Review The Nutcracker - Mumbai

Aadil Rakhangi
Had a very nice Experience at this place. Its located nearby Kala Ghoda. Ambience is very nice. Wanted to try Mac N Cheese Pasta. To my surprise it was really the best one i had. Also for a Drink we ordered Fresh Lemongrass Lemonade. It was good. Also we Ordered Garlic Bread and Cheese Garlic Bread. Both were very good in taste. For Pasta Lovers you must give it a try. Food quality is definitely good. Taste will not disappoint you. This place is Highly recommended. Mostly they serve only veg Options apart a few dishes in non veg that will be only Eggs. Rest only veg options. So good option for Vegetarians. I have Added pictures you all can have a look on few of the dishes. The only that did upset me is the Timing as they shut around 11:00 p.m in the Night. After which they close their kitchen and if you want anything later after 11:00 p.m then you might have to try their desserts only.

Had to wait about 10 minutes as it’s very popular but was well worth the wait, had the trio of minis (apple pie, lemon tart and the signature 7 layer cookie) all three were delicious, my other half had the large 7 layer cookie, it really is something. Lovely atmos and the toilet was super clean.

Finally, The Nutcracker is ticked off my Mumbai restaurant bucket list. Having had the Eggs Florentine, Turkish Eggs, Loaded Nachos, Dragon Fruit + Basil Cooler, and Cold Coffee, this place is worth multiple repeats. Considering my fascination for Eggs Florentine, the one I had here is one of the best I've had in this city. Two poached eggs, with a runny yolk (as it should be), topped with a beautifully seasoned hollandaise sauce lying on a bed of spinach and toasted English muffin. It's my first crack at Turkish Eggs (not my last for sure). The crispiness of the nachos was like no other - it was clear they made it in house. The dragon fruit and basil cooler is perfect for anyone who doesn't like their drinks to be too sweet. Seating is limited so you will have a long wait time during peak hours and weekends. The ambiance is bright and cafe-like but it can get noisy owing to the small space.

Overall an amazing dining experience Located hardly 100 m from the iconic Kala Ghoda Good food good ambience courteous staff and super fast service Though the place is a bit cramped up and can accommodate up to a maximum of 20 people at any time but we need to give it for the location I loved the spaghetti burata cheese and Lebanese brunch bowl Bakery section is worth a try too Smoothie - Breakfast in a bowl is a must try drink. Yum and wholesome Love it

Have been coming here since college days and place never seems to disappoint. Very cute cafe with amazing food at a good price! Highly recommended for a good meal in fort area!

I had a breakfast (emmental truffled scrambled eggs) which was served very well prepared according to my request (not dry). I added pan fried mushrooms which were also nicely seasoned. Coffee was ok. The service was excellent and attentive. Eg they noticed I’m cold and they lowered one of the AC units.

Best service, eggs were good, but pancakes could’ve been better. I tried the pineapple cold brew, such a nice new experience.

We recently dropped by this cozy space in the lanes of Kalaghoda really loved the vibe also the vibes were so fresh. We would recommend you to try out there blueberry pancakes and Vietnamese coffee these were insane . Also wishing the team Nutcracker success and more power🤍👊🏻

Starting with the ambience, and with the exterior, although they are small in size but they've maintained an old bakery/store aesthetic appearance which is totally instaworthy. Coming the the interior, marvelous updates of the season, very cozy and comforting. Staff is very helpful and sweet. Main part: the food- loved the nachos and the big heartwarming waffles. No compromise in taste this place is highly recommended.

One of the best places that I have eaten in Mumbai. Anyone in South Mumbai specially in the fort area should not miss this place. Best breakfast place. My favorite was Turkish eggs and lemongrass iced tea.

Nice and cool place to visit for really good food and quiet environment. They offer buffet too if you are too much hungry. Spread was nice for buffet but normally I prefer to eat as per my choice. I ordered wonton soup and prawns dish with fried rice, all three dishes were amazing. They gave quick service also.

Situated in a lovely location with delicious food. Highly recommended the Warm Lebanese sandwich and the buttermilk pancakes. Make sure to get there on time cos there's limited seating and one might have to wait to get a free table.

Went for brunch today, and had such an amazing experience. Wonderful service, the food was fantastic, the pancakes were so soft , had the bean quesadilla and it was delicious so was the guac! We also had the Turkish eggs and the flavors were so on point just so yummy! Never have I loved every single dish at any restaurant that I can remember. Hope it continues this way, definitely plan to revisit soon!

It's a quaint place situated in the heart of Kala Ghoda which is perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch. The seating is a bit limited.

