This is a neat clean place to have a range of food items from early morning 7am to late night 10pm or so. South Indian food to indian snacks including North Indian ones all good here. Black coffee and samosa good too! Washrooms there for guests. Service quick reasonably Prices very reasonable Recommended

Jamal Ali was good humble person, food was good taste. Restaurant is very clean and easily accessible through google maps. Menu was good, vegetarian options are more prices are minimal and food is value for money. Masala dosa and veg thali is good, Samosa was delicious and yummy👌 Overall very good restaurant at Margao

Had an amazing experience at Navtara. Food is just so good. The server Imran, vikas & vilas are polite & quick. They handled all our orders efficiently and added to our experience.

We came here for the IBW; we were from Kerala. The restaurant is in dire need, and Rohit in particular provides excellent service. He was really considerate and listened to our instructions. Sugarcane juice is made by slightly diluting sugarcane with water rather than using sugarcane directly.

One of the best I have found in Madgaon.. These two persons Mr Sagar and Mafigul services are commendable... A must visit Pure Veg restaurant in South Goa..👌👍

Paratha masala chai and dosa is really good. Utthapam is bit thick and not up to the mark but restaurant is very good and taste is amazing otherwise

Good veg options is available . But the sitting is very congested and if you are big then very difficult to adjust in this chair. Parking is available and restrooms also ok.

We had an awesome experience. Food was very good. We ordered ghee masala dosa, idli, tea, masala chaas. Idlis were very soft and dosa was fresh and crispy. Service offered by vikas was too good. Very friendly staff.

It's a pure veg restaurant and you can get good north indian food here. Tried lassi, chaas, various starters and main course , all were great. Even shira was good. South indian food is not good here

The bhaji inside samosa was spoiled to such an extent, even a rat wouldn't eat it. Didn't expect this from Navtara. If it was not home delivery and we had to eat at their restaurant, would they serve such stale food?

All the three sabzis were really very tasty. Personally, I found the Malai Kofta amazing and would recommend it definitely. Among the breads, we ordered the Paneer Kulcha, butter naan and butter garlic naan. Butter garlic naan is really nice! The service was very slow but the food really did make up for the delay!<br/><br/>I would definitely recommend this place in Goa if you love North Indian cuisine.

It's next to the Carmelite Monastery Chapel where you will find alot of people soon after mass coming to this place having breakfast and a cup of tea.<br/><br/>The place serves only Veg items and the most famous Goan breakfast dish would be the Sukha and Patal Bhaji with piping hot puri's.<br/>They also serve dosa, idli, pav Bhaji, sandwiches, falooda, Chaat, Chinese and lots more.<br/><br/>You should try there Veg lollipop which consist of mushroom, cheese, paneer and onion on a skewer and deep fried in a batter which taste amazing.

Absolutely love the sambar from Navtara! I always order the idlis only so that I can dunk it in the sambar and have it. The idlis are really soft and light, not too dense. The schezwan dosa with or without cheese is a must try. The schezwan masala is so good that you can have the dosa by itself, you don’t need the sides at all. However, I wouldn’t recommend ordering anything with cheese here because there’s barely any of it. <br/>The special kurma bhaaji and puri is also really good.

Best place for vegetarians in Goa where almost every other restaurant is non- vegetarian. Simple but tasty vegetarian food. We almost had daily breakfast at this place as it was very near to our resort. Would surely recommend this restaurant to vegetarian people.

Located at various prime locations all over Goa, Navtara happens to be my favourite place when I'm in the mood for Veg Indian food or Indian (non-Goan) snacks. Satisfactorily hygienic, comfortable ambience helps one relax and recharge during a long day. Mostly busy but the staff seems to be quite efficient to tend to the crowd. Always recommend it if you're looking for the good, ordinary Indian food.

Love this place because we are pure veg and the quality of food is also we do lunch with 4 member of family and our total bill is 900 its a buffe type we order paneer , sweets , raita and many things but service of serving is little bit slow.

