Review Kabab Studio Restaurant - Mangalore

Rohan Fernandez
We made a reservation through the EazyDiner app which gave us a 10% discount. We were originally ushered to a table which we didn't like and the captain immediately changed our seats. The service, I must point out, was excellent. After informing them of certain dietary restrictions, they customised the starters. The choice of main course (both veg & non veg) were great. Well laid out hot cases neatly marked out. The desserts were made in-house by the chef. The Rasagulla and Mysore Pak stood out. If you want Mutton starters, go on weekends and Sundays. Weekdays is only chicken, fish and prawns.

Taste was amazing!! The reason I rated 4 is that the timings is 12:30 to 3:30 which is very less and at 3:30 everything was closed and we had to take what we want and then cannot take extra. BBQ Nation will allow you to sit till 5:00 as well and won't trouble you. Also, AC wasn't cool, it was feeling very hot there. Rest everything was the best. The taste of every item was awesome and tastier than BBQ Nation. Must try once. The total cost for me on a Sunday afternoon for the unlimited non veg meal was Rs.881 per person with all tax included.

This is the best place I had good meat and their menu is so flexible. I prefer this better than BBQ Nation which is also good but in terms of flavor, this place much much much better for families and friends. They have many varieties in the meat menu. It is good for a big gathering of people if you want to spend on some good food.

The ambience is quite good and the taste of starters are good too.. the only thing i have with the buffet is lack of options... i dont recommend this for the vegetarians coz tbh the food options qre waay too limited... not worth the pricing..

All you can eat buffect is available here. It was night when we visited the place and the menu was displayed outside looked interesting with plenty of options. Every table had grilling section in-built. Firstly grilled veg and non veg items are served to table. Non Veg included chicken, Prawns and fish. Veg included Paneer, mashroom, Fineapple, babycorn and cauliflower. Main course had limited varieties, mutton chicken biryani was yummy liked the food. Wide range of salad varieties was available. About starters has the crowd exceeded the starters was served late also they weren't hot. Chinese dishes namely pasta and noodles tasted really good. Coming to desert there were pudding, strawberry pastries, mousse , carrot halwa ice-cream and sweet named Sandesh it's an Bengali dessert. Pudding had less sweet wasn't that great. Strawberry Pastries was good but ain't big fan of strawberries. Mango mousse was good too. Carrot halva and Venilla Icecream was heavenly. Sweet dish wasn't flat no taste hardly it was sweet.

Visited it three times this year. Amazing ambience, nice blend of flavours in all dishes.. both veg and nonveg options, Starters- corn, potato , tangdi , mutton seekh Bbq- chicken kabab, mushroom, fish basa, prawns, paneer kabab, spicy pineapple All the chats are veg - Pani puri, dahi puri , masala chat - i tried all the chats -- dahi puri is excellent. Main course- biryani, pulao, paneer, plain rice, variety of veg salads, masala papad, nonveg biryani, fish curry mangalorean style, chicken and mutton dishes vary depending on the menu, soup also varies , noodles , also 1 of main course preparation is good to go with the noodles Desserts- sweets like ras malai, gulab jamun, pastries, cheesecake, cut fruits. I personally loved the dessert section , very good and authentic options for desserts, Chach is served as welcome drink, Apart from the buffet menu, a lot of alcohol options are also present ( not included in buffet price) . Moctails variety is also nice( not included in buffet price) Price is average 800 to 1000 per head dinner and around 650 to 800 per head lunch time including GST. Drinks extra.

Best buffet at Mangalore for breakfast and lunch. I frequently visit this place for breakfast and it's the best. Lunch buffet had good options for starters, main course and desserts. Fish was really fresh and tasty. Service was great and rightly priced. Special thanks to the lady at the restaurant who took care of my kid while we were busy eating.

One of the best places to have tandoor items which include, fish, prawn, paneer, pineapple and chicken. It has only a buffet system and you cannot place orders a la carte. Alcohol is slightly on the expensive side but the variety of food that is available from vegetarian to non vegetarian dishes are amazing. Dessert is also there.

