Review Punjab Da Pind - Mangalore

Suhail Mohammad (Lazylemon95)
First of all, the punjabi theme is quite an attraction. It has its walls covered with punjabi photos, vessels and also ceiling is done well. The glass used for drinking was a copper punjabi style. I loved the ambience. Ambience is at its best. Coming to service, staffs are so friendly with a smile. Lets get to the food. We ordered chicken cheese supreme, which is chicken strips stuffed with cheese and then cooked in a tandoor. It was cheesy, tender and well cooked. Seek kabab was a bit too spicy for me and tangdi kabab was also good. We ordered butter romali roti and it was as its name, thin and buttery. It was delicious we had 2 curries, chicken lababdar and kurcharan which was quiet good. Then we had pind special murgh, it was over flavoured and didn't go well. The aroma of spices was too much. For desserts we had shahithukda and last but not the least, the pan shot to end it. Unlike fingerbowls with lemon in other restaurants, here we had a vessel to wash hands with rose aroma water. It was quiet good. The overall experience here was really good. Would love to visit again. The food is good, ambience is great, service and friendly staffs.

One of the place I would visit again and again .the moment you enter the restaurant from the person who greets you as he open the door wide for you and the music that is going on in the background and the culinary etc will make you feel as you have entered the state of Punjab . The food is best and service is good . It’s always clean and kept ready for you . One of the best place to have a dinner. And the punch of the paan shots at the end is my favourite. And ya don’t forget to try their lassi , jhalebhi and cheese stuffed chicken supreme.
Hrishikesh Bhandarkar
One of the best restaurant in Mangalore with Punjabi dishes. The ambience is really great , the service is also good. The food quality has an eminent yum. Prawns chilly is the best thing I experienced here. Even the booking of table is available. This place is little crowded during night.
Varun Nair
This is a very good restaurant if your looking to eat some north Indian food ,the pors of this restaurant is that the food is tasty and the service is top notch and the ambiance is a total hit of Punjab. the only downside is that when it's crowded the wait is a bit longer than one would expect. This is one place everyone should visit for both non veg and veg food
Pawan Kumar B
One of most authentic place for North Indian especially Punjabi dishes. The place is made for Family dinner . Staffs are well behaved and friendly. Special Lassies are available. Recently food quality is bit reduced. Price is bit high , nice ambience.
Sanjay Dsouza
First things is the service is pretty good, good ambience and prices of food is also average and my personal favorite was the chicken handi and rest was good aswell . Coming to desserts ( faloodas, ice cream, milk shakes) which I felt are over priced . My say is try out everything except for the desserts .

I loved this place it has a very good atmosphere and the food is very good you get to taste the authentic north Indian food must try.

A nice time spent along with some exotic food with promised featured food. The best is the variety and taste of cousines. And the paan! Wow!

The restaurant has really good buttermilk. Arguably the best buttermilk I have tasted in Mangalore. The food was also really tasty. We ordered the Amritsari murgh, Amritsari malai kofta and tandoori roti. Spices are well balanced, really good chicken pieces!.. the staff were very nice. The interiors are also really well done.
Subin George (njansubin)
No comments to make as the taste of the food is awesome and finger licking. Its quite expensive thats the only back side but thats worth of paying. You get a feel of being in Punjab while tasting the food. Taste the Lassi for sure.
Kishor M.N
All north indian dishes as the name suggests offcourse. Very tasty food but little expensive. Staff here are humble.
erisso fernandes
The food is yumm. Nice to eat punjab food surrounded by punjabi environment😁🤗.

This authentic Punjabi restaurant is very close to Citi Centre. This is also very popular with local for their veg and non veg foods. You can also get some good deserts and try to choose better among one
Divya
Tried this place for lunch they have really good interiors and very comfortable seating. Wide variety of punjabi dishes available here . Waiter was little rude to us. Shahi thukra is my favourite here
Uchil
Had been here with my friends this place has very beautiful ambience but the staff was rude . Quantity of the food for the price was too less but the quality of the food was too good.