Visited this restaurant last week with my family. We are a hardcore non vegetarian but gave it a try anyways. The food was surprisingly very very yummy. We ordered tandoori roti, rice, paneer tawa masala, Dal tadka and some beverage. <br/>The food was really delicious, honestly I can’t remember any other place where I had a good veg food. The place was pretty hygienic with polite staffs. Would definitely visit the place again soon. <br/>

Love their cream of mushroom soup. They are technically no competition to Tatos when it comes to vegetarian food. But their food is average.

Good Restaurant with Tasty lassi. This is nice restaurant near to KTC bus stand I have enjoyed my Breakfast during my visit of North Goa during halt at Margao. I found it was good Choice of Mine Ajoy the person who served me food was good at his work .

We had visited this place for lunch while we were waiting for our train from Margao St. The restaurant is very close to the station and has good South Indian food. I had tried the masala dosa, rava masala dosa, Veg Biriyani and Veg sandwich and all of them were very good.

My friend and me were tired and hungry to the core, having walked a long distance all we craved was good food. Walking across the town we came across this restaurant and thought of giving it a try.<br/><br/>We ordered for 2 south indian thali, fruit salad with ice cream and gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream. The thali was a regulat south indian thali except for the Rasam which for our palletes was a tad more on the sour side. The other things on the thali were the stuff you usually get with the same taste.<br/><br/>The fruit salad with ice cream just had some diced fruits with a scoop of vanilla ice cream whereas the gulab jamun with ice cream went horribly wrong with the gulab jamun and only ice cream could be something that we could finish.<br/><br/>Overall a decent place with decent food available.

My favourite veg restaurant in margao. Mostly over crowded but the service Is good. The only place I love to eat utthampam at. No other restaurant serves utthapam like navtara margao. You have to try their dosas ( lot of varieties available ), Chinese bhel, chaat and the different juice / milk shake options. I don’t really like their North Indian main course / Chinese main course items.

I have been to navtara panaji and madgaon ! If u want to enjoy veg foods at moderate price in decent ambience then it's nice choice!! Taste of food of panaji is better!!

My quest for Gadbad and Falooda takes me to restaurants far and wide. This Red Indian (Native American to be technically correct) looking construct is from Hotel Navtara from Margao. Looks like a hybrid between a classic Gadbad & Falooda, and tastes like one too. I dunno what those apple pieces are supposed to achieve.<br/><br/>Tried the Paneer Fried Rice and it was a bit blend. But tasted nicer after adding a concoction of sauces.<br/><br/>But the piece of the cake was the Schezuan Masala Dosa. It was heavenly, and a welcome change from the usual.<br/><br/>The ceiling in the upstairs AC section is too low for a tall guy like me...it must be back breaking for 6+ feet guys.<br/><br/>The service is pleasant and love the fact that there is ample parking in the heart of Margao.

Spread out across 6 locations in Goa... Navtara seems to have made its mark. <br/>A selection of Punjabi, Mughlai, Chinese and South Indian food with lovely ambience, comfortable seats and tranquil music make for a lovely family outing.<br/>However when it comes to the food, we were highly disappointed. <br/>Chaats are poorly done and just not worth mentioning. South Indian food is good but the sambhar needs improvement. <br/>All in all I’m not really sure if visit again.

Saw multiple branches of this restaurant in goa, tried the food in their Madgaon branch. Saw a goan dish called xacuti on the menu and the waiter advised it is traditionally served with pav. Hence ordered for a mushroom xacuti with pav, along with kokum cooler. The xacuti tasted somewhat similar to kurma perhaps because of the use of coconut, can be tried once if you are in goa, the kokum cooler was served after couple of reminders and was decent.Good clean place for veg food in Madgaon.

Best North Indian food in Goa. Small but functional restaurant. Try their garlic naan, delicious and so garlicky. Reasonable on the pocket. All outlets are very conveniently located .

A very nice place for vegetarian food. Service is nice. Place is clean and decent. Lot of variety to choose from. One good thing is the packed meal which is good for working people. I have mentioned in one of my earlier reviews for another restaurant that I could be lured to fatality by Udupi food.<br/>It was a hot day yestsrday and I was near Navtara due to some work.<br/>I was in a little "grab a munch" mood. So I entered Navtara and ordered for a simple portion of Idli.<br/>Hands Down, it was the best I have had in a very long time<br/>The sambhar and chutney had the perfect sweet and spicey flavor.<br/>The service was prompt. The place is comfortable.<br/>Definitely a regular visit worthy place.

