The best breakfast place in the heart of the city. They offer you a variety of options to choose from. They start service at 7 am for breakfast. If you reach hear early, they offer you take away. Ragi manni, halwa, idli Vada, dosa varieties, semige, palav, moode, kotte, padanji, kadali, ksheera, buns, upma etc. samige with coconut milk and Vada are their best things to pick Their season fresh mango milkshake is the best in Mangalore!! They also have fresh fruit juice and milkshake in their beverages menu along with coffee tea and kashaya. The south meals is also decent pic for lunch options when in city centre. Since Parking is on road, consider the time of visit. Not sure if toilets are there in the premises.

Can't wait to go back here for the food! Excellent food, good old rustic ambiance and quick service - everything added up to a great experience! We tried Vada, ghee pudi masala dosa, avalakki, kashaya and coffee. Nothing disappointed us! Prices are way too reasonable! We also took away three plates of avalakki for our journey back to Bangalore 😍 Definitely worth visiting and highly recommended!

A quintessential South Indian Amchigelle place with one of the best breakfast options in Mangalore. You can't miss the south Indian delicacies served here at best rates.
priya kamath
Their vada sambar, filter coffee and pineapple sheera, with a side of old mangalore charm, makes for the perfect breakfast.

The food is good. They need to enhance ground floor ambience. AC room is ok.
Globe Gemish
A famous veg family restaurant. Usually crowded especially on Sunday mornings. Taste of the food is good. You get certain evening snacks in the morning also. Affordable prices. Budget friendly. Washroom smells bad and need to be maintained in a/c room. Very difficult to get parking space for four wheelers.

It's changed to new shivbagh cafe It's been here from a pretty long time Situated on the main road Parking for wheelers can be difficult As it is located right on the main road There is no menu as such The waiters come and list out the items available Prize is ok I had goli baje which was really amazing Pav bhaji was ok, can get it better in other places It's an old setup, the place is clean They also have an ac section on the first floor They are good for south indian and local food Few Chinese and chaat items are also available Fresh fruit juices available Payment method includes cash and UPI

Shivabagh Cafe is one of the oldest joints in the locality. Very popular for its breakfast delicacies. Every item in the menu is a lip smacking one. The coffee here is also equally famous. Customers are loyal and regular. The pineapple sheera here is a super hit. The take away counter is also busy. Must try place
Shivraj Kadri
The place to be for your typical South Indian breakfast. Crowded on most mornings, the food they serve is good. Parking can be an issue as there is no parking place available.

Really good place, to try out breakfast, lunch and eve time. This is a place famous for the morning variety of breakfast-idle, dosa, etc. Afternoon simple lunch and starters. Eve time is famous for chats etc.

Nostalgic place to have breakfast, A Sunday must with family. Do try the Tuppa (ghee) dosa and a simple Idli/Vada. Comfort food at it’s best!

An absolute delight. Do not expect a great ambience, but the food is absolutely authentic and delicious.infaft the food is way more delicious, fresh and authentic than the biggest competitors lurking around. The service is extremely fast and so easy on the pocket. This place is a must visit if you crave authentic south Indian food!!

Visited this place as I was craving for some traditional, not-so-fancy joint to have Dosa! USP of this restaurant is its age- the place is very old and now has managed to excel in what they do!
I had Ragi idly, Masala Dosa, Mangalore Bun and coffee. No complaints at all wrt to food. I tried Ragi idly for the first time in my life :P and it was a good experience. Wish to find something similar in Bangalore!

This place has been around for as long as I can remember. A good place for breakfast. The idli sambar and masala dosa is very tasty. Not much to say about the ambience of the place. It is an old style and very basic hotel. The service is also pretty good and fast.
Fresh fruit juices are available along with your meal. The chaat counter which opens in the evening serves some delicious pani puri. The place is bustling with activity especially in the morning and evening hours.
