Good mutton and sea food dishes.... Bamboo biriyani was one among the favorite food we had.. Staff are very friendly... Quiet place... Just 200mts from udupi kundapur highway...

After getting exhausted of a long ride we wandered up for a good restaurant, finally we landed up here. We ordered Chicken clear soup and Mutton Mandi. Soup was well prepared, perfectly cooked and was delicious, the only part of soup I didn't like was it was a bit more thicker than it should be. Mutton Mandi was delicious, It was one of the best Mandi I have ever had well cooked, perfectly balanced with spices, rice was well cooked. I would highly recommend to try once here. Service was fantastic as we entered the restaurant they greeted and treated us well, friendly staff.

This Restaurant is located on the main road so finding space for parking could be a little difficult for 4 wheelers. We had been on a Saturday afternoon around 2.15 pm. The restaurant was crowded and we had to wait to get table for around 15-20min( as we needed table for three). I suggest to reserve a table beforehand incase you want to save time. For starters we ordered paneer tandoori tikka, and for main course we had veg bamboo biryani with mushroom tikka gravy along with some refreshing raita. Paneer tikka and biryani was good, but the mushroom gravy was really nice. For drink we wanted to try out something different, so we ordered some blue mint lime which had chillies in it, the taste was amazing and definitely refreshing . Would recommend others to give it a try. Ambience is fine and the interior is pretty. The staff are polite and are helpful with the menu regarding the portions and different options of food. This restaurant has greater number of options for non-vegetarian food compared to vegetarian dishes. But overall the restaurant is good! Kudos :)

This was my first time experience in bamboo restaurant, kankanady. Hotel is not much spacious and I didn't find much difficulty to find seats since I came in the evening. We ordered, lime juice as well as Mandi rice al-faham half. It was priced at 400 excluding taxes. Half mandi rice looked too much for two of us(guys) but we managed to finish it. Mandi Rice tastes good and it's a must try item. Lime juice was not good. I didn't like it at all. May be the worst. It may be noisy if hotel is occupied for more than half. There is no much parking space. About food it's all good. Hotel staffs were very friendly suggesting food and checking instant availability of the same. I ll visit again.

First i thought from outside the ambiance of the restaurant was not good, bit after i enter i liked the interior works and the seating arrangement's. They arranged the seats for families, friend's are different. We tried Alfam Mandi and the quantity and quality also good. The staff in the restaurant also very friendly and the price is so minimal.

It's a nice restaurant. The ambience here is awesome. The alfahm mandi we ordered was good. Loved the flavour of the mandi rice. It have the overall consistence. Flavour of alfahm was also good. We also ordered a Schezwan fried rice which was an average one. The mayonnaise they serve here is best. The consistency was good. Butter naan was bit oily and an average one. The service was also too good and is not that much expensive.

Different from other restaurants in Mangalore. Food is delicious and pocket friendly. This place will never disappoint you. Beautiful ambience and the service here i must say is the best!(but vehicle parking facility is not available)

The bamboo biriyani nice. The Hot n Sour soup was tasty one. Had 3 pieces of chicken in biriyani and also bought Kalmi Kulfi ( 4 pieces of chicken with white sauce), which is good to give a try with variety items. The Tender coconut shake was yummy. Good ambience and when I visited it's not that much crowded. Impressed by the staff behavior.

I wanted to try a diffrent restuarant, and i was browsing through all the list and found Bamboo. So i straightly went to order without looking at the cost. Guess what! Its worth it. Loved the food and it was yum. But needs some minor improvement like<br/>The chutney that comes along tandoori chicken isnt great. It gives a weird taste and hope it improves.<br/>The biryanis should be served with raita and pickle, as they taste better together. The biryanis are really good no comments. It has this nice aroma and juicy masala with good fillings. And quantity served is ample. The spiciness is low but i prefer more spicier.<br/>The fried rice variety is delicious and does not give the raw taste which is better. The veggies are kept crisp and cooke perfect.<br/>The Alfahm mandi is a good arabic food that reminds me of the time i had the foods there. Hope you can add more arabic foods. Cant wait to try out more foods here.🙂<br/>The packaging was good

We liked prawns 65 very much and crispy chicken and bamboo biryani was also ok. But there is scope of improvements in some of the dishes - eg. dal makhanwali tasted like syrup, as if lots of sugar was added in it. Ginger chicken was full of unpeeled ginger and was really bad tasting. Hope to get a better taste next time.