💞best place to have jalebi with rabdi... memories..💞

Went there after the much hype about cheese filled chicken. And yes it was definitely worth it. Been there many a times and everytime we made sure cheesy chicken is on our order. Few items to definitely try from their menu are mutton bhuna ghosth, malai tikka, chicken tikka and definitely their pan milkshake.
Suraj & Heloise
Had the Bhatkali biriyani here and the chicken was stale beyond all levels ... when we mentioned this to the waiter he said it may have been overcooked. Chicken can get dry if overcooked but never get mushy unless you guys were serving us Nihari 😑
Navaneeth Narayana
Pros: Tasty food.
• friendly service
Cons: expensive .

The ambiance and the presentation was great but the food didn’t justify to it’s ambience. Food was too salty to be consumed and left me disappointed.
Rahul Kamath
This place has lost its standard in terms of food as well as ambience. This place had the best food earlier, but now it’s worst of Worst! And the service rendered here is yet another disaster! Will never step in again.
Soumyacatherine
Bad food!! I have been in Delhi for more than a decade and have tasted a lot of North Indian cuisines. Please don't spoil Punjabi food name... Taste is nowhere near Punjabi cuisine. Really disappointed!!
Swayam Vaibhav
A definite food stop for north indian and punjabi food lovers. The taste, richness and the aroma of the food is exceptional. Dont go buy the small proportions, they are very very good and will easily fill you. So it's very easy to order in excess. The menu has descriptions of each dish so you dont have to ask the staff for an explanation. The staff themselves are very friendly and inviting.

Amazing ambience. Great service. Food quantity and quality is amazing. They give compliment on drinks as well. Seating arrangement are great.

My last visit to this place was good. But recently the standards have gone down. It seems like the staff dont care anymore about the restaurant. There is lack of staff and management, when asked about lack of employees, I was told due to election they have taken a week off. The air condition was turned off for some reason and they were using air coolers instead. The waiters completely ignored us and I had to call the manager to place my order. Also they were completely inexperienced in serving, napkins / quarter plates were not provided and they served starters, main course all at once. As for the food, rotis were hard and burnt, chicken dish was filled with more veggies and less chicken. Its just sad to see such a fine restaurant deteriorate its food and most importantly the service they provide in a hospitality business.

for more detailed reviews please visit my Insta Page @ sykoblogger

This is a HALAL place

ideally located in the Mischief Mall of Mangalore.

tried the Spring rolls both Chicken and Veg and a Veggie Curry with Rotis.

Food is alright and can be visited once.

However, they lose points on Customer service, as the service is quite slow.

They need to make sure the rotis served are not so overly cooked and burnt.

The veggie curry which we tried was good.

One is the fine punjabi restaurants in Mangalore. It is located in heart of the city and easy to reach too. You might face a problem while parking you vehicle. I just love their masala pappad and wide ranges of roties. Chicken starters are worth the try.

Punjab da Pind is not a place, its an emotion!😍Food is amazing. My most favourite was the Cream of Mushroom soup. The ambience is colourful and happy. The staff is courteous, especially the person with the Punjabi attire who says"Sasriyakaal ji"with a nice smile. You feel welcome. The taste of the food could be improved.Been there many times...Lovveee it!

The service is terrible and the waiters are rude. The cutlery is stained and dirty. The kitchen area stinks. The food is overpriced. And if you're just a bunch of college students, they don't care enough to listen to your complaints. It used to be a good place. Not anymore.
Raksha N.k
The food was not very good and nothing on the menu was available this time when I went to the restaurant! Hopefully will get to see better service and food..
#patheticfood

I would have loved to give more stars as I am a big fan of punjabi food but this place was such a big let down. There was no lassi as they had run out of yogurt. There was no raita too for biryani for the same reason
The air con was switched off. It looked like they are going to shut down this place.
Above all food was below average. I saw the Zomato ratings and then went there but was so disappointed as it wasn’t even an average place to go for lunch.
Had a terrible experience over here. We were waiting for our food for over two hours and the starters didn't come itself. Half of the items in the menu weren't available itself. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Rayana Rose Sabu
Beautiful place. Amazing food. Melt in your mouth kebabs and scrumptious Lucknowi biriyani. The Mango Lassi deserves its own award. The Murgh Makhani and butter naan are the classics.

This placed used to serve some excellent food, sadly the standards have fallen so bad.

First of all, the AC barely gives out any sure, forget providing cooling. For those who know Mangalore heat, you know how stuffy and uncomfortable this can get. The floor manager and waiters don't care if you're sweating like a pig and struggling to sit.