Food:4/5 Ambience:5/5 Staff:4/5 Located at top floor of Goldfinch hotel , this place is quite popular with a lot of family gatherings and birthday parties , I am a total fan of their outdoor seating , with an amazing view of racecourse road , this was quite mesmerising. Their buffet is what people come here for , the varieties in their buffet are just mind boggling with many choices from starters, maincourse to desserts and then there are beverages. They have a seperate dining room with a TV inside for corporate meetings, conference etc which is really amazing , we had our dinner there and had a lovely time. What I liked in their buffet : 🌟Chaat: Dahi Bhalla Pani Puri 🌟Starters: Hara bhara kabab Rajma galouti kabab The Rajma kabab was something I tried for the first time and had a nice taste to it , a very creative dish. Maincourse: Bangali paneer makhani had slightly bland taste with many paneer cubes and could have been better. Kadai sabzi was great with good ingridients and succulent taste Delhi sukhi gobi : the taste was good in this but less Gobhi content which was disappointing as I love the cauliflower vegetable. Afghani pulaw: this was the best main course I had here , cooked perfectly and had a good balance of spicyness , I loved it. The rest of the sabzis were good/average while the rotis and naan were perfect. 🌟 Desserts: The live counter for ice creams where they make stone ice creams were great as the end result was smooth like gelato. Coming to Indian desserts: Kaju pista ki barfi Kissmiss kheer These two I liked the most .

Treat your taste buds to some authentic Nizami fare all the way from Hyderabad. From the shorbas, to kebabs, to biryani and even the double Ka meetha, Goldfinch has got them as authentic as possible. And how do I say this, my recent trip to Hyderabad and having tried in almost every place that is authentic as can be. Kick start the unlimited buffet spread by sipping into shorba or paya, then perhaps much on the chats: an Indian amuse bouche! They also have a live pasta counter though not Nizami but definitely very good with their pastas. Then dig into the unlimited varieties of kebabs made of chicken, prawns, mutton, fish, pears, paneer, mushroom, corn, pineapple, aloo and more! The meat I hear from my friends across the table is melt in the mouth. The paneer us really soft and we'll flavour. But what completely floored me was the aloo! Spicy, tangy, rich in flavour the aloo skewers were definitely one of the best tandoori items I've ever tasted. The biryani was definitely a major attraction, which is what Hyderabad is majorly famous for. But what took my heart away were the subzis & koftas. Every vegetarian main course there in the cheffin dish was to die for. The paneer kofta curry, Nizami sabji, mushroom Kadai, and even the Dal served with hot butter rotis actually transported me to the land of the Nizams. And at the end, to round off our meal we had a display of assorted desserts from gulsb Jamun, kaddhu halwa, cheesecake, cakes, fruits, ice cream but I went by the authentic dessert of Hyderabad, the very famous Double Ka meetha. All this with extremely attentive staff and courteous waiters. The buffet is priced at 599/- for lunch and 699/- for dinner.

Even though we were in Mangalore since 1 year, we never had an opportunity go to to this place. Just a month before leaving we went to try out their lunch buffet. It turns out that we agree with all the good reviews written about this restaurant. Good ambience Friendly staff Good spread of veg and non veg dishes Amazing desserts And kebabs were worth the money.... As a whole it was an amazing experience and pocket friendly too... We are already making plans to visit this restaurant again with more people before we are shift out from mangalore...

They definitely have a really good variety of starters, chaats, main course and desserts.<br/>The chaats made at the live counter were really good! Loved the papdi chaat thoroughly.<br/>While we would have loved to see a bit more options in the main course section, the grill was definitely a win.<br/>The chicken, fish and prawns were cooked perfectly.<br/>It's a great place to go for a family occasion.<br/>the desserts were not upto the mark. Go for the Indian sweets among the options.

They have comfortable seating arrangements and they even have live grills. But the prawns and fish served here are not really fresh. I was not satisfied with the food here .

Excellent food good hospitality<br/><br/>Monday we went to kabab studio for the first time we don't have any idea about buffet dinner..the girl name babitha was very helpful the way she described about the buffet dinner was really amazing. The starters start with well prepared kebabs of Vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. It is served hot and placed on charcoal burners on table after that main course and desert.. Really bad food despite being expensive, prawns was spoiled like anything , fish on bbq was really bad , really poor service by the staff . Food was bland and tasteless , mutton biryani was full of bones , only thing good was the deserts being frank . Appoint some staff who have got some good courtsey to greet the customers and be with the customers for their needs . I was not served with manything i asked ... very slow service though .