The Nutcracker is one of the best cafes I have been to. The location is in a very picturesque neighborhood. The service is awesome and the decor is so warm and cute. I had their Butter-milk Pancake. It was the best pancake I had till date. Came with butter honey and blueberry sauce. It was so filling and satisfying. I also had their Spiced Mandarin Tea which had Orange zest. A very comforting drink after so much sweetness. If you are I'm South Mumbai, and love food, it would be a shame to miss eating here!

This place has an amazing ambience but the food takes its own sweet time to reach your table. We tried pesto panini here and it had an authentic taste. It’s a perfect place for a date.

Neatly tucked in one of the by lanes of the Kala Ghoda precinct this French Style Café is a perfect place to grab a hearty breakfast Décor: 4.0 Loved how the façade with it’s French Style Windows adorned by creepers gives it a quaint cottagey feel. The rustic nature of it’s décor extends to it’s interiors too with geometrical tiled flooring, a mismatch of furniture ranging from wooden to distressed as well as eclectic Food: 3.0 Before I start must I advice that if one is looking for a hearty breakfast replete with Bacon Rashers, Sausages et al then you’d be rather disappointed. The menu here is dominated by Eggs and much to ones delight these dishes are so beautifully prepared that one may not miss their servings of meat “Oh so dearly” ;) We placed an order for the following: - 1) Turkish Breakfast Platter: Quite similar to a Mezze Platter, the dish comprised of Hummus (Made from Chickpea), Mutabal (Made from Aubergines), and a Scrambled Egg preparation complete with Onions, Carrots, Green Peas & Coriander accompanied with Baby Jacket Potatoes, a Salad of Micro Greens and Toasted Bread 2) Breakfast Sliders: We opted for Breakfast Sliders with Paneer Burji. The mildly spiced Paneer filling was delicious however the Chutney / Pesto that was used as a spread within the Bun was too overpowering. If you do end up ordering this might I suggest that you ask the Pesto to be served separately since it tends to draw away the attention from the Paneer Burji that outta be the star here 3) Salli Eggs: This Egg preparation prepared with secret spices comes served with Buttered Pao and Salli Potatoes. The spices used somehow reminded me of a Maggi Masala Mix which gives the Egg a nice zingy twist 4) Mushrooms on Toast: Another interesting dish on their menu is the Mushrooms on Toast. Do opt for the Multigrain Bread option though as the Earthy Mushrooms cooked in a Peppery mildly spiced Cream complements the bread base well 5) Buttermilk Pancakes with Belgian Chocolate: No breakfast would be complete without some Pancakes and Waffles right? After much debate we finally zeroed in on the Buttermilk Pancakes with an Add-On of Belgian Chocolate. The Pancakes were an absolute delight however surprisingly though ours came without a Blueberry Compote. It’s absence being a deliberate one or perhaps forgotten by our server I do not know. However, I would have loved to try a bite or two with the Blueberry Compote. Service: 4.0 The service is pretty good with the tables attended to as when needed V.F.M.: 3.0 The food though delicious might I say came at quite a steep price of Rs.2350/- AI Approx. and that included three cups of beverages too Final Verdict: 3.5 One should surely visit this place to experience eggs prepared in all their glory as well as try out a few other star dishes like the Mushrooms on Toast & Buttermilk Pancakes

I loved the place. We had breakfast here. A small cozy cafe with great ambience. Totally loved the food. We ordered Turkish eggs, buttermilk pancakes, eggs Kejriwal and passion fruit and mint drink.. Everything was perfect and each dish had its own amazing flavor. I personally asked them to give my compliments to the chef. Looking forward to coming here soon enough. In food coma now <3

Very good food with an old world cafe charm. I recommend the nutty spaggetti and passion fruit+ basil iced tea. I love bagels and they serve it lightly toasted with cream cheese and chives. Must visit place.

Enjoyed an amazing brunch at The Nutcracker - the Asian salad (oh so crunchy!) the special burger (they make their own buns!), the nutty spaghetti & the Lebanese sandwich finished with their special pancakes (the Belgian chocolate simply melts). Yes we went a bid overboard as everything on the menu looked so awesome! The ingredients and the preparation were super (I would give 6 stars if FB would allow!) and the service looked after every small detail! An afternoon spent in great company with awesome food! Thank You!

A lovely cafe for brunch. The food is always fresh, served by a very friendly staff. Also the desserts are scrumptious. The signature dessert, Seven Layered Cookie is the best part of this cafe. Do not miss on that!

Though it's a small place reminded me of a new York bistro. Amazing authentic food! Kids loved the quesadillas caramelized pancakes and the bagels! Not to forget the amazing oreo smoothie I shared with my son

Nutcracker for life♡ the most awesomest place I haven't been before and this is the right place for food for me.. the ambience the food the drinks and everything is beyond perfection and awesomeness.. chocolate Waffle's and pancakes are my most favourite.. keep up the awesome hard yummy work.. gonna recommend people about this place for for sure..
Chinmay Ranade
A Hole-In-The-Wall place which serves yummy salads, mains and dessert all at a reasonable price in a comfortable welcoming setting. We keep coming back to this place!

