I had an amazing dine in experience at this restaurant. Ambience is so welcoming and refreshing. Food served is at next level with the quality and taste. Hotel staff suggested some good delicious items. Deserts served at last made my meal complete, which were amazing. Service was good as expected. I would rate overall at 4.5 out of 5 in all aspects at the hotel.

was an amazing experience all together as we saw many cuisine of rural India around a platter. The best part was that we saw there was so many vegetarian varieties that we really enjoyed the whole experience they had put up. The vibe was amazing . As Chinese is my go to cuisine whenever I am opting for street food I really enjoyed the Chinese cart with all the Paneer chilli and rice which was served was really amazing. The best part was the desert counter and I tell you you would have never seen such a desert cart in any buffet in any hotel of the city have to term it as the best desert cart or the desert counter ever if you are going to this festival please do not miss out on the desert part I personally I am not a sweet tooth what it was so delicious and craving me to another level that I tried maximum number of sweets. Would recommend everyone of you add if you are looking for an premium experience with an amazing vibe and the perfect ambience for your dinner please do visit Sahara Star for this amazing experience

Went here few weeks back with my man to enjoy some fancy dinner. Visiting Sahara Star has been on my list since ages & I finally got a chance to visit. Obviously, the interiors are just amazeballs! One would like to revisit again and again. Went to The Earth Plate, one of the restaurants they have.
Absolutely loved their service. Really attentive staffs & have really good knowledge about their menu. Good suggestion on food & beverages as well. So, what I had :

* BEVERAGES

• Paan Tini (3/5): I'm not really of Paan flavour, but tastewise, obviously it was good. It had that typical pan flavour & sweet.

• Kairi Mary (4/5): Same concept like Guava Mary! It had a Kacchi Kairi (Raw Mango) kinda flavour. Was sweet & sour as well. A must try!

P.S They didn't have a name for this drink, so I have suggested the same. Hope y'all like it!

• Orange Colada (5/5): I actually forgot the name of this drink but it tasted good. It was on a sweeter side but really loved this drink! A must try.

* FOOD

• Cream Of Mushroom Soup (5/5): I love mushrooms! I had to try this one because it's one of my favourite soup. It was so comforting and warm. I absolutely loved this one and I definitely suggest y'all to have it.

• Poutine Fries (5/5): Classic fries with cheese sauce and sauteed mushrooms in it. Really a good dish to start with.

• Mezzeh (3/5): This one had classic hummus, babaganouj, warak inab, tabouleh & labneh. It was a good mezze platter. Really liked the pita breads which was an accompaniment and was nicely warm.

• Nasi Goreng (4/5): This is a very filling dish y'all! It was topped with fried egg & accompanied with chicken satay & prawn crackers. It had a decent taste. Was damn full after having this.

Can't believe we couldn't have a dessert because we were so so full after having so much! All worth it though.
I am definitely visiting again. Also to try out Sahara Star's other restaurants.
Sujata
Opted for the dinner buffet, and was honestly disappointed with the spread. The ambience and service is average. The place might look huge and the buffet is sprawled across, but not much variety to offer. The Margherita pizza and sushi were great though.

So, not worth the price for me, would not visit again.

We were back at Sahara Star for its most awaited Cultures of Mumbai Season 3, where we went on a costal culinary journey of the Koli's curated by the sweetest Mrs. Harsha Tapke.

Mrs. Tapke started Koli Food festival in Versova in 2005 and it has been a star festival since then. This year we missed on the festival in Versova but Sahara Star made sure we didn't miss it totally. Here are some glimpses of the delicious food that we tried.

This scrumptious spread witnessed a wide range of seafood like Oysters, Tiger Prawns, Pomfrets, Crabs, Lobsters, Mackerel, Threadfin etc along with Rice Bhakri, Steamed Rice and Dessert.

The food was absolutely lipsmacking delicious and had that authentic Koli taste..

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy. We were in for a wedding, and I felt I needed to rest during the day. Sent the guys, . It was wonderful to kick back, watch old westerns on the great tv, while relaxing in the incredibly comfortable bed. The housekeeper was so pleasant, and the room service was incredible. Ordered a quesadilla and loved every mouth full. the food came hot and delicious. It was a great day, and I was ready to enjoy the wedding. we enjoyed on the balcony. Wonderful! We will be back for sure! Thanks so much for making our stay so special!

Overhyped, overpriced.. that's what I would call it.Maybe I expected a lot from the buffet. Starters were okish. Aachari murgh Tikka was the only interesting dish with a nice dip.