Coming to the food, our veg biriyani smelly strongly of non veg (seafood) and as a vegetarian, it wasn't possible to eat. When we told the waiter about it, 2 managers and the waiter came and put their noses into the container right at our table and told us it's fine. They even gave us ugly looks like it's our fault (God forbid we ask good food and service!). We couldn't eat it anyway, so we asked them to take it back and asked for the bill. A tiny part of me thought they'll have the good sense to not charge for the item considering we had not even eaten 2 spoons, but no, they did. We asked the waiter, he said 'what can I do, it's all the managers call'.

Never coming back. Sad how a good restaurant has fallen to such deplorable standards.
Prasad G Acharya (Prasad)
I am writing this review as I am paying my bill at this horrible restaurant.

Terrible food and worse than terrible service. Veg Biriyani smells of fish and when you bring this to the management's notice. All of them put their nose in the food and smell it in front of us and falsely reassure us that everything is okay and place the same food back on our table.

They even charged us for that Biriyani. Even basic service standards are not followed here.

Nice Punjabi themed restaurant . Good variety of food .
Liked the kurkure , tandooru mushroom and pamnee strterr . Sarson ka saag was also good . Lassi was a lil too sweet for our taste . Loved the paan shot .
One thing that could improve and that's the reason I gave 1 star less was service . There was no energy at all .
Had to repeatedly ask for water etc and also to clean the tables . We were a group of 11 and thought we could have been better served . Management ,pls kindly look into this .coz this place has a huge potential to make it really big in Mangalore.

Recently went to Punjab da pind and tried quite a few dishes I ordered Chicken manchow soup, chicken Tikka ,cheese filled golden chicken and finally chicken mughlai with roti. I absolutely liked the chicken mughlai 😍😍 . Would definitely try it again. One thing I noticed was the desserts are quite costly. But I suggest you to try rest of the stuff.

Ambience : 4.5 ⭐

Price:4 ⭐

Service:4.5 ⭐

Food : 4 ⭐

Ambience is just amazing, they have come up with a new concept in the city...... ✌️The food is delicious with a North Indian touch in south. The service is appreciated and its a Must Gooo Place for North Indians.... 🥂

The food here is lip smacking, specially their green pudina chutney !! It's refreshing 😍 Their reshmi kabab is the best 😋 and their briyanis are very filling.

Authentic punjabi food... kesar pisteywali lassi pedhe di naal comes in a huge glass and is thick and filling... also a peda at the bottom... ask for sharing the lassi cos it fills you .... for starters chicken kurkure and chicken cheese supreme... melts in your mouth... cheese nan is slightly thick n difficult to bite into... the butter chicken was tangy and perfect in taste with 3-4 pieces of chicken only... best part is the desert... mini jalebis with rabdi... best ever ending to a yummy meal...

Met a pathetic waiter. He did not what many of the items are. Was looking for a special mocktail. I told contents in it. He said he does not know any of it. When asked him to ask the chef about which item it is he arrogantly said that he cant ask the chef. Order whatever u want. Then manager came nd clarified that item. If manager hadnt come then I would have walked out of that restaurant without ordering anything.

Every time I've passed by this road, I wanted to visit this place but was missing out on it. This time around I didn't let that happen. Visited this place for dinner n I will say I will never regret going here. Quite welcoming n v have a guy greeting you in Punjabi dialect. Felt really nice.. Felt was in punjab. I can never resist soup when i end up seeing it on the menu. Had manchow soup.. Before I get yelled at for having Chinese soup in a Punjabi cuisine, I must admit it was insanely super!! I was kicking myself after ordering the soup.. Thinking why would I order a Chinese soup here.. Later I had to take my kicks back.. Superb!! Loved every drop of it. Wanted to try breads n curries, but decided against it n had dalkichdi.. I will say this was the best ever dalkichdi that I've had till date.. Rich taste!!! Finally they gave me a paan shot drink. This was complimentary.. Will say it tasted divine. Amazing ambience n this is surely a must visit again.. Their quantity is good too. No complaints on that.. Overall I was left more than satisfied.. Perfect way to end the night in Mangalore.. You guys rock!!!