Went here today after a few months and unlike previous visits had a bad experience. Service and food quality has has gone down considerably. Out of 5 items, they forgot to serve the 2 beverages but included it in the bill (# B64341). While the amount was removed when we pointed it out, there was no apology for the mistake or for missing the order. Food was ordinary - three cheese omelette not cheesy and the grilled cheese sandwich dry at the edges. Many better options available in the same price range in the area. Maybe they had a bad day or maybe it's taken a turn for the worse.

Excellent place for Breakfast and all day food. Superb taste with variety of dishes. Nice ambience and very quick and efficient service by the staff with personal attention by owner herself.

Really enjoyed every dish : Stir Fried Vegetables, Black Bean Burger, Potato Wedges & the Quesidillas. The Nutcracker Spaghetti is my favourite. Even though i donot have much of a sweet tooth, just had a bite of the eggless Pancakes & couldnt stop binging on 'em!! Excellent food!!
Chirag M. Gandhi
One of my favourites. The food is great no matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. But always leave room for the 7 layered cookie.

A fantastic start and an awesome finish ! Started with egg roll / mushroom egg Kejriwal and Akuri to share. Washed off with frothy cappuccino and then the pancakes and Seven layer biscuit. Heavenly. Must visit again

Small and cosy cafe... great place to hang out. The buttermilk pancakes are superb!
The Sunday Suppers
The food is amazing. Something out of the box. It is a heaven for vegans and vegetarians alike as they have many options. The basic peach cooler was amazing. Full of good wholesomeness. The waffles were out of the world. Our favourites here are Hot Chocolate, Cookies, Desserts, and Baked Beans on Toast!
P.S - do try the sinfully delicious 7 layered cookie! Its heaven!
Ruchir Sheth
The black bean burger 🍔 was very flavour some & tasty . The spaghetti burrata 🍝was yum but heavy to eat . The Lebanese meal for 2 was quite good with enough quantity for 2 people . Only the bread they gave naming it pita was nowhere close to it . Overall loved the quality of food & the variety they have to offer her . I always love to go dine there where the food is hot & fresh . Cant wait for them to restart.....
A place to choose in fort can be so tiresome!! But when in mood for something sweet, this place is to be.. for their signature 7 layer Cookie.. there arent many dishes on the eggless side but this one is a sure hit for me!. The mixed flavour of caramel, butterscotch and chocolate and the crumbly texture of the biscuits is just on point and a sure try!! ..Thank me later ;)

Yes! Yes! Yes! Please please go and visit this place. This place is one of my top favourite cafes in the city. The food is comfortable to one’s palette, yet it has a little edge to, so it’s the perfect combination of familiarity and something new. The breakfast menu is YUM. The fun thing about the menu is that it suits, breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee and dinner. It’s a great place and a must visit.

Breakfast goals
Woke up today wanting the amazingly soft and melt in the mouth buttermilk chocolate chip pancake served with melted butter and maple syrup @thenutcrackermumbai . Oh yumm!
You will not regret visiting this small cozy place serving one of our favourite pancakes in town.
When we visited them for breakfast we had started off with a regular cheese grilled sandwich served with a side of salad. Decent.

The Barley and cracked wheat upma (jain) surprised us. This dish ticks your health goals and tastebuds. Healthy culinary satisfaction. Loved it with a little dash of lemon.

Breakfast Quesadilla was served with a salsa, which was a bit sweet for us but overall okay.

Not to forget we also had pancakes.

It might sound as too much food but we believe in heavy breakfast (and lunch and dinner 😛) and honestly it was for four people.
They might be delivering during quarantine.

Nutcracker is a nice, cute little place in Kala Ghoda which is apt place to chill and forget all your worries. I am a big fan of their Black Bean Burger. It is the most delicious and healthy burger I have had. They are perfect in their services and also very prompt. Their Cold Coffee is to die for. It's a perfect blend. It's a very peaceful place to hang out solo or with your special ones. Keep it up NUTCRACKER. Can't wait to visit u'll again

Cozy cafe. Just went for dessert. Had seven layer cookie, was too sweet for us.
Somya Goel
This is a tiny cute cafe close to the Horniman circle with one of the best buttermilk pancakes and chai! Also tried salli eggs but didn't enjoy the overpowering taste of semi cooked eggs in it. The coffee was decent too. But showstopper has to be the pancakes! 😍 The service and ambience is lovely as well. Perfect hangout/date/casual eating place. 😊

This is a very cute cafe and a good place to grab breakfast. We ordered the quesadillas and 7 layer cookie. Quesadillas were good but we felt they could have been a little better. 7 layer cookie was great. It should not be missed ! We felt that the staff was a little inattentive. I will definitely go back for the cookie though !