Buffet style restaurant. The starters are the best which is unlimited. Consists of kebab items of chicken, fish, prawns.<br/>For main course, the dessert section are good <br/>Cost per head—-800 Rs
Neil Pinto
Wide range of grilled meat and veggies, <br/>The ambience is very good 👍🏻 especially on days with live music it's a added treat. <br/>The food is very tasty and worth trying out. <br/>I wish the main course would be better. <br/>Pricing is ok, could be reasonable when compared to other unlimited buffets in town.<br/>Overall it's a good restaurant and recommended.
Narmada HN
Loved their Buffet!<br/><br/>However, taste of veg grills could be improved. And please add Chicken Biriyani next time instead of mutton! And maybe few more dishes for main course.<br/><br/>Desserts - The best! I loved all the fruits, pastries and ice-creams that was kept. So many to choose from!

The ambiance is good and really peaceful. <br/>We reserved a place for 11 people for 1:30 pm. When we reached there at 1:15 pm the place was all filled had to wait for an hour. We got a table at 2:30 and hardly an hour was left to enjoy the food because the kitchen closes at 3:30 pm. The starters were served hot although not everything on the menu was served. The main course was fine although the Chinese dishes were almost empty and we could not taste all the desserts.<br/>I really feel that the place should be expanded and please do abide by the reservation rules when someone reserves please make sure that a table is available for them at the right time.
Shashank Ravi
We went with a lot of expectations but not upto the mark. The food was alright but the service was slow. Mutton seekh kabab was very tasty. There could have been more varieties of kababs.

I remember the first time I came to Kabab Studio, it was a great experience. The kababs are steaming hot and the taste is superb. Although a little expensive, but it's worth to eat here once in a while. The buffet is a nice spread of Indian and continental food. I live their desserts, it's hard to avoid those delicious pastries and Gulab jamuns.
Mary
It is a barbeque place which serves a wide variety of kebabs which taste pretty good<br/>The main course has a wide spread<br/>There can be an increase in the number of desserts served<br/>It is a bit pricey

Can we have shrimps served too please ?<br/>Chicken variety and the buffet was good. Loved the spicy tikkas. Dahi vada was the best I ate with fresh and crispy Puri.<br/>All that we are missing at this place is the barbeque shrimps.
Abhishek Sharma
The food was not that much great, too much oil in mutton biriyani, the desserts were not so fresh. The custard was dry. Friendly waiters and staff.<br/>Good ambience, I like to suggest to play some good music.
Sonia Rodrigues
It's a restaurant with buffet format with live bbq counter right on your table. There are wide variety of Kababs ranging from Paneer, Mushroom, Fruits to Chicken, Fish, Prawns and so on. And then the entire lavish spread raginging from soups, salads, roti, gravy, rice to chaats and dessert counters. Quick and efficient service.

My favorite joint. Friendly staff, relaxing ambience, decent spread of vegetarian and non vegetarian food, better in the evenings and weekends. Guaranteed you’ll like atleast one dessert dish among the spread. Value for money!

To begin with, this is one of the luxury hotels. Most of the time place will be filled with families. <br/>The starters here were chicken, fish, prawns and mutton. Seafood was too good! <br/>Main course was also good. <br/>The servers are polite and friendly. <br/>

First time when I visited this restaurant I felt it really good in 2015 ..starts were awesome even main course ..sevice ...all was fine <br/><br/>But my recent visit disapointed ..waiters aren't friendly ..grills weren't hot ...chicken was not good ..waiters wre lethargic to serve second round of starters..i felt quality of starters was reduced ....<br/>Because main course was good ..i am giving 3 stars...

This is an amazing place for buffet lovers...<br/>They have a lot of variety...<br/>Everything was good, but the must try is sea food as it is mangalore..

Previous dining experience good, considered the best among Mangalore an hotels.Unfortunately lacks the takeaway service. The help desk not helpful at all. Wouldn’t recommend as other hotels provide this facility.<br/>

Value for money food. The standard that has been set by this place is really high and there are very few places that can match this place in Mangalore.

First of all this place is very calm and ambient. The food is delicious. The only thing that's negative about this place is the service. They delay a lot sometimes. But except for that I think it's a nice hangout place or even a good place for a family get-together.