As a side order we called for white sauce pasta and chicken Tikka pizza. The pasta was so blahhh!! Literally Tasteless!!

With regards to service had asked them to provide with chilly oil , which never came on the table even after asking for the second time. No one even bothered to say that they don't have.
Also when we called for the lachha paratha at the time of main course dono why they took so much time.

Main course was highly disappointing. The Banjara mutton was raw , chicken biiryani had a lot of kewda essence and the worst of all was the ambade ka murgh ,like the gravy was pathetic I dono wht were they actually trying to make . I literally couldn't eat a single bite. And had to keep my plate aside.

The only good part of the buffet was the dessert spread which had a mouthful of Indian sweets and some delicious pastries.

I was really looking forward for this buffet but as they say
Big things look good from the outside but are worthless inside..

We were at Sahara star for the Koli seafood festival just yesterday. Full disclosure - the husband is a mad mad fan of seafood and loves anything and everything to do with the sea and it’s creatures so this one was a great opportunity for us to explore some fresh and delicious seafood. They’d set up a separate stall just for the seafood festival which was additional to the normal buffet spread that is always there. The place was decked up with nets and Koli style baskets and the total display was really great. The staff was also dressed up in Koli style hats and the Koli style saree. They had collaborated with Bombay stare fisheries for the Koli food which puts up its stalls at the Versova seafood festival. The seafood at display was crabs, kingfish, prawns, pomfret, mackerel which was freshly sourced and cooked right in front of you and served. The live grill was a real hit with extremely fresh produce that shone with its taste. The starters in Koli style were the typical Koli style fried chicken which was a light batter that was spiced up and really succulent. They also served a Tandoori ghol which is a really meaty fish and is perfect for people like me who have issues with all the bones. The veg starters had the potato Bhaji and a veg cutlet. They also had the quintessential bombil chutney made of dry mackerels which was just great. For the mains there was the mutton curry with extremely succulent mutton chunks that were to die for. The Koli toor Dal was slightly sweet and lovely. The tuna biryani was hearty. For the vegetarians they had lady fingers. The prawns with shengat phalli was cocunutty and delicious. The crab which was a dry masala style was fresh and a great catch. The bamboo mackerels were heady and delicious. In the desserts they had a sweetened rice with saffron. They also had banana stuffed with coconut and jaggery and my favourite - the Gharvya. A sweetened dough with a light stuffing that was lovely. Along with this they also had the usual buffet on display with a large variety of salads, fruits, starters, main course - both veg and non veg and also some delectable desserts. They make their desserts in-house including the Indian sweets. Had a lovely time with the great food and the brilliant hospitality by the people from connoisseur hospitality as well as Bombay State fisheries who organised the pop up. Will definitely recommend this.

The earth plate is located at the Sahara star hotel and they keep hosting different food festivals occasionally. I went here to devour some Kohli food in their koi li food festival. It’s active till 13th feb and hence even you can visit there to enjoy lipsmacking sea food and traditional delectable Kohli cuisine. You’ll love the ambience here and everything was prepped up with even the staff dressed up in traditional Kohli attire. Loved their sukha bombil bhaji, it’s chutney, live sea food counter where you can order your choice of fish and prawns to be cooked and even the spread of the traditional gravies was awesome. You just have to go there to try all those varieties in sea food you didn’t even knew till now. And yes, plus marks for the usual lavish buffet and their prompt service and courteous
staff!

✳️The Earth Plate is a fine-dine restaurant at the well renowned Sahara Star situated in the heart of the suburban area in Mumbai. Located close to the domestic airport makes it a prime place to visit for many tourists as well as the locals.

✳️The appetisers were an assortment of fish and chicken. We tried their chicken shorba soup which is a must have for anyone out there suffering from cold

✳️The main course was a lavish spread of the Christmas buffet! Guys as a Zomato Gold member I can pick any drink and get the same price or lesser for free but one of your floor shift manager declined it

I did not argue as I got what I wanted however this is unfair trade practice that you are following

Not upto the mark as according to 5* deluxe standards .staff rude and unwelcoming. No safety standards plates jus stacked with dust already informed them hope they improve on entering the glass door of lift cracks risking my children and elderly members of family injury... and on leaving the place their manager Mr Sanjay acts like...

The food was good , not worth the price, especially the toastie with just cucumber and tomato for 850 plus tax it's too much. The staff has no friendly smile , all of them were either lost or they need power nap.. super upset. With the price we pay for such 5 star hotels a customer has some expectation..