This Cafe in Mumbai is the place to be for a fulfilling breakfast with a book in your palms. Kickstart your day with their Turkish eggs, eggs akuri, dark chocolate waffles, pancakes, and eggs Kejriwal. These are a few of the many items you can order from their vast menu. Pair these dishes with a mint cooler or tea, and you'll be no less than satiated with your meal.

I had other restaurants mess up my order 3 times in a row via ZOMATO so I headed over to theirs to get something. The manager and staff are very polite, accommodating special requests and are very helpful. The quality of the ingredients are also very very good here

The nutcracker is just a small yet beautiful cozy place to have brunch at! It’s at the prime spot! Thé ambiance is amazing though its a cozy place and the music makes you tap your feet! We tried these buttermilk chocochip pancakes! And let us tell you that it’s literally the roadway to heaven! They are so so sooo soft and fluffy that its just melts in your mouth! We would like you all to visit them and try out their amazing menu! Follow @thesidewalkeatery Instagram for more updates .

Nutcracker is a really cute place with great food! I ordered a vegan burrito bowl and I was not disappointed! The guac was so fresh and the bowl was delicious!
I wish they had more vegan options especially when it comes to desserts. Their chef is so good, I’m sure they can make up some good vegan desserts! Hopefully next time they’ll have a separate vegan menu!♥️ 🌱

I had Brownie with ice cream and Nutella pancake out here. Brownie with ice cream was different than all other Brownie's I had till now. Nutella pancake was served like a dosa with a layer of Nutella between the two. My overall experience was-5/5

Food and service was great. The only problem I have is the fact that they used plastic to pack the food I wanted to parcel. I request you to please avoid using plastic for parcels and deliveries.

Been here many times; most recently just for desserts. We ordered the cookies and the After 9 hot chocolate, both of which were absolutely delicious.

Definitely recommend a visit (or two)!

P.S. you can buy the cookies separately too

I visited The Nutcracker at fort on a Sunday night and luckily got a table. One turn down is there is no valet parking here, but one can pay and park in one of the lanes of fort. This place is a very small place with hardly 6-7 tables but the ambience is well done.

The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and were courteous as well. We started off our meal with a Spaghetti Marinara and a breakfast quesillada.

The spaghetti was of a very good brand and was perfectly al dente. The sauce was authentic marinara and had a good tangy taste to it. Topped with capers, olives and parmesan cheese, it tasted very good.

The breakfast quesillada was outstanding. We initially ordered 2 pieces but loved it and asked the waiter to get 2 more of it. The sour cream and guacamole went perfectly with it. The salsa could have been made a little bit spicier though.

To end our meal, we went with the 7 layer party. Although the size is of a brownie, the taste is fantastic. The layer of melted chocolate adds a whole lot punch to it, and the textures of the nuts adds a great flavour with the biscuit crust. French Vanilla is the perfect compliment alongside.

The food is a little bit expensive, but I appreciated the fact that they don't take an extra service charge like most other restaurants of similar quality do. This place is a must visit for good comfort food, I'll definitely be back.

Well well well , what do I say about this place, been a frequent customer here since it started and this little cafe has never disappointed us.
Every dish , drink , dessert is unique and has been carefully curated. The pan cakes are to die for and so are the various egg dishes. Do visit this place the next time you are near to Fort / kalaghoda

So where do i start from Ah ! I am not a huge fan of cafes , i don't like vibe or the food , You know some experiences just change your perspective this experience for me was Nutcracker

The ambience ( wintery cozy happy. vibes i absolutely loved it , couldn't stop clicking pictures )
So we ordered a iced coffee and some sandwiches ( this place known for its burgers and sandwiches ) we went ahead with a random thingy
The first bite and i was like okay i am coming here again just to try burgers and explore the menu
Highly recommended if you are into cozy cafes , which serve good food

Lebanese sandwich was awesome...the bread is fresh and the sauces are really good...hummus or gaucomale both are truly authenticated.....also one more usp is it had actual Mexican rice, making the burrito bowl an awesome dish their. Overall a good place to visit....only feel it is little overprized...specifically when u see scream cheese bagel at an 3 digit value..anyways...I would say. I loved the place for it's taste and will do visit again....

It was a long photo walk, a couple of my friends and I went to this place for a break. We absolutely loved the ambiance and this pastry we ordered was delicious. Excuse me cause I don't remember the name.