Had almost 3 meals here , and most of them tasted great ...they have plenty of varieties in both veg and non veg! Must try is obviously seafood..as it is mangalore :P<br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Service : 5/5<br/>Food : 4/5

Restaurant is situated inside Goldfinch hotel, It's a good place for dinning with your friends and family members. Grab your seats before 1.30 PM specially when you are going with 5+ more people. Kabab is served unlimited as starters, than rest is as usual what you get in all buffet restaurants main course, curries,Indian breads, salads, deserts, ice cream. But I would suggest Kabab studio to change there menu, bring some new dishes, Since I'm a frequent customer to this place, I'm well aware of the menu and also bored of eating same dish every time I visit. Ambience is good, value for money 3/5, overall it's a good place for dinning in Mangaluru.<br/><br/>Regards,<br/>ABHIRAJ

Th food is good but unlike barbeque nation the choices aren't great and more over not once but many times I have had a bloated feeling after eating here.<br/><br/>
What&#039;s In Your Menu.?!
Let’s be honest- I’m writing this review in pertaining to this restaurant which is in UDUPI (Branch of Gold finch).<br/><br/>As stated it’s a 3 💫 hotel and this restaurant will definitely will keep up ur expectations.<br/>As they were having Biryani festival we ordered 2 kinds of biryani- Hyderabadi and Thalassery. <br/>I liked Hyderabadi the most as other one was like home made.<br/><br/>Starters we ordered Indonesia Satie and Chicken pepper wherein pepper was more tendered and 🌶.<br/><br/>Overall it was a great 🥘 and worth trying.

this place has a nice variety of starters and grills<br/>the main course is appreciable <br/>Ambience is amazing. Friendly staffs welcome you with a welcome drink<br/>The biryani was tasty.  and many varities of deserts

If you love buffet and unlimited eating, this is the heaven on Earth for you.<br/><br/>Ambience is amazing. Friendly staffs welcome you with a welcome drink. I got watermelon juice and it was pretty okay. For vegetarians they serve mushroom, paneer and charred veggies and for meat eaters, chicken tikka, fish and chicken kalmi. <br/><br/>Chicken kalmi is the highlight for me. They marinate with Indian spices and grill it. Juicy and spicy, perfect for your tummy. Thier main course changes based on any occasions or special days. I did not like the pasta, it was bland for my liking. However, Indian food tasted good. <br/>Even they have live counter, where you get unlimited panipuri.<br/>And there are many pastries, ice creams and my favorite Gajar ka halwa. Do try out halwa with ice cream. It enhances halwa's taste.<br/><br/>Overall it was a great experience.

Okay, So I first tried the food way back in 2014. Since then I make it a point to eat at least one meal here when I am in Mangalore.  I have tried many different items on the menu during my various visits and not once have I been disappointed!  Special mention to the kebabs and desserts!
Debpratim Sarkar
Came here on my birthday with a group of friends and the food made sure that I enjoy the day. The kebabs are amazing. The biryani was tasty. They have a good collection in the dessert part as well. The 'chamcham' was good.
Fahad
No much vegetarian varieties, all BBQ items were soaked with Mangalore Red Masala & Mushroom with Green Masala paste. It was very spicy and one of the waiter told that they cannot change it to less spicy. We approached another waiter, he brought the same BBQ pineapple with less spicy. <br/><br/>Main course was not that great. Pasta was soggy. The Punjabi curries were spicy too. Only the sweets and deserts were good. <br/><br/>Live music was too sad. Better the keep some instrumental music. <br/><br/>Live grill was kept on the table just for namesake, no smoke or steam from the grill. Most of the items were served to the plate instead of grilling.<br/><br/>Overall Very disappointing.
Lyston Fernandes
Grills are not so great. No much variety when it comes to starters. Main course is very rich at taste and delicious. But when you are at live grill, one prefers to have starters.

Food : 4.5/5<br/>Service :4/5<br/>Ambience :3.5/5<br/>Price : 3.5/5<br/><br/>Then food is amazing , it's better that BBQ nation when it comes to taste , the main course is excellent, starters are good and the meat is tender compared to BBQ nation which is usually burnt when they serve , desserts are good , but needs to be improved .<br/> <br/>Off late 2018 their service has drastically come down , the starters have reduced to one type in chicken and fish and that too they serve very little unless and until u to ask to give ex : one skewer chicken and one skewer Fish person and then they don’t come for a long time for the next round .<br/><br/>When asked to get chaats they don’t get them.<br/><br/>@kabab studio why is that you have drastically lowered the quality of service ?
Fayaz Sayed
Good for family or group party ... Compared to barbiqu nation the options of ice creams are less but u get good chats, the starters are tasty ... Good staff ..
Avantika Prabhu
have visited this place twice wen there was no bbc nation in the town. but then this place has a nice variety of starters and grills but the complimentary tandoori piece. the main course is appreciable and the dessert section was my favourite with yum pastries.totally worth the price and visit!