Coorg Food Festival
The Earth Plate is a fine dining restaurant which offers buffet for Italian, Mediterranean, French and Mexican cuisine.

The restaurant is currently hosting the coorg festival until the midnight of 7th December.

As soon as we reached, we were generously welcomed by the staff and I better not talk about the service as it's always top notch here at sahara star.

The starters for the coorg festival included two vegetarian items and three non vegetarian items.

Veg starters were basale bonda and goli bhaji which were some scrumptious fritters.

Non-vegetarian starters included sambara koon which was mutton, koli nalli mallu bhartard which was chicken and nend barthad which were crab legs.

All these starters tasted so different from what we have all the time and damn scrumptious too that I didn't even try their starters from the regular buffet.

There was a lot of variety in main course as well. I was so full with the starters that I feel guilty that I couldn't try much of their main course.

My personal favorites from the spread were the chicken pulao and pandi curry with akki roti.

The dessert section was no exception to the variety. It was one of the biggest dessert sections I've seen. I don't remember the names of even half of the total items.

The ones that I remember are pista katli, tiranga kulfi, pineapple pastry, carrot cake, coconut semolina cake, pineapple butter blonde, pistachio cake, mocha panacotta, mango raspberry roulande, gur sandhesh, chocolate cheesecake and the list goes on and on..

My personal favorites dessert was the chocolate berry pudding. This was hands down the best chocolate pudding I've ever had. This is a must try if you ever visit this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The spread for the coorg festival is huge plus their regular buffet is also offered alongside which makes this a steal deal.

I recently visited The Earth Plate to experience their Coorg Food Festival. Being a huge fan of lesser known regional cuisines of India, I was looking forward to how Coorg food might wow my taste buds. I must say that I was impressed by how well curated the entire menu was, by Chef Debraj of Club Mahindra and his team of professional chefs.

The limited time curated menu of Earth Plate comprises of ample options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. From Khajaya to Pandi (Pork) Curry to Meen Bhartad, there's something for everyone.

I personally would recommend the Pandi Curry, which is a quintessential food from the Coorg region. It was lipsmacking, to say the least! Another absolutely delightful offering on the menu is their Crab Curry made with local Coorgi spices. Vegetarians should not miss out on the chef's rendition of the classic Khajaya.

Coffee Mousse, made with ground coffee of the local plantations was a sheer delight to my senses. Extremely light and airy, the taste of that mousse is still lingering in my memory.

Do catch the Coorg Food Festival which is going on at The Earth Plate, Sahara Star till 7th of December, 2019. You will surely love it as much as I did.

I was here for the auspicious occasion of Bohri Festival which was held from 11th Oct to 24th Oct. The festival celebrates the delicious variants and delectable Bohri cuisine, elaborating on the traditional way of dining in a typical Bohri household.
I was glad to be a part of this special Bohri dinner and loved the way every dish is relished here.
All the specials were displayed on the buffet, which can be relished separately, or they also served mini thaali which included a portion of every dish.
So we decided to go for the amazing Bohri Thaali. As per tradition, we first start with a pinch of salt and then a pinch of sweetened rice. Then we start with desserts, which included Pao Halwa which was the best and my favourite. There was Sheer Korma too and other variants of desserts.
Then we moved on to the starters which were Kheema Samosa and Dal Samosa. Chicken cutlet too was very good. The Raan specially was the most amazing one on the thaali. How the flesh just slipped off the bone!!! Simply yum!!!
There was Bheja fry and Kaleji too which were delicious. Also included Kheema, Mutton Kaari which is a curried mutton, and Dal Palida a bohri specialty.
All the dishes were cooked and prepared spot on. Last but not the least, the Biryani was outta the world. Mixed with lot of spices and bagged with flavours it was simply delicious and delightful.
A big thanks to Tahiri Delights for making our dinner a special and memorable one!!!

The Earth Plate – If you wish to enjoy a lavish food and desserts spread then look no further as this place is serving that with flair. The place is a fine dine buffet place which costs 3000 pp without tax and alcohol and around 3500 without tax but with alcohol if I recollect it well. Seems initially like a lot for a buffet but make no mistake if you have gut to take it all down then its surely worth every penny.

