Review Martins - Margao

shubham dahedar
The ambience and the music is well suited. The waiter gives good recommendations. You can have seafoods over here. I also had steak over here but the problem was some pieces were cooked to well done and some were rare and some were medium rare. I recommend customers to ask them to serve the steak as a single cut and then make the cuts in front of the customer.

Visited the restaurant for dinner. Good place for a nice dinner. The ambience is good. Food was good too. The staff is courteous. Prices are a little on the higher side. All in all a good experience.

We actually wanted to goto Martin's Corner but as we were getting late we decided to go to their Margao outlet. Martin's always delivers when it comes to o quality food and there was no disappointment this time around too. For starters we had chicken BBQ and squids batter fry which were cooked to perfection. Squids were fried with crispy batter which was lip smacking. For the main course we had a stroganoff, two types of steaks and one sizzler. The stroganoff was creamy, juicy and the meat was very tender. The steaks were amazing as well especially the rum glazed steak. The sizzler was nice too although the chicken piece was comparatively small to the other ingredients on th sizzler plate. Overall a great dinner.

Came here with my family today. Staff is cortious and friendly. Interior is nice and music is up to date. Food is delicious portion size is average. Prices are above average so was waiting time. I have ordered steak, wife pasta daughter mushroom soup. Steak meat wasn't properly marinated and had not been cut properly with tendons left. Pasta and soup were really good. Also they do add 10% service surcharge and i like to be given a choice about tipping hence 4 stars (Would be 3 but mature guy from staff made my day by cheering our toddler)

It was the 1st day in Goa. I just randomly found this restaurant from Google. It was quite near from hotel also. There is not much crowd inside restaurant. Ambience is also quite OK. But the taste of food is just awesome. Please go for continental food here. Each and every item of food is delicious. Even price is also reasonable. Armendo and his team is very good. Their service and behaviour is no doubtly awesome. If you are in South Goa and if you ever cross Margaon area, must visit this restaurant.

One of the best I have been to in Goa for modern European cuisine... the place is quite, neat and the service is great... very interesting menu selections from classic European cuisine with a modern twist... Tried the Steak cooked on lava stone.... finished right in front of you at the table cooked to your liking... The beverage list is very nice as well... lot of nice interesting cocktails... has a decent selection of wines... only Indian wines are available by the glass.... a good selection of European wines are available by the bottle... l have one small suggestion with regards to the dessert selection, should put a lil bit thought into the quality of the selection...

An absolutely fantastic food experience. The menu is limited, but shows their passion for food. You can order beef in 5- 6 different cuts and the meat is so tender and well tasting. A glas of Indian Shiraz was a surprisingly good companion. If the wine would have been served a bit cooler (say 18°C), it would have been a six star meal ;-) The couple at the next table had the salmon grilled on ceder wood. They offered me to taste and it was really superb. Only drawback - this place closes between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Very nice classy place in the middle of busy margao. Nice ambiance and good staff. Expected the food to be better but overall a good experience. Food is proceed on the higher side

City centre restaurant with quality food. Rum and cheese steak is a must, good sangria too ! Head over for a mid office lunch or a dinner get together

What I like about this place is very courteous staff! Also it's a very nice, clean place with a good atmosphere. It's nice to find yourself there with AC in the middle of the hot Margao. The menu is extensive. The food serving is quite simple so don't expect exquisite dishes. But still food is not expensive.
Sagar Parmar
Great Place to Chill with Friends and Family. The atmosphere is too good. They have a person playing some musical instruments.
Joel Dsouza
Homely flavours, nicely presented food. Chef has a good hand on regional flavours.

It was a wonderful experience to have a meal there... The staff serving the food and management was simply superb....... worth visiting such restaurant..

Delicious food. Good service. Great variety. Consistency.
Valencio Fernandes
A very well organised and designed restaurant which served a mix of authentic Goan, South Indian and Western Food. We tried the pork roast, pulao, pork chops and Rava/Masala Fried Pompret.

Amazing food!! Must try their Steak on Stone and White Snapper fish curry. For deserts, mouth watering caramel custard and cheesecake. Super soft and delicious

Just had a most amazing first meal of the year. Nice to find a place that serves good food thats different from the usual. Will certainly go back with more guests. Nice to go here as a group rather than alone so you can share and enjoy more.

Service needs to improve and legally no one is supposed to charge service charge anymore, after introduction of gst.

Wanna have a good time somewhere in and around Margao? This is one of the places I would definitely suggest! The ambience and decorations are very well done but again, kind of expensive. More of a family place... The steak on stone was pretty good but a couple of friends have told me they din't enjoy it as much...Overall a nice place to chill.
Queeny Angelena
The ambiance is classy with a vintage vibe, really loved it. The people here are so welcoming, such great service. Not the best beef steak I've had, but it was really tasty.
My_food_journey_goa
Located in the heart of margao city next to aga Khan garden lies this beautiful restaurant that serve the best sizzlers. Been going to this place a couple of times and have got the best when comes to food and the drinks that are served. The staff has been a turnoff a couple of times but on their good days it's a great experience. The ambience also turns out to be on the mood of the staff. Sometimes having a clean and good setup while other times I've has soiled tablecloths and oily cutlery. All in all a good place to enjoy a good sizzling meat #my_food_my_goa