Food, ambience and service - all turned out really good. Had a proper Punjabi feel at the place with water served in those glasses and the lassi tasted really good. From the starters, I loved one with cheese stuffed in chicken, not quite sure of the name but I have posted the pic, definitely a must try here. Didn’t really love the main course though. Was worth trying the place just for the lassi and starters 👍

This place is Punjabi with a modern twist. The staff is courteous and prompt. We ordered Anari murgh tikka which was good and their speciality cheese stuffed chicken supreme which was very cheesy however very dry.The mattha ordered to wash it down was refreshing.Main course we ordered Murgh kurchuran which was a smoky delicious thick curry with onions and Murgh Amritsari curry and chicken dum biryani.paan shots were a perfect finish.Ambience is ok albeit a lil cramped. They have a high chair however it's for babies older than a year. The price is a little on the higher side however its justified by the generosity in quantity.

Good place for family lunch/ dinner. Nice ambience. We had ordered Cheese stuffed Chicken Supreme. Combination was awesome and was something unique. Prices are on the higher side compared to other options available in mangalore. Recommend

Service was very worst, starter came after 40 minute after repeatedly and staff was advising it will in some time as per managers restaurant is busy but there was only 3 tables guest was there. Restaurant interior was very dull not maintained, restaurant kitchen was open near to men toilet and it not seeing hygiene.
Nehal Mohammed
Food was delicious, service was good. Starters which me and my friends ordered were delicious, even main course -dum ki biryaani was gud. At the end we had mind-blowing lassi which was more than enough to fill our tummy. At last we got pan shot as a compliment which was moderate. Had a nice experience in Punjab da pind. Wanna try their delicious food again.
Lizabel Kiran
I really had good experience the first time i visted. So now any occasion i come here with my friends. The PROBLEM is that i wish they provide us KNIFE with spoon⋔. It would be easier to eat starters with it. As i usually use spoon as knife to cut the meat. Hope they do that
Shwetha Vadnal
Visited this place along with family. Nice ambience.. for starters we ordered paneer Tikka multani which was absolutely tasty.. coming to the mains we ordered tawa roti, paneer lababdar which was too sweet!!! and dal Punjabi which was bland too... quantitywise One gravy would be enough for two people.
Suhaan
Been to this place today, place was good but dishes are overpriced. On the way to wash had a look on kitchen which was worst than the roadside dhaba. Food is average.
Nithin Kamath
Nice place. Liked the food taste.. Reasonable prices.. But service is really very slow.. need to speed up the service.. Hopefully will see faster service on my next visit..

Food - 3.5
Music - 3 (mostly Punjabi songs)
Ambiance - 3.5
Staff - 3.5
Must have drinks - Glass of lassi
Must have food - Dal makhani .
Good for the people who prefer North Indian Punjabi food.

Came here with high hopes. But after waiting for more than half an hour and having seen cockroaches run around the seats I have lost my appetite as well as patience. This place is just a hype; not worth your money.

Tl;Dr really bad service and cockroaches.
I have visited this place quite a no of times.Loved the ambiance n the courteous staff. It took sometime for them to serve but we had gone leisurely to spend time taking n eating.so it was not a worry.Good food, although with limited choices for a vegetarian.

Latest review :
I had been here few days back with my friends who eat non veg. They ordered Chicken lolipop, Chicken Handi, Murg Tikka masala. According to them they were okayish. I ordered paneer amritsari which was really good and filled with paneer. For breads we tried rotis, missi roti, amritsari gobi and aloo kulcha which were pretty good. We had sweet lassi and i don't think it's that worthy. Nandini lassi which costs 12 rupees is probably better than their lassi which is too overpriced (100 rupees for a glass). Also their kitchen stinks ( could smell while I went to the restroom ). I might probably never come here again.

_________________________________________
It was my first time here. It's not a Veg Friendly place. However the service and taste was really good. We had Amritsari Curry ( Mushroom ), rumali roti, missi roti, butter roti and butter kulcha. The taste was good and quantity was excellent, I have a feeling that they used food color but not too sure. The most satisfying thing was washing hands with Rose water and also the complimetry pan drink. My visit there was very brief and would surely visit again for a proper review.
Ks Keremane
Overall sumptuous. Food quality is good, quite expensive. I wont recommend for regular visit as it's not budget friendly. But the service is pathetic. Waited for 20 minutes to get one masala papad..!! Starters we ordered came along with the main course. Paneer lababdar and Panner tikka masala was awesome. No much options for vegetarians. Can try for one time.
Shrinath Kini
Been to this place today, quality of food has gone down, the famed Punjabi tikka was served cold, biryani was too spicy . Only linkage to Punjab would be playing Punjabi style music.

