Review Theobroma - Mumbai

Tiramisu! All hearts! Again such rich perfectly made dish. Have eaten here Dozen times and it never disappoints. The ingredients couldn’t have a perfect proportion. They bake the best brownies hands down! I bake sourdough so I really know the difference, their sourdough disappointed in many ways. Not sure if it was entirely fermented. Taste tells it all. New York cheesecake could have been better with such branding. But for any sweet cravings, there isn’t a better place than this. I only complaint will be the QUANTITY. Tiramisu is just 3 spoons and if you buy 2, it’s too much at some point. Little bit of quantity, and they will be unbeatable.

Beautifully made delicate cakes, brownies and pastries. All so delicious and beautiful looking. I think Wes Anderson may have been inspired by these cakes for the ones shown in Budapest Hotel. Obviously, I'm wrong. But the cakes are clearly good enough for that. Well worth a visit. Great air con. No WiFi available

Theobroma was such a joyful find in Bombay. The pastries are just sinful! The brownies, red velvet cake, banoffee pie, lemon tart, cheesecake, croissants and sandwiches, the list goes on and on, everything is just soo good to eat. The pastries are priced decently and are full of goodness. The warm brownie is the perfect pairing for a cup of Americano. The gooey chocolatey-ness of the brownie is wonderful and you really do get that kick of chocolate from that. The red velvet cake was indeed the best we had. The cake was moist and well-soaked, and the frosting had the perfect tanginess that we have been looking for. Red velvet cake was the synonym for perfection! The croissant was flaky, buttery and loaded with richness and goodness. The roasted chicken mustard sandwich was the perfect breakfast bite. The banoffee pie was all that it was meant to be. The New York cheesecake was the only thing that was falling behind a little. But overall, a great place for a guilty pleasure.

The obroma is a cozy place with a great ambience and delightful desserts for your sweet tooth. 🧁🍭🍰🍮 Right from entering the cafe to getting served or taking your takeaway in those beautiful boxes everything is aesthetically well presented which gives an eye-pleasing vibe. 🌈 Some might feel this place to be on a bit expensive side but definitely worth the visit. 💖

Red valvet cake, croissants, blueberry cupcakes and sandwiches are awesome. Coffee is better than Starbucks coffe. Mango cheese cake was major let down. Finding a parking spot near this store requires divine intervention. Overall pastries, sandwiches and coffee is great here. Not much seating place in the shop.

Went in here a few days ago with a friend to have a coffee. Unfortunately, it took a while for the coffee to be delivered because the cashier who took the order passed it on to the other person working at the time. There seemed to be some kind of misunderstanding between the two which resulted in the coffee order being delayed. The young lad apologised for this and provided a complimentary brownie to make up for the delay. The coffee was quite good and piping hot! The cafe is located on a busy road but it's nice and quiet inside. After a few days, I went back to purchase a cake to take with me as I was visiting a friend's house for afternoon tea. They provide cakes/pastries both in eggless and normal versions. The decor inside the cafe is nice and this is an easy place to recommend to anyone looking for a good coffee and pastries while visiting Colaba ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Theobroma - It's a very famous brand across the nation. I won't review it specifically but the place has the best brownies in town. Chocolate overload & Oreo are personal favourite of you're a chocolate lover. Pasties, puffs, Shakes, chocolates are of the best premium quality. Value for money totally Gets shut by 11.30 in the night. Pro Tip: Take me along and treat me the brownies. Trust me you don't need any reason to eat them.

It is located at Colaba. It has Cakes, Pastry, brownies, biscuits & coffee. Tasty is good of pastry. Different variety of cakes and pastries are available. Their are 2 tablets and chairs for in house Dinning. They have breads also.

The attached photo is the portion of 2 brownies (Table spoon for scale) , which is 80 bucks each plus gst, they also charge a "packing fee" of 15 bucks. I do not absolutely think the size justifies the cost. Would not recommended. Try ordering from other outlets if you can!

Theobroma was always favourite of mine, but ever since I saw with my eyes terrible I could not stand, when I ordered the coffee Latte i saw the milk which is cheap quality (mother dairy) they are using for the coffee Latte or cappuccino...etc .. theobroma is a brand how could they use such a cheap.... Quality milk.... And you guys are charging good but atleast give us the quality very very disappointing and fooling the customers .. no more theobroma...

