A small cafe with yummy breakfast. Had breakfast burger, omelet and carrot cake. All were yummy and ended with 2 servings of coffee. Must visit place in and around Belinium.

Nice cozy small cafe Just building up their menu so you would be lucky to get a taste of their different items.everyday Some of the best staples served there are the Nutella Berliners in sweet and in Savouries they have nice chilly chicken bread and chicken burgers. They also server pizza that's a must try. Have an eye on their chicken and beef burger that's served with fries and salad have to try that soon. Also serve breakfast which includes different types of egg preparations and souffle and american style pancakes, waffles. The dishes are well priced and is a current favourite for evening tea and coffee

Simply the best breakfast I found in this region! Coming there almost every day, and continue coming! Also very friendly staff, cozy place and (!) good music. Highly recommend!

Great ambience, unique restaurant with unique menu. The owner and staff are friendly. The dosas are the best in Goa, they are like homemade. Most importantly it’s pet friendly our Sasha loved the place. The owner and staff are pet loving which makes this place different from other pet friendly restaurants. Perfect place to hangout with your fur-friend. Will definitely visit again.

Situated in the busy yet quite lanes of Margao , this place looks like it is set up in a bungalow. Very nicely decorated with beautiful interiors , lots of board games to play and yet appears extremely spacious . They have selected menu and the food is extremely good . We tried the chicken soup and it was really tasty. It's a peaceful place good for evening hang outs. They have a small library as well .

A cute little cafe. We had the blueberry muffin, nutella donut, chicken fry pao and eclairs. All was delicious and freshly baked!

Beautiful theme based restaurant with a very high price to service ratio. Also, the place is uncertain of the operating days.

Nice and roomy cafe with great options in snacks and breakfast. We had a lot of time to kill, so came here spent an entire afternoon just sitting and talking in the couch and sipping the aromatic ginger tea. Plus there are plenty of coffe table books and travel books stuffed in the shelf. So treat yourself to a leisurely afternoon at the chikoo tree project here in Margao!🙌

Great place, with a unique menu. I'd recommend Choris dosa to those who eat pork. 😋

Great food, loved the healthy yet yummy spread served here. It's great value for money for the quality of food. The menu has a good balance of starts, salads, mains, desserts and beverage. The bread are fresh & homemade. Gluten free options also available! A big wooow Keep it up and I will definitely go back for more.

We stopped here on our way to Palolem for brunch. A big plus for us was that it was pet friendly and our dog had a really nice time running around the cafe. The food and beverages were really good especially their signature coffee. The staff are kind and the ambience is pretty warm and cozy.

French fries were so good

Great place and great food. Amazing variety of cuisine and wonderful taste. The only problem is they don't have much staff which results in orders getting delayed if there are a lot of people. You can even read magazines and play board games to pass time here. Cleanliness and hygiene are not an issue either.

With only 36 hours in Margao I had to find one restaurant to eat in, and it was here. What a good choice! The menu is straightforward, yet creative and with 'fusion' dishes. I had a lovely chat with Trupti, the owner, who explained how they grow a lot of the vegetables in their own kitchen garden, and source the rest at the local market. I really tasted this in the sweet and delicious vegetable stew. I also tried the raaga dosa which was recommended in other reviews and was indeed delicious. Accompanied by the home-made ginger ale , it was a zingy yummy treat of a meal.

Great food and ambience. But the service was not so great from the service staff. Lack of knowledge. But the lady who I think is the owner was great. With great knowledge and was kind. Also the server offered a lemongrass lemonade which hardly had a flaivor of lemon grass. And it was 150 rupees. Which is not a value for money.....

We celebrated our daughter's eighth birthday here and it was the perfect choice. The team was super flexible and very attentive to our needs. The menu that we finalised was spot on and all the guests loved it. And it ain't easy to please a whole bunch of 7-12 year olds! If you're in Goa and looking to have a small celebration, this place must be on your list.