Hate to break the news but the prices are becoming to expensive here. There are better places which offer it at a reasonable rate. The Dosa itself the price has skyrocketed. First it was 50, then 70 and now 80. Which I feel is expensive. I would prefer some other veg restaurant. There is Kamat, Tatos and many more.

Nice food for Jain and vegetarian. Quantity is good in dish. Paratha,nan and panjabi jain curry is good. Service also fast and as per order but one thing I tell to him for spicy but they make sweet. Best option in south goa

The place to be if you wake up craving typical North Indian vegetarian food in Goa. The place is not fancy in any way and not very focused on ambience. The dishes are moderately priced so the meal is easy on the budget. Service is quick and efficient. Food tastes good enough to satisfy those taste buds.

This hotel offer really good food . If you are vegetarian plz must go to this place . They have chains of hotel in North Goa . The food quality is just amazing . Dal fry is really mouthwatering even the staters.

Well we went to this place in south goa and this was only restaurant open because we were late at 10 pm ,by this time most restaurants are closed in south goa .Service was ok. Food served was hot but took more than half hour .we ordered Punjabi sabji and both paneer sabji were good in taste though nothing extra ordinary. Best thing is it has plenty of branches in goa and hygiene is maintained well.But I would prefer navtara panjim ,it as they best

The most standard vegetarian fare. Like numerous Navtara outlets across Goa, even this one is pretty decent. An extra 0.5 points for hygiene and consistent food quality. (Apart from this one near the station, another Navtara is now open at KTC, on the outskirts of Margao)

I had high hopes entering this restaurant and thought I was about to enjoy a truly lip smacking meal (thali), after all I had heard and read a lot about this place but to my utter dismay it was a complete disaster, to make matters worse one of my favorite desserts (kheer) was tasteless and seemed stale... The only saving grace was the service and the ambience but as we all know it's the food that matters... So I am truly disappointed and won't be visiting again at least not for the thali....!

Very nice ambience. Good food for those who eat Punjabi and South indian in Gujarat. Nice food. Tasty and well balanced in spices. South Indian served with crispy and yummy taste. Punjabi also very nice.

An oasis for the souls fed up of the meat and booze culture of Goa. Just a run of the mill South Indian place, that too overpriced. Been here just once for a mid evening snack and was not too pleased.

Margao is a city buzzing with traffic every single day. There are only a few handful of pick out spots for eateries who have maintained their name over a period of time. One such is Navtara. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant. Unlike the udipi restaurants, the food here has different taste that keeps calling you back. They have lunch as well as dinner option. One of my favourites is mushroom chilly fry dosa. It is literally stuffed with mushrooms. I like the other variants too like paneer dosa, cheese etc. Mushroom xacuti is tasty too. I love the tea. Must try. <br/>There are parking issues there and that lane is the busiest. <br/>Overall a must try restaurant

Location : I'm new to goa so I can't xact location but it's just some 1kms hardly from madagaon railway station.. <br/><br/>The hotels Ambience is really decent enough to attract it's people here, which reflects on its hygiene and quality.. 👌👌👌<br/><br/>When I went on a Saturday night around 19hrs, I could see many local people visiting this place and this place has got really good number of branches all over goa which was shown on their menu card. <br/><br/>But my rating went down only because of its taste here, really it was not upto our ( me and my 6 friends) expectations 👎👎, I could not sense the taste and spiciness of the food.. 😢😕 <br/><br/>We ordered initially roti and hyderbadi kadai (this side dish was marked with red chilly in menu which indicates that the food will be spicy) but it was just opposite, I couldn't sense any spiciness which was the first disappointment for me.. <br/><br/>Then we ordered hyderbadi biriyani and dum biriyani which is just OK to say but cannot be appreciated 🍚🍛. <br/><br/>Kokum cooler and coffee was ordered at the end ☕☕☕☕ which was good to accept finally 👌👌. <br/><br/>When talking abt pricing 💰💲💳 it is acceptable at times for some menu, but very high for certain dishes like paying 50bucks for 2 vada.😈😈<br/><br/>Parking facilities is not a problem over here.. Decent vegetarian restaurant. Over the years I have tried variety of things from here,their dosa, mushroom baji, veg lollipop which I really like but it's very heavy so if you are ordering it dint order for anything else. They also hv nice watermelon juice. Their Chinese veg is also good.