The Nutcracker has always been one of my favourite places to go too! Have been going there for years and the staff is really courteous and polite. Super welcoming and really warm. Big fan of all their food and especially the meltdown ( salted caramel hot chocolate). Don’t miss their pancakes, it’s a definite winner! Had gone earlier today and due to an unfortunate incident, they waived off the bill which was a very sweet gesture. Keep it up team! Continue serving us the best food in town with great hospitality. I have attached few of the food images over the past visits to my favourite place! :)

A tiny little cafe tucked into the lanes of fort. Had been here long ago for breakfast but even after waiting for an hour or so we didn’t get a table. This time around we planned a super early dinner to avoid disappointment. We ordered a variety of salads and soup to start with. House salad, fruit root and nut salad and the warm cottage cheese with grilled vegetables. They were all so appetizing. Coming to the pesto panini , which was so flavorful although the sweet potato and yam fries were chewy and felt stale . Moving on to the scrambled eggs in truffle oil served with bagels. First off it was a gorgeous looking and smelling dish. The eggs were lightly cooked, delicately folded in the truffle oil with a garlic garnish... must say such a fantastic dish.. My meals and reviews are incomplete without the desserts and they didn’t disappoint. Their specialty was the seven layer cookie even though we couldn’t see all the layers, it was banging with all the different textures and flavors. The gooey cake was a choco coma of all sorts as well. All in all such a great meal proving you don’t need a big place just big taste. @thenutcrackermumbai #sncapproved #snceats #tastingtuesday #nutcracker #instagood #indianfoodblogger

It's an amazing place to have breakfast and to hang out with group. It's small place with limited seating. It's been in my list for a long while. We tried Egg Kejriwal which was perfect dish to have in a breakfast and had pan cake which was by far the best which I have tired it. , 😍 Must visit place

This place has a small but attractive interior. The quality of the food served here is good. The prices at which the dishes are served are a bit overpriced. Ambience - 4/5

It's small. It's cute. It's comfy.

Service - 3.5/5

The only letdown here. The staff seemed very apathetic to the presence of customers. We had to pour the water into our glasses ourselves. This is the only aspect that's stopping me from giving the place 5 stars.

Food - 5/5

Apple crumble - YUM! It's a crumbly apple pie served with vanilla ice cream. On a crisp Mumbai evening, this dish feels like a warm hug.

Value for money - 5/5

They do not impose a service charge. The dishes are very reasonably priced. You get the most bang for your buck.

Score - 4.4/5

It’s a small cafe in fort.
Had ordered French toast with blueberry compote which was very fluffy yet light. The blueberry compote was amazing, should give it a try!
The burgers were good too.
A small, chill vibed vegetarian(eggetarian) cafe. Even though they don't serve non-veg, the variety they have offered is quite impressive. The famous seven layered cookie is a must try. Also for cheese lovers, the classic grill sandwich is soul soothing. Since it's a small spaced cafe, expect min 10 mins of waiting. So plan accordingly. Overall it's not so pocket friendly but must visit cafe. 😊

Hands down, the best Blegian Chocolate Chip pancakes I ever had! And it is a proper Sunday brunch place. Cozy place around the corner with amazing food!

A pretty good place to hangout with friends at fort. The ambiance and service is good. But on weekends it's quite crowded, if you're visiting on weekends be prepared for a long wait.Limited menu options.
We ordered
Mac n cheese - it was too tasty.
Penne arrabbiata-perfect blend of spices.
It is well known for it's desserts and shakes.
We tried belgian nutella waffle - was worth the try.
Will soon be back to try other things of the menu.

It’s surely one of the best cafes in fort. Its got such a homely feel to it with really nice and chill interiors. Although has a little limited menu but then almost everything there is, is absolutely yum. The paprika pasta, the cottage cheese burger is my favourite there. Its a pretty cozy and small place so slightly difficult to locate. Its got great desserts.

Been here often. Consistently great food and good service. A chic cafe, with a cosy & friendly vibe - almost feels like home.

Tried many things on the menu. Everything is fresh, delicious and made to perfection.
The Turkish egg (unique & very, very good), anytime wrap, pancakes, and the 7 layer cookie are personal favorites. They have very nice shakes and juices too.
The Egg Salli is nice too, though a bit different from the usual. Potato salli and egg-batter are mixed together & cooked (vs usual fried egg on a bed of salli).
One dish I didn't like too much was their take on the eggs kejriwal - felt it had too much mushroom on it.

There's limited seating, so you may have to wait (well worth it!). Or come in for an early dinner (6.30 or 7) or an early / late lunch to avoid a wait.
As far as sugar cravings go, this one will tick off most of your boxes as a pancake, oreo thick shake and creamy pasta. And what makes it even better is the subtle burst of belgian chocolate chip flavours with every bite of pancake , double thick layer of oreo shake and tangy pasta with cheese.
A must try for my fellow sugar squads!
.
.
Food: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5

This one's been one of my favorite restaurants ever. They have a limited menu but it's pretty damn good. The Paprika Penne Pasta, Burrito Bowl, Buttermilk Pancakes and Eggs Florentine are my all time favourites. And I would highly recommend to try those. They have some really nice hot beverages too. It's one of those warm and cosy places I always love to go to.