When you want to have a live-grill & buffet but you don't prefer Barbeque Nation, then Kabab Studio is the place you are looking for..!<br/><br/>Tasty and Yummiiee food varities..On & Off the grill.<br/><br/>Varieties of Starters, Main course and mouth watering Desserts..! 😍<br/><br/>Nice experience. I don't know how this restaurant is now but back in 2011/12 when there was no Barbecue Nation in town - it was a great place for a solid barbecue buffet for a fairly reasonable price. The options were plenty and if you stuck to the barbecue items you'd have your hands full literally. A decent range of desserts as well. <br/><br/>The breakfast buffet during the morning is what im more find off. Back into he day we are to our heart's content (mashed potato+Mlore buns and Omlettes being the best) for 250 and now 350. Best breakfast buffet in town! <br/><br/>Food - 4/5<br/>Ambience - 4/5<br/>Service - 4/5<br/>VFM - 4/5<br/><br/><br/>

Good food. Excellent ambience. Thank you staff for putting up with our children. Starters and main course and desserts are all good. Loved the fish starter very much.

D Best place at Mangalore to have Kababs !! Its just mouth watering !! Buffets are awesome !! Nice ambience and Friendly staffs !! Professionally Touch !!

Tried the dinner buffet<br/><br/>Soup was tasty.<br/><br/>The kabab starters was awesome, especially prawns.<br/>Fish was also good, however chicken felt a little bit hard.<br/><br/>Salads looked and was delicious.<br/><br/>For main course, while they had many options, nothing was too interesting and I settled with the biryani and it was brilliant,- reminded me of the biryani I had in paradise Hyderabad.<br/><br/>Didn't try dessert - so nothing on them, though there were options from Indian to western to icecream<br/><br/>Though at 800+ after taxes, won't recommend for people looking for value for money.<br/><br/>Overall good experience<br/>
Dr Neeraj D
Best buffet till date.<br/>The assortment of items, ambiance and everything was just awesome.<br/><br/>Would visit the place again and again and highly recommend it to all binge eaters.

The best kebab I have ever eaten <br/>It's fresh and too good <br/>The variety is really good <br/>The fruits that get grilled yummmmmm<br/>The perfect place after eating food you can say " if my stomach is happy 😊 I am happy "

The restaurant has a good ambience. It is vegetarian friendly. They have live barbeque which is amazing. The starters are very good. Main course however is just mediocre. Desert and other accompaniments are decent. Good for a one time experience.

Coming from places like Delhi and Mumbai...I surely had high expectations with Kabab Studio. Kabab Studio is on the lines of BBQ Nation. I know nothing can beat BBQ Nation but one at least has got some high expectations when it comes to food. Right? So...FORGET IT. No welcome drinks....Bar menu will be provided for only when you ask for it. Otherwise they don't even mention it. Now let's come to food. Only 2 varieties of Veg starters. 3 varieties of Non-Veg starters. That's all. And they don't even ask you if you wanna repeat those. You need to ask them. Having said that...their buffet menu is OKAYISH. Decent varieties in both Veg and Non-Veg. But some food items I found to be NOT FRESH. Seemed as if they had prepared in the morning. I mean who keeps Pasta in buffet? They're supposed to prepare fresh pasta dishes. They have a live counter. And guess what you get there? CHAT's. Yes...that's right. Just CHAT's. That's soooo....disappointing. They charge Rs.749 per person. But what they serve and what they have isn't even worth Rs.500. Now you know why i gave just 2.5 stars. My advice would be....KEEP OFF. And last but not the least....thy have LIVE MUSIC. One guy with heavy southie accent singing sad hindi songs. Better go to KABAB STUDIO with your EAR PLUGS ONN.