Go here if you are near Madgaon Jn and desire a decent dinner and some booze. Their peri-peri sauce preparations are good and so is their pork vindaloo. All of their staff but for their head waiter is courteous. That dude is a pain in the wrong place...but waiters change. Fingers crossed.
Sunita Saldanha
Beef peri peri was delicious... Honestly every dish we ordered... Chicken cafreal too

It was horrible experience with service and value. Martin don't have any ambiance, any staff courtesy, any sense of keeping restaurant in fine Dining bracket. Chairs fabric torn, horrible state of old furniture and interiors.<br/>It's really non sense to pay more than 5 star and get value and experience of not even 2 star.<br/>Recommend to Avoid this restaurant!

Drove for two hours to try Martin's Restaurant and was not disappointed! Warm, friendly ambience and wonderful service. My favourite dishes of the meal were the Goan Grilled Prawns (it had a deliciously addictive piri piri masala), the steak on stone, which is a Martins signature, the smoked salmon and of course, the Sera Dura which was indulgent! The restaurant also has a few Pan Asian items such as Potstickers and Vietnamese Pho, as well as beef steaks which are much loved among the patrons. Don't miss the buttery-velvety mashed potatoes! Will definitely return for more the next time I'm in the area.

Well it was a spontaneous plan to hit this joint and it turned out just as our expectations. I am a big fan of Zomato reviews and I usually take that into consideration while going out for food.<br/>Well for starters we had Chicken BBQ and squids batter fry. Well nothing can go wrong with BBQ and some squids batter fry as they were both cooked to perfection.<br/>For main course we had stroganoff, two types of steaks and one chicken sizzler .<br/>Stroganoff was creamy and juicy and the meat was very tender. Steaks were great too especially the rum glazed steak. Sizzler was awesome too although the chicken piece was quite small as compared to the other ingredients on the sizzler plate.<br/>Overall it was a great dinner. Cheers

Had lunch at this centrally located restaurant in Margao. The new menu is interesting, with a good variety of Goan and continental dishes. We enjoyed the food and service.

The iconic Martin's! <br/>Foodie mortals like me consider this a must-go-to place whenever someone from outside of Goa visits us. The perennial favorite is the Prawn Curry and Rice combo. <br/><br/>The Kokum Sherbet is a great refreshing drink if you are not in Goa for what most people are here for. I would recommend the place for the seafood delicacies. Also, if you have not been ordained into the world of Serradura or Tender Coconut Souffle then please do give either of them a try.<br/><br/>Service is top class and the music never fails to sizzle. Reservations highly recommended.<br/><br/>Keep Rocking Guys!

Well this place stands to be really attractive one . Decent crowd as well . The staff is some that comforts u . Aromatic ambiance and a lovely hospitality on the contrary food being full with flavours . Must try to localities and foodies

This place is great. We had a pesto pasta, pork ribs, and beef steaks and they were honestly true to their taste. The staff was polite and the ambience was good. Worth the price. Service wasn't that good as it took quite some time for the food to arrive, could improve a bit on service.
Nancy
Don't confuse this Restaurant with The Martin's corner ( which is not in margao ) , this place offers some good quality food , with awesome steaks on Stone and good pastas , though the price is slightly higher but the taste is really good . I recommend this place 😋
Akilesh Rao
On Zomato's recommendation, we decided to give this place a visit. We were received by the very friendly staff who guided us towards our table. The lighting was poor. Gave me a feeling of being seated in a UV room. We had Buffalo wings, Lemon iced tea and Rum & Cheese chicken steak. The steak seemed to be a bit over cooked. Apart from this, the taste and flavors were finger licking good.<br/>Ambience : 3/5<br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Staff: 4/5<br/>Overall 3 stars because of the UV ambience and over cooked steak.<br/>Will I visit again? Maybe.

The best place ever been going here for more than 5 years and love each and every dish especially their steaks and pasta<br/>The service is excellent and don't forget the make reservations on weekends

Awesome food and Goan fusion fare. Love the butter garlic tongue and goan masala steak. The waiters are very attentive and will recommend flexible options for your palate.

Enjoyed fish dishes. We had 2 styles....stuffed with red hot chilly masala called ‘reacheado’ and Caferal made with coriander, green chillies.

It’s very amazing place for lunch/even dinner with friends or family. The rich ambience increase the taste of food, and music is also great.<br/>I Ordered Chicken Stick with smash potatoes and Fries with ginger sauce. It was really tasty. <br/>And the Spanish Wheat Beer in chilled mug also put me in seventh heaven.
Prithvi Singhania
A decent place to dine but the service is bit slow.<br/><br/>Ordered for food which took 40 mins to serve but love the ambience and Enjoyed live music.<br/><br/>

Excellent food every single time. Good steaks and interesting cocktails. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Ambience is a perfect contrast to the bustling city.