I recently went there to experience their new theme of festivals under “Cultures of Mumbai” where they are currently running “Bohri Festival” from 11th October 2019 to 24th October 2019. Chef Alifya & Chef Aziz Amrelliwala have curated one lipsmacking bohri delicacies that tantalizes your taste buds. Bohr Chicken Cutlet, Bohra White Mutton, Daal Ka Samosa, Daba Gosht & Khichada, are some of the dishes which will be a part of the menu to

To tell a brief on their menu their bohri menu consisted of Bohri Chicken Cutlet, Bohra White Mutton, Daal Ka Samosa, Daba Gosht, Bohri style chicken biryani, Khichada & many more. In general it was a complete feast as each item was cooked really well, Kudos to chefs.

One of the delicious dish on their live counters were Harrisa chicken wings and I enjoyed them the most apart from its bohri menu as the charred wings were so well marinade in our harissa masala, it was first of a kind wings.

Some of the bite sized dishes included purple potato bites with balsamic caviar, marinated quinoa and red cabbage feta sald with micro greens, artichoke and collar roulade with mango chilli sauce and thai marinated silken spoon tofu with chilli spheres. I had something like these for the first time so I felt some hits and misses to be honest.

Desserts were heaven in one line. So they had plethora of options like Malai Khaja, Sheer Koorma, Dudhi Halwa, Kesar Phirni, Pav Nu Halwo and Bohri Kopra Pak. Apart from Malai Khaja which were outsourced, rest other items were made in hotel and each held its distinct yet authentic flavors. Fav was Dudhi halwa, Pav nu Halwo and Malai khaja, it’s a must haves!!! U definitely need to keep stomach half empty to relish each of them.

Words are less to express how wonderful the experience Sahara Star provides as they serve each and everyone with their smiling faces and take the smallest care of one’s needs and you feel truly pampered on such occasions with their sheer attentiveness. In all, I highly recommend if someone looks to experience food extravaganza and hence I rate the place a 5.

I happened to visit The Earth Plate for a Bohri Food Festival which is currently on till 24th Oct. This exclusive fine dine is located within Hotel Sahara Star.
The soft music feels very soothing and the staff here are very promt with the service.
So this Bohri Food Festival was organized in association with the Taheri Delights, the menu being curated by Chef Alifya and Chef Aziz Amrelliwala, takes you on to experience culinary delight of traditional Bohri food.
So on the spread there were lot of options to try from, I was definitely spoilt for the choices.
I almost tried everything thing from the spread.

The mutton samosa, Daal ka Samosa, Seekh kebab and more to start on a light note.

Then from the live preparation, they got the delicious raan and liver tawa masala.

Among the mains, do try their Dal Khichdi with Mutton Khurdi, low on spicemeter this combination is an amazing treat to the palate.

Baby potatoes with the kokum chutney is another impressive combination from the special kitchen.
Also you would not want to miss their Malai Murg Tikka Biryani for it being so aromatic and flavourful at the same time.

Finishing off we come to the desserts....now the Gajar halwa, Sheer Kurma, Pav Halwa, coconut Barfi and lot more to try from. Tried every desserts and I must say the Pav Halwa and coconut Barfi stands out well.

Overall, a lovely dining experience with this special menu. Thank you team The Earth Plate for amazing dining experience.

A perfect place for a lavish meal time with family and friends. The restaurant is amazing and the ambience is attractive too. Even the staff is well trained and courteous. We went there to enjoy their Bohri food fest which was a huge and scrumptious spread of traditional Bohri food prepared well by Alifia and Aziz from Taheri delights. The food was mind blowing and along with it there were also other Chinese, Indian and continental cuisine served really Well. Even the desert section was to the point and perfect. An awesome place to enjoy a lavish spread of relishing delights

I am glad i chose this place, it was for my wifes bday. I had booked through nearbuy . There was some confusion one of their staff had deleted the reservation but the manager apologized promptly. The staff is grt and courteous. The chef suggested few dishes and customized a white souce pasta for us. The spread is very good, grill fish live counter, veg amritsari live counter were some of the highlight. Food is delicious. The spread is more on the indian side. Loved the food, staff and ambiance, despite the booking confusion i ll still go for 5*. Much recommended.

My first dinner at this place for their parsi pop up and I loved it. The place is already so beautiful and the friendly staff makes your experience amazing. The parsi pop up consisted of few veg and few non veg dishes followed by tons of parsi desserts. The spread had a very authentic taste and was amazing. Their regular buffet spread alongside the spread was lavish. U r totally spoilt with choices starting from the salad counter to everything. Just tasting each dish from start to end will stuff u up. Absolutely loved their small plates which were bite sized and so creative on flavors. I'm not a big fan of 5 star food since I feel it lacks the taste but somehow i loved the food here and especially their pastas. The indian food i didnt even try since I needed room for their never ending dessert counter. The desserts were absolutely smashing. A perfect place for those special dinners.

