Perhaps one of the best eateries in Manali, this eatery is a must visit if one would like to indulge in fresh Himalayan Trout. It was an amazing dish that made the fish lover in me go absolute bonkers.

Very beautiful and a serene place in old manali. The outdoor seating is amazing and the location of the place is very good . The view is very nice and relaxing . It's situated next to a river on a height . The vibe and ambience is to die for . Do try the paste , pizza and mocktails. Spaghetti pasta was nicely cooked and delicious .

A lively cozy lounge located along the astounding Beas river in Old Manali. The ambience is amazing with indoor as well as outdoor seating and live music usually after 7:30 p.m. Food and drink menu is quite extensive and equally delectable. Service is fantastic. The staff is cheerfully helpful too. A must visit place to hangout and enjoy really good food, music and lively atmosphere. The prices are on higher end.

I explored the Lazy Dog cafe in Old Manali, leaving with a 4-star impression. The highlight for me was the unique riverfront setup, accompanied by the soothing river music that created an immersive atmosphere. Intriguing artwork adorned the walls, and the well-crafted beer mugs added to the charm. Though slightly pricey, possibly due to the mugs, the captivating interior design and overall experience made it worthwhile.

Amazing food. We had Veg Noodles, Mushroom Duplex, Chicken Schnitzel and Cold Coffee. All the dishes were really good. They have a very nice open area with river view.

Awesome place to dine in Old Manali. We tried their kimbap(sushi) and panini sandwich. The hummus platter is nice too. I dined there thrice within a space of 4 days. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting. Pricing is on the higher side. A dinner for two might cost you between 1500-2000 easily.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Lazy Dog Cafe and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the river and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the natural surroundings also has a rustic and warm interior design. The food was also delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from, with friendly and attentive staff. Overall, highly recommend the Lazy Dog Cafe to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. 5 stars!

The view and outdoor seating is really good. Had a couple of their dishes , the lamb seekh which I found too chewy and the trout fish fillet which was good. Would definitely recommend to visit this place early evening before the sun sets.

The ambience of the cafe was too good. After a long bike ride we went to the cafe and were welcomed with a live performance by solo performer. The song, the food and the ambience were too good. It took is quite sometime to get moving even though we had completed our meals 😂 The café had a good indoor and outdoor seating. There is a fireplace at the outdoor area and both the indoor and outdoor seating areas provide a good view of the river Manaslu flowing next to the café. Magical and hidden on the famous river in Manali. Breathtaking views and amazing food. I visited The Lazy Dog Restaurant in 2014. During my 4 days in Manali, I sat along the river banks everyday. You must not skip this place. The staff is excellent and warm. The ambience is perfect for a single person or crowd! Hope to visit again soon. ✨

We usually hangout here whenever in Manali. Amazing food with equally warm staff. Pastas are relishing and live music is something you should not miss if in Manali. Yeah we do went on a lazy Sunday night . Cafe was bit empty at that time . Server out there are much less attentive to there customers . Even they are not aware much of product knowledge . I have to kill my mind choosing my dish or let them understand what I was looking for . Anyhow ordered chicken with some brown sauce which was Suprisingly yummy . Cocktails though were good too.

The food menu has a really bad assortment for vegetarians, but the ambience is really great and bar menu is nice. They have a Riverside view with open air seating as well which is really beautiful.

This has a beautiful river view . A great place to hang out with sound of river .. It has too less variety of foods on the menu and I did not like the service of the staff. I had to tell them to serve the food, they used to just keep the bowl or plate on the table and looked like least interested .

Ordered honey ginger lemon tea and it tasted really really bad. I don't understand if they actually know the recipe of it or not. Honey was local and tasted so bad.it was so sweet. That was the first thing that we ordered and we decided to leave the place. I don't know why this is rated 4+. Won't visit this place in future

Loved the ambience, seating, staff and most importantly the food. Every thing was just perfect about this place. We ordered hummus with pita and veg thai red curry with rice. Both the dishes were amazing. It's on the way to Manu temple and parking is an issue but we managed to park our car near by. If you are in old manali, do try this super cool place.