I have visited this place approximately 3-4 times and not once have they disappointed me...<br/>Place is good with ambience <br/>Serves you delicious food with wide variety <br/>I had Spiced Guava Mocktail...<br/>Cheese Garlic Bread...<br/>KingFish On Steak (Lawa Stone) With Butter Garlic Suace, Finger Chips, Mashed Pototo, Burnt Garlic Suace, Butter Fried Veggies With Garlic Bread...<br/>The staff is also very polite and friendly and does guide you properly according to your choice in food and according to your taste...<br/>Superbbbbbbb Place🤘<br/>Very Recommended Place For Everyone...<br/>Overall Had A Awesome Experience 🤘

The food was very nice but the service was very slow.<br/>Food: 4<br/>Service:2<br/>Ambience:3<br/><br/>We ordered<br/><br/>Spicy cheese ball: It was nice and crispy outside. Properly done.<br/><br/>Portuguese grilled shrimp: Grilled shrimps served with mashed potatoes with herbs and sauted vegees. It was good.<br/><br/>Spicy cheese pasta: It was nice creamy and cheesy.<br/><br/>Cortini: It's a nice starter and the bread was properly toasted and crispy.<br/><br/>Spicy grilled steak with french fries: This was the best dish of all ( Recommend). The chicken was properly grilled, crispy outside and juicy inside. It is served with sauted vegetables and french fries/ mashed potatoes.<br/><br/>

Martin's is that one go to place in Madgoa to experience authentic goan and portuguese cuisine. I started with a mai tai ( my personal favourite) which was average, served with a bed of crumb fried oysters which sadly was stale. However the chicken chilli fry made up to that. Hogged a sea food sizzler which was delicious and finally a mud pie to tickle my sweet tooth. Martin's is pricy. My total damage was 4k. But it's an experience to cherish..

Actually would give it a 3.5 the food is good but they serve quiet small portions and is way overpriced.. place is quiet small also.. but the staff is courteous..

Happy Tummy !!<br/><br/>Visited this place like a hungry soul with my friends. Welcomed with a smile, we were escorted to the table. Ambience was cool and vibrant.<br/><br/>Started with Squids butter garlic, with taste balanced with right amount of butter and garlic. Also ordered Shark Ambot Tik, Prawns rawa fry served with steamed white rice. Presented well and just loved the flavours of all. Blue Lagoon and Pina Colada were the perfect endings for a good and satisfied meal.<br/><br/>Thumbs up for the quick service as well. A must visit place for a tasty Goan food..!!<br/>

Ok food ......I guess it's tooooo over hyped....service is fast and courteous staff.......onli if you wanna have seafood u must go here or else very very ordinary food ......

Lovely place, and the best part is that it is open till around midnight...the food is lovely... continental connoisseurs will have a great time. We had Portuguese grilled chicken, tongue pepper roast, a chicken n cheese sizzler, and a spicy steak. Loved the food, and loved the place!!!

A great place that’s not so popular ‘coz most tourists head to Martins at Betalbatim... <br/>Martins in Margao is one of the gems of the area.. quiet and cozy, they never fail in their service or food. <br/>Must trys are the steaks and Goan food. <br/>A perfect place for a romantic date in the city.
Foodiesgoa
Situated right in the heart of the city if Margao, the place is just a walking distance away from the main market. It's easy to find . Keeping in consideration , it's geographic location and food taste , it's not at all worth paying for. Only Moroccan chicken which we had ordered was tasty. Dessert we ordered, also wasn't good.<br/>Even the quantity served is too less. <br/>The staff is friendly and the service is quick.<br/><br/>Overall: 3/5<br/><br/>Value for money : 2/5<br/><br/>Taste: 3/5<br/><br/>Service: 4/5<br/><br/>Ambience: 3/5<br/><br/>Drinks: 3/5<br/><br/>Quantity: 2/5<br/><br/>For more pictures of food , restaurants and offers follow @foodiesgoa on Instagram<br/><br/>

My favorite place in heart of the city of Margao. It has the best steak in South Goa of all the places I have been to. Must try steak on stone with mashed potato and stir fried veggies ( too many choices available) and their spicy chicken wing 😍
Zelin Mascarenhas
Great set up. Food is good. A must try would be the steak on stone (they prepare the steak in your table with your prefered sauce) and fried ice-cream. The owners are very amicable and the staff too is obliging and friendly.

This restaurant never fails to please me. I'm very glad it is situated in Margao which is very near to me. <br/>We ordered Pinacolada, Bacardi with Coke, Canned Apple Juice for drinks and Chicken Satay and French Fries as starters.<br/>The Chicken Satay was delicious and the French Fries were crispy and tasty at the same time.<br/>For maincourse we had the Chicken and Cheese Sizzler ( since we loved it the first time we had it) , Beef Steak on Stone along with Red Wine Sauce, Potato Wedges and Butter Garlic Sauteed Vegetables, and Herbs Crusted Garlic Pork Chops. <br/>The Chicken and Cheese Sizzler is one of my favourite. The Chicken was perfectly cooked and infused with the cheese. This was served along with rice and veggies like a usualy Sizzler. The Steak on Stone was the king of the night. The come to your table and cook the steak according to your liking. The steak was tender and juicy. We opted for the Red Wine Sauce, Potato Wedges and Butter Garlic Sauteed Vegetables as accompaniments which went well with the steak. The Red Wine Sauce was really good as well. Last but not the least, the Pork Chops were scrumptious and juicy but a little tough. The Pina Colada was refreshing and smooth. The service was quick and the staff was friendly as well. Over-all it was a great experience. We went home happy and satisfied.