Located near to Jyothi Circle in Mangalore, the place good for buffet foods. It has a grill on the tabke. Serves varieties of Kababs and grilled fruits. The Murg Akbari Biryani is nice along with the Murg Laalmirch Chooza. The Murg Zafarani Kabab is soft and succulent. Multani Jhinga is a must try, it's soft and tender inside and crispy on the outside. The main course section has lots of varieties along with the desserts.

Much on the same lines as BBQ nation.....so my comparison will be with the same..... no options in complimentary drink......staff were too reserved.....wish they were more proactive and interactive.....Mangalore being famous for its variety in seafood it's disappointing to have no prawns throughout the menu..... starters could have been better....just 3 varities- 2 chicken and 1 fish starter..... and just one green chutney to go with..... no prawns or mutton in the starters..... 3-4 varities in veg starters....soup was okay..... maincourse....in non veg had one hyderabadi chicken one nawabi gosht both were decent..... tawa fish..... disappointing...... and a few non vegetarian salads..... that was all for meat lovers........vegetarians had a better spread pasta, noodles,pulav.....Chole, veg kohlapuri,2 types of dal , some corn and aloo dish....babycorn which was meant for noodles didn't compliment it well.....rotis and other tadoori breads.... dessert was again average...... ice cream was just milky.....all melting away..... costed 700(all inclusive) per person..... might as well spend it in BBQ nation

This place is just another restaurant which serves you Barbeque food just like Barbeque Nation. I went with my two cousins as i wanted to go here since long time. Ambience is decent, perfect setup for bbq restaurant. Coming to food Starters and Desserts are the reason I headed to this place, so when starters are served in your table you expect your grill never be empty but in kabab studio it was other way around. We had to request the Captain to serve us and had to remind again and again what we wanted. Starters taste was good but such a poor service really made it a bad experience. For main course just had Biryani and it was very good not sure about rest of the items. Desserts can never disappoint you, so our mood was bit cheered by some yummy desserts. <br/><br/>Overall experience was Average as service had disappointed me big time. I feel if this place wants to pull crowd and need to give good competition to Barbeque Nation in Mangalore they need to improve their service big time as cost is somewhat same in both the places.

Had a lot expected form Kebab studios but to be honest felt wanting. For the name Kebab Studios, the range of starters on offer are bit less. Even in taste they were just above average. What i liked was their main course as it was well prepared and delicious. Desserts were good especially the Halwa. Tried Papri Chaat from their Chaat counter which was again average.<br/><br/>Ambiance of the place was very good and restaurant feels spacious. Service was good but slightly slow for veg starters and had to remind them twice for breads :P. <br/><br/>I will give thumbs up for their main course which i really liked, and would like to have a bit more options in starters.

A typical barbeque place as the name suggests..Great ambience and the place was pretty good.. Kebabs were the best as the spices have been right to point unlike some places.. Starters were good too .. Buffet menu had offered a good menu.. Friendly and co-operative staff with chefs coming personally and getting opinions on the food .. Highly recommended for family and friends

Not up to the expectations. <br/>Food was quite decent. And the interior is pretty neat and classy. But the service is what disappointed me.<br/>The time taken to refill our plates were a little too much and also the staffs are not friendly. Dont know if they are always the same or was surprisingly moody that day but they sure did gain some bad attention. <br/>Covering up, not worth the hype and price.

Enjoyed the BBQ, Taste was awesome. staff approach was excellent. there should have been WiFi for the customers. Food menu is required in the table, so that customers will be aware of availability of food items. and also food was little expensive compared to my 1st visit. Other than that it was excellent, will be visiting again. Thank you

Always a regular during my visit to mangalore, this centrally located restaurant has a wide spread that cannot disappoint anyone. The barbecue grills are nice and highly recommended the prawns as its fresh as it can get. <br/>The staff is courteous and satisfactory cleanliness.

So the efforts and the improvisation brought by Kabab studio by taking my previous review into consideration made me change my review and today after visiting there again was fruitful like the kababs were much more better as compared to what I had before, main course I liked last time and this time also and the desert yes there was hell lot improvisation as compared to what they served me in last visit, it was really tasty especially the moongdal halwa and black current mousse and last but not the least their hospitality was hatsoff for which I would like to give 1 point extra, so the overall experience was really good and my friend said one more thing "inki service ne aaj dil khush kar dia"<br/>My previous review in which I gave 1.5 rating~ (Kabab studio didn't reached till my expectations, first of all as it was a buffet so there should be varieties of veg and nonveg starters which was not available but whatever starter they served was fine in taste, talking about the main course in that soup was a disaster but the murg biryani and nonveg curries was good and last but not the least the deserts, about that I can only say 1 thing that it sucked till the core actually I liked after mint more than the deserts, service and ambience was good but I felt that my money got wasted today....)