Great place to hangout out with friends and BAE. I visited this place recently with my friends and the every penny spent here really was worth. Food was impeccable and so was the cocktail. Cool Ambiance,although we went for diner, it looked great during dark as well. <br/><br/>If I visit this place next time, I will certainly try their breakfast  menu as it looked eye catching and to click photos of surroundings as it is bank of Manlaso river and green surrounding which makes this place Instagram worthy. <br/><br/>Yes ! During 3 day trip of manali after visiting all places i was felling tried so i was looking for cafe or bar where i can seat for long time and enjoy food and drinks with friends. visited this place call the lazy dog. They have good interiors and ambience was also good. Service need to improve rest all things was good.

This place is just absolute bliss. River side, live music, great cocktails and scrumptious food. It's so good that finding a table becomes a bit of a task. Tried tried their moussaka, labanese platter and trout in orange sauce. Food was amazing so were drinks. A must visit place for all Manali visitors.

Live music was great, the place has a nice vibe.<br/>The apple panini sandwich was an interesting mix of flavors and quite enjoyable. The mushroom pasta was alright, but the mushroom risotto was very ordinary.<br/>

A very hip spot for all the young crowd in old Manali. You’d find people from all around the world chilling around at all times. While the food isn’t great. The ambience more than makes up for it. Tried the hummus and pita with chicken platter. The quantity of food as compared to the prices is quite microscopic. While the pita was quite fresh, the chicken was too less to even have gauged the taste properly. The chocolate cake slice was a good change to the palette!

A must visit place in Manali Everything has been perfected including the food and ambience. We had visited there twice for their trout fish, sandwich, tea and cheese balls.

All the stars for the location ... the outside seating is so beautiful - the trees, flowing river and the mural on the wall - all add it to its beauty. The place has a romantic aura and would be perfect for a date. The food was good too.

Late post. This visit happened in March when wife and I went there to celebrate our anniversary day. Perfection is an understatement and believe me I am not exaggerating. Super cool ambience surrounded by mountains and that weather ❤ Food was also just perfect for that climate. Amazing work guys. Will definitely visit when I go again as I miss this one badly.

Off course it look nice but I was sit almost 15 minutes before they bring me the menu.The restaurant was not full and they noticed me. I was ready to leave when the waiter came. After had a look on their pricey menu I decided to return to a nearby restaurant were the service and price are better. With friendly staff who make you feel welcome. Here I had the feeling to disturb. Overrated.

The charm of old Manali with food at Lazy Dog - It cannot get better than that. The service is quick and the waiters are polite. The ambience of the place is truly amazing. I had mushroom duplex with mango chutney, which was such a 'good' different combination. I also had their tandoori paneer tikka, which was also very delicious.

Has a very warm ambience and amazing views of the river.<br/><br/>Ordered the Aglio Olio Chicken pasta, Triple Mushroom Spaghetti, Pepper Chicken Steak, American Chop Suey, Pan Fried Trout in Butter Garlic Sauce along with drinks on the side.<br/><br/>The Aglio Olio Pasta was great, as was the Triple Mushroom Spaghetti. The Pepper Chicken Steak was done well and tasted very nice with the mashed potatoes. The Chop Suey was good, especially the quantity. The real star of the show, however, was the Pan Fried Trout. The butter garlic sauce was delicious and the fish was cooked extremely well. I asked them to replace the veggies with mashed potatoes and they were more than happy to oblige.<br/><br/>The drinks were good.<br/><br/>Overall a very nice experience. Well definitely return whenever I'm in Manali next.