I have been here a couple of times. The best place for a good steak in margao. Must try their steak on stone and Mediterranean herb beef steak. Cedric Sequeira Vaz

Cozy place right opposite GPO Margao.<br/>Martins is a tad expensive for the quality of food they serve. We ordered for a cocktail and a Tapas (an assortment of spanish starters). I was not very satisfied with the taste ( my opinion ).<br/>The place is cozy and the service is very good.<br/>Finding parking is a little difficult if you dont know the oneways.<br/>Overall, the place needs improvement.
Harsh
Lovely place for fine dining. I like their menu, the bar menu in particular.<br/>Simple starters like cheese balls and chicken wings go very well with my whiskey. I loved their pasta for main course. Please go there a little late in the evening for ease of parking

Martins @ Margao! - Bunch of friends had recommended this place in Goa. We went there as a family and we loved it. This place serves awesome seafood! The best was the Goan roasted prawns..a must try! The captain, Mr. Johnny was very helpful and courteous and his suggestions were worth trying. We tried out their mocktails, roasted prawns, king fish cafreal, Beef spicy grilled steak, crab sukka and prawn curry rice. Totally satisfied 😍 We're surely going there again 😊 Cheers and bon appétit!<br/>

Love this place... good ambience... good service... food is tasty... must try the steaks its... a very good place... a bit expensive but thats fine because the food is really tasty.... must try the peri peri prawns... spicy....♡

Only water tasted better here. Waste of money. Only good for drunkards, not worth for eating. Place only for showoff..no substance,. And waiters dont take reviews constructively.
Christina Faleiro
Enjoyed The Minty Mango a lot ! Also liked the Green Detox but could finish it .. was a lil too full after enjoying my chicken steak on stone... With a lemon butter garlic sauce..the only thing which was a turn off was with the chocolate in my serradura... . Otherwise Very content with the entire experience . The acoustic music left us extra happy and peppy . Thanks @adrian n @dylan! My husband and I were glad to have made our Saturday night stop at Martin's. And Johnny , our service steward was soo courteous too.. thank u for an amazing experience.
Bon Viveur
Went in there with a lot of skepticism, specially to try their steak on stone since it was recommended by one of my Goan friends... However after soaking in the ambiance with some nice music being played, ended up ordering much more... <br/><br/>Ordered the spicy cheese balls (well prepared), crispy bacon & potato salad (savory but would have preferred more bacon in it), chicken steak on stone with mushroom brandy sauce accompanied by caramelised onions (didn't have the temerity to go with beef) along with 2 glasses of Port wine (excellent... can't recollect the brand name) and a Bloody Mary (so spicy that it gave my a torrent of hiccups), and a fresh Mango Pannacotta (super) to finish it all... All gobbled up by one guy - Yours truly... <br/><br/>The steak on stone concept was kinda unique although the preparation itself was rather okayish... <br/>Really enjoyed the drinks as well as the dessert...<br/><br/>Food taste 7.5/10<br/>Food quality 8.5/10<br/>Ambiance 7.5/10<br/>Service 8/10<br/>VFM 8/10<br/><br/>Definitely going back there whenever I m in or around Margao

<br/><br/>The land of sun, sand, a chilled out lifestyle and of course seafood! Yes you guessed it right! It's none other than Goa. On our recent visit to Goa we tried out a hidden gem named Martin's. This place serves some delicious seafood and meats. My sole purpose of visiting Goa was to have those delicious area mussels fry at every possible shack as no one in Mumbai serves rawa fried mussels. Surprisingly, there was no restaurant in Goa serving mussels at that time. Martin's served me those delicious golden fried beauties and won my heart. We started our meal with those yummy rawa masala mussels fry. These are a must here! Then came the delicious grilled tiger prawns. I can't explain how delicious they tasted. These are a must try. Goa is clearly a paradise for all the non-vegetarians. But this veg dish we tried from our vegetarian friend's plate was truly magical. I never imagined that the drumstick sukham which is a mildly spiced dish would be that delicious. Lovely indeed. One unique dish we had was the steak on stone. We had the beef which was cooked on stone in front of us. It was super delicious with the perfect marination. <br/><br/>We also tried out the Norwegian salmon which was just outstanding. The chunk of meat was just perfectly cooked and so delicious. This one needs to be ordered on every table for sure! The steak on stone and the salmon are must try. Crustaceans are a must hence we couldn't leave without trying the delicious lobster served with Goan bread and a potato mash. The lobster was perfectly cooked in some masala which added taste to the juicy meat. <br/><br/>The stuffed pomfret was another masterpiece. It was stuffed with the famous Goan sausages. The fish was perfectly fried with perfect amount of masala to level up with the sharp taste of the Goan sausage. Definitely worth a try.  A few other dishes we tried were the mexican chicken skewers topped with grated cheese, aloo tikki, cottage cheese steak. Although these dishes were good the others stood out way more than these. We also enjoyed the chorizo with veggies. The spicy cheese balls was one of the few vegetarian dishes we tried which was again a good attempt. To go with the food we enjoyed some cocktails and cocktails like the Bloody Mary, Singapore sling, a detox drink, blue hazed surf naming a few. Overall we had a lovely time. I'll definitely go back to this one. <br/><br/>Overall: 4.25/5<br/><br/>Food: 4.25/5<br/><br/>Ambience: 3.5/5<br/><br/>Service: 4.5/5<br/><br/>Drinks: 4/5<br/><br/>Quantity: 4/5<br/>

Amazing place to have grt quality food if u r in margao city. Its in the heart of city so u cant miss it. Fud wise they provide some of the best stakes and seefoods u can find in Goa.