Was hunting down a place in Mangalore which offered good north indian buffet. I was totally taken by surprise when i see the place its just fab, the ambience is just worldclass and the food is as good as perfect. Just one word Value for money.

Awesome kababs + awesome service = Value for money.<br/>The ambiance is good. And The service is best ever. Kababs were best and the main course were also good. Non Veg starter is much better then veg. and has many variety. Even the main course menu is also good and has many variety. Along with north indian main course there is a live counter for chat i.e pani puri, sev puri, dahi puri, papdi chat as well as a live counter for pastas. The dessert part is okish. And if you don't bother about the dessert than this place is perfect to have a heavy buffet meal.

Service & hospitality was sooper . If your really hungry!!! Best place to visit . Fudz ozum yummy ...... Best buffet place in Mangalore.....
Bharath Bhat
Good ambience and service. The chicken starters were really good. Followed by prawns. The main course was not that great. The variety is a little less compared to the price. There is also a live chat / pasta counter. The chats are not great though. The deserts are a little disappointing. I was expecting more varieties but its just the usual vanilla with a choice of some sauce or carrot halwa.

Been to this place twice. And wasn't disappointed. The best place in Mangalore to have some juicy, yummy kababs. The best is mushroom and veg (I'm a Vegan, so options are limited). And the best fruit kabab is pineapple. The buffet is always good. Decent variety and mouth watering desserts. Well natured servers. Cool ambience.<br/><br/>Taste: 4/5<br/>VFM: 4.5/5<br/>Ambience: 4/5<br/>Service: 3.5/5<br/>

Was a very good place but they havent kept up with the other restaurants who are coming up in mangalore. Would go only if other options are not an option.

Good place to have BBQ style food in mangalore. The place was pretty good having a decent ambiance. Kebabs were awesome, so we're the starters. Buffet menu has plenty to offer. The chefs were friendly and they personally come to u to get ur opinion on the food. A good place to recommend for family and friends...

Well I had been to this place a couple of times. To start with, let me walk you through the ambience.. The restaurant has good and comfortable seats. The lighting is very pleasing and the fresh blast of lemon grass inside the restaurant would make you feel rejuvenated. I would give a 4 for the ambience. Coming on to the quality of food, it was well above the average marks. It is advised to go for a buffet. For Non Vegetarians, there's only 6 kinds of starters available, which includes 2 vegan starters too. The Vegans would have to stick to limited starters. Well there's option of variety of Chats available.... Tastes good too. The seekh kebab they serve is not that great... The drumstick and the tandoori ones are really lip smacking. For the main course, one has a wide variety..... Right from mutton biriyani, fish curry, mutton curry, paneer delicacies, Indian Breads and lot more.... The salads are another good thing to try on.... You can tease your palates with these wide range of salads. The best thing is the dessert section.. They keep changing their dessert menu.... Gulab jamuns here would melt as soon as you put 'em in your mouth. The best combination with the gulab jamuns are the vanilla ice cream they serve. One can also find shahi tukda, carrot halwa, blackcurrant mousse and a lot more. The buffet is priced at around 700 including tax per person. It's worth every bit you pay.

A typical barbecue place. The starters are great... lots of variety for bot vegetarians and non vegetarians. The main course is fine... but then who relishes main course when u have a may starters. There is also a live chat counter that makes 1-2 chats. These chats are not something out of this world.. but a welcome change from all the tandoor around. The desserts are slightly disappointing as in most buffet places.. mainly due to the repetitive nature. Everything chocolate... everything baked n so on. They have a really friendly chef. .. He actually came to our table... asked for feedback... and tweaked a few dishes to suit our taste. A nice experience overall.
Prathik Pai
The ambience is good.. The food is good and the taste is better..the hospitality we received was also good.. The one thing which was a bit disappointing was the starters..there was no variety..there were only 2 items for barbeque, we hadn't expected only 2 items for starters on Sunday noon,so that was disappointing.. Overall a good place to hog..

