Review Bombay Vintage - Mumbai

Wonderful hospitality such delicious varieties of food. We were a group of 15 people and had pre booked our table. Though we were late than the reserved time, it was a wonderful experience of having a great dinner at this vintage place. The staffs explained to us each of their signature dishes served. The food served on our table were so excess that some items we need to parcel and take to home.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing, and service was excellent. It’s definitely a little pricy for India standards. My meal was $21, which is what I would pay in the states. With that said, the meal was excellent and atmosphere was very relaxing. They also offer a 2 for 1 happy hour for beers and cocktails, which helps with the price. I would return to Bombay cafe.

We tried everything from fish, chicken, mutton, prawns, bhindi and let me tell you, it was such a surreal experience, a fine dining place, where the service was quick, ambience excellent with retro music playing in background and most importantly the food was fingerlicking delicious. Little expensive but worth the food and the service

Great place to go with friends in evening! Very well cooked mutton nalli nihari and fish tandoori. The staff was very warm and took good care. The place is little small and we felt little conjested, maybe because we sat on the high table. We ordered: Nalli nihari (must try) Tandoori fish Prawns biriyani Kulcha Few beers (zomato gold) Tomato halva (must try) Custard Overall it was good experience, but little expensive at 6500 after deducing 1000 from zomato gold. I would be happier if it was below 5000 considering the small portions

Amazing contemporary Indian restaurant, a very well balanced between authentic food, cozy environment and good service. Special thanks for Bhim who suggested me all for my lunch. Ask for a special desert made from tomato jam and ice-cream.

Lazy Saturday afternoon and a perfect opportunity to avail the gold offer. The ambience has a nice old Bombay feel to it with modern comfortable seating. The staff is super courteous and very knowledgeable. The pink rose gin and tonic and golden rum and spice to start us off. The mangoleran tenderloin fry - beautifully cooked with perfectly balanced spice levels. Great flavour and taste. The Goan chorizo and pav again authentic taste of Goan sausages with well balanced spice levels. Will definitely be back to try out more dishes. The menu looks absolutely interesting and must try place for all food lovers.

Recently visited Bombay Vintage which had a Koli Pop-up in collaboration with Authenticook to celebrate the original inhabitants of the city, the Kolis. The food was prepared using secret recipes passed on from generations of the Koli family and made with the freshest of fish using home-made masalas. We began with having a chilled beer 'Koliander' a beer from Gateway Taproom with generous amounts of organic coriander. The starters included Karandi Bhaji, Bombil Fry and Tuna Fry (which was the fresh catch) of the day. The Karandi Bhaji and the Bombil Fry are to die for. In the main Thali, we have the Pankanchi made in Pomfret. This is a thin green curry paste made using kokum making it very flavorful. The clams masala was yumm, a favorite from the list. The crabs rassa, a gravy made of coconut and Koli masala and the Kolambi cha ambat a prawn dish in tangy gravy goes well with rice. The icing on the cake was the Crab masala, if you are a crab fan, you cant miss this one. The dessert was Bharleli keli, a mixture of coconut and jaggery stuffed in bananas. Overall if you are a sea food fan, this is one thali you wouldn't want to miss. The team of Authenticook and Bombay Vintage absolutely slay this pop-up. Also the staff at Bombay Vintage is very warm and courteous and the place has a great old Bombay vibe to it. Back to try out the menu soon.

First of all, I really love the vibe of this place, the vintage objects that they have kept, the beautiful typewriter. What amazed me was that they have done such an amazing job with the detailing that there is a vintage vase in the washroom and olden days handle. It is great to see the efforts they have taken in the details. Ok i will now come to food- For starters we had the Kurkuri bhindi which was good would rate it a 3.5 /5. Aloo bomb 4/5 For mains we ordered - mushroom dhan saak which i felt should have been more spicy so 3.5/5. In drinks i called for a raspberry soda float which was yummy 4/5 For dessert we had the chocolate ganache mousse which was pretty good a 4/5. Kudos to their prompt service and the manager Mr Deepen who asks if everything was good and is very courteous. Just one suggestion, I had been to Bombay Vintage before it got renovated too and they had a curry festival, the food then was amazing!!!! I was a bit dissapointed with the food because last time the food had set a bar too high❤. But have always loved this place and definitely would want to visit again. 😊

Bombay Vintage has a feel good ambiance combined with some delicious food. To try various dishes a large group is advisable since the portion size is good enough. Try out their ghee roast dish (various options in meat and sea food, served with Neer Dosa) tastes and smells of pure ghee. Also, they have a good selection of cocktails. Had ordered a lot of dishes and will let photos do the talking and justice. Will definitely recommend this place!

Amazing ambience operated by a well knit together staff. We were in for a treat at this place. Not only did they serve one of the best chicken ghee roast I have had, the malai tikka was awesome too. Ordered: Chicken Ghee Roast Chicken Malai tikkaI Tuborg Heineken The staff was really pleasant. They will help you out on all fronts. We loved the decor and setup. Enjoy a great dining experience provided by an equally competent management team.

Ambience: Good - the interiors are painted in bright colours n decorated with vintage photos/posters. Retro style music played not to loud. Food: It looked interesting on the menu as the names are creative but it unfortunately didn't live up to the expectations. The portions are small as well. We were 5 of us & not a single dish was enough to split across in sizeable portions. We therefore ordered quite a few to try out. For appetisers the Tawa fry Surmai was bland as there was no garlic used in the preparation. One could not taste mutton in the Mutton Vada Pav Sliders. The Chicken Neer Dosa Sukkha Rolls & Prawn Stuffed Bombil Rolls were really good. For Mains we ordered Mutton Malwani Curry which came with a pot of rice (we had to order another pot) & was hardly Malwani in taste. Mutton Ghee Roast with neer dosa was better but came with 3 pieces of neer dosa so we ordered more. The mutton wasn't cooked well either. We ordered Sabudana Risotto which was really nice! Service: The staff was courteous. Service was slow & the food took time to come. Overall strictly ok. Onetime visit is all I can recommend

Round the corner of Regal, colaba - this place is a Vintage themed place with really good service and polite staff. The Happy Hours are totally worth it and the food thats recommend is awesome too. From Indian to Continental, amazing food. The Butter Chicken was too good.

Been there on weekdays, not much crowd was there.. The place was quite good and I really loved being there. We have ordered Malwani curry and Santa feast pizza which was very tasty .. I did not like pinacolada mocktail that much. The ambience was a tribute to the old charm of bombay. It had a very elegant and warm ambience. They have redefined the Mumbai's dabba wala culture..