Ambiance is very nice. The service is good. Now the food is nice. They are known for Thier steak on stone and grilled stuff. The desserts here are very nice too.
Hannah Mathew
We started with a delicious crispy bacon&potato salad and a not-so-delicious coconut crumb fried prawns<br/><br/>while the salad had a perfect balance of crunch and freshness to it, the prawns were too much. I didn't like the batter or the sauce that came along with it because it did no justice to the meat. There was far too much batter, and the sauce was just like plain mayonnaise! The fries alongside made the combination all too greasy and unwelcoming to the palate.<br/><br/>Then we ordered "STEAK OK STONE"<br/>beef with red wine sauce, hammour fish with white wine sauce, and chicken with butter garlic sauce.<br/>They made it fresh on a hot stone, at the table itself. I absolutely loved the it. The meat was thinly sliced, perfectly cooked and the mash and veggies on the side complimented it well. As did the sauces !I thoroughly enjoyed my main course! <br/><br/>The carbonara pasta was alright, just your usual carbonara with sauce that was a little too thick for my liking.<br/><br/>The quality of meat was excellent. The service was great, and the overall ambience gave a very "sun, sand, sea" kinda vibe, perfectly suited to goa. There were live lobsters and fish tanks everywhere to suit the team.<br/><br/>Would love to try their other stuff :)<br/>
Official_goanfoodie
They call it a Mint Cooler, I kind of liked this drink , coz it's a bit like beat the heat resfreshing drink. Food was okay,Indian n Goan is food available here.

I really enjoyed myself today along with my friends at Martins. When we stepped inside we saw a floor aquarium on which we could walk, it's kinda cool. Each item we ordered was great. From food to ambience it's beautiful. Loved the steak on the stone, it's not something we get in every restaurant. Staff was really nice, I would like to thank Roy and other staff for the lovely service they gave. I'll definitely visit again...

A successful restaurant is not just about good food, but a lot depends on great hospitality as well. On our recent visit to Goa we went to Martins at Margao. Conviniently located , this is one place you should never miss in your next visit to Goa. “The Drinks”. We began our evening with a great range of good looking cocktails. Blue Hazed Surf, Bloody Mary, Singapore Sling, White Russian of which our favourites were the Blue Hazed Surf. A great mix of cashew fenny, Curacao and lemonade and of course the Singapore Sling which was served the traditional way on crushed ice and soda. Absolutely refreshing.

Speciality is the stone cooked steak. But if you're gonna order it, be ready for a steam facial. Also the entire restaurant will most probably be filled with smoke as well. This place should have been open air. Live music, but a bit too loud for a small setting like this. Food is amazing. Service is swell too.
Arvind
Centrally located at Margao the only negative would be the lack of parking space outside. <br/>Once you get in though it's a gastronomic delight. Lovely food, very friendly and cheerful staff and a mouthwatering menu. <br/>Worth the visit
Rajiv
Rawas fried prawns were really good. <br/>Butter Garlic Squid and the Basil Pesto pasta were decent. The squid was a little too sweet. <br/><br/>Thank you to Jhonny for giving us space even though they was close to their closing time.
Bhargava Krishna
Been to this restaurant which is half an km from the hotel which I stayed @margao.. <br/>Ordered food from the board which was hanged (house spl dishes list) opposite my table.. <br/>I was here by 11:40am and seemed I was the first customer on that day. <br/>Started with green detox mocktail which I liked it instantly and ordered parmesan drumsticks and two pieces of chicken drumsticks (leg pieces) were served with some cream and salad. <br/>Drumsticks were of different taste and good with the cream given . Salad is very good. <br/>Finished with fresh mango pannacotta which is very good. Service is good and fast as I'm the only one in house :) <br/>Ambience is ok and felt price for parmesan drumsticks is not justified for 2 pieces :(<br/>Will do visit again if I reach margao.

Best Joint to awaken your sleepy tastebuds.Awesome food , Best service.Ambience is really. cool Food is just out of the world. The most recommended dish is the pork chops .The fat of pork is like cotton candy , so soft and ye perfectly saturated of oil. Also classic bbq beef is like heaven at your doorstep . All in all , if you love food then this restaurant will give you a whole new experience.<br/><br/>

Amazing food. Good ambience. The waiters here are very friendly and suggest you the must tries. Have tried almost all d dishes here. The cocktails are also very refreshing. Stuffed mushrooms n Mexican grilled chicken is a must try.

