Great seafood, efficient service and the legend "Ghee Roast". The fish thali is fantastic and worth every penny. We keep coming back.

Birth place for Ghee roast! And they didn’t disappoint! I’ve come with my sister the first time, wanted to enjoy the moment again, alone this time!! Worth it

A decent place for Mangalorean style Non-Veg food. We had a chicken thali, fish thali and Schezwan Noodles which were pretty good. We had Reshmi Kebeb and paneer tikka which were pretty decent. There is also Karoke night every Wednesday where anyone can participate which is pretty cool.

It's a good restaurant with good service and excellent staff a bit expensive for the ambience and food was excellent minus the ghee roast. The ghee roast tasted different from the earlier years but chicken chilly Keshav style is still top class so is neer dosa and curry

Though the quality has come down a little, the Ghee roast is still one of the best in Mlore.

Not the best service.. Food was nice.. Tried the thread chicken and the chicken achari kebab, and chicken tandoori. When we asked the waiter for desert he said no desert was available but then the waiter assigned to our table said they have deserts. This happened as it was near closing time.. The ambience is cozy with vintage wooden furniture. The waiters all look the same also

I am giving 2 stars because of food quality which in no doubt the best but I wish I could give negative stars for the service they provide as the waiters there have no sense of professionalism they behave rudely with customers as if we came there to beg and I have been to many restaurants and nowhere I was treated the way they did at anupama the only positive of this restaurant is food taste and if u ppl continue with same behavior then there is no doubt u will go down the drain

If you are looking for Sea Food, then this is the place. <br/>The ambience is family friendly. The seating is comfortable. <br/>We tried the chicken ghee roast, it's one of the Mangalore's dish and it was great. It's little on the spicy side, perfect blend of Indian masalas.

Located in Abhimaan Palace , it's a place well know by the locals however the visiting population might miss it due to the camouflage by the boarding facility .<br/>This restaurant is placed on the second floor of the building which hosts the vegetarian restaurant shivsagar.<br/><br/>The jalwa kebab is one of a kind. I like the Kori roti and the chicken thali. A good place to try the Mangaloreon delicacies.<br/><br/>The ambience is slightly loud and dark. The service was comparably delayed. The place is worth a visit or two.

Chicken ghee roast here is made from heaven and the perfect match to it is the neer dosa that is done by perfectionist. Never forget to ask for the extra masala. Biriyani was mediocre. The service is slow and never to our needing but the ghee roast will just flip you out.

As an old adage goes..."The best things in life come for free", The best ghee roast comes from Anupam/Abhimaan :-)<br/>None like it. The owners (Mr Kane Ravi and brothers, I might be outdated on this information) are the inventors of Ghee Roast. <br/>Nice ambiance to the restuarant. The biryani is also quite good.

Chicken ghee roast and fish masala fry is very very tasty. We need to have patience for home delivery as they take minimum 1 hour. But worth the wait.

This is the only place in Mangalore which gets full marks for everything.<br/>Let it be ambience, service or food, Anupama tops the list.<br/>Located in Abhimaan Residency near Bunts Hostel, this place is my all time favourite.<br/>From decent ambience to perfect service, this place has got it all. Never tried the non-veg stuff here as I'm a pure veggie, but they serve wonderful north indian vegan dishes, served to perfection.<br/>Manchow Soup, Paneer Butter masala, paneer bhurji are a must try.<br/>If you're in this area for a reason, dont miss to grab a bite here. I'm sure you won't regret it !!

As usual another good place for lunch and dinner. Serves authentic Mangalore cuisine. Fish gravy tried today tasted really good, right amount of ingredients added, not too spicy . Good place for a family lunch/dinner,however many occupants get a separate big table to dine which is actually good.<br/>Service-4/5<br/>Taste-5/5<br/>Price-4/5<br/>Overall Cleanliness 5/5<br/><br/><br/>

We had planned a trip to Mangalore, and while checking out the local delicacies, chicken ghee roast at Anupam(a) restaurant was recommended as one of the delicacies. So on the day of arrival, we dutifully made our way through the city to Abhimaan Residency for lunch. We were late, and managed to reach our destination only at the fag end of lunch hours. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable, and our plans of having fish were put paid to. Luckily (or so we thought), chicken ghee roast was available, and we ordered the same for starters. For the main course, we had to do with chicken butter masala and naan.<br/><br/>The chicken ghee roast, as it turned out, was not worth the hassle at all. The chicken pieces were bathed in hues of violent red, which hinted at dangerous levels of spices. Although it didn't turn out to be as spicy as initially suspected, it didn't meet our expectations. The main course was more conventional and filling, but then again 'conventional' wasn't what we were searching for. Needless to say, we left the place disappointed.<br/><br/>As a side note, the interior is very old fashioned and ordinary, without any effort to liven up the ambiance. And the waiters who served us had an air of discomfort and impatience, as if we were trespassing upon their leisure time. Definitely not the place I would suggest to an outsider.

Value for money.<br/>Chicken ghee roast was really good, well though they were big pieces they were well cooked. For 400Rs the portion was huge.<br/>The soup which we ordered , spinach and cottage cheese soup was just meh :(<br/><br/>Ambience was a little strange and dull. It's a dimly lit place, looks like an old school bar. And the place was kind of way too silent too. Made it a little awkward for me.<br/><br/>If you go here better stick to their specialties only. Ghee roast and fish. The fish thali is available only for lunch. So we ordered kaane curry with boiled rice and silver fish fry. These items were good.

A random choice for dinner suggested my relatives in mangalore for seafood. <br/>The restaurant somewhat has a old school interiors and looks like a place where above 50s come to have food and drinks.Youngsters won't like the dull look of the ambience.<br/><br/>Seafood we ordered were prawns ghee roast,Kane (lady fish) masala fry, surmai(king fish) masala fry and chicken ghee roast. All the seafood items were fresh and the taste of masala was very tasty. Even the ghee roast masala was amazing. The quantity and quality was suffice. The best part of masala is there were no added colour preservatives to get the redness and not spicy too.<br/>As we were stuff with starters itself....for main course we ordered chicken biryani. It was utterly disappointing.it was bland and tasteless.<br/><br/>The ambience is really dull, food is good specially ghee roast and fish masala fry. Biryani pls avoid.<br/><br/>

The best chicken ghee roast in all of mangalore. Do not miss the prawns ghee roast as well. We have been frequenting this place for years and some of my favourites are the prawns tava fry, the squid butter garlic and the kaane fry. Superb stuff
