Recently visited Onyx and I must say this is one of the best places in Mangalore that has good food options and alcohol as well. The food options are great for both veg and non veg. The ambience of Onyx is immaculate for hanging out with friends and the food and drinks are fairly priced as well. The staff is very kind and responsive. Went for lunch during a weekday and I enjoyed the music as well as the vibe. They also have a good compound area for 4 wheeler parking just behind the building. Also, this place has good views which you can enjoy along with food :)

Super highly charged with energy of young boys and girls, ample seating place but try to seat in Central area gives u good views and make you also dance as the crowd in nearby, good food, good drinks, ample parking place down below. It was my first visit to ONYX Air Lounge & Kitchen. And I must say they have one of the best starter available taste-wise. We ordered one paneer item and onion rings and also two dry non- veg item. The taste of veg item was so good that I forgot all the other starters of my earlier visit to other pubs. The non-veg starter also looked very good. But I was not having non-veg hence I cannot comment on its taste. But my friend said that was also nice. The presentation of the food was done well. For the reference I have shared the photographs as well. The area is huge and not very crowded which I personally liked because of current Covid situation. The staffs were courteous as well. Since it was my first visit so I couldn't give 5 stars but if I get a chance to vusit there again, then based on my experience I can give 5 stars as well. From my this visit a must visit place and also music collection was nice.

I specifically ordered a “cheescake”. Well, this is definitely not a cheesecake. It’s a pastry. A cheesecake is supposed to have a layer of graham crackers and melted butter. I don’t see any of it here. Also, the portion is less for this huge amount of money. Highly disappointed.

I had given a call to this place around 3ish and reversed table for 4 for 28th December.<br/>They confirmed my reservation. <br/>I reached here by 6pm and we were told there is no reservation by our names.<br/>This is really pathetic! Not sure how the management works here with regards to reservation. I was expecting a proper reply in regards to why the tables were not booked when we called.<br/>Really pathetic experience I would say!!<br/><br/>Need to do a lot better.

The staff here is so ill mannered and do not know how to behave with this customers. They are disrespectful and lack normal courtesy to their customers. The manager was so shameless and rude. If they keep on behaving like this with their customers, soon they'll be left with no business at all. They should teach their staff some manners.

The waiter we had was hesitant to get a squeezed lime juice for the Vodka we ordered with Soda!! Food ordered took long and one dish was missing. We had to cancel and ask for the bill. Came out of the place hungry and 😡

Wow! Got delivered Chicken Lababdar the previous night. Everything from the packing to the quality of the food was amazing. The order got delivered in a cloth bag instead of the plastic ones given by many other restaurants and I have to appreciate ONYX for this initiative towards a plastic-free environment. The container that they provided was sealed all around the lid which ensured zero spillage. The moment I opened the package, I got an impression of how good the service of this restaurant could be.<br/><br/>Importantly, the quality of the dish was mindblowing. The thick and smooth gravy, loads of butter, soft and juicy chicken and the quantity, all of these deserves a 5-star.<br/><br/>There is a negative point though. While placing the order, I had requested them to make the gravy extra spicy. But, the gravy was not at all spicy and felt as if it lacked the flavours. Nonetheless, I had a pleasant experience with this restaurant and expect the same from my future orders too.

Very slow service. Ordered tequila shots and asked the waiter for lime wedges. He told us will take 25 min to get it. Ordered another shooter again same reply... 25mims. Horrible service on Saturday Evenings. Strongly recommend another place for ur Saturday parties.

Service in onyx was abysmal. After asking for some drinks in the middle of the evening I didn't get it at all even after reminding the stewards multiple times for the drink. Food was served cold and most of it was basically flavourless. Portion sizes are extremely small. Towards the end of the evening my bill charged me for the drinks I ordered and after asking the stewards again they said they couldn't remove the already billed amount. After that my drink arrived in minutes. Also they said they can't bill us with multiple credit cards. That's the first time I've ever heard it anywhere in India.. This place was personally a let down and more of an inconvenience. For the money I'm paying it was absolutely not worth it. Safe to say I won't be visiting this place again. Killed my entire evening.

Even after booking the table in advance the manager denied a table for us. He then gave a small table and gave a timeframe of half an hour only. Looks like they give importance only to rich VIP people. Normal people are taken for granted. Food is over priced. I would suggest people not to waste their money on such over priced and over hyped places.

Have been here a few times. The staff and service is below par. The waiters lack warmth and border on being unhelpful. Staff needs better training in hospitality.<br/>Food is quite good. This is presently the most happening place of Mangalore with mammoth parking space. Boy this place is huge and it's good for friends, couples and family as well, but note that weekend's is super busy with hardly any space.<br/>However, I didn't try any of their special liquor as I'm a conservative drinker who sticks to his regular bottled beer.<br/>In spite of advantages, I hope they improve their food as I tasted something in mutton and prawns and it tasted very ordinary...