If you are at Margao, then Martin's is a must. Nice quiet place with some great people around is how Martin's appears to be. After 20 mins, you will say a nice place, great people and awesome food is what Martin's is about. We ordered some beef steak on stone and loved seeing it getting cooked in front of us. The Portuguese Chicken starter is also simply out of this world. We also ordered some Surf, Turf and Chicken which has beef, chicken and prawns. <br/>Over all the best food I've had since a long time.
Parija Patankar Bhat
Zero value for money! The place is known for sea-food, all right! But that doesn't mean that people who are vegetarians should be treated like dirt by the stewards there... We went to the place with high hopes but unfortunately our appetites were killed by the attitude of the staff. Not recommended at all.. there are much better places in Goa!!
Biju Viswanath
This a very nice place and must go for any person visiting margao. I have been here twice and even being a vegetarian I liked the food. My wife who osna non vegetarian really loved the food
Alinio
Good location. Might have difficulty getting parking tho. Food n cocktails are really innovative but pricey. Place is dark n cramped, try to get place on top. Ok for couple dining not for groups.

Martins is a lovely place situated in a strategic corner. What we loved about the place is the friendly servers who know what they are serving and know to strike a good conversation - which is important to us since a good waiter can make or break your beautiful evening out.<br/>We love the quirky drinks and the various offers they offer time to time. The starters, though small portions were delicious and just enough.<br/>We had steak on stone and enjoyed listening to the story of the special stone from South America. We often stop by Martins whenever we visit Margao.
The Foodgasmic Moody
Great place in Margao. Not to be mistaken with Martins Corner. Had lunch with my dad here and must say very cozy little place. Nice fish and beef here and the steaks are good too. Bit pricy as compared to some of the other places in the vicinity but a great place over all.
Cedric Sequeira Vaz
Definitely the best steak place in South goa! Personally I prefer the normal steaks to their steal on stone though. The pork ribs are delicious too. Definitely worth the price. A good steak doesn't come cheap so it's hard comparing rates to other places.

So as I was on a short stay in Goa for the weekend I wanted to have some BEEF that is Banned in my state. So my cousin from Goa invites me over for Lunch at Martin's. Easy to locate onto Google Maps and convenient.<br/><br/>So as I entered the restraunt the flooring of a Fish tank was something which got me a bit perplexed so I hopped a bit thinking I'd trip on it. But it's something innovative which I found. So as we sat at the dining the waiter Johnny was very helpful right from directing us to our table to helping us with the menu's to serving. Very appropriate and neat.<br/><br/>I ordered the thing I so craved ie.Beef xacuti which was first on menu, and trust me it was marvelous. Just Brilliant! Next in queue were Sausage choreso,Steak on stone ,Goan tigers & Sausage pulao. Ok then I had the time of my life for those 2 hours accompanied for the drinks was vodka and 7up.<br/><br/>The music played was some 20 year old and it was just nailing it track after track.<br/><br/>A negative part was we weren't served Finger Bowls!!!<br/><br/>Even while exiting every employee wishes you a thank you and a bye. Something which I really appreciated.<br/><br/>Hmm yes ,keeping a blind part to that overall experience I'd tag it as 5 on 5.<br/><br/>A very Big Thank you to johnny for all the help onto every role he played well at.<br/>Cheers Martin's!<br/>

Martin's corner exudes a vibe of fine dining with a fun quirky twist. It lives up to it's name of serving some good food in the area for sure. <br/>The ambience is very relaxed and classy<br/>The interiors were lovely, dim lit with funky blue and red spotlights here and there. <br/>The service was commendable.<br/>The menu had such a variety and it all sounded so good, I made up my mind that I would come here every vacation and try out the max. No of those lovely sounding dishes for sure. <br/><br/>Our order was as follows;<br/>Drinks - <br/>Fruit punch: lovely blend of a variety of fruits, had a strong dominating berry flavour to it which I liked. <br/>Mint lime: cool with a good amount of zesty lime and aroma of mint leaves.<br/><br/>Main course - <br/>Chorizo penne pasta - the server recommended this dish, it looked fancy presentation wise. When it came to flavour, you get kind of sick of the overbearing amount of meat after a while. The ratio of pasta and meat wasn't right, so much so that we couldn't eat the entire quantity of meat served. <br/><br/>Steak on stone- Martin's has this lovely addition to the menu, wherein your choice of meet can be cooked in front of you, kind of like the Korean bbq vibes. There is an option of which meat to go for, the sauce along with it and 2 sides.<br/>I opted for chicken as a safe bet, along with creamy mushroom sauce, garlic butter vegetables and mashed potatoes as my sides. <br/>The server wasn't too careful, he spilled a little bit of hot oil on me, thankfully I was too excited to see my chicken cook. The meat was tender, juicy and a delight to eat, along with those garlic butter veggies, mashed potatoes and glorious creamy sauce. I was a happy woman. <br/><br/>Will definitely come back! <br/> <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

One of few fine dine restaurant in Margao. Had been to this cozy corner located restaurant on Christmas. Ambiance was good for a small size restaurant. Though food combination options and preparation were good at decent price, was little disappointed with the quantity of food on the platter.  Had first hand experience of stone baked food. Was expecting some special offer for Christmas Day.<br/><br/>Staff was responsive and had good dining experience for Continental food here.

