This one is very good punjabi restaurant on ECR and close to Mahabalipuram I tried this place during my recent stay in Mahabalipuram because of its close proximity from my resort Nicely maintained and well decorated Good spacious seating as well as have a broad menu Good service and good taste as well and a pocket friendly price Do try them out for sure

Food quality and the service are really good here. Food Price is reasonable. Roti with daal and jeera potato are good. Good restroom is there. There was no rush when we visited the place for the lunch. Kadhai Chicken was also good in this dhaba.

its good place with flexible dining options. we went with visitors from japan to iit madras. they are happy with the taste. ambience is good . staff is friendly. Its two times with visitors here from many countries along with Japanese. We loved starters too. The space is big so there is possible to get 20 people in long table connects. All of us ordered many food and shared to experience the various tastes here. Its recommended to visit if you get to go here.

We were late for lunch but it was serving authentic Delhi dishes fast. Within 20 mins we had our lunch. Paneer cubes were big and soft just like you would get in Delhi and the butter masala falvours were almost there. Price is also very reasonable and justifies quantity

Good food , honestly wasn't sure as this eatery wasn't showing up in Google reviews near ECR. Their non veg platter had all the necessary mix of chicken, mutton and prawn and tasted good. No complaints. The green chutney and mayo was good too. Their butter chicken, paneer were delectable. Overall a good place to have lunch or dinner. The dining area is quite huge and can accommodate close to 100+ people at a time.

Guys those you pass by Mahabs route, This is a must try place. Every dish is mouth watering. We tried their Chicken lollypop which was awesome. Chicken biriyani - good Stuffed kulcha- Must must try Chicken punjabi - Good(quantity was also good) Did not click many photos but all their food was very good. We can give a 5.5 Star rating. the ambience was also different and service was very good.

Extremely poor service, despite the restaurant being pretty much empty. The worst part was that we were overcharged by almost 20% (Our bill was around Rs. 6500/-) and when we raised an issue, it was claimed to be a "centralized system" and nothing could be done. There was no manager around, and the staff were not even close to trained to understand what a customer was saying! Truly horrible experience. From a food perspective, few of the food items were ok, but most of them very bad. Paneer Butter masala was pretty much water. If you wish to have a good meal and finish with some peace of mind, I would recommend visiting any of the nearby hotels in Mahabalipuram. Absolute waste of money and time!

If u r smart , order ur food the previous day , if u r very smart go to the kitchen directly . I love the food here. I loved the tandoori chicken. It was very juicy and yummy. When I go to a North Indian restaurant I always try their roti and chicken Tikka masala or palak paneer. This time I chose chicken Tikka masala. It was scrumptious. Ambiance is decent. Service is good. I would keep visiting this place often.

Can say one of the nicest restaurants in Mahabalipuram. Located in highway, it's almost near to the city. Ambience was like dhaba. Service was good. They have ample space for parking & also for seating inside. Nice place for veggies as well. Ordered Murgh chilli milli- 8 piece Tandoori Kabab which was soft and tender. Butter nan was thin and crusty. Dhaba Chicken Masala & Kadai paneer was soft and tender. If ur visiting mahabalipuram along with family, best place to be. For us it gave bangalore kinda north Indian experience.!

One our favourite places when we go for long drives.....this is in the turning of Mahabalipuram return......when we take long drives in late evenings we go here for dinner......simple and nice local ambiance place for North Indian food.....the place gives a local Dhabha experience..... the taste and cost of food is also quite good and nominal.......it’s not all that great but definitely not letting down place also.......it will give you a complete feel when you travel so long and get done with your dinner......

Dropped in for dinner while returning from Pondichery. Sometimes you just go to a hotel blindly and u get more than u expected. U can't expect North Indian food better than this in Mhabalipuram. In fact, its one of the best option for North Indians around Chennai. The paneer dishes were just amazing. Kababs were mouth watering and so was the panner butter masala. It had typical North Indian taste and flavour which sury will satisfy ur taste buds. Ambience is kind of retro with posters of 60s and 70s stars on the walls. Ambience - 3.5 Food quality - 4 Service - 4

We were desperate for lunch, ordered chicken tikka masala and prawns curry with Roti and rice, and of course 2 lassi...Lassi came in bad plastic glass and asked to change, then 4 lassi came we sent back two and again 4 lassi came...we took 2 lassi and and for 2 empty glass..Roti was good chicken tikka just ok, but prawn curry was really badly raw cooked.. masala raw was tasted and we gave back the order..

