg at all Chutney not having coconut. Filter coffee was average for that price.Sorry about the standard going down Please try to be alert or market will go out.till now I recommended hundreds of friends and relatives but now what to do ?What the hell supervisors are doing about quality?

Although a non vegetarian by choice, my default option for a pure vegetarian restaurant with fine dining (with my pure veg family) in Madurai will always zeroes in on Sree Sabarees. Tried their lunch meals and I assure you of extravagant treat to your taste buds at this wonderful joint. I've become an addict to their sambar and rasam as they both stole the show. The service on the other hand is top notch and there's a usually a wait here as it's always crowded.

After a long travel from Rameswaram, reached this city of temples. Madurai an oldest city in Tamilnadu which is not only famous for its rich heritage, but also for its unique cuisine. Though i was new to this place, i discovered this restaurant from zomato and its rating pushed my mind to explore this place.<br/><br/>Located just near by meenakshi temple and city railway station. You can use google map if you are a tourister or new to this city. Ambience is good and every time its packed. Getting a seat here is difficult if you are with family. For solo not an issue as here is table sharing.<br/><br/>Coming to the food in lunch i had their thali. It had lots of varieties and most of them were new to me as these were in Tamil ascent. Thali served traditionally on a banana leaf after sprinkling of water just to clean the leaf. 3 varieties of vegetable gravy served accompanied by rice, sambar, rasam, kadhi, raita, curd and papad. Rice you have to eat four times with different different accompaniments. A dessert was there too just to end the meal.<br/><br/>Evening time also again i went to have some south indian delicacies. Ordered idli plate and two soft idlis came with sambar and 5 varieties of chutneys. It was really nice and first time i saw 5 varieties of chutneys. Then i had a butter masala dosa. Crispy dosa roasted with ghee and stuffed with potato masala and served with accompaniments. At the end i had filter coffee and beleive me the best coffee i had till now.<br/><br/>Service was good and staffs are also attentive. I will recommend this place 👍💯

Best veg outlet in madurai. Chilly parotta is their best dish. Variety of dosa's with 4 different and tasty chutney as accompaniments. Value for money.. Coffee is a must try.do not miss the outlet in madurai.

Food was good. I like the chilly parotta and masala dosai which are my favourite dish here. I loved the taste. As far taste and quantity is good. But when we order 3 times I had bitter experience. Once my order was changed, second time one among ordered item was left out and third is usually they give cucumber and carrot slice when we get chilly parotta but in online they don't give it. This is little upsetting.

I ordered 2dosai but only one rava and normal dosai came. I don't know who made the mistake. I payed for 2dosai and 1 rava dosai . Now who will give my money

Have tried idli & vada . They given everything in plenty from chatni to sambar... Zomato has made life easier in metro cities... Thanks for great food :)

Not packed in properly and food preparation was worst when order online when compared to live eating at hotel. Last time I received box packing.

Ordered veg meals. According to me quantity, taste and packing wise everything okay. quite better. While I received, food was not in hot mode. I think you people were already packed that's the reason behind that. Sort out soon.<br/>Chilly parotta taste superb.

Was here for lunch. We were very hungry after a long bike ride to Madurai. Our lodge receptionist suggested this place for vegetarian food and it was an added advantage that it was less than a km.<br/><br/>Ambience – It is a small place with about 10 tables crammed in. But they have maintained the place very well, it seemed very clean and hygienic despite the heavy crowd.<br/><br/>Service – Even though all the tables were always occupied they were handling their customers so well that nobody had to wait for more than two minutes. The food was served in less than 5 minutes and the tables were cleaned immediately and very well. All the staff members from the people at the cash counter, person who takes the order, the person who serves the food to the person who cleans the tables each and every one was extremely active.<br/><br/>Food – We had a meal and a Palav.<br/><br/>Palav was served along with Onion Raitha and a curry. Palav was not hot, it was a little warm and it had deep fried bread pieces more than the vegetables. The side dishes were good.<br/><br/>The meal was served on a big Banana leaf. Except the sweet and curd everything was unlimited. There was rasam, sambar, dal and a curry for the rice. Papad and three types of dry vegetable preparation was also served. Every dish in the meal was steaming hot which made the meal even better. My favorite was the Sambar.<br/><br/>We were so hungry when the food arrived that taking pictures of it completely went out of my mind! If you are here for lunch or dinner then best choice is the meal.