Riverside cafe located in old Manali with river Beas flowing next to it with cold breeze. It has both indoor and outdoor seating with live music and a fancy bar. One of my favorite places in Old Manali. Gives you typical Hauz Khas Village (Delhi) feels for some reason and that adds to the fun ! Except that replace the lake with the swift flowing Beas river for window-side views !<br/><br/>Fish finger chips were the real deal. Amazingly crisp and flavorful, it was a delight to have them with Apple Cider . Thai Green Curry was a tad bit high on lemongrass , but overall it tasted good with rice.<br/><br/>But the winner remained the dessert - Tender Coconut Mousse with Kiwi , damn all Naturals lovers will have a happy deja vu moment with this refined version of a dessert, with perfect consistency and mild sweetness. Must try !<br/><br/>Service was friendly , and I really liked the part hippie, part traditional ambience of the place. A bit heavy on the pocket (Zomato kindly revise the 800 for two costing!), but nevertheless Lazy Dog has to be your best bet for a fun meal with music, food and folks !<br/>

This place is a little difficult to locate. But what a place! The ambiance and the vibe is so refreshing! The scenic few and the easy vibe with live band playing is out of the world. We sat in the open space and the view was so soothing and calming. Oh! The food tastes average ! We had tandoori trout , chicken tikka masala , tandoori roti and brownie with ice cream. The location and style of the place is better than its food. I guess it might only be recommended as a spot to grab a (rather expensive) beer. The food we opted for was very average for the price (see the sad trout picture).

Hands down an evening place, the vibe is amazing at night. So well lit up , amazingly located right across the river, music is great(sometimes loud) and food is good too. Well, please do rub some mosquito repellent, coz it really attracts small bugs being close to river. I would recommend going with some friends coz they have really nice setup to enjoy with a group. Otherwise its fun to be solo or as a couple too. Not very kid friendly

The lazy dog is probably the best cafe in Old manali town, serving delicious food in an ambience you wouldn't want to leave ever. Although the menu is priced way more higher than the other cafes in the market, the quality of food stands out from the rest.<br/><br/>Must try - vietnamese rolls, chicken kebabs, and quinoa salad.<br/><br/>I also tried few asian dishes from the menu - thai curry and kung pao chicken, however they didnt match up to my expectations.<br/><br/>Do enquire about the live singing nights, as it was the best amongst the other cafes in old manali.

Lazy Dog is a riverside Cafe located at the happening Old Manali Road . <br/><br/>The Vibe and Ambience of this place is worth seeing while the atmosphere is so calm and soothing . <br/><br/>On our arrival we opted for a table in the open space , the seating was comfortable and the view was astonishing . We started with the drinks , we kept it basic and chose to order Kingfisher Ultra Beer which went with the weather and with their House wine . The wine was smooth and had a soothing taste . <br/><br/>The food was delicious and we ordered a variety of things be It pasta , mushroom Risotto , we even ordered the prawn sushi which was indeed very delicious . overall the food is good so is the ambience , but where the cafe lacked was SERVICE . The staff was slow in taking orders and even had given White sauce mushroom Pasta against Mushroom Sandwich as unfortunately it had the same name . while they should improve upon the service , the staff has to also be humble and efficient in maintaining this restaurant . <br/><br/>Overall a good experience and would recommend it to my friends and family .

extremely lively place with superb ambience. every dish that we ordered was lip smacking and the sound of river waves was creating a soothing atmosphere. the food that we ordered was prawn sushi, chicken sushi, arabiata pasta, agli olio chicken pasta, french fries, chicken pepper steak and loads of margaritas, LIIT, beers, bloody Mary, cosmopolitan and mojitos.

Staff workers do not treat good to new customers and mock at them....if asked about the menu items to describe they think customers are idiot

You'll have to be super duper rich to have a dinner at this place. Despite being the most popular restaurant in Old Manali, they have increased their prices over and over again. At the same time, the quantity has gone down.<br/><br/>The food tastes nice and if you don't mind spending money then this place should be a must visit on your list.<br/><br/>After second visit I have decides to cut down one more star because they use blatantly use single use plastic. I hope they switch to eco friendly ways.

It’s a brilliant spot but the quality of food was not upto the mark. I had ordered chilly paneer and the paneer seemed like it was fried multiple times and paneer itself was very hard. Since the place is fantastic, I would suggest to keep up the quality of food as same the place itself.