Schezwan Masala Dosa!!!!This is what I have had the most here and still love it.A must try here I would say.Overall there is nothing in the menu which will disappoint you.One of the best South Indian restaurants.This name always reminds me of Navratna Hotel at Vashi in Navi Mumbai where I used to be a regular.

It is fast food restaurant but the way they handle customer is really pathetic. For any request they have only dialogue that management policy so this will happen this way only. It doesn't matter if you are regular customer.

After getting bugged of eating non veg we were in search of a pure authentic veg food and to our surprise we found this place in heart of margao.We visited this place twice and its was a good experience.We dont recommend thali as it was priced too much for what they served.Instead order north Indian food,the raita was very good quantitatively,the garlic naan and veg handi were equally good.So any one searching for good veg delight should visit Navtara.They have three more outlets.Service was prompt.GoodAmbience and cleanliness.It costed us around 400 bucks for two people.Overall recommended for vegetarians

This place serves decent South Indian food. Their dosas are good. My favourite is the schezwan dosa. Like their uttapam too. Their puri bhaji, Pav bhaji isn't as good as other veg restaurants. Their special thali to some extent is good. But the pulav they serve in that isn't that good. The quality of this place in recent days has gone down as compared to what it initially was. One of their outlets served stale potato sabji with the masala dosa. It was very disappointing.

For over 4 days of our stay in Goa last week, we had breakfast and dinner each day in Navtara, Margaon.<br/><br/>Loved the scrumptious breakfast served. Crisp Dosa, Tasty Upma and vadas.<br/><br/>Dinner was always pleasurable to eat here which I always paired it with awesome Fresh Lime soda (It's now become one of my favorite from Navtara).<br/><br/>Dal Khichdi was always great. Paneer way very good.<br/>Indian food that we had was no doubt very Good.<br/><br/>One minus point goes for the Triple Schezwan Rice. Its obviously spicy but not that very spicy as I ate here. Of all, this Chinese dish had tempering of Cloves and black pepper. First time saw Indian Tadka in Chinese which was not expected. Otherwise the taste was fine. Please revise its recipe.<br/><br/>Misconception of Triple Schezwan Rice that I heard here (when asked) is that since its 'Triple', the level of Spiciness is triple hence named as Triple Schezwan Rice.<br/><br/>but in actual its Rice, Noodles and Gravy hence the name, which is clearly mentioned in the menu card.<br/>Other Chinese menu was good.<br/><br/>The staff here is gud. <br/>Restaurant has Good Ambience. Neat and Clean.<br/><br/>Overall enjoyed the food at Navtara. <br/><br/>I would like to visit it again.

Decent south indian food.. The service was good. We also ordered sheera as it was in their special menu..however it failed to impress us. The filter coffee was amazing!

This place is the newest entrant in Margao in pure veg cuisine space. This restaurant is situated next to carmalite monastry in Aquem and has been in business in Margao for over two years. The ambience, the service and the food is good. Apart from the usual bhajis, dosas, chaats and uttappas, they offer some good sandwiches, pizzas and some gravy dishes. My favourites over here are Szechwan dosa, noodle dosa and navratan kurma.This is interesting alternative to other pure veg places. I have visited this place especially for their thali, as their portions are really good. Other places generally give chapati in their thali but this place gives tandoori Roti with their thali.

Terrible punjabi food. Took a long time to arrive. The spiciest sabji available was sweet, literally too sweet to eat. And it wasn't even that tasty sweet like navratna korma. The dal was weird, bland and the Portuguese potato soup was in no way fit for humans. Would rather have milk and a packet of parle g for dinner.