Bamboo restaurant is famous for their bamboo rice. And from the menu we have tried their chicken bamboo rice and mutton bamboo rice💯Me personally doesn’t like that much of mutton rice,I loved their chicken rice may be coz am a huge chicken fan😅but my mom loved both chicken and mutton at the same time❤️also their chicken kabab was my favourite ✨talking about their interior , I loved it✨it’s a nice place to go with family, they also have majlis for sitting 😊 The only con I could say was ,we had to wait for a lil long time to get it, because they had a large queue out😕

First of all dine in before 7pm for dinner. This place will be crowded around 8 to 9pm. Chicken & mutton mandi tastes good. But dont go for kizhi biryani. Doesnt taste good . Good for bunch of friends & family.

One of the best place where you can enjoy eating with ur group of friends or family. Had ordered a Bamboo chicken biriyani but all I got was a huge quantity of rice with 3 piece chicken in it. There was no masala and it just tasted like a normal plain rice with some chicken. Totally not worth it.

We ordered this biriyani with a lot of expectations..... Was impressed at first by the quantity... But the problem began when we started digging in.... We were astounded by the amount of tasting powder in the biriyani... It tasted like Maggi for some reason... Pls be careful as this is not a healthy option<br/>... Didn't even taste like biriyani... We visited this place after hearing great reviews about it. I found the concept of the place very nice. We had to wait a bit to get here both times we visited, it was crowded. Could be a bit more spacious. As for the bamboo biryani, I personally found that it lacked spices.<br/>We tried mandi the next time we were there, and that was nice. Worth a visit.

The restaurant looks good. The Alfaham served was good. The bamboo biryanis are their speciality, but people who like spicy biryanis might feel spices are on the lesser side.

We ordered Alfaham, Chicken Bamboo Special and Bamboo Mutton Biryani. Alfaham was okay. Bamboo Chicken was very dry- we regretted the order. Bamboo Mutton Biryani was not spicy at all (the quantity is a lot). Overall, we weren't satisfied with the food. Service was a mix of good and bad; perhaps the waiters were in a hurry because of the crowd.

I had heard a lot of this restaurant and also it's unique biryani and wanted to try it when I was in Mangalore. I visited this place on a nice and cosy evening and instantly liked the theme and the decor of the place. The place comparatively is smaller and when the crowd is more I am sure it will be congested. The food was quiet good but a little too spicy. We ordered bondass 65 but the quantity was very less and the squid was not cooked well. The crisp chicken was tasty but the quantity was very less. Mutton bamboo biryani was good but those of you who want their biryani to be spicy and maslaedar then probably you would not like this biryani. Otherwise the biryani is tasty and the quantity is very good. The stewards are very nice and courteous. A very nice place to drop in when you don't feel like cooking and munch on some yum food.

I ordered for full biriyani and the delivery was on time ..I opened the pack and found that only one small chicken piece in chicken biriyani.. where do u find a full chicken biriyani with one small single piece only ? I ordered half mutton biryani and taste is good, delivery by zomato was quick but the quantity of the rice was too much and 25 percent I wasted so they should minimize the quantity of rice a little bit.one more request to zomato delivery boys to use the word please while calling up the customer in case the address is confusing,the delivery boys sound little harsh(he told mujhe aur parcel hai jaldi jaldi aao,) he could hav said sir I hav one more parcel could you please come fast?? Had good quantity of rice and okay okay 3 pieces of chicken.. small ones..<br/>I got on a discount of 150 for the Biriyani only.. on the use of Zomato ..<br/>Food is good here..<br/>Though proportion of salt mixed was a little high.....<br/>And masala was less...<br/>But, yes good..

Usually people go here to try the Biryani as they serve it in bamboo but I personally didn’t like the Biryani also if you order 1 Biryani two person can eat it easily so the quantity is more but I personally didn’t like it as it’s not that tasty but other than Biryani the food which they serve is very delicious , they have a very good menu with Arabian flavour to it but the prices are a bit overpriced but overall it’s good.

Nothing very special about the biryani but it's not bad either. I'm not really a biryani person, but I liked this one. The Bamboo biryani has got a lot of quantity, which two people can share. Decor is definitely beautiful and the staff are very polite. But most of the times the restaurant is filled and you might have to wait to get a table.

Ordered online on Zomato. Had lot of expectations, until I tried signature Bamboo Mutton Biryani, because the taste was bland and dull: extremely ordinary, no flavor. With lots of expectations checked in to the hotel. Ordered and they served the bamboo mutton biryani, bill came I was shocked. The amount which is mentioned from the menu on Zomato is 230 but the actual cost is 320. If you don't want to update your menu online then please move out from internet world.. Bamboo Briyani quantity is good enough for three members ..but taste is not great its more soggy and no flavour of bamboo..the ghee had rancid.however starters were awesome. Mutton Briyani is better than chicken

The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing<br/>We especially enjoyed the special mojito drink, the mutton chops and heaven drumstick was great (even took photos so we could try to replicate at home).