Innovative menu, great ambience, nice presentation and the food was yum specially the hasselback potatoes with bacon and cheese and the chorizo bruchettas. Great place Trupti and Anand. Wishing you sucess in your new venture...... Will definetly be back

Delicious Homely Food on the menu. Best place for breakfast, lunch and casual meetings..
Sagar Badakere
My favorite 'brunch' joint in South Goa.. Have always loved the dishes recommended by Trupti and thanks for making them a little extra spicy for us.. And also, one of the best dessert menus I've recently come across.. Not just the Banoffee pie.. But also the coconut tart.. :)
Advika Gulshan Chunekar
Cant believe food can be tasty and healthy at the same time ... very friendly staff and live band was awesome . It was a great experience .. must visit when in Goa

When the Nation is going cashless, this place doesn't accept card payment. The food is good, but takes long time to reach your table. The staff needs to be updated to answer clients queries about menu.

I love the place and the food ...excellent but i must say a bit overpriced .

Superb food. Natural ambience. One of the few independent restaurants worth going to. Highly recommended.
Manish Gosalia
a truly amazing restaurant tucked away in the by lanes of margao, a warm and friendly ambience and sumptuous meals, great service (catering to individual needs), a boon for a person like me who is gluten intolerant. open through the day so a great option to unwind with a hot chai or a fresh homemade juice. Both Trupti and Anand are fantastic hosts and it a pleasure to unwind at The Chikoo Tree Project

I can honestly say that the curry I had here was one of the most delicious I’ve ever tasted… And completely unusual. highly recommended

We have visited Chikoo tree project twice in 2 years. Food is delicious. Enjoyed their vegetarian selection. Loved the pastas. Overall experience is food is very tasty and fresh but took a while to be served.

Chikoo Tree Project has been doing the rounds on social media for a while now and is quite popular among the townspeople. Looking at the rave reviews, we happened to go here, instead of the regular Patisserie Victoria. The menu looked pretty eclectic and consisted of cusines from the north to the south of the country. But when we asked the attendant if we could get a particular dish, he downright said that only the sandwiches were available. We still treaded on and asked if the Pastas were available. Again, attendant told us that the noodles might be available. So my friend ordered a Goan Poi sandwich and I ordered the Masala noodles. Wrong choice! The sandwich was dry and very elasticy, and the noodles were basically Maggi with just lots of masala broth. Couldn't even finish half the bowl because it was just bad.<br/><br/>I'm hoping that maybe this was just a one time thing and they probably do serve dishes that are delicious. But during my visit, I didn't find neither the food nor the staff very appealing.
Isha Saglani
Service miserably slow.Had to wait an hour for one sandwich.Dosas which are supposed to be a speciality were unavailable.<br/>Food tasted good but the wait was way too long.Expected so much more after reading the reviews online but was disappointed.<br/>

Coming from Margao, when one heads further up north, one becomes the subject of topics of conversation that span across the wonders of the north and how the south is a dark space under a rock. However, every once in a while, there are a few places that seem to break free of that little theoretical cocoon, and this haunt in question calls itself ‘The Chikoo Tree Project’. It serves as a nice plan to slot working lunches when in the city, or a fun meeting place, in general. While the space is small and cosy, the hearts of the people in the kitchen and the portions are massive. If you haven’t yet slotted ‘The Chikoo Tree Project’ into your planner, now wouldn’t be such a bad time to start doing so.

We stopped by TCTP last evening for dinner. We love quirky interiors and unusual setting and this place was a delight to the eyes in terms of colour, art, graffiti and ambience. Love at first sight! The service was lovely and prompt. The menu was a funky mix of items from the North, East, South and the West. We sampled the chicken thupka, and it was delicious with a good portion size; spicy beef salad - doused with vinegar and shocking the taste buds; kal dosai with keema - lovely combination and for desserts we had kokum cupcake and coconut pudding which was a perfect finale to the scrumptious food. <br/>We walked around the restaurant and spent time looking at their wee library on the first floor and the many paintings which adorn their space. We decided to go back to the place with our laptops and perhaps work there in the first floor, living off their delicious food and drinks.<br/>An art-house bistro with cozy interiors and friendly staff.

