Hellloooo,, The name changed to sagar express. I went with my friends for dinner. The food was super delicious, the environment is pleasant and peaceful and it is pocket friendly as well. You can visit here with your family, friends. We want to have rajasthani thali, but not able to have that because that is finished at approx 5:00pm so we had north thali and south thali, both were amazing😊😊

Booked a table for 10 people on my birthday. Ordered multiple plates of Masala dosas, Idlis and Vada sambhar. Everything tasted good as expected. Will highly recommend this restaurant for South Indian food. Everything is vegetarian. You can select anything from South Indian food, Chinese or North Indian food. Although South Indian food is recommended since this is a South Indian restaurant

The best for South Indian n vv good for even Punjabi food

First of all, it's now renamed as Sagar Express. Hence calling it Sagar Ratna is wrong. Food was good.

My go to for South Indian food! And they have great North Indian as well.

Wanted to try Navratra Thali here..Wasn't much impressed with Navratra Thali, neither the preparations nor the taste. Rather Navratra Dosa made out of kuttu Atta with potato paneer stuffing, served with coconut chutney, aloo sabzi and sweet dahi, was worth having.. There was Sabudana Vada and Adaraki Paneer Tikka also on the Navratra menu which we didn't opt for this time..

Sagar ratna is the best restaurant for the south indian as well as north indian food. After trying from various places, i can confidently say that this is the best place for online deliveries.

It was just Oky , everything was just Oky . The one in 34 sector Chandigarh is better . With taste , presentation and the sides as well . The chutney were not the same as that of 34 sector

I'm sure if we had objected, they would have asked us also to leave. We were the only two people left. Sagar Ratna is a name synonymous with South Indian cuisine in North India. It's extremely famous in Delhi and has expanded to other cities. It is now quite well known in the tricity too.<br/>The quality, however, does not seem to be at par with some major branches in Delhi, and this I've noticed with most Sagar ratnas opened as chains.<br/>The coffee seemed diluted.<br/>The idlis were really soft and nice, so this is a plus.<br/>Dosas seem less crispy and the sambar less spicy.<br/>Maybe I'll give it another visit, since i believe Sagar Ratna has the potential to be one of the best South Indian cuisine places in the tricity.

I was surprised to learn that even after 30 minutes, the order had still not been started to be prepared.<br/>However , we came across one huge rat among our feet, which we later learnt was a 'pet' rat.<br/>The outlet,I felt, is extremely understaffed and the staff which is there needs training.<br/>.<br/>This was one of my favourite places which I had visited after a long time. It was long back when Sagar Ratna was brilliant. I don’t know what’s going on, but the standards have gone down really bad. Very average food, nothing fancy. Overall a just fine experience.

ordered masala dosa today the Sambhar was so spicy i could not eat it.First time ordered it in home and disappointed why it is always tasty when i had it in the outlet.

Polite staff, fast service, good food. Tried there special Mysore dosa it was bit oily but good in Taste. It’s different from what we usually eat like masala dosa and tawa dosa. Overall good experience.

Often visit this place and order delicious Uttapam, Paper Dosa and Masala Dosa. It’s an authentic South Indian restaurant in Mohali. Staff is courteous too.

Rotten food...vomited after having first bite. No one picked up the call from restaurant. No bill provided by delivery boy. Worst food experience. Even delivery boy was not courteous enough to come up to the place.

I ordered south infian platter and filtered cold coffee. Really loved the filtered cold coffee here. In platter Dosa was great. Rasam was okish, idli and vadda were fresh and tasty, mini utapam was great. Overall nice experience

Loved their Rice idli and onion masala dosa. Sambar too was great. One of the great places in tricity for South Indian food. Will definitely check out other dosas as well.

Sagar ratna is a complete family restaurant with clean seating, decent prices and a variety of good flavourful food. I love everything here but i would special mention south indian dishes here especially dosa. Food here has some essence of homely food which is really appreciated. Whats better than this if we get home like food even being outside and far away from home and Mom♥️

Great food. It's been a long time time since I've ordered food from them. There was a time when Sagar Ratna was my go to place as it was the only good place to eat which was close to my work place, but nowadays thanks to the internet nothing is far from our reach. But 2 days ago this place just crossed through my mind and I thought why not order food from here just for the sake of old times. Guess what I got. Still the same yummy food, no unwanted spices, just the right amount of everything good required in there was there. Keep it up guys!!!<br/>Only thing I wish was reasonable prices, but guess good things do come with good prices😉😉

Well this brand is a giant if you compare it with other south indian eating places. Their dosas are really fresh and chutneys are a boon to the taste but one thing that i felt was needed is the size of dosa when ordered from home. It is less for a person who has a good appetite. Sambhar tastes different from others but it tasted different both times, that was strange. <br/>Overall quality wise its well above the quality others offer and the only place that can give it a competition is #Avinkarthik.

I went there with family and it was really very nice to be there. We ordered veg rava masala dosa, masala dosa and dahi vada. Every dish was prepared very well. My experience was amazing with this place. Thumbs up

packaging needs to improve

This is a very dingy outlet of Sagar Ratna. The tried and tested items of sagar ratna elsewhere also tasted bad here. Interiors are dark and dingy, smelly and not very well kept and clean. I never visited this sagar ratna again.

We ordered Veg. Rava Masala Dosa, Masala Dosa and Dahi Vada. The Dosa's were super yummy and so was the Dahi Vada. Sambhar and Coconut chutney are Nice. Sagar ratna always comes to priority for south Indian food. Everything was good in taste and fairly priced.

DO NOT GET DOSA HOME DELIVERED! dosas arrived soggy and badly wrapped in tin foil. Not to mention the wrong order was delivered. I had ordered plain dosas but they sent me masala dosas.

When you think about a place like Sagar Ratna or Shree Ratnam the only thing you want to have is good South Indian food in fine dining experience. Alas this outlet nothing better than a dhaba experience they serve more of the paneer makhni and Choley bhaturey than idlis served all together. These guys have changed the concept entirely. Please rethink if you’re thinking about fine dining South Indian restaurant better go to a five star than this place.

I've been visiting this place ever since I was a young kid. Sagar Ratna is famous for its South Indian cuisine but also serves Indian and Chinese. Food quality over the years has deteriorated, but the feel of the restaurant is still the same.

A very nice place.I was itching for a good south Indian food restaurant to open near my locality. That happened with Sagar Ratna's opening .Great dosas,idlis.But for me their Amritsari kulcha,chole bhatura take the cake.Deeeeeleeeecious !!Um Mm.

We are purchase veg manchurian the taste is very cheap and third class variety of product the manchurian balls very hard the raw material added in your manchurian we are throwing in garbage i am very disappointed to this.

Very good South Indian preparations. The Dahi Vada is a must try here. The North Indian dishes are good too but I like to eat south Indian food here.

Properly packed, consistent in taste, enough serving of sambhar and chutneys. Sagar Ratna has maintained its position as the standard go to place to eat generic south indian vegetarian food. It may not compare to speciality south indian fine-dine restaurants, but you would always see customers at a Sagar Ratna joint.

Good place for main courses in South Indian as well as North Indian. They have a handsome customization to the dosas. Also, their North Indian combos are good. One can go for those mini meals when South Indian seems little light.

One place that comes to your mind when you think of having authentic South Indian food. You just can't ignore their Mysore Plain Dosa. They provide nice of option of South Indian and North Indian dishes.