We had lunch here and from our 3 day stay in South Goa this restaurant is where we got the best Goan seafood! For starters we had Pork Roast and Buffalo Wings both of which were great but the quantity won't impress many. For the main course we had steam rice with Shark Amboti Tik curry and Pomfret Rechado Fry. The fry fish was awesome and the servers were considerate enough to show us the raw fish to choose from different sizes. We ended our meal with a delicious classic American Hot Chocolate Brownie. This is quite an affordable place for lunch and the ambience is pretty good. It's air conditioned which was a relief from the scorching afternoon heat and the music was also tasteful. A good place to bring your family.

Loved the food and the service. Very polite staff . The chicken stake on wood was to die for - we had ordered this with sides of potato wedges and butter garlic veggies . The sauce was super. Then we also tried prawn vindaloo : super spicy and delicious. The prawns were well cooked and the gravy was perfectly cooked. Stay away if you don't have a spice tolerance. We ordered the desert : New York cheese cake and Hot brownie with icecream, they were nice after the vindaloo .

Excellent food right from their starters to their desserts. Steaks are exceptional, the steak on a stone are very appealing and have a great seasoning.<br/>Overall very good food BUT the WAIT really tests your patience. Good food WORTH the wait, but yes there is quite the wait.<br/>Interior- 3/5<br/>Food- 5/5<br/>Service- 4/5<br/>Pricing- 3/5 * a little too high.

A fine dine place located at very strategic location. Started with Mexican vegetable salad followed by salmon w/ corn & spinach - just awesome. Don't miss the Prawns Biriyani. Cookies fudge with Ice cream made a good finishing. Staff was nice & of course this is not a fast food place so relax & plan for sufficient time based on number of people.

Great service and food. The ambience gives a mixed feeling of homeliness but exotic. Loved the choriso pulao. Although the price is definitely higher than it should be. I would love to visit Martins again.

Decent place to have food if you are in Margao city , but is certainly overpriced. Ambience is good but the service is slow                    ...

Excellent food. For vegetarians the cottage cheese steak is a must try.<br/>The cookies and cream fudge was one of the special's of the day and was absolutely fabulous.

Strategically located !! Decent food but certainly over priced. They boast of some fine steaks, I particularly like the steak on stone. The restaurant has a tad bit fine dine appearance. They serve some good pasta too. However the service is slow. Still worth a try.

What a pleasant surprise. I've lived in South Goa for the last 7-8 months and tried many of the places. I wish I'd come here earlier, and that I'd come this time with more people to get a broader sampling. My balsamic vinaigrette rosemary beef steak was the best steak I've ever had in India. I ordered 'medium' and I'd say it came med-well. It had been tenderized a bit and cut up effortlessly. <br/><br/>As expected for a place that leans toward the gourmet side, portions aren't huge, although there was plenty of steak but a bit light in the side veggies. <br/><br/>The physical place is fine, albeit with tricky parking, with limited seating (only 8 tables). Comfortable ac and instrumental jazz softly playing in the background. <br/><br/>I'll be back!

Went to this place last week with the family, based on the reviews found here. I was thoroughly disappointed. We ordered two surf and turf steaks with prawns and chicken. The steak was hard and rubbery, the prawns were cold and the mashed potato at the bottom was just plain mashed potato without even as much as a pinch of salt. Just not worth the money that was spent on it. <br/>My parents ordered the vindaloo and sausage pulao on their recommendation. The sausage pulao had very little sausage and was pungent as was the vindaloo which lacked any and all flavour other than being excessively pungent and with overcooked pork. Made for a very unpleasant experience and charging through the roof really didn't help matters.<br/>I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Superb place .. m surprised why I didn't go here befr . Staff is very good.. food is excellent and ambience is also nice. Service speed is also good. <br/>Ordered mushroom chicken cream soup , loved the flavors.<br/>Den had golden fried prawns and bbq chicken . Again perfectly cooked n seasoned.<br/>Lastly .. the chicken steak cooked on stone live in front of you on the table .. I chose to pair it with sweet corn, mashed potatoes and cream mushrooms sauce. It was out of the world ! Would definitely go back.. slightly costly but worth it

Absolute coziness. Great food and very good service. Tried a pork roast starter which was on-point. Also had a chicken 'cooked on stone' sizzler, didn't have a lot of expectations but turned out to be great. Ask for specials when it comes to desserts and drinks. Will definitely head there soon again. Centrally located, and apt for couples and families.

The place looks small, but the food is really good. The lobster with butter garlic sauce was just amazing, spicy cheese balls, steak on stone, and most importantly the banoffie pie with ice cream is to die for. Since the place is small feel a like cramped, the staff is extremely friendly, but the price is slightly on the higher side. But that banoffie pie is something that we will go back for..

I jus love this place not only for their food but also for their service. Excellent service. Their food is upto mark. Steaks, sizzlers, pasta etc. I give it 4.5 only coz it's expensive compare to other restaurants.

Stop listing "Home Delivery" as a perk when you do not even offer it. Absolutely misleading and irresponsible act in order to show up in Zomato's search results.