One of the worst experience. Not worth the money. Taste of food was okay. Hospitality was very poor. Service was worst. Inspite of reservation in advance I got a table at just at entrance cut off from air conditioning and proper service.

Visited Kabab Studio for the first time on 20th March and was left greatly disappointed after the first 30 minutes. Initially we had so many servers ask is what we would like to have and got stuff pretty quickly. After that, they took their time to get what we asked them to. It worsened to a point that they stopped coming by or tables and standing far away chatting asking themselves and when called and asked to get more barbeque they took their own sweet time and kept getting only one skewer of each for every request. It was insulting to be treated this was and the only reason I've even given 2 stars is because the food was good although the spread isn't as large as Barbeque Nation. You should seriously take a leaf out of Barbeque Nation's approach on serving and attending to people when you are offering a barbeque buffet experience. I doubt I'll be visiting you again anytime unless dragged there but I hope you can improve on the serving attitude front so that others won't have such bad experiences.

Situated in Goldfinch hotel, the kabab studio was the go-to place for buffet in Mangalore. With Barbeque Nation arriving in Mangalore I must admit I have not visited kabab studio since then. The decor inside is good and with the high ceilings gives it an airy and large feel. The spread is decent and quality of food is also good.

Of all the places I have tried barbeque Kabab studio is my favorite. Ambiance is good. Apart from the kebabs the buffet is usual. The first time visited there was live music that bothered us and felt a lil annoyed. But had a good experience in our next visit.

Stayed at the hotel for a day.<br/>The buffet spread was amazing.<br/>The dinner buffet was good but not worth the money.<br/>no much varieties in the grills.<br/>Nice ambiance

I got a chance to visit this place for lunch, it has a great ambience, amazing food, quite flattering service and is quite reasonably priced... Two thumbs up!!!

Location : just 2 min walk from jyothi circle.<br/><br/>Ambience was good, but i felt AC was not tat effective in the centre of dinning hall since i felt the hot air from the flame box which were occupied on the time i visited.<br/><br/>The next thing was hospitality could have still been better here,  I had to go in search of steward in order to find my dinning table (but in Grill box and Barbequenation of chennai branch as soon as we enter the steward rush to attend us immediately without giving us any time to look around for help, so i was expecting the same here) & when they serve kabab to table they could have got some timely feedback abt the kabab if i need it to be more spicy or less , since i felt the spicy level for me was a bit less.<br/><br/>The welcome drink was ok, a bit liquidy.<br/><br/>I love the mayonnaise here, fish , chicken kabab here.. The meat was fresh and tender..<br/><br/>Again wen talking abt desserts , it was strawberry flavour ice cream, but it was totally melted and lost it ice cream form , it was literally in semi liquid form. They should have replaced with a new pack since there were nearly 12-16 ppl eating in the dinning hall who have not yet completed their meal.<br/><br/>The price is acceptable, but not for water bottle . They charge 45rs for 20rs water bottle this is too bad.<br/><br/>Overall i had a lot of expectation on KABAB STUDIO but they failed to satisfy my expectation..

Ambience 4/5.<br/>Service 4/5.<br/>Food 4/5.<br/>Taste 3.5/5<br/>Desserts 2.5/5<br/>Actually guys I only had the starters but I liked it very much.<br/>I tried buffet but it was Okies type.

I came here after quite a few good recommendations from friends. But apart from the non veg kebabs nothing really stood out. The veg kebabs and the buffet left a lot to be desired. The waiters and the rest of the staff weren't very helpful, service took a long time and they took away our grill despite us placing an extra order.

Best Buffet in the city. The tikkas are so good that you will find it hard to balance the capacity in your stomach and make room for the main course. You will miss the maincourse many a times because you will be busy ordering more and more starters because they are so good. The main course is ordinary but better than most of the a-la-carte you can get in Mughalai restaurants around here as they seem freshly prepared. Desserts are kind of bland & dry but I don't care about that since I come here for the awesome starters. Almost worth the money.

A different buffet place in Mangalore, with amazing ambience where you can go with your family or friends, enjoy the food and have a great time. <br/>Have gone there 3-4 times for the buffet and I loved the variety of food they offered every time. Especially the salads, mutton seekh kebabs, prawns and the Mughlai Chicken items, also the dessert menu. However I didn't like the Biryani and other rice items that much, I've had better. But I'd definitely like to visit this place again. <br/>