A beautiful quaint cafe, with surprisingly amazing food.<br/>The bacon cheese fries were yum. A huge huge serving of thukpa that can be shared by 02 and a heavenly dessert called vanilla chocolate Marriage. Every dish hits home and gives you that warm cozy feeling.

Second time here, driving through the lanes of Margao, came across The Chikoo Tree Project. It is time to write about it.<br/><br/>Here is the feedback:<br/>1. Ambience <br/>Casual yet modern and contemporary<br/>The dining tables are pretty neat with newspapers articles all over <br/><br/>2. Food Quality <br/>First time ordered - Anda Bhurji <br/>Slightly different from the usual bhurji. Nice flavours of the ingredients. Overall well done.<br/><br/>Second time - Masala Paddu / Ragi Dosa (Egg & Cheese)<br/>Well done on this dish and super healthy<br/><br/>Ending the breakfast with a Robusta Coffee, couldn’t have asked for anything more.<br/><br/>Will certainly return for sure. Recommended for breakfast visits

I was taken to this place recently by a close friend whose office is close by. Really loved the ambience and vibe. Was VERY impressed by the items on the menu. Unfortunately we only time for a coffee each THAT was very very good. I am dying to go there ASAP to explore and enjoy the treats I saw on their menu. Keep it up guys. Would recommend strongly

I don't know why this restaurant is so highly rated on Google.<br/>Nothing great about this restaurant except fun interior and hospitality. I won't recommend this restaurant.

This place is cute as a button. Tucked away in the south - Margao is a welcome change from the usual busy Goa that I’ve been used to. The owners Anand and Trupti are charming hosts with their power packed hospitality backgrounds and their love for dogs(ask to meet their pets and they will gladly oblige). They have curated their menu based on childhood experiences so be prepared for adaptations of treats from their granny’s kitchen. The ragi dose with Goan chorizo is a must try, the crisp dosa cuts the acidic pork and the results are heart warming. The Coorg pork is bursting with flavours that are on point and a must try for someone who hasn’t been exposed to this dish - a staple part of the Coorg diet. I enjoyed the Bengali fish curry and the delicate chicken stew. What stole the show was their banoffe pie. It’s worth packing a few on the go. They have a good wine and beer list and if you want to drink something specific the hosts are gracious enough to allow you to carry on your own bottle. Coffee lovers must try their cold drip coffee with jaggery!!! All in All a hidden gem

Such an amazing "Adda" this is..<br/>Playfully decorated interiors, carom corner, books, games, colours, an appetizing breakfast menu, best chai service, and the most friendly staff!<br/>Barge into this place on a lazy Sunday morning with your gang and you're sure not to regret !! To top all this, you could let your pets in with you too, what more could one ask for?<br/><br/>This urban cafe easily deserves a 4.5/5

Small cosy place, easy to locate. Had breakfast here. Well cooked. Must try the bacon here, it’s delicious. A bit heavy on pocket but can go once in a while ! Friendly staff

Very quite place and there are books to read also.We tried Hasselbeck potato which was heaven ,pasta with red sauce wasn't good since they served raw tomato puree and tasted horrible.

Great coffee! fulfils the desires of someone looking for something different in Margao, great place to start your mornings in peace unlike other cafe's noisy rushed mornings.