This all-day dining restaurant in Sahara Star hotel serves great buffet spreads all day long. They also have an extensive A la carte menu with options from Italian, Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican and French cuisine. Apart from the regular spread, every month they celebrate a different cuisine, so you will always find a seperate pop up representing dishes of that cuisine. For the month of september they will be hosting a Bohri food festival, featuring a seperate pop up with bohri specialities. The restaurant staff is very helpful and attentive. A special thanks to Mr. Resham for his hospitality and overall support.

The ambience is beautiful and seatings are comfortable. In the middle of the restaurant, there is an open kitchen that gives a great view of their chefs working hard with great focus on hygiene. Its a total delight to watch them cook and also gives an added assurance of thier hygiene standards.

Coming to food, the buffet spread is huge, which can literally spoil you for choice. I tried their breakfast as well as dinner spread and both were great. There are seperate sections for vegeterian and non vegeterian dishes. The cold platter is great with freshly cut meat, canapes and colorful fruits to choose from. The live counters are an added attraction, offering great range of dosa's and eggs for breakfast while pastas, pizzas and grill meats are served during dinner. The dessert section is to die for, with a minimum of 20 different options to choose from. My personal favourite was the chocolate pudding, malpua with rabdi, barfi, chocolate pastry, and brownies. There is a seperate ice cream section too, with unique flavors and toppings on offer.

One can relax and enjoy a hearty meal here.

Chef tried making food to our dietary requirements but failed in some dishes miserable.sweet and sour memories .... scope for improvement definitely with guests with dietary restrictions. Following day the Chef Sangram....did a marvelous job and turned the experience in a long lasting one...he mentioned it was too last minute for him to make the order with our dietary restrictions.... thanks for understanding and taking good care of us. All the best

I honestly think Earth has lost a potential customer for good. We were thinking of going for midnight buffet tonight and turns out when we called the lady executive was readily happy to take our reservation having mentioned that it is for midnight buffet that starts at Tuesday 12:30am to 3:30am. A little later when we mentioned we had nearby vouchers with us for the buffet, she blatantly denied that the buffet even exists and told us something that we didn’t remotely understand which was that the buffet was for Tuesday night which would ideally be Wednesday morning. This lady (my bad I don’t know her name) but she takes the restaurant reservations, didn’t quite understand or maybe did not want to extend any help. Anywho, this was the deal breaker for me- don’t want to visit a restaurant that doesn’t want to feed its customers.

We were at Earth Plate for their Parsi festival. The regular buffet had an additional Parsi counter with options in Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian. Paris Cuisine being predominantly non vegetarian it was nice to see options for vegetarians as well.

The regular menu at Earth Plate is always good. The spread from the started to the main course and desserts is huge and really spoils one for choices.

Always been of a fan of the buffet here and the added Parsi dishes were just like the icing on the cake.

One of the better buffets in town with a super warm and friendly service team.
It was time to visit Sahara Star for the grand Parsi Food festival at The Earth Plate.

The Earth Plate hosts various food festivals from time to time to celebrate cuisines from all across the world. But this time it was super special. It was the Parsi Food Festival from 16th August to 31st August. It was renowned Chef Firdoz who curated the daily lunch and dinner special menus. All recipes were passed down from generations.

Apart from the special menu the regular buffet offers diners salads, soups, cold cuts, sushi, a live chaat station and pasta and pizza on your table.

However we were very excited to try the Parsi Cuisine and array of delectable dishes put together by Chef Firdoz.

Starters ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They had 3 staple choices but a must in any Parsi cuisine and all these were delectable and a must have!

Gosht Nu Kabab - A mutton mince spicy kebab

Chicken Soti Boti - A delectable preparation of chicken kebab.

Kolmi na kebab - This was my favorite. The use of tiny shrimps brought out beautiful flavor in the kebabs.
And there were veg parsi starters too. Parsi style batata vadas patrel etc

Main Course dishes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There was a large variety of vegetarian options. But best of all Parsi are known to be meat lovers. Every dish was spot on in flavor, seasoning and taste. We had saas ni machchi, kolmi no patio, salli margi and dahi nu gosht.
You cannot afford to miss to savour dandaar with kolmi no patio if you are a true fan of Parsi food.