Completely new to Mangalore I decided to try this restaurant that I saw on my way to the hotel from the airport. Though the restaurant is situated is quite a dead mall the restaurant itself has a great ambience. The theme and food is pure punjabi ! The music is typical punjabi music .
Coming to the food we ordered lassi , paneer tikka, dal makhni ,roomali roti and naan ! At the end of the meal we were served a pan flavoured drink in a shot glass.
Overall the food was quite decent and reasonably priced !
Sonia Rodrigues
Awesome flavours and Good ambience. Service needs to be pept up a little. Good quality food and value for money. Cheese Stuffed Chicken Supreme is a must try dish.

Butter chiken pind ka nahi khaaye tho fir kyaa khaaye.. Not 2 forget the lassi too! A really warm And nice experience..do try once with your family for a hearty sat sri akaal welcome by yours own paaji😃

Dine in service is not up to the mark.. they take more than an hour to make a portion of kebabs. That too served cold. This was all in spite of trying to follow up with the staff here who said they’ll serve it within 20 minutes. Also, the restaurant was not one bit crowded for them to have capacity issues. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

The finest dine in restaurant of mangakore Great food taste great. Presentation it self shows the finest quality used ingredients Quantity of the food is very high and one dish can easily shared by 2 to 3 guests Pind special lassi is awesome and must try.

Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service⭐️⭐️

Over all experience was ok. Not a great place. Paya shorba for soup, Starters we ordered Chicken Tandoori and Mutton Seekh kabab. Soup and Starter was average. Tandoori felt like it wasn’t marinated enough and felt it was lightly oil fried and then put in tandoor.
Ordered Paneer Makhnwala and Murg Zafrani with roti and naans. Both the gravy were very good. Right mix of spices.
⭐️⭐️ for the starters and soup.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the gravy and roti.
I had ordered some food to eat, and it was very late to arrive at my desk, it was very upsetting for me, and the service was like no one even cares about wat u have ordered....😣😣
Abdulla Muneer
The restaurant did create a Punjabi setting and we're greeted by sasyakaal when we enter the place and then starts the journey with their creamy mughlai curries, The naans and kulchas. They are worth the wait for as they serve it a little slow and my final drink of pedha lassi hmm loved it and had a very satisfied dinner. They also serve a glass of which they call paan shot which also is good.
Amrita Vijay
Lovely place! They really did try creating a traditional Punjabi setting. The food was good and so was the service. We had ordered

🔻chicken tikka masala
🔻chili chicken
🔻bread basket
🔻gulab jamun ice cream

I would definitely visit again!

Been to this place just once. Slow service. Made us wait for longer. Seatings were not comfortable too.
The food served was amazing. But sadly and unfortunately when using washroom we came across the kitchen which was a complete mess, was very disappointed the way it was maintained.

That 'Sasriyaakal’ greet at the door is enough to guess that this place is going to live up to its name. At the entrance they note down the number people and allot tables accordingly. We were two of us and were given a table of two which was very congesting. They should be open to people choosing their own tables. Their Punjabi playlist is catchy. Their menu inches a lot towards the non-vegetarian over vegetarian. We ordered Masala Papad, Tri Paneer Kebab, Veg Manchow soup, Paneer Kuruchan, Butter Roti and Peas Pulao. The food in terms of taste and flavors, gets a thumps up except Pulao; it was just average among all. The food is very heavy on stomach. The reviews on Zomato explained how the service here was slow, so we ordered everything in the beginning. But it turned out the exact opposite. The service was a huge disappointment. We weren’t even finished with our starters and they served the main course already. The table on the top of it was so small but still they loaded the table with food, which was very uncomfortable. We weren’t even done with our Rotis and they were ready to serve Pulao. This was a huge disappointment and the reason why we couldn’t enjoy our food at all. I just wish they moderate their service speeds in accordance with situations.
Chetan Sanil
Great food with huge portions. Regular Lassi was good but the Mango lassi could have been better. Lucknowi biryani was good too. They give quite a few complimentary food.

