Cooked till the ghee is nicely absorbed in the masala and chicken.

This was the yummiest dal makhani we had. Soft dal with right balance of sweetness and spice, garnished with loads of makkhan/butter.

Aromatic and delicious one pot rice with ghee and mild spices just for a hint of flavour and garnished with golden fried crispy onion.

Authentic thai curry Diced Bell peppers and carrots cooked in coconut milk. Very fresh and zinging with taste and creamy texture. That is so delicious with steamed rice.

Huge rectangular pieces of paneer cooked with Tomato-Capsicum-Onion base. It has a tangy and pungent flavour.

This was something that we had never tried before and that really turned out to be so good!
A good option for all the vegetarians and who love mushroom.
Tiny slit mushrooms cooked in ghee and masala. It just tasted so yummy with methi roti.

Anyone who's eating at this place must try the combo of paneer kulcha and paneer kadhai.It's fingerlicking good! (The combo was recommended by a friend and I think I did right in trusting her)Also,this place is one of those reliable ones.The ambience is seafood themed and pretty cool too!
We visited this place for an invite to try new additions on their menu. We were served a huge spread of items from starters to desserts in both veg and non veg. We loved almost all the dishes! They were unique and deliciously made. Our favourites in starters were Tandoori prawns, kumb nazakath and Al fahm. In main course we loved Chicken malabar roast and Dal Makhni. And for desserts, Shahi Tukda was undoubtedly the show stopper!

Quantity is quite less but the quality is good should give more food ..! Itβs quite tasty and the environment is greasy
Just went for a vacation in manipal . Had a chance to go to this place family .. enjoyed the fish curry rice bit expensive, outside and in AC the price has a lot of difference.. but with fish curry rice .. roti is not the combination .. given a suggestion to the person at restaurant about giving neer dosa instead of roti .. overall good place in manipal for coastal food or sea food
Ambience , service and great food all at one stop, that's Coast Asia. Although most of the items they have are savour worthy I highly recommend the green Thai curry with rice, Thai fried rice if one wants to try a different cuisine. For Paneer lovers Paneer ghee roast is a spicy ghee delicacy which goes best with neer dosa and their Paneer kadi patta starter just melts in the mouth.

Liked this restaurant. Has a A/c and non a/c sections. Food was quite delicious. They have best of coastal food available. We here tried mutton green roast with neerdosa and anjal masala fry with naan. Mutton Green roast is worth a try. Mutton was tender, juicy and the masala was absorbed well by the meat. Ambience and service is also worth appreciable.

Located right over Radha Medical, in front of KMC, this restaurant seems to be quite popular in Manipal. I have been there three times now, and it has always been quite full. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is thankfully air-conditioned. The ambiance is decent. The service is good- the servers are well-informed about the menu and give good recommendations. Sometimes it is a little difficult to catch his eye though - but that is a problem across Manipal :))
What I loved:
Sukka crab - The crab is a decent size - not very large but then the rates are not too high either. The meat is quite sweet, the quality of the crab is good and fresh. I liked the sukka crab which is a typical dish of Karnataka.
Ghee Roast crab - Again, a rather typical local dish. It is dripping in ghee. A tasty dish - it is heavy and rich. But it is yum (tastes even better the next day). Forget the calories and dig right in.
Anjal fish tawa fry (phonetic spelling!) - A large but slim piece of Anjal fish, tawa fried with practically no masala. I usually like all my fish as simple tawa fries - rather than masking the taste with too much masala. The fish was fresh and tasty.
Kerala Paratha - soft, flaky parathas which go pretty well with the crab.
What was meh:
Surmai gravy: The fish was a little smelly like surmai usually is but I did not really like the consistency of the fish. The gravy was good.
Neer Dosa: These a okay but could be a little softer.
What I did not like:
Fish meal: Had ordered this the first time I was here and frankly speaking, had decided not to visit the restaurant again. There was nothing great about the meal. The fish was over-fried, there were some vegetables which were pretty much unidentifiable, the dal/rasam was just boring. Thankfully, I tried the restaurant again and tried the crab dishes which are the highlights of this restaurant.
Caramel Custard: Too sweet and too dense, an avoidable dish.
Ice cream with hot chocolate : The quality of the vanilla ice cream was just okay, nothing great. A pretty large amount of hot chocolate is given but again, the quality of the chocolate is not great. It is too sweet.
The dessert menu needs a serious overhaul. Would be great if they could include some local sweet dishes, since the rest of the coastal menu is pretty local. Also, that is where their core expertise lies.
Best place for sea food. The ambiance is good and has any separate ac section. Good hospitality and the staff can guide you properly about the menu.
Squid chilli and crab ghee roast are must try. Even the breads are very tasty and freshly baked. The sea food served was prepared properly and all the food was extremely tasty.
Good place to go with family, friends and even on dates.
We like Coast Asia much, and go often. But when it came to order through zomato, the pannaupkari, allepiyaav which suppose to be fish curry, rather when ordered comes as ghee roast. Kindly keep an option as curry. Rest allπ
The decor of this place is very nice and classy and this resturant beside of keeping an individualised menu they also have the attraction of buffet at a very reasonable price of 399. Though i havent tried the buffet but i have tried the kulcha, paneer tikka kabab, veg biriyani and thai fried rice. Out of which i reallg like the paneer tikka. But rest of the items are not so good..but howerer the prices are on the higher side. Although okayπ

The best part is they have all Konkani cuisines . I love their malaysian laxsa soup . You should try it too . Paneer satay be the best . Chicken gheeroast with neerdosa is my recommendation.

Bakasura just doesn't leave a chance to visit a place when he's in Manipal! And this time, it was coast Asia.
The ambience set up is just amazing. There is literally a boat on the roof. And there is kind of two sections one with normal chairs and all and the other with bamboo.
The staff are super awesome. The service is so quick
Bakasura had the most famous and well known neer dose here with the mouth watering paneer ghee roast. My god. It was just fabulous.
The ghee flavour was drool worthy.
Coming to the price, it's totally affordable.

I visited this place with my friends, they have a fairly large seating place with very helpful and courteous waiters, the food is good i had a paneer ghee roast which had a lot of ghee ofcourse and was very heavy, further for main course veg maharani was good. You can take a lift and reach here and is accessible by wheel chair

This restaurant has an amazing ambiance. Situated on the 2nd floor of the Manipal Commercial Complex building, one can sit and dine beside the open balcony that overlooks the KMC building across the road, enjoying a cool breeze.
The food is amazing, so is the service. I tried some authentic Coastal cuisine, some Oriental and Thai as well. All were equally tasty and wholesome.

Visited here last week. Taste of food, ambience, service, staff everything was good. Ordered paneer ghee roast,roti, mushroom biryani and virgin mojito.... MoJito was really refreshing. On other side on part of pricing it's bit expensive. Great experience and loved the food. ππ
Great food and service. A bit too expensive to be a regular restaurant option, but the food is top notch. Ambience is good too.
Ordered a lime juice which was extremely subpar. We complained and it was replaced with a much better one.
Hands down this is one of the best restaurants in Manipal. The food is great, the ambiance is great, service is great, everything is just great. The pricing of food, however, isn't very budget friendly. What I mean to say is if you are going there all by yourself it's gonna cost you a lot as it's a bit expensive.

Excellent food. Love the Paneer Ghee Roast here. One of the best I've ever had. I also loved Magic Mushroom. Very less quantity, but superb in taste. From the main course, Hakka noodles is a must try. Service I felt was good.

Took away one star because dishes can be greasy at times and they roasted my fish a bit too muchonce. STILL worth it though for hot seafood.