Live Station ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There was a separate live egg station cooking practically everything on eggs. As parsis love there eggs in every way and in every meal. Eggs on salli, bhindi, chicken, kheema or even the Akuri was set up to try.
We tried the kheema per eedu and it was very delicious. Tangy spicy well cooked mince topped with a fried egg.

Desserts ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There was a separate section for only Parsi desserts. Could not miss the lagan nu Custard, boi mawa sweetfish, dal no pori and other sweet meats.

Another large section consisting of sugar free and indulgent desserts of every kind. I enjoyed the sugar free brownie and hot walnut pudding. The baked cheesecake also went beautifully and melted away on my palate.

Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Earth Plate service is top notch. Servers very attentive to clear plates, fill water glasses and provide cutlery.
It was indeed a beautiful experience with family especially my darling nephew who enjoyed the bread maska like a true bawaji. And I totally agree with the Parsi Saying - Khavanu Peevani Majjani life.

Thank You Sahara Star for your kind hospitality.

The Earth Plate is one of the many plush restaurants operating in the vicinity of Sahara Star and a jewel of a place to be visited to experience the same.

Located in the sub-basement level, they operate 24/7 and primarily offers Buffet services (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner / Midnight Buffet & Sunday Brunches).

The Earth Plate also specializes in hosting food festivals to celebrate cuisines from all across our country and currently they are hosting The Parsi Food Festival from 16th August to 31st August.

We visited on a Sunday during this festival and experienced their tribute towards Parsi Cuisine which always is a favorite of mine.

Coming to authenticity; they have invited renowned Chef Firdoz to oversee the entire festival to ensure all the famous Parsi delicacies are on point as per tradition.

They also have the regular buffet offerings for people who want to branch out of the Parsi cuisine and want to savor some Salads, Cold cuts, Sushi, Fresh cut veggies & Cheese slabs for tasting.

A brief description of the Parsi festival but on the Non Vegetarian section only as we savored those!

In Appetizers; they had 3 staple choices but a must in any Parsi cuisine and all these were delectable and a must have!

- Gosht Nu Kabab
- Chicken Soti Boti
- Kalmi Na Kebab

A special mention to Chicken Soti Boti & Gosht Nu Kabab as I enjoyed these 2 the most.

In Mains; we had the best of all meat options; Soft Curry Fish to King sized Prawns to Spicy Chicken curry to Well marinated Mutton in curd!

- Saas Ni Machi
- Prawns Patio
- Sali Margi
- Dahi Nu Gosht

You cannot afford to miss Saas Ni Machi and ensure you eat your hearts content as this was the best among the lot (Went perfectly with Rice), did love the Prawns as they were flavored well in red spices and of decent size. Mutton pieces were melt in mouth kind because of the overnight margination in Curd.

In Desserts; A separate section only showcasing Parsi sweets and another large section of dessert consisting of Indian & Western dessert to an Ice-cream counter. A true Sweet Sinful offering!!!

- Lagan Nu Custard
- Berry Baked Cheesecake
- Rasmalai
- Cookies & Cream Ice-cream
- Red Velvet Slice
- Coffee flavored pudding

The above listed were savored and truly relished.

Our dining experience was made truly memorable & warm by Mr. Aasim Abbas who took care of all our needs and was a wonderful host.

The Earth Plate hosts such festivals honoring various cuisines every couple of months and I am eagerly waiting to dine with them soon.

Sahara star is one of my favorite hotels in Mumbai and all the restaurants within this hotel are just too beautiful for words. Have been to almost all and this time I had the privilege to visit The Earth Plate which is a buffet restaurant. This month they are celebrating the Parsi food Festival right upto 31st August and I must say it's a treat for all food lovers. Parsi food has always been popular among non veg lovers and this well curated menu by chef firdaus caters not just to non vegetarians but to vegetarians as well. We managed to have a word with him and he has come up with the authentic parsi starters mains as well as desserts for all to try.

So we could see the interesting menu like the tadeli macchi, the dhansak & berry pulao as well as the homestyle chicken made with onion gravy and spices. The fried prawns, fish cutlets and mutton chops were looking good too. Me being a vegetarian stuck to the veg side of the menu. There was a veg dhansak, some mixed vegetables in curry, berry pulao and some gavar ni ni subzi. We could also try some eggs as we do eat eggs and as they say that parsis love their eggs so we could not resist trying them. They also had veg appetizers like paneer pakoda, Khaman dhokla and patra. Not to miss the lovely desserts like lagan nu custard, sweet dahi with sevaiya and many more. Everyday they have a new menu and the food options vary. And I'm sure there is so much to try in this cuisine that one could visit at least 2-3 times during this fest to relish more and more dishes.