The Lazy Dog Lounge..Is it just us or do the names of these lounges sound so relatable at times? We felt like lazying around when we just bumped into this one. I had high expectations of this place based on the reviews and its riverside. Sadly, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. My friends and I waited out for over 20 minutes and had to walk out. No one to take or order and neither did we get the menu. They have some good music, beautifully set up place by the river, and the place gets really crowded in the evenings.<br/>Feedback to management - you'd probably want to hire more staff to help out your customers.

Totally loved this place. Perfect place to spend your evening in Manali . They have a nice view of beas river and mountains. We tried plenty of things and they all were good, though the quantity was quite less but quality and taste was up to the mark. Service was also quite nice. It's a great little place to go for dinner here. The ambiance is cosy n comfy, the food very tasty, drinks to your liking and on top of everything they have live music almost every weekend!!<br/>Tried only the chicken and mutton gravies in my two visits, chicken tikka masala was great. The best place I’ve been to in Manali. U might miss it, bcoz it’s located slightly inside, but ask around to help with navigation. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor, next to the river running by. The food is good and so are the cocktails. Ambience, service, food quality and portion size are good. Pricing is similar to Delhi/Bombay for food and drinks. But in totality, a very good experience.

This place has the best location. Sitting outside overlooking Beas river with a good wind blowing, I spent a good hour or two doing nothing. Ordered a Cafe latte and LIIT both of which tasted average and hence didn't order anything to eat.

After checking many reviews we decided to visit The Lazy dog cafe while we were in Manali. It is a small, cozy restaurant in old manali with amazing view. We ordered tea, chicken noodles and chicken chilli. Quantity was less in compared to rest of the renowned restaurants in Manali. However tea they served was full of flavour and in a big glass. I found noodles to be average, though there were lots of good reviews about it. Food was average, people serving the food were not very welcoming, never saw a smile on their face. My overall experience was ok, but if you are in Manali and want to stop to grab a bite...you can always try.

The best part about this Cafe is the outdoor sitting it offers. The food is like the cherry on the cake. Its freshly cooked, filling and beautifully presented. Both the Pad Thai Noodles and the trout were great :)

The ambience in a word is awesome with the Beas flowing by and the mountains surrounding it in a half circle fashion. The open air space us nicely decorated with lights and paintings. While you literally shiver yet njoy the atmosphere outside the inner space is cosy, warm and comfortable and has a pub like ambience. The price for food is a little on the higher side.

This place is literally exceptional. It has some breathtaking outdoor seating views which soothe the eyeball.<br/>And food options are limited but they are really great.<br/>Must Have :<br/>1. Jalapeno Poppers.<br/>2. Tomato Basil Pasta.<br/>3. Cranberry Cooler.<br/>4. Pina Colada.<br/><br/>Tomato Basil Bruschetta and Aglio é Olio Pasta could have been better.<br/>Service was quick and the staff was friendly.<br/>Keep up the good work! ✌️

I was roaming around old Manali and happened to notice this place on zomato.<br/><br/>First off, the ambience of this place is pretty amazing. Located right beside the beas river, you've multiple options wrt your seating.<br/><br/>Their menu is also pretty wide. We ordered garlic bread and some rotis. The food is decent, but is indeed pricey. If cost is not a problem, this is a decent place

If someone want to enjoy food Riverside, this is the place for you. They made you speechless with quality ambience and the amazingly served food along with drinks. Perfect place to enjoy your evening.<br/>5/5

I am speechless at this moment because the kind of ambience, the kind of food and the kind of service I got in my first visit is simply amazing...no words! Penny mix sauce pasta and chicken pepper steak with brown sauce is out of this freaking world and very reasonable too

This place is located next to the beas river in old manali and you can hear the water flowing at a good speed and feel the freshness in the air.<br/><br/>The ambience is lively and food is great as is in most of the cafes in Manali :) .<br/>We went there to relax after completing a 4 day trek and the place charged up our tired bodies.<br/><br/>

Visited this place today, walked 3 kms for this place & was highly disappointed. Most of the dishes were unavailable! And the pasta we ordered was horrible. 20rs maggi pasta is 1000 times better!! Not worth the time.<br/>