Tip: Order one lassi between two people.
Fatema
Veryyy slowww in service. But great food , heavy on stomach with their creamy curries ! Malai kofta and chana masala was great . Masala kulcha and butter naan are always amazing! Malpua with rabri was little disappointing! Pedha lassi was amazing too ! Veg kurkure highly recommended
Anubhav Kirti
The first thing you see while entering to the restaurant is a tall Punjabi guy greeting you in traditional way. Good place to hang out with your family.Non-veg starters can be improved as few of them tatses alike.Decent waiters.
Veg kurkure is a must try in veg starters. If u love mutton you must try "Laal maas" but restaurant manager should keep in mind that everytime the dish should tastes the same and perfect as sometimes the Laal maas taste differ.Chicken lababdar was also good. Must try sahi tukda in desert.Drinks were okay Overall its a place for people who are foodie and loves north indian food

Hi there,

Had been to Punjab Da Pind, KS Rao Nagar.
Location: Punjab Da Pind is just opposite to CITY CENTRE MALL.Easy to locate. We ordered some variety of foods along with lassi.
Review: You are welcomed in Punjabi Style by a tall sardarji all dressed up wishing you "Sasriya kal" just to give you that Punjabi effect probably the only best thing found here:). Ambience is good however the dishes were not reflecting the Punjabi tastes and the lassi too needed improvement which dint taste half as gud as the Punjabi Dhaba's. The food here doesn't meet the Punjabi waala taste.. Skip this if you really love Punjabi food..
Rating:3/5

Thanks!
DSK

A great place to have a lovely dinner with your family and friends. The ambience is quite nice and the food is delicious. It happens to be the best place to eat if you are looking for a North Indian cuisine restaurant. And don't miss veg kurkure and Shahi tukda. Drinks are fine but food is superb.

This restaurant is in mischief mall on KS Rao road. We ordered tandoori broccoli, anjal tawa fry and pomfret tandoori. it was really great, especially tandoori pomfret and broccoli. We had also ordered veg and chicken biryani and sarson ka saag. Every item we ordered was very delicious.

A great restaurant just opposite city center, serving delicious North Indian/Punjabi fare. The ambiance is a mix of a fine dine restaurant with that of a Dhaba with an ever smiling Punjabi man greeting at the entrance.

The curries and Kababs are simply brilliant. The Chicken Kababs are so tender and are grilled to perfection. The curries are cooked to perfection, giving an authentic north Indian taste. Murgh Lababdar, is especially delicious and stood out among all the curries we ordered. For the bread - go for the Laccha Paratha or the Butter Garlic Naan. Murgh Kalimiri Kabab was also a favorite, the subtlety of its spicy flavor is brilliant. The Kabab platter is also a good pick, you can try an assrotment of 4-5 kababs, including a juicy fish Kabab. A small disappointment was the quantity of food served for the price, especially the starters. The chicken starters are barely sufficient for one person. The Kabab platter which is priced at almost 600, could serve not more than 2 people. The perfect way to finish off the meal is the Punjabi special Lassi. Served in an ornate glass, the flavored and thick Lassi hits all corners of the palette.

Even though the restaurant falls on the pricier side, it is always worth a second visit.

Punjab da Pind

It has become a pattern offlate! Every time I visit a major city .. out of our dine-outs there has to be one Punjabi restaurant in the list. The reason should be the unconditional love towards the authentic Punjabi taste.
Keeping that tradition intact ..We happened to visit this joint.

We visited pretty late in the evening and since it was during a weekend, the restaurant was bit crowded .. we had to wait for a while to get in. And even after getting in we had to wait for another 30 mins for the food to get served.

The ambience is quite clean and spacious but the table we were in , the sofa foot was broken so we weren’t feeling that comfortable to be honest.
I liked the dim lights.. nice interiors created a good dining experience.

We ordered Bhuna Ghosht, Murgh tawa lahori,Murgh Amritsari curry ,Chicken Adrak ( starter ),Rotti butter nan , Garlic Butter Nan,Mango Lassi

Ambience and interior: 2.5
Quantity of dishes: 3.5
Taste :3.5
Cleanliness:3.5
Value for money:3.5

All scores are out of 5!