This place is really cute! You'll love the ambience over here. We opted for the hassleback potatoes with garlic and cheese, sausage cheese sandwich, pesto chicken and tomato sandwich and a breakfast dish that consisted of two sunny side ups with a mayo and onion dressing, sausages, bread and a grilled tomato. The breakfast dish was the best. The sandwiches were awesome. Pesto one tasted better. Also the portions are great. They give you not one but two sandwiches along with fries!. Also had the lemongrass lemonade which was great! What an interesting twist to lemonade. For dessert we took a banoffe pie. It tasted great with the right proportion of all ingredients. Best part was that they served us really well here. The staff were humble and the owner of this place was very sweet to us. She made us feel really comfortable which made our meal even better. Please do visit this hidden gem in the streets of Margao!

Had a very disappointing experience <br/>Found a strand of hair in the food and none of the staff apologised for it. They charged us full price for the item and upon questioning them that even though a hair strand was found in their food if it's okay to charge us full price , we were shocked to hear a yes

Loved the place calm n friendly environment to hangout with your squad...along with playing some indoor games as well as for the readers to grab a book while enjoying some variety of food. Loved the entire designing n concept of the place..its like going back to childhood also loved what I orderd the yummy cheesy fries with bacon n chicken dumplings with three different dips. The service was on point.

A quaint little place in South Goa which makes you feel at home the minute you enter. The interesting thing about this place is that, it not only offers food but also other activities. They organise fun events and arrange for live band to perform making the place dynamic. Every time you enter the place, you might just find something fun happening here.

This is quite a story of UNSTOPPABLE PASSION cooped up a bungalow solely for serving their passion on the platter. The first sight of this place brings back that homely feeling while i was there holidaying. Upon entering i was greeted with warmth and joy. The place was brightly lit and the Ambience was hunky dory! With the right amount of liveliness..<br/>Leme start the Gupshup:<br/><br/>The Food was the USP of this cafe restaurant coz they made sure that the veggies were produced in their lil garden. And needless to say, the quality of the food was good! Here's what we ordered:<br/><br/>Appe Kerala styled: So the dish of the day was Appe and i was at first reluctant to try it but all thanks to the wonderful couple (running this place) who recommended this dish. And boy it was oh so delicious! The vegetable stew was the icing on the cake. It augured well with the appe and the potato masala.<br/><br/>Pesto Pasta: Perfect basil flavour and parmesan cheese concoction made it delicious. Plus the veggies used were homegrown.. i wanted a creamier version and asked them to do it so and yes twas done!<br/><br/>Ginger Ale: this syrup was also made by them and served to us. Twas way too gingerly for me. I found it rancid and my throat could feel the burning sensation coz of the ginger! so i quite dint like this ale! Ginger lovers might just love it.<br/> <br/>This place is a revelation. Must must visit if you go to Goa. The service is quick and staff are courteous. This place is towards expensive side but then its worth the pay!

After some buzz about the place thanks to the marketing done by the foodie card I decided to have a visit and try out some of the food. <br/>The ambiance is decent. The menu is relatively small which was a pleasant change from the usual huge menus we see. However, that got me thinking the food would be excellent as the choice was not great.<br/>Had the hasselback potatoes, pretty overrated I must say . The koli Curry was decent at best.<br/> The much famed ice coffee also did not match the hype. <br/>On the whole a pretty disappointing experience as I expected much better. I do hope it was an off day for the chickoo tree.<br/>

The Chikoo Tree project is my go to place in Margao. Whenever i visit Goa i look forward to dine here. The owners Trupti Wesley's passion is evident in every nook and corner of the restaurant as well as the menu. The best part was the food pop-up they had organized with a home chef who whipped up lip-smacking kolhapuri delicacies. I personally recommend their Ragi dosa, Thukpa and Veg kathi roll. Right from their delicious desserts esp Banoffee pie to their coconut ice cream is to die for. A must visit for every one!
Prashant Suri
If you are in Margao make sure you visit The Chikoo Tree Project. The food is excellent and very different so there is something new for everyone, service is second to none and the added bonus is the board games and books that you can read . Would highly recommend this restaurant and a meal with drinks does not cost a fortune. Make sure you try their signature dish Ragi dosa. <br/>Thanks Ahmed for flawless service

Been craving for pasta for quite sometime now and going here was the best decision. Simply brilliant pasta.. We also ordered cheese fries and Kathi wrap which were equally good. Their fresh watermelon juice and strawberry milkshake were perfect solutions to this blistering heat. The ambience was brilliant. So in love with the entire concept. Amazing place to hangout.. Serene and homely. Keep up the great work !