Food - 10/10
Ambience - 9/10
Cost - 7/10

Totally Cracked it ! All the kala ghoda cafes move aside. Surely thr best by miles.

1. Belgian chocolate pan cakes... lite fluffy and yummmm....
2. Lebanese green eggs .. the star of my meal. Have never had anything like it. Zucchini , mint leaves, cream and eggs. A must have for egg curry lovers.
3. The nutty pasta is another must have . Nice simple.. perfect.

Will be back. The menu is different , adventurous and yet super yummy . Comfort food at its best.

Love it !

A cozy & cute place with a hippy young vibe. Though I must confess, I have never sampled enough of their food to give an educated opinion, the only dessert I had here made me happy :)
They have options that are vegan & gluten free too - so there is something for everyone on the table! We tried the signature Seven Layer Cookie as a post dinner treat between 7 adults - and boy, it was a great choice.

Great, quaint little cafe. The grilled cheese sandwich was an obvious winner, but the Lemon Tart is what truly shone through. By far the best lemon tart I've eaten. Does not serve chicken though, which might deter some people.

A cute little place with amazing ambience to hangout with friends, accompanied by great and delicious food... the place is worth going more than once.

Okay how do I describe this?
Let me tell you this, I went to Fort in the morning, had Brunch here, was so full but still wanted to try so much on the menu that I ended back here before heading home lol.
It’s that good!
The food is exceptional! One of the finest places in the city.
I went there during Christmas time, and their seasonal menu was to die for. The special dishes, dessert, hot chocolate, everything was excellent!
If you’re in Mumbai, you HAVE TO visit this one!

We are regulars to Nutcracker. The furniture and the decor is ecelectic. They need a bigger space to fit more people. The pancakes and the seven layer pastry are the perennial favourites.

It is a ver small cafe so seating capacity is a bit low and on weekends there is a long waiting.

A very quaint cafe. The interiors is an interesting combo of retro and minimalistic. The desserts served here are to die for.Fresh and amazing food. Lovely small place with a lively Ambience. A must visit in Mumbai

Had heard about this place and always wanted to try this out. It was raining and felt like trying out this new place with the very different Menu. I ordered the Lebanese green eggs which was the special on the menu. The eggs were so well poached and the gravy of spinach was at its best. The zaatar powder sprinkled on the eggs was the the best part of the meal. It took me back to the times when I used to eat it a bread with zaatar powder. The toast was average and had a white powder which was a bit odd.

For dessert I had the the seven layer cookie which was the cherry on the cake. I have never ever tried such a a dish which was served with vanilla ice cream. It tasted so nice with all the nuts and caramel, chocolate, nougat and many more. As a whole the sweetness was very well balanced.

If you are an eggetarian or vegetarian 🌱 this place is for you.... @thenutcrackermumbai .
.
📸- @hungerunleashed .
.
The Ambiance was good the place was a little small it would be so good if they had more seating space other wise it was a very warm and cosy place The service was really good the staff was very warm and welcoming. I really enjoyed this place . The the Eggs Kejriwal and the Bagel 🥯 with cream cheese is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 😊👍🏻.
.
.
#bagelisbae #bagelshop #nutcrackermumbai #eggetarians #foodforfoodie #foodisfuel #fluffyomlette #greatfoodwinstheheart #mumbaifoodies #fortmumbai #foodpornography #foodporn #foodiesinmumbai #foodfood

Nutcracker has good food and good service. Having said that, the service can improve because it’s really really slow, unfortunately.
Amazing Egg Kejriwal!!!

Places will come and go but this gem ensures to keep its value intact, been here after ages and happy to see its still the same, I remember the first time I came here I drove past twice still wasn’t able to locate it and trust me I still wouldn’t even today if I wasn’t accompanied, they should really work on those signage but then do they really need it ? Na !

This place is a café in true sense not because its tiny and has a limited but well curated menu but there is certain vibe to this place which is hard to articulate, too many memories! Don’t know how I missed to review this one

Now lets jump to food

Must haves

7 layer cookie, yes start from this because you don’t want to miss it when the person who is accompanying you will invariably say they are full after the meal, even if they do just go for it, name is 7 layer but its easily gulp-able

Akuri is a must have , its parsi version of bhurji , most of the egg dishes here are good but this is my favorite, egg kejriwal its quite a hit here but I prefer akuri or fluffy masala omelette over kejri

Black bean burger- the refried beans patty, caramelized onions and cheese, what can go wrong !

Kushari is a rice dish which is is infused with flavors, although I had better kushari than their version over here but still its definitely worth a try as you usually get this only in authentic Lebanese restaurants

The pastas are good as well but I usually indulge in deserts over here post the burger and eggs

A lazy Sunday deserves a refreshing brunch...and that was well executed Courtsey The Nutcracker.....although burger with fries always takes the cake away, but mind you!! my burrito bowl impressed my pallette as well.... Absolutely a must visit cafe.