I have always wanted to try this place every time I travelled through mahaps but kept missing it for a long time. I loved the ambience as it’s different compared to any dhaba I have been to. We ordered hot and sour veg soup,which was absolutely tasteless and the pepper was not tasting like pepper. Vanjaram fry and paneer tikka,butter chicken,kadai mushroom,butter naan and lacha paratta. Nothing was tasty,it’s waste of time,energy and money. With that ambience and location they can be much better.

This place is easy to miss when you're at Mahabalipuram. It is about a kilometer off the entrance to Mahabalipuram. Bollywood songs and movie posters keeps the dinner engaging. You can see all your tandoor items being made through the transparent tandoor kitchen. I recommend the Tandoor items, Cheese Nan, Mutton Rogan Josh. A must visit for North Indian food in the south.

During our stay in Mahablipuram we ordered from this particular place at night..... as this was the only place opened at that time..... The person who took our order was very confusing and many of the items in the menu were not available... So we ordered tandoori aloo and tandoori mushroom and a plate of chilly garlic noodles... Tandoori aloo and mushroom both smelled well but there was no salt in them their green chutney was a saviour though and yes chilly garlic noodles were good...

Ordered through zomato delivery. Tried north indian veg. The food was good. But both, dal makhni and paneer butter masala had a sweetness in the taste which might not be liked by everyone. Would have happily given a 4 or 4.5 if the all the fiasco over the call about the order had not been created.

Naming outlets to entice customers of North Van work sometimes but at the end it's the food which matters. Ordered lunch (a few dishes) which staying in a resort nearby turned out to be a big mistake. Tiny portions only for served & that too with with just OK taste. Seriously, not recommended

Easy to spot on place on Chennai-Mahabs highway. Been here on a saturday for lunch with two of my colleagues, out of which one is a German. He found the biryani very good cooked, not too spicy on a safe side. The ambience is very colorful with old bollywood actors captured in their famous characters. Ordered garlic naan, aloo gobi masala, jeera rice- Very easy on pockets for the quality of food served. Staff is very welcoming. Ample parking space for your vehicle. That was a good experience overall.

This is on the way to Mahaballipuram Chennai highway, wonderful dhaba kind of ambience. Staff is very good and food is wala!!!!!! We had butter nan mutton Rogan Josh. Meat was really tender and soft, not spicey yet tasty. Lassi at the end was just delightful. I would definitely visit here again soon. After coming to Chennai this is the first place which reminds me of few awesome places back to my city Kolkata.😀😀😀

Nice place located on the ECR highway. Calm place. Good Food : Tandoori, Kababs n most of the starters. Not good food : non veg platter, not yet all impressive and not value for money. But individual starters are tasty. Chicken n prawn Briyani on OK OK side. All breads are good except a chilly naan. Curries are good. The prices are slightly inflated may be because its located on highway.

We went to this place hoping to have good tandoori items but left after two starters. Tangi kabab was poorly marinated and not cooked from inside. The other kabab was just okay. We also felt that with such basic fare, they are quite high on the price. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Delhi Dhaba is good restaurant serving north indian food in Mahabalipuram. It is on ECR and will be on your left hand side while going towards Chennai from Mahabalipuram. The ambience is made for dhaba with cinematic pictures and street names written on the counter. Service is good and people are courteous. We were there in Mahabalipuram for 3 nights and came here for dining every night. In starter Chicken Chilli Milli Kabab and Reshmi Kebab was very good and little bit spicy. In main course you can choose Roti/Butter Naan or Kulcha along with spicy chicken curry or chicken afghani. It has a big parking space and food quality is good. I will suggest to dine here.

Quite good north food and a big and open decor and its a good depict of north India including trucks and auto rickshaw. We had the chicken tikka and chicken tangdi and both were tandoor. It was well marinated and certainly well made. It was overall a good restaurant and the food was really nice.

Went for Lunch. The hotel is spacious and I liked the ambience. Ordered Spicy Prawn soup, Fish fingers, Pucket fish, sea food biriyani and chicken afghani. Fish fingers were crispy and tasty. Pucket fish was spicy and delicious. The soup was not bad. Chicken afghani was bland. The biriyani was the real bummer. I have tasted better tomato rice than this biriyani. Definitely not VFM.

Pathetic food and service...... Just giving a northindian name to a restaurant does not means that it will make as tasy dishes also. Chiken tikka masala was cooked in jaggery, which is totally opposite of how chicken tikka is coocked. If you value your hard earned money then do not go to this place.

Given that we were unable to find good north India food (dhaba types) in Mahabs, this restaurant turned out to be perfect. We ordered cheese naan, garlic naan, paneer bhurji, papad and soup. We were two people and this dinner costed us just Rs. 550. Food was incredibly tasty and the service was good too. It is just 4 km from Mahabs main market.