Besides the parsi food, they do have the regular buffet too which includes the north Indian, Mexican, Italian, pan Asian and much much more. One can get spoilt for choice. They just have the most humungous spread in desserts here. Right from ice creams, rasmalai, kalakand, pastries, chocolate balls to rabdi jalebi ghevar and many such tempting varieties.

A special thanks here to Mr.Resham singh for attending our table so well and suggesting us the various dishes as must try. The entire team is wonderful and I can easily say that this place is one of the most breathtaking places to enjoy the most romantic meals. Do visit this week if u can to partake in the parsi food Festival.

As we all know that Earth Plate at Sahara Star Hotel always comes up with various other food festivals.
And this time what could’ve been more then a PARSI FOOD FESTIVAL 😍.

Anyways in Mumbai we don’t have a lot to try out in Paris cuisine, but for sure Earth Plate has nailed the Parsi good food as well.

The restaurant never disappoints us even when we visit here for its regular buffet and the Parsi food festival was an addition to the regular buffet.

Enjoyed the delicious and finest Parsi delicacies.
Even for vegetarians it’s a lot to try.

Kind of fallen in love with the Parsi Culture now.

Would really recommend each one of you to try out the authenticity of Parsi cuisine here.

The Cultures of Mumbai festival highlighting the Parsi food is continued till 31st of Aug so do give a try to this exclusive menu curated by one of the best chefs in town!

The buffet is worth every penny.

Had been to this place for dinner and the ambiance is simply beautiful. You just feel that you are in another world. The Earth Plate is a 24hr restaurant serving buffet as well as al-a-carte. We went in for the buffet and we were really satisfied with food, service, the spread everything my
The appetizers were live Amritsari counter which had fish, chicken and lamb. Marinated in Amritsari masala served with mint chutney. For vegetarian there were tacos, wraps tolls, pizza's and pastas. Great taste.
The buffet spread was great wish I could try everything but my tummy didn't permit. 😔
Overall a must place to visit with family.

Heard a lot about this place from my friends, after going through the reviews on zomato,I decided to try its midnight buffet on the occasion of raksha bandan.
The Earth Plate is one of the restaurants in Sahara Star which I wanted to visit a long time back.

As soon as we reached the place we were warmly welcomed by Resham singh,a table was assigned to us. Ambience was outsatnding, environment was so peaceful and relaxing. Just they need to work on a quick staff service. At first the service was slow later on it was easily managed. They have a huge variety in salads which were fresh and healthy. Starters were good ,at first we were severed with cold starters felt a bit disappointed,we requested them to severe us with the hot starters and we were pleased by their service.Main course consisted of Chinese as well as indian cuisines. There were plenty of varieties in desserts which was delicious...The staff is well managed and organized.

Special thanks to Resham Singh for his wonderful hospitality, he was very attentive towards all of his guests and was totally pleased by his service. Thanks to oscar as well for his service.

Definitely a must try place to visit and would surely recommend to others as well.

Went for lunch buffet. Variety of options in salads, main course and desserts. Everything was yummy. However since they had beef also in the menu, they should have a sign for it as many Indians don't eat beef. My mother almost ate it and after that she felt very unpleasant. But other than that superb time and the staff is very polite and helpful. Will try their breakfast buffet soon.

Its not nice. Very ordinary food. Quality also average. Service was okay. Definitely not five star standard, more like Club or Kamats standard.

Had booked a room for a day, came here for breakfast. It is utterly disappointing for a 5 star. There is variety, but you will have to repeatedly remind the staff to either refill the counters, or to get stuff to your table. The jw Marriott breakfast is way better, and is in vicinity.

The Earth plate which is one of the restaurant in Sahara Star was on my wishlist from long time. Heard a lot about this place from friends which gave mic reviews but after reading many reviews on zomato I decided to try its midnight buffet on my birthday along with my family. As soon as we reached this place a table was assigned to us and after being seated for sometime there was no one to assist us not even with glass of water. i had to tell the staff twice then the water was served. After asking we came to know the buffet was started and aftering being told the starter would come on the table but at the end we had to take it ourself. Was very disappointed with the service that was not expected at such an elite place. Coming to the food that was very ordinary in terms of taste. The paneer starter was a disaster in taste very tasteless. Even the veg. pizza and penne pasta that was not cooked well was ok too in terms of taste. Only liked its mocktail berry blast that was refreshing and papdi chaat which was good in taste rest everything was just ok. At the end it was an very ordinary experience with respect to food and service.