This restaurant without doubt is one of my most favourite restaurant. We ordered chicken satay and BBQ chicken for starters and both of them were simply delicious. The chicken was juicy and marinated well. For mains the Moroccan chicken was a bit bland but the chicken steak on stone was very innovative and a brilliant idea where they cook the chicken in front of you on the table as per your liking. They sent us off with the most creamy and perfect mango and chocolate panna cottas.

A place offering fantastic food and excellent service. The home made spanish chorizo's is a must have! Excellent! The steak on stone is enjoyable and the theatrics form a form of the experience. We also had the norwegian salmon and the pomfret stuffed with goan chorizo. Lovely! I must also make a special mention of their drinks. Kudos to the bartender for the yummiest urak cocktail ever. A great experience but a little heavy on the wallet.

A small restaurant tucked away in the corner near a park/ post office in Madgaon. Given most tourists skip Madgaon, they miss out on the wonderful food on offer at Martins<br/>.<br/><br/>I had the pork chilly fry to go with my beer - awesome choice. The kids had a pasta (which they liked), and a plate of fish fingers. I loved the extensive Goan selection on their menu, we tried a chicken cafreal for the main course and it was so tasty - full of flavor and not overpoweringly spicy. Will certainly go back to try other Goan choices on their menu!<br/><br/>The ambience is quite nice - like a proper up market sit down restaurant.

Amazing place - absolutely delicious food, friendly service and value for the money.<br/>I was very impressed with the quality and variety of dishes served at Martins. It was the best experience I had from all the restaurants in Margao.<br/><br/>I'm definitely visiting again and bringing along my friends & family.

Absolutely spell bound with ambience . Live music and amazing outdoors add to it . Must try are the pork ribs, squid and fish fingers . !!!

This is a city restaurant, in terms of ambiance it is as good as you can get in a limited space, rich hardwood floors, kind of colonial look. Drinks (i am teetotaler) for a non-drinker too are quite good. The spread of food specially for somebody who wants to experience international is immense. There is huge variety here, although i am bit hampered in my choices as i don't eat beef & pork. we tried the Moroccan Fish here, that was terrific, with rich aroma & eclectic taste of afro-arabian spices, tiramisu was great too. But the real specialty is the the combos u can make while having ur steak cooked on volcanic stones right in front of your eyes, this is a must try.  especially recco the turkey.

The place is really good. Decent ambiance and the service was real quick and the staff was friendly. Coming to food, it is really tasty and different cuisine. Pricing is bit high but still worth it. Fish tasted real good.

Very good place. The highlight has to be the dish - "Steak on Stone". Quoting them -- "Steaks cooked at the table, allowing you to tell the staff just how well you want it done". Amazing ambiance and good people. Food was amazing.

This place is up there wen it comes to food, ambiance and all. Super joint, stated as a small place and has grown.I have been visiting this place since my childhood days. Thefood taste awsome, try the sausage pulao, golden fry kalamari or butter garlic kalamari. The food is yum to the last bite. They have live music, well dats like a cherry on the cake. Do visit this place.

Not to be confused with the more popular (slightly over hyped) Martin's Corner in Betalbatim, Martins is easily one of my favourite places. Located in the most unsuspecting place in the heart of Margao, Martins took me by surprise the first time I had a meal here.<br/><br/>The best thing on the starters menu are the grilled tiger prawns served with the lemon butter garlic sauce and the pesto skewered chicken. The flavours are not overdone, and quite literally burst in your mouth.<br/><br/>I've never really gone beyond their continental menu, so I don't know how any of the items on the 'Indian' and 'Goan' menu fare. Their famed steak on sizzlers are quite the experience, but I prefer ordering a main from the other part of the menu. The chicken Roulade is one of my favourite things. I would also recommend the pasta - specifically, the basil and pesto spaghetti.<br/><br/>Martins is my go-to restaurant for when I want a guaranteed good meal. It is a gem of a place where you'd least expect it to be.

This is my first review on Zomato and quite well deserving. This is the best taste+portions+service+ambience combination I've had in a long time!!! Compliments to the chef! Hospitality was absolutely genuine and service was impeccable! Margaon was an unavoidable pitstop but this restaurant would actually make another trip to this city completely worthwhile.

Sexy as always.<br/>Went there but didn't had that much.<br/>Because I was sick.<br/>I had the starters and it was incredibly awesome.<br/>Service-5.0<br/>Ambience-4.5<br/>Menu-5.0<br/>Worth the price<br/>Guys if you are going for Goa try martins🙂

Great place, great food, great ambience, quick service. <br/><br/>this was my second visit with my husband, he really loves this place. The cocktails were good. The starters were sufficient too. We ordered a chicken sizzler, beef chilly fry , chorizo chilly fry( my personal fav here) and it did not disappoint us at all. <br/><br/>Staff was courteous & friendly as well.<br/><br/>We going back to this place every time we visit Margao. <br/><br/>good job Martins!!!

Good place very conveniently located near the bus and railway stations. Moderately priced food and drinks. Small place but has a good ambience. Most dishes are excellent but the roast gravy pork is to die for. Most people don't go to margao as a tourist attraction and therefore miss out on this place. It's best to go here on the way to or back from the station.