Location is good as it is on riverside. You will have a beautiful view from the restaurant. Talking about food, they had a variety of options to choose from but quantity of the food is not adequate considering the price you pay. I ordered half tandoori chicken and I got only three pieces which make it around 200gm only. Don't know how they weigh it. Vibe is good here. But it is very expensive. I got three pieces of chicken in ₹450 that's ironic.

hey foodies<br/>if you love to eat and drink near the river.so this is the best place to visit in old manali.they have nice ambience. i visited on my first day of trip.since temp is very low.we were unable to sit river side. they have proper fireplace they were serving warm water. we have order chilly chicken ,chicken white sauce pasta and fried rice. according to price their quantity is little less and taste of food is also normal not up to the mark.<br/>they need to reduce their prices.

It is a nice cozy place located in old manali. The view is good. The food is also tasty. Must visit cafe in you like chilling in peaceful environment.

It’s a must visit restaurant in Manali. Awesome River view & all things are quite good. Preparations are also upto the mark. Live music adds a feel a bit.

The entity seriously needs to work on customer service. Had an awful experience with the service even when half the tables were vacant. Hope to see some improvement next time!

I would say your trip to Manali is incomplete w/o going to Lazy Dog. Live music, amazing staff, beautiful ambience and very good food and tandoor. A complete package all worth going. We ordered CAppuccino, Carrot Juice, Chicken wings, smoked avacado and Chicken Salad, Vegg Pita platter which was all so delicious. And, for desserts we had Chocolate Souffle with Ice Cream omg simply heaven it's one thing you really can't miss. This place is worth every bit of your time and money cheers.

This place is in old Manali.<br/>A proper bar with some excellent food. Good cocktails. They have live bands on the weekends which gets you in the mood and helps interact with other travellers..this is the place to be.<br/>I had the chicken shnitzel with mash potatoes and we had the famous trout (which is abundantly available in the area) and both were fantastic.<br/>The owner is a great host .very friendly.<br/>If you're in Manali.. don't miss this place.

We visited this place today. Highly over rated in terms of the quality of food. I would rate it 2 star.<br/>Ambience - good, with outdoor area facing the Beas river<br/>Food - not good at all, we ordered chilli noodles which was absolutely tasting like the street Hakka noodles. In fact I would rate the street Hakka noodles better than this. <br/>They neither have much varieties in their food menu. No pizza at all which I assume people mostly look out for in a cafe<br/>Price - expensive and not worth the money.<br/>I will not be interested in visiting this place again. 😐

The Lazy Dog is a well-known cafe in Old Manali. We checked it out on the second night of our trip. It was quite cold, yet we decided to sit outside because we wanted to be by the river. There wasn't much light in the sitting area, so we asked the servers for more candles.<br/><br/>I ordered their white sauce pasta, and the men ordered a mutton and rice. The pasta was good - quite creamy and cheesy. The others liked their mutton too. We also had delicious ginger lemon tea along with our meal. <br/><br/>The service was a bit tardy. The food was decent and reasonably priced. Overall, a good experience. We will go back in daylight on our next trip.

Tried many dishes here for the three continuous days i visited here. Great ambience with a river view and close to nature feel! Service could definitely be improved. Aglio spaghetti was amazing ever! Intriguing presentation for the dishes.

Excellent place in Old Manali. The ambience is classy and food is good. They have live music sometimes. We happened to watch Shankh (the band) perform there. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area, and The Lazy Dog has more of a hip eatery vibe than a shack feel. It is slightly expensive, though. But definitely worth visiting when in Old Manali.

One of the best places in old Manali. Would suggest everyone to visit once during their visit to old Manali. The staff is really courteous and the ambience is very cozy with a great river view. You could sit there all day and not get bored at all. The ambience really does justice to the name of the place.

They have special theme nights . <br/>I attended their sufi night , it was quite good.<br/>The best part about this place is their food.<br/>I had ordered Noodles, Paneer Sabzi , Naan and a chicken starter .