A perfect ambience for having a meal with ur loved ones. Cozy environment and soft lighting wins brownie points.
Buffet spread was humongous. Half side of the big hall comprises of sitting arrangement and the other half is filled with the spread.
Starters, main course and desserts were equally good. Baskin n Robbins ice cream was served and around 7-8 flavours were available.
So overall I loved the experience and i will definitely visit again!!
FoodieHooman
I had the worst experience of Sahara Star during my visit. Yes the place is magnificent and offers a five star buffet menu but the management and food quality is miserable. After Paying a hefty sum for a luxurious candlelight dinner with a reservation I was asked to sit to wait for 10mins and still offered a table of no view or Comfortability. The waiter offered us tasteless Starters and cold Pizza ..we did complain but the staff was too busy to cater to our request eventually we planned to explore the delicacies they offer but were too disappointed to the core. None of the dishestasted good I mean literally we couldn't eat a piece of anything and the desserts ruined it more.. the only thing that was edible were the Ice creams. So if u wanna pay more than 8k for an Ice cream with a view surely visit the Earth Plate

An exprience to remember for life, when I look back to relive that memorable evening it amazes me how each and every staff of Sahara Star - The Earthplate made that day an experience of a lifetime for me and my parents, my parents actually had emotional tears and thanked me for that amazing evening.... it was my parents wedding anniversary and we wanted to make it really special for them, The Earthplate had a Bengali food festival buffet so I booked a table for the evening informing I would need a cake to celebrate my parents anniversary, the restaurant staff went out of their way to make it extraordinary for us, we received a warm welcome, a decorated table, each staff came and wished my parents, it was unbelievable, I can't stop talking about the buffet that offered Bengali cuisine as well as different international cuisines, awesome food taste, perfect blend of flavours, it's quality, options in the buffet all was experience par excellence, not only were the staff interactive but even the chef kept engaging in conversations and recommending live counter food options, adding to the glamour is it's the larger than life ambience, it's gorgeous, you have to see it to believe it... Every detail reflects the culture and value embedded in the employees of the hotel, only a happy employee can bring happiness to its customers and that was definitely reflecting in their service and mannerisms... The staff who served us definitely deserve an applause and recognition for best in class customer service, Resturant Manager Saurabh, Jeetendra, Vivek, Dipesh, and Ankita, she was the reason why I ever got to know about the on going food festival... Kudos to the entire team...this place would definitely be my first choice when I plan to dine out with my family... Highly Recommended

After reading so many good reviews , visited this place for Sunday brunch.

First of all they are very bad in hospitality. No one is there to manage the things properly. Firstly they gave table which is not properly balanced. After requesting they changed.

No one is there to inform about the menu. Most of the things for vegetarians are not served in hot condition.
For what you are charging ? Hope you are good in hospitality but disappointed.
Rajasthani food not at all hot..... Chinese is pathetic. In live counters nothing is mentioned .

They serve the cuisines in a very bad way?
Who guides you this way ?

At least you have to mention something .....

I ordered 2-3 things from live counters but till I completed my brunch no one will come to deliver on my table.

They have staff but what I observed is most of them busy in chit chat, no customer care

Want to talk to your management ?
Hope some one in management.
Earth is located at Sahara star In the lower ground floor . The place is beautiful and everyone should visit this place once in a life. Earth is hosting Bengali Food Festival till 2nd June . .
The menu is specially curated by Chef Prosenjit Ghosh.
.
#BengaliPopUpFestival have a wide spread of amazing delicacies like Cham cham , Aloo posto , Sandesh , Rasgulla , Malai Chingri , etc.
.

The buffet has a dedicated section for #Bengalifood . Along with Bengali food they've varieties of veg , non veg and desserts section.
.
I really loved thei malai Chingri and ofcourse every Bengali dessert. Biryani was little spicy but raita balanced the flavours.
.
Their other dishes are also delicious. So if you're a Bengali food lover then you should visit this place as soon as possible.
The buffet spread was terrible. Have been to Similar places and they are really worth every penny. The only saving grace is the staff, who are very helpful.