Verdict: Give it a try! You won’t regret
My pick: Murgh Tawa lahori

Very nice...kinda expensive...but it's worth it...food was very tasty...staff is friendly.... you'll be welcomed by a Sardarji saying 'satsriakaal' ... pleasant ambience with soft lightning

The only genuinely Punjabi thing about this place is a Gabru at the door who wishes you 'Satsriakaal'. The food is mediocre and overpriced. Totally not recommended. Go for the other nearby restaurants.

Punjab da pind is a paradise for the people who love north Indian, especially Punjabi food!
The ambience is elegant and yet like a pind and has Punjabi vibes.
The food is great.
Every time I visit this restaurant I always take their tamatar ka shorba.
Their starters are yum.
I like almost everything from the menu but sham savera subzi( gravy with small spinach pockets filled with cheese) is my favorite.
And they make excellent malpua with rabdi. I am not much of a sweet tooth buy i never miss out on malpua with rabdi.
Though this place is a little on the expensive side, it's one of my favorite restaurants in mangalore.

Had gone here for lunch with my cousin and his family last weekend and food was quite decent. It being the 1st of January, was extremely packed but we could easily get our table. Coming to the food we loved the fish tikka and would suggest everyone to try it here but the murgh sholay kebab was disappointing in starters. The main course was pretty good. Mutton roganjosh, tandoor roti and jeera rice were the items we had. Loved the roganjosh a lot! The lassi was a tad overpriced. Surely a good place to try authentic punjabi food.

A beautiful place with great ambience and very kind staff.
Tried the Veg Manchow soup which was really nice and full of fresh flavors.
Murgh Gilafee, Murgh Tikka Punjabi were tooo good,, so juicy & bursting with amazing flavors.
Also, tried the Burnt garlic chicken fried rice and Amritsari Aloo kulcha, both were excellent, the kulcha was very well stuffed.
However, the complimentary paan shots at the end of the meal was horrible.
Overall, this place offers really delicious food, and every dish is worth a try.

Arguably the best North Indian restaurant in mangalore. I have visited it numerous times and it has never disappointed me.
Ambience is nice.
Service is good.... only on one occasion it was very slow.
Food is wonderful. The lassi and dal makhani are to die for. I just love the pan shots served at the end of the meal. Chicken, rice and roti items are good too.
Quantity is adequate and prices are reasonable.
Amazing food at a reasonable price. We had vegetarian and it was so good. They have such a wide variety of options of veg which is quite rare.

A place that will transport you to the era of the Mughals with its decor and food!

Journey:
We decided to visit the restaurant during our stay in Mangalore as we had heard a lot about it. The place is opposite the City Centre so after all the workout done for shopping, you can always come here to refuel your energy.

Rating: 7 Golden Nuggets

Ambiance:
Pind has a casual atmosphere along with spacious seating arrangement which is suitable for both large and small groups. The dim lighting gives a relaxed vibe to enjoy your meal with your near and dear ones. The bar counter has a DIY glass holder that is used to serve the complimentary paan shots at the end of the meal. During the initial few days of its opening, the restaurant had a Sardar man who would welcome guests at the door.

Authentic Punjabi flavours. Lassi was amazing. We tried Murg Zafraani and Murg Lababdar. Both were very satisfactory. Dal Makhaani had a very authentic feel. Paan Shots were just the icing our cake needed. For desserts, the Moong ka halwa is a must try.

On the cons, the breads weren't up to the mark. Paya ka Shorba was a huge disappointment.

We had Lovely lunch here . Ordered the stuffed tangadi for starter and for main course we ordered chicken county in curry with naan, egg masala and even the roasted fish was also quite delicious in taste was pleased by the quality of the chicken, as well as the nicely toasted roll. At the end we ordered the keshar lassi which come with a rossogullah inside which makes tasty to drink but remember its too sweet at the end we go for gulabjamun for dessert.. A very good experience. The worst punjabi restaurant i ever visited.
Most worse is their staff behaviour.Food taste was not upto the mark.spices and salt were not appropriate.Staff behaviour varies for each customer.Even you tell them also, they will not do.

Ambience is good, starters were excellent. Main course needs to be little better. Service is pathetic , they take hell of time to deliver. Found under staffed, you cannot make people wait that long for food.