Food is average for the price . But ambience and service is too good. Cocktails are very bad and I didn't like both my cocktails mai Tai and LIIT . Posted turkey slider was way too greasy , chicken vindaloo kabab was salty , chicken chimichanga was good and chicken BBQ pizza was pretty awesome , mustard broccoli kabab was more like boiled broccoli covered with spicy chilli and mustard paste!! LIIT was almost filled with ice cubes and Mai tai was sugar sweet 😑 which was supposed to be sweet and sour. Bartender should really learn how to make the common cocktails at least. Food isn't up to the mark. Presentation is good though!! Staff was kind and friendly.

Mac and cheese of Onyx is absolutely incomparable to any other place. So thick and delicious with crumbs of salted cheese on top with 2 breadsticks- it's a must try dish.<br/>The Chicken noodles - which is wok tossed chicken noodles with peppers is a simple yet tasty dish with adequate amount of chicken and omelette shreds.<br/>Also tried the chilly cheese chicken starter. Not spicy but tasty nonetheless and quite filling too.<br/>Overall great food quality, ambience is one of the best in Mangalore. Staff is usually a bit inattentive.

Onyx is a great place to hang out with friends..and family too! Have been there for dinner a couple of times. Soothing lighting, great music and really good food! Starters- churrasco kebab, tandoori schezwan chicken, cilantro chicken skewers. All were good. The ravioli with mushroom and tomato..the dough was a bit hard but then the flavour made up for it. Entrée- half BBQ and half Toscana, meat pizza with rum flaming. I'm a fan of thin crust pizza and so really like them here. Do try their euro plate which is chicken stroganoff topped with herb rice. Dessert- a must try is the mud cake with ice cream! Have tried a few mocktails here and was not disappointed. Go there on weekdays as service is pretty fast and you can take your own time to enjoy the food. Weekends get really crowded. Pricing is a little on the higher side..but as long as the food is good I'm not complaining! Overall a good experience.

They have a nice rustic ambience and every tables are placed perfectly and right distance which doesn't bother other customers. The seating was very comfortable and as the clock strikes 11PM the lights gets dimed and the place gets crazy with some awesome lights.<br/><br/>It was kind of self service for me the day I visited as the place was damn full and we had to get our own drinks from the bar counter and arrange for our starters from the stewards moving around.<br/><br/>They have an extensive food menu which provides a good fusion of global culinary cuisine. We tried lot of food there and some of them were just too good.<br/><br/>It has checked my all the parameters for a good place and Will I recommend it to others? I would suggest to make a reservation if you are planning to visit on weekends. ..... they have very good selection of cocktail ... they also have my best beer hooegarden..... nachos pizza.... and nutella shake is best for you if u prefer non alcoholic. .... will surely be back...

I was really impressed by this place at first. Their ambience was truly godly. One of the best I’ve seen around this area! But coming to the food, we were really skeptical about what to order. We ordered butter garlic prawns, Quattro formaggi pizza and cheese poppers. The butter garlic prawns were below average. The flavor wasn’t great and the prawns weren’t so fresh. The cheese poppers weren’t great either, though the presentation skills need credit! It didn’t taste like cheese at all. And lastly, we didn’t like the pizza. It was supposed to be a 4 cheese pizza and we could barely taste the cheesiness. So in all, we were really disappointed in their food. The only reason I’ve given a rating of 3 is because of the beautiful ambience that they’ve got. The one and only finest place to hang around Dakshina Kannada. Situated in the city of mangalore with ample parking space , The interior and quietly of crockery is above awesome. Pricing of food and drinks are very very reasonable and affordable for service they provide. Love their ghee roast and pizzas. A must try And. A must visit if u visit mangalore.

The best ambiance in town,good service (gets slow as the crowd increase) good brew and decent food, draught beer was excellent couldn't stop with one tower 😋 as the sun gets low the more beautiful the place with low lighting and good music.<br/>A good collection of mocktail and cocktail and food is also excellent.. I would suggest everyone to visit this place.<br/>Ps:- As the tag line goes "luxury made affordable" yes it is :)<br/>

This lounge is on the third floor and the view from their glass window especially during the night time is mesmerizing.Amazing place for a quick weekday get away.Staffs here are very polite and will help chose dishes according to your taste.They also have some interesting glasses to serve drinks in.Ghee roast chicken pizza and Peri Peri chicken popcorn is the Recommended dishes to try there.

I must say that this is one of the best lounge in mangalore , along with great food and beautiful ambiance it is just way to amazing to visit onyx  . I would recommend this place !

