Subodh Raichur
Culinary Heaven at Udupi Sri Krishna Bhavan I recently had the pleasure of dining at Udupi Sri Krishna Bhavan, and the experience left me utterly delighted. The food at this establishment can only be described as divine – a true celebration of flavors that lingers on the palate. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance reflected a perfect blend of tradition and comfort. The menu boasted an extensive array of South Indian delicacies, and I was eager to indulge. The service was prompt, and the staff's warm hospitality added to the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Udupi Sri Krishna Bhavan is a haven for food enthusiasts seeking an authentic and delightful culinary experience. The flavors, combined with the warm ambiance and impeccable service, make it a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of South Indian perfection. I'll undoubtedly be returning to savor more of their culinary delights.

Udupi Sri Krishna Bhavan is one of the oldest highly-rated restaurants in Mangalore that offers authentic South Indian food at reasonable prices. The South Indian Thaali, elegantly presented on a banana leaf in the traditional South Indian fashion, features servings of Palya, Gasi, Sambhar, Saaru, and rice offered twice during the dining experience. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to those seeking an authentic South Indian culinary experience in Mangalore. There is sufficient parking space, but it's challenging to find a spot during peak lunch hours, especially for four-wheelers.

Perfect awesome food. If you are interested in Udupi style South Indian meals, then it is the top most and iconic hotel at either 1 km from city centre mall or the Car street, in Mangalore Must visit this place for Lunch or dinner.

One of the oldest places in Mangalore still serving up some good old traditional meal in a banana leaf. Truth to be told, NOSTALGIC It's the 80s/90s vibe place which makes you feel you're back in time to the old days! When you enter the premises, go to the reception and get the lunch bill (they'll ask if you want curds with your meal plate) take the bill and at the end far corner is an small room where there are tables and chairs and even benches to sit. They do not start to serve until the room is 3/4 filled and then they start to serve! Alot of people in the room so the service might be a little slow and thus the servers are also in a hurry to rush to serve every customer. The place is literally old and nostalgic and the food was amazing and good quality! It's a place to eat and run for sure! BUT MUST VISIT FOR THE 80S AND THE 90S PEOPLE!

The furniture's are old n needs replacement. They are as old as 1900's but still holding strong. Food quality is Top Class that is if u r a pure veg. Needs a lot of esthetic make over. People visiting this restaurant are all old clients hanging on to the best food server since early 19th century

Wait time is a little long, if you're a little late for lunch the vegetables start disappearing from the sambhar and some dishes will not be there so better go early as you're anyway paying whole amount for the thali. For an ultra small bowl of curd they're charging rs 10 which is a ripoff.

Its a very old Udupi Hotel where I used to frequent during my school / college days. Typical and authentic Udupi style dishes for lunch. The rates are very reasonable with unlimited rice. Limited curry one or two, rasam, sambar, curds and buttermilk feels like eating at home and the best part is it served on banana leaf. Parking can be an issue during peak hours and on weekends and holidays. But a must visit for those who love authentic Udupi flavours.

One of the oldest and finest veg restaurant which serves meals traditionally on a banana leaf. Meals are served unlimited. One needs to purchase a token near the entrance before entering the dining room. They dont serve anything other than meals. The prices are very cheap. They charge Rs. 65 which includes a cup of curd also. Thali consists of Rasam, Sambar, a vegetable curry, Papad, Pickle, buttermilk and curd which is an addon. Service here is super fast. The quality of food is good. Basically they serve homely food. Usually crowded. They have limited parking space inside the compound. A must visit place.

I went for lunch at 3.15 pm. For both lunch and dinner, they have only meals always. It is a very old hotel. Ambience is not good. It is a lodge to that restaurant is attached. Food costs ₹65 along with curd. Meals is unlimited. Taste is good and authentic Udupi food. Trouble free stomach. Worth of the money.

A simple place but tasty food and people who serve food here are cordial. If you expect a posh atmosphere this isn't the right place cos there are no AC or sofas. If you want homely atmosphere you should visit this place. Meals per person is just Rs. 65. If you wish to have curd you need to pay Rs 10 extra.