Recently visited this place only to find it empty on a Sunday, initially I thought it was due to the fact that it was the location but once I placed my order it became apparent as to what was the reason for the emptiness... We ordered a lime soda and I requested for a Iced Jaggery Tea and to my bewilderment I received only Ice tea and not even a hint of Jaggery and the basic lime soda left a lot to be desired too... We also ordered for Chicken Momos which were not great but okayish... And their much revered stuffed potato with stuffing of cheese and bacon was bland and not easy to eat, the only saving grace was the banoffee pie... And according to me this is the best pie you can get in Goa... Pure toffee but in a nutshell this place only flattered to deceive... Totally disappointed.
Blanco Dias
Decent food... Not exceptional.. had the jaggery iced tea.. nothing much jaggery about it.. the dosa was good... But I like wat they have done to the place.. it's beautiful.. very personalised touch.. good place to chill out.. lots of board games to keep u entertained... Jus have to work on their food

Had never ever heard of the place, untill I visited on a friends recomendation. A small place in the heart of Margao City. Verry cozy ambience with a limited yet mouth watering menu.<br/><br/>Had orderd the hasselback with bacon and cheese and khathi wraps with sausage and lamb kheema. Plated to perfection and an absolute delight to the palate. Never would have guessd that the items would compliment each other.....but it works..<br/><br/>Ambience. 8/10<br/>Food. 9/10<br/>Staff 9/10<br/>Beverages. 7/10<br/>Music. 6/10<br/><br/>Overall a great place to be...<br/>

Went in with great expectations but was mostly disappointed. The ambience is a win, what with its eclectic decor and block printed walls. The drinks too are decent, ginger ale being a favorite.<br/><br/>We ordered tuna momos, which had the unmistakable taste of mackerel so that situation was quite fishy. Also it had quite a lot of bones in all their unsoftened glory, which in a steamed dish is unacceptable. So that's a no.<br/><br/>Next up was dish of the day, that's stir fried chicken wings with garlic fried rice. The wings were salty but otherwise featureless. The fried rice was alright, but expect a twist with peas and cauliflower florets.<br/><br/>Overall a letdown as:<br/> ⋅For the upmarket pricing*, I expect a much more sophisticated take on the said dishes<br/>⋅the basic need to not find bones (not few, those too, but like three in every bite) isn't too much to ask for<br/>⋅There are places which offer much better at much lower prices<br/><br/>*the total for 2 persons came to 800 INR, and we only took enough food to probably feed a single person