I loved the ambience and the service here. The onion rings lacked flavour even when eaten along with the vibrant green dip. The cheese balls/poppers were not very cheesy.<br/>The Green Apple Martini was the best that I have ever tasted and I would definitely go back for more

What an outstanding place to hangout with friends with some amazing food and drinks. I really loved this place. This was my first ever place to have vodka shots. Ambience is great. Only drawback that i can point out is that it closes early by 11:30pm only. We were not able to have our dinner. Otherwise whatever we have tasted was having great taste. On saturday nights it is very difficult to get a table.

Driving thru the city of Mangalore we did a quick check on the 4+ rated restaurants and decided to have our lunch at ONYX.<br/><br/>Ambience: The place has a great ambience and am sure it would look much better post sunset. Music is great. <br/><br/>Food: We ordered a pizza, yellow day, paneer and rotis; all were good. <br/><br/>Service: Very accommodating as we walked in at almost closing time for lunch. Been here for lunch with my colleagues for a quick lunch just to check the place out and obviously the food !!<br/><br/>We ordered 2 starters<br/>1.Tandoori lollipops was delicious bite.<br/>2.Chilli paneer which was good although I am not a paneer fan. The sauce at the bottom of the shot glasses was yum and presentation just awesome.<br/><br/>Then we had the usual Naan and Tikka masala - chicken and paneer and finished it off with Jeera Rice.<br/><br/>Ambience and view is really good n peaceful.<br/><br/>Will be coming back for a full fledged dinner and to view the night life.

Great place in Mangalore to hangout. Better Book a table during weekends bcoz it will be very much crowded and the management is very strict with Dress code especially during weekends. <br/>Some of the items to be tried:Laksa Soup, Peri peri Betki Fish, Batti ka Murg, Mutton Pepper, Crackling chicken, Euro Plate & Tawa Pulav

Had a lot of expectations as I had heard about it from a lot of sources. Tried out the recommendation from zomato choices. Crackling chicken was too oily, onyx king fries didn't look like something a king would have at all, it's like the cheese was calculated and poured over the fries = low quantity. The only decent item we got was the Toscano chicken pizza

Hailing from Delhi, ONYX surprised me to quite an extent! Finally the night life has opened it’s doors to Mangalore!! The staff is very prompt and polite. The food and drinks are reasonably priced considering the ambience ONYX provides. I tried ladies favorite drink, Cosmopolitan, and it was perfectly balanced! Sipped and enjoyed through the night. In terms of food, I tried the Kung Pao Fish, which was a treat my palette. The fish was fresh and the generous drizzle of cashews on top were a delight. For the entree’s, I chose the Vegetarian Penne Alfredo Sauce Pasta. Let’s just say I’ve had much better ones, but it wasnt too bad! They could’ve done better with the veggies in the Pasta, the mushrooms tasted great, but the broccoli and the zucchini had a weird taste to it. Decent ambience, great plating for food but food below average. Expensive for the quality of food served. It's like someone planned the menu well and then quit with someone else trying to just make it look like the original plans.

The staff in the lounge were very friendly. A screen displaying the cricket match alongside starters and booze is great. The parking space was huge.The dress code is mandatory and I really enjoyed the Tumblr quotes that were pasted on the walls

At last mangalore has got it own swag! <br/>Now don’t have to run all the way to Manipal for a posh night life! Rush to onyx, great ambience, loud good music and great food ! It’s nice how both families and youths party together there! Very spacious and well organised but can get crowded on party days!

The service of this place is extremely dissatisfactoy. In the end they switched off the lights even before it was their closing time! None of the people in the entire room was done with even eating food! We literally had to switch on flash and have our meals. They have other modes of letting know people that closing time is soon, could have announced or stopped the food and alcohol counter. Very bad service! <br/>Not only the glasses had some oil when something was poured in the glass, they were giving excuses that’s because of ice cubes but it’s obviously not true. The manager was rude to us too. <br/>Would not recommend this place to anyone JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR SERVICE!

A club on the weekends that transforms into a family dine-in on the weekdays. Classy is the word.<br/><br/>Service: No complaints.<br/><br/>Food: My personal favorites would be Prawn Kadi Pattha, Chicken Uruwal, Lemon and Garlic Fish, and Mushroom bites.<br/>What I like best about their food is the balance of flavors. Not too sweet, salty or spicy. Neither an overdose of sauces. Mild, yet flavourful. And the quantity is just right.<br/><br/>They also have a dessert counter and prepare your choice of ice cream right in front of you.<br/><br/>Price: When you walk in for the first time, the ambience has you assuming it's an expensive fancy place. Fancy, yes. Expensive, definitely not. Both the food and drinks are affordable. Infact a tad cheaper than other places.<br/><br/>One star less because they do have a huge parking lot reserved only for their guests, but for two-wheelers it's a bit of a hassle. But this place has become my go-to. Period.