This is a tiny place situated opposite to One Forbes. Was recommended to me by a couple of people in Bombay. Had to wait for about 15 minutes before we got a table.

Their menu has all day long options as well as other mains. We ordered a scrambled egg and cheese Quesadilla, mushrooms on toast and dark chocolate waffles with vanilla ice cream. The mushrooms on toast were fantastic, to say the least. One of the best I've had. The Quesadillas were also nothing short of great. The waffles were crispy and extremely well cooked. All in all, it was a great meal. A reasonably priced place, especially for the quantity they serve. Would recommend for a brunch!

Great food! Recommend mushroom on toast and aglio olio.

We ordered kafir lemonade and iced coffee, slightly above average.

The best waffles we've ever had. Check picture attached.

So I had this place on my list since a long, finally dropped in here for a Sunday brunch today with couple of friends. Tiny place which is not very easy to locate. They serve good variety of food all veg but they serve eggs. We ordered for Banana and salted caramel smoothie which was nice and filling. Also for lemongrass lemonade which was quiet refreshing along with Passion fruit and Basil Cooler which was sour and we did not like it.
When it comes to food we called for

1) Veg Kheema Pav - 5/5 Soyabean very well cooked was very tasty and was served with pav
2) Scrambbled egg with cheese and chilly - 3/5
3) Burrito Bowl - 3/5 Good
4) Salli Eggs- 1/5 It is a pie of batata Salli you hardly have egg in it. It taste pretty okayish very dry and served with pav which is of no use. Major put down..

Coming to the last which made our visit worth it was
7 layer Cookie - 5++ *Highly recommended*

The Nutcracker is a well known place in Fort, Mumbai. It has a reputation for its attractive and beautiful Cafe setting decor which is homelya and peaceful. It serves some amazing food which is rare in small eateries.

What we had:
1. Khushari - From the streets of Egypt, this Is a mix of Rice, lentils, chick peas and pasta topped with hot sauce. Served with Tapioca chips
2. Burrito Bowl- it is garlic parsley brown rice , beans and corn mix with sour cream served with salsa and corn chips
3. Baked Philadelphia Cheesecake - This baked cheese cake is a must try. It is served with blue berry on the side

Heard a lot about this place !
So finally thought to give it a try !
Went there ona sunny afternoon.
Ordered for a cold coffee - the description said that it would be served with ice cream , at least that’s what the waiter said when we asked him.
When the coffee arrived - it was nothing as promised.
It was really bitter. No sugar, no ice-cream !
The staff keeps staring at you, make you feel really uneasy !
I thought I’d order the famous 7 layer cake , but I was so disappointed with the coffee that I didn’t want to shell out more of my money.
Ambiance 8/10
Service 4/10
Value for money 2/10
Taste 4/10

I have been a perpetual visitor at this place. I love their cottage cheese burgers and salted caramel hot chocolate. Satisfy your sweet tooth at this place. Their 7 layer cookie is also an appropriate after meal dessert. Love how there is melted caramel, nutella, almonds combined into this delicacy. They also serve the best damn bagels. Delicious.

Wonderful little place. Went for Breakfast, first thing you notice is the nice looking furniture & Decor. It's quite a small place but makes you feel comfortable.

They are mostly serve vegetarian dishes as well eggs, no other non-veg. We ordered Salli Eggs & Breakfast Quesadillas. First of all Salli Eggs is big dish, second of all all their portions are quite good. The taste of the dishes was fantastic. The overall service is great, food & Menu is nice. For me the downer was the masala chai, it was more like Masala powder added chai, felt bad paying 165 for it. Other than that highly recommended

This is one of the BEST places in Bombay to have pancakes! Highly recommended. Do ask for your own choice of topping (dark chocolate/ Nutella). Other savoury items can be better in terms of taste.
French toast was decent too!

Visited this place after a good two years when a dear friend happened to describe the Turkish Eggs on their menu. It was sumptuous. The Turkish Eggs and the Buttermilk pancake is a must try.

Well went to this place and ordered a Bagel with cheese which was nice , the pancakes was good .. and the mango cheese cake looked really great but was ok , over all I would rate this place 4/5 and a visit 1 time
Nutcracker Zomato

As it usually says, first impression is the last impression. It was my first time here and I loved it. I ordered Turkish eggs and Fresh Mango Cheese cake. Both of them were amazing. The combination of poached eggs with yogurt and garlic blew my mind. The cheese cake melts in the mouth and there is no taste of synthetic mango essence in it which was phenomenal. The waiters and the service was prompt.