A friend of mine visited this place. Being a hindu, she specifically checked about dishes that included beef, pork, etc. In spite of this she was served bacon in her salad. After much discussion over whether it was bacon or not, it was bacon. She shared a review tagging the page. I shared it directly in a review on their page. The issue should have closed here by some sort of explanation but no. The restaurateur is more concerned that I shared some else's experience. Here is the tone of the reply copied from FB.<br/><br/>'It is a very kind service that you have provided your friend, by posting on her behalf and even rating on her behalf. Social media is open and very easily accessible to all as it is to your friend, XX, who I am certain, can write, post, rate any place or service herself if she really wishes to. Having said that, it would actually be helpful to me if you provided me with YY's alternate contact details on a private message, as I believe she has left her phone behind at the restaurant. I would like to return it to her a.s.a.p. and apologise to her in person, not anyone "on behalf", for this unfortunate incident.'<br/> <br/><br/>If they had attended to the initial post directly, they would have realized that they could get in touch with the customer directly over FB and FB messenger. But no. They were otherwise occupied with discretely trying to hide what happened and getting upset that the experience I shared was not my own.<br/><br/>Poor attitude for a restaurant serving in Goa. No Goan spirit there.
Barbara Pimenta
Very cozy place. Nice for a quiet lunch. Clean n well maintained. I enjoyed the lemonade and the snacks i ordered. Will go back as i wish to try out the ragi dosas.
Neil Desouza
One word to sum up the place...underwhelming..!!!<br/>Visited the place with great expectations but turned out to be a massive let down..tried the ragi dosa with sausages and cheese...The dosa was pleasantly different...The stew underwhelming and a Lil too sweet for my liking...The coconut chutney may as well have not been there..<br/>The biggest let down were hassle back potatoes with bacon and cheese which was underseasoned, undercooked and underwhelming...I expected creamy, soft, melt in your mouth almost mash sort of stuff...Wat I got was quite the contrary...<br/>The lamb kheema khatti roll was not the saving grace either...uninspiring, bland and nothing worth remembering. Even the famed coorgi iced coffee with jaggery fell flat, despite all the added jaggery I called for.<br/>I do hope this was an off day for them, or they desperately need to improve their standards and rethink their prices..If I'm paying in excess of 300 for a dosa or a kathi roll, I expect them to be pretty damn good and something that would keep me coming back for more...which isn't what this 1st impression has succeeded in doing
Rincy Varghese
A very sweet cosy relaxed place....the owners of the place are extremely warm and friendly which just makes the experience awesome...we have tried the farmers egg and the Raagi dosa with kheema and chorizos filling with vegetables stoo and it was amazing...we went back and this time we tried the hasselback potatoes with cheese and bacon, French fries with cheese and bolognese and pork curry with rice and for dessert we had banofe pie and brownie....the food was too good especially the pork curry and rice which is done the Coorgi style it is a must try. All the items we tried were delicious and I would go back for more 👍🏻👍🏻

We discovered this cute little place thanks to a newspaper article and couldn't be happier that we did! If you're looking for a change from beach shack food and lots of great veg options, don't miss The Chikoo Tree Project! It's homely, full of books and artwork, and has delicious food served with a lot of warmth by the owners who also put a lot of effort into making sure what you eat is perfect. The ragi dosas were amazing, and the momos are entirely homemade in spinach, beetroot and pepper flavoured wrappers! Don't miss the creamy hassleback potatoes either :) I can't wait to go back here on my next visit!

Nice interiors... prices hyped up for no reason ... not worth it ... not suitable for goans🤔 .. ordered a brownie fudge .. it measured jus 8cm×6cm×2cm .. paid 200 for it... didn't find it worth it ... the place can improve if they concentrate more on the food then in the interiors

Our train got delayed and we had lots of time to kill. We searched for a place and saw this, amazing ambience, board games & great interiors.<br/>It's only a month old and it's commendable to see that they make such brilliant food. We ordered thukpa first which was yummy! Later the owner suggested for a breakfast platter "eggs to order" which was so beautiful to look and delicious to taste! Eggs sunny side up with yummy mayo topping, French fries, baked tomato and sausages. We order one hot and one cold coffee as well. To conclude we had a coconut tart which didn't fail to impress like everything there. I would definitely visit again &I recommend everyone the same 😀

What I loved about this place is its ambiance!! It feels very homely here. You can play carrom, read books or just enjoy your meal. We ordered chicken thukpa, Kathi wrap, raagi dosa with chicken stuffing, rawa fried fish burger. The food menu is very innovative. We loved all the dishes except fish burger which was not up to the mark. Overall it's a good place to spend your time :)

The menu is as creative as it's homely. The place has a very positive and friendly vibe and immediately sets you at ease. Definitely try the ragi dosa with kheema, Hasselback potatoes and thukpa. Actually, try everything!
