Review Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant - Madurai

Been going here since almost 10 years and the taste is consistent. Known for Nonveg food and amongst the top regional chain of restaurants in Tamil Nadu. Just that despite being so famous they are not improvising on the interiors as this restaurant looks quiet old. But none the less, food that matters most is good though.

First of all... Starting with the ambience, since it is a chettinad restaurant you should not expect an excellent ambience but it was good and silent.... It is on the main road but inside the hotel you cannot hear any noise from outside..... Taking about the foods... Overall it was superb!!!..... Some foods Could not overtake local restaurant taste(but it was tasty)...... Taking about the chicken dry/gravy which I ordered, excellent one, perfected cooked, juicy, one of the best chicken I ever had... Must try chicken stuffs if u go there.... They served in banana leaves which I liked more...... Since they freshly prepare the food as you order, it will take few minutes. The service was good. Overall a good experience.

I went here to have some chettinad delicacies and I wasn’t disappointed. Though they insisted that I should try the Biryani coz that’s the best seller, I insisted on having something else. I ordered Chicken chettinad, some Mutton curry variant and fish fry with Kerala parothha Everything was delicious and packed with flavors. Loved it The seating is pretty comfortable too and the service really good. Overall a great experience. Recommend trying 👍🏼

We went there to have lunch and ordered some items. The food was delicious and ambience is good. It’s located on the Madurai- Theni main road close to kalavasal signal. We were late so the available items are limited but we enjoyed but but costly. I will definitely recommend to visit this hotel.

Anjappar with all goodness inside should take care the cleanliness on the front roadside also to attract more customer. Many a time I have avoided entering Anjappar but yesterday I really enjoyed the food ☺

Everything is good. Food quality is awesome. Worth the money. I really appreciate that. I recommend nonveg dishes and Verities. The slow cook process and the mutton pieces are too smooth and juicy.

Such a great star hotel in kaalavasal area.. foods quality also good. Worthable for price... 5 star hotel admosphere... Kind hearted staffs.. and they allowed to celebrate my baby's birthday there . Thank u employees.....

Schezwan fried rice was more gingeric nd egg kothu parotta was somewhat bitter in taste..really disappointed this time

Food ordered through zomato by my son.Foods are not properly packed and the box lid(cover) get opened and the gravy leaked out and also the packet is full of oil.how can we eat?if you packed like this,then how can we order in the next time

I ordered vegetarian meals, parotta and Gobi Manchurian.The Pappad/Appalam was missing from the meals and it had fish gravy. I recieved non-vegetarian gravy with meat in it for the Parotta. The Gobi Manchurian was soggy with masala. As a vegetarian, receiving such kind of food was very disappointing.

Great South Indian non vegetarian food. Crab lollipop is my favorite😍💕 Tastes so good. Briyani and sheswan rice tastes ultimate. Yum! Food is bae here

food was very worst .this is the worst food i have ever tasted .i ordered non veg meals but the quality was very poor.they are cooking separatley for this kind of orders.

I have prev ordered biryani n other chicken dishes. They were good. But today I ordered non veg meals and fish fry. Both were so worst. The gravies were too tasteless n not worth the money. Fish fry was d most worst dish. It was like it was made before a week or so. I mean it was that bad n not fresh at all. I could have better ordered biryani. Total waste of money.

Worst services, delivering different instead of order food, full tandoori missing... Why you making fooled to customer. Excellent taste is there ... That's your brand. But worst services through Zomato.

This my first time order in online. Will not expecting, food not warming. curd onion chilled. I think is not a fresh food. So I'm not satisfied.

The Prawn biryani is a bit differently cooked and tasty here. Can be a good diversion for people who want to take a break from the normal, conventional flavor.

Wort Experience with Anjappar... My order was veg schezwan fried rice and they had sent me chicken sczh fried rice and also entered in bill. I had attached my ordered screen shot and received bill. what can i do for vegeterians if you send us like this???

Non veg meals is tasty and good..But When one time we ordered, you give appalam, pickle and mutton gravy with the food.. Another time not added...

They forgot to give gravy for parotta. Only god knows how to eat parotta without gravy! Always had a good impression about Anjappar but not anymore

Anjappar here in PP Chavadi Madurai doesn't taste good. Their briyani is something isn't worth trying.<br/>And even chicken in the briyani is undercooked.