Very poor quality of meals, only the rice is in best quality, others means vegetables, Sambar, rasam, butterilk ,are very poor in taste and quality. Please if you taste it you must know ,what quality of food your supplied to customer

There is nothing you cannot love in Sree Sabarees. We went to this hotel after visiting Meenakshi Temple. We were very hungry and searching for some nice hotel/restaurant and when we saw a huge crowd outside this Restaurant we thought it must be pricey. But, we still went in and found heaven. A heaven of South Indian food. My mouth starts watering remembering this place. We had ordered Idli, Vada, Small idlis floating in Sambar(don't remember the name) and  an assorted Wada Plate. The Sambar, both type of chutneys and coffee were also equally great. Plus everything is very reasonable. I don't know about the other 2 outlets, but this one near the Madurai railway station serves awesome South Indian Dishes. Anyone visiting Madurai should definitely visit this Restaurant.<br/>P.S: We were so famished that we couldn't click pictures. Just jumped seeing the food.

Shree Sabarees let me down terribly this time. Coconut chutney that came along with Idlis and dosas was spoilt. I could feel the stench emanating from the chutney bag. Plz do make necessary checks while packing food so that you don't lose loyal customers like me.

I had ordered chilli parotta and onion podi utthapam (variety of dosa ). Chilli parotta was good but the dosa was burnt badly.. they had packed and sent it.. the cost of the burnt dosa was Rs.70.. the hotel is spoiling their reputation..i had visited the hotel many times but this is the 1st bad experience.

Placed my first zomato madurai order from this hotel.<br/>It was more of a testing of service. This place was far from my place. But still food was fresh and hot. It was a good experience. Also, the zomato guy raghunath was very polite.

Tasty food, this hotel gives 3 different Chutneys and sambar with Idly. Phulka was soft. Schezwan Paneer was soft and yummy. Overall it was a good experience with Sree Sabarees

Very unhygienic hotel, waiters serve pooris and vadas and anything one can touch, by hand. The person serving water places his fingers inside the cup while pouring water. I have no idea how this restaurant has such a rating on Zomato. The waiters are also extremely rude and always linger around to peek into the bill in order to see the tip amount, and signal other waiters of how much we tipped. People, please don’t eat here for the love of God, this restaurant is filthy.

Restaurant first look gives impression of authentic South Indian flavour. Had ordered thalis. Served rice, sambar, dal, kadhi, papad, curd, 2/3 vegetables, sweet etc. Some dished were good and some was little salty. Overall I enjoyed the food.

BEST VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT IN THE LOCALITY<br/><br/>This is situated right opposite to the restaurant of new  college house. This is a small decent family restaurant. I must say there are very few restaurants which serve food not merely for business, but from heart. This is one such place. The staffs were really kind and smiling. Food was extremely Tasty. They serve the breakfast items like poongal, idli with 5 different chutney, sambhar and kesari. I was just delighted on seeing the plate with so many accompaniments. Meals is also a sumptuous one with payasam,vada,poriyal, kuzhambu sambar and rasam priced reasonably at just 100 rs. The best part was they never charged extra for appalam. This is very close to Madurai Meenakshi amma temple. Close your eyes and get in if you are hunting for a good decent family veg restaurant nearby.

The veg restaurant which has been growing rapidly in the recent times! Yes, it's worth it, though I have had much better veg food. Lack of potential competitors in the veg segment makes this restaurant to stand out.<br/><br/>Coming to the food part, food is good. In fact far better than many of the similar kind of restaurants in madurai.<br/><br/>But the service part in all branches is cold. Management need to work on service and improve it. This is a safe place to have a good vegetarian breakfast. Needless to say only south Indian food is served here. We had vada sambhar, idly sambhar and masala dosa. Everything was delicious, specially the coconut chutney.<br/>The seating capacity is good and tea, milk and coffee are served fresh.

This place was near my hotel. I was hungry so I choose near by place rather than going to fancy place. I want to taste good local food thats why I get there. The food was good and very quickly served. The price was very pocket friendly.