So very few places where I give a 5 rating, because I believe in the principle that there is always something that can be improved; however not giving this place full point, will be criminal on my part.

Cozy place, the ambiance calls out comfort. And if that does not do it, what will definitely gets you comfort here is the food.
Every dish was one better than the other. They had a seasonal salad with mango - it was really good. And the basil drink was heaven.
My compliments on the service too. Attentive, polite, friendly and yet not at all intrusive.

The nutcracker has been my absolute favourite ever since it opened its doors to town. This restaurant has a reputation for its quaint and beautiful cafe setting and decor which is extremely homely, yet peaceful.
The food quality and taste is always constant and amazing at every visit, which is something rare in many small eateries.

What’s special is that though the options to choose from are less, every item on the menu is a delight!

My Ratings On 5 :
Food : 5
Drinks : 5
Ambience : 5
Quality and cleanliness : 4
Service : 5
Decor : 5
Location : 5
Seating : 3
Pricing : 4

Price for a meal for two : ₹1200-1500

🥙The food I love

1. This is such a cute little place place worth discovering and sharing with all. It has such a simple but adorable ambience. I am generally scared to try lemon tarts at places but it was amazingly delicious and shockingly fulfilling if you are looking for a little snack time to savor your sweet tooth.

Whenever you stuck in that moment when you want to eat but at the same time not very hungry nutcracker is the place you should definitely try. The sandwiches are yummilicious 😍

Late Post Alert!

This has been a few weeks we visited our favourite joint which is also at Fort! This place never disappoints us with it's one plate dishes and especially seven layered Cookie!! (only at Fort)

The place is small and cozy which has outside sitting arrangement which gives you a nice foodie experience. Because of the size restrictions, be try to be there before your scheduled time as this is a most sought place and therefore have some waiting period even on weekdays.

The dishes we ordered were Nutty Spaghetti and Black Bean Burger! The Nutty Spaghetti was flavoured with Garlic, Herbs, Chilly Flakes tossed in Olive Oil garnished with roasted with Almond Shivers and Parmesan Cheese. Each bite will have that crunchiness of Almonds which makes this dish our favorite! The Black Bean Burger having that black bean patty topped with garlic mayo, caramelised onions and the add-on cheese. The bread was really a soft one and the Bean patty was amazing which made this Burger a really juicy one.

Highly recommend!

Had heard a lot about this place, however it failed to even remotely meet up to expectations. The food is sub par and extremely over priced. Would definitely not recommend this place
Globetrotting Foodies
I love the fact that they have a variety of hot choclates and all for them are delicious. However, I feel like they are slightly over priced. But nonetheless, I enjoyed my hot chocolate and eggs Kejriwal here. The cafe is adorable and food delicious.

It's a quaint little place in the streets of fort, with its pretty aesthetic and friendly staff. Their breakfast menu is to die for. We had the Bagel with cream cheese, chocolate chip pancakes and the smoothie of the day. Definitely recommend the pancakes and bagels, some of the best in town! ✨
Anika Mehrotra
Cute and cozy cafe. In drinks, we had salted caramel banana smoothie which was very good and delicious. Passion fruit and basil cooler was average and wasn’t cool enough to be called a cooler. Mushrooms were decent and egg kejriwal was good. Cost for 2 was 1200 approx

A very cute cafe with cozy interiors situated at KalaGhoda. We ordered Belgian chocolate chip pancakes, french toast and cappuccino and everything was so well made. The consistency and texture of the pancakes is something that many restaurants and cafes have a hard time getting right but not this place, they got it just right! The French toast was also absolutely delicious with a hint of cinnamon in it. Will definitely visit again soon!

My go to at Nutcracker - Burrito Bowl,Aglio Olio sphagetti pasta. Bagel and pancakes are delicious out here. Nutcracker is a cute little cafe with great food. It offers multiple vegetarian options. A must try if you are around fort.

Small cosy place, must day quick service. We tried kushari- rice bowl with lentils n some pasta piece settle taste. Veg kheema pav- really like the way it was prepared soyabean lover can try . Last but killer strawberry pancake.
Nitika Dalmia
It's a very tiny small cafe. The place is located near kala ghoda. They have parking facility available which a good thing. We had one seven layered cookie which was served with a scoop of ice cream. This was very okish. Had too many dry fruits and taste was pretty average. Then we had one more dessert, whose name I cannot recall right now, which was also decent. Overall I'll say this place is okok. Good to catch up with some friends for one hr or so.

One of the very first places I tried out in Mumbai.. thanks to a friend who took my there. I still remember the Akuri I tried there.. silky smooth version of scrambled eggs made to perfection served with Pao & Monaco biscuits! Perfecto! We also tried the Sally eggs.. another beautiful egg preparation on a bed of crispy potatoes! Paired that with a Oreo shake and we had one of the best brunches ever!