It's really sad to see the quality of theobroma go from bad to worse over the years and today was the final straw! There was positively nothing nice about the banoffie high we ordered (which used to be a household favourite years ago) I could tell the amount cost cutting that's been done in terms of flavour and quality ingredients and it's not just my family and I but a general verdict having spoken to friends about the same. You guys were so good once upon a time....now your stuff is inedible and it's so sad that noones looking into this!

Horrible and shit experience i ever had at this place, this place was such a shit that it couldn't provide a dustbin and was saying i cannot help it, i even asked for a spoon rather eating with a spoon i had to use my hand, such places can spread covid19 because they do not have dustbin outside their shop so avoid going here.

This cafe is the most aesthetic cafe I've been to. It's interiors are pastel. It's famously known for its desserts and small bites. The cookies and the Danish here are also delicious.

I loved the coffee and the variety of coffees and pastries at this place, but the cafe was super small with the crowd not that much into decency and manners. It's a shame that such a good place can't be out of such unavoidable cases

Its a famous bakery chain in south mumbai.we tried their walnut brownie, chocolate chip brownie and over load brownie. All were excellent and served hot. We also tried their dutch truffle pastry and it was good. Do visit here for desserts if in the vicinity

The cappuccinos were literally out of the world , I wish Theobroma would open a store in Bengaluru as well. The opium pastry melted in my mouth leaving behind the rich chocolaty taste . Over all it was worth the visit and money .

Thank Heavens for this amazing bakery chain. They are the only ones who make Christmas pudding. Made in the traditional manner they just melt in your mouth. The raisins and other dry fruit make it doubly delicious. For take away they come packed in nice beautiful box!

Picked up some cupcakes and pastries today evening and they smelt completely off - like kerosene. Called the manager and asked for a replacement, the second batch came back with exactly the same smell. Begrudgingly, I was refunded the money. Such a shame that one of the most renowned bakeries in town has come down to this

My son bought this cake from theobroma colaba but cake turned out to be very stale n hard and this yellow cream is so full of sugar we cannot have full bite of it . We got very sad as he bought it as surprise ..leaving us disappointed on such a special occasion !!

Tried their millionaire brownie and banoffie. Both were really goood! Banoffie has some coffee flavour kicks too , which is like a twist in this banoffie tart. Lovely desserts!

The employees here are a very courteous and friendly . Especially Umesh , Malan , Melvin , Chetan ,Namrata, Vijay and many more . But my favourite employee is Umesh. He’s very polite and welcoming . Have noticed that he is patient with all customers especially the rude ones . Pastries are Fabulous but would request combo offers too . And please do introduce something healthy for the health conscious and people struggling with weight .

The chicken butty was delicious with the right blend of mayonnaise. My main grouse is that they were rather skimpy with the chicken. In fact, more than 80% of the filling comprised fries. Perhaps they should call it a fries bitty. It would be more honest.

A cute little Cafe in the street's of Colaba. I go only there for coffee and red velvet cheese cake. Both are the best things available there. The sandwichs are really good too.

Unboxing chocolate happiness.... One of my favourite Pattiserie to visit is most definitely Theobroma.... Here we went totally overboard on chocolate options only... My all time favourite , the walnut brownie... Moist, warm and crunchy courtesy walnuts, it is heavenly... The only drawback is that Theobroma has most definitely become a lil stingy with the portion... But the taste is amazing as ever... Next is the hazelnut chocolate eclair .... Mmmm Mmm... Crunchy hazelnut with a hazelnut chocolate cream on top and filled the eclair.... It was a delight.... But hand's down , I fell in love with Opium pastry... Omg!!! A gorgeously made dark chocolate pastry it was divine... Melt in your mouth chocolatey heaven!!! Nothing like ending the day on a Chocolate heaven note !!!

I had brownie from this place which is different from normal brownies. It is softer inside like cream and has thin crisp layer on outside. Taste is what makes it different from others - very fresh and great chocolaty taste only to level it is required. On top of that the brownie I had is eggless.

The chicken chilly roll was tasty. The bread was hot but the filling wasn't. That was a bit of a negative. Egg Benedict - I really liked the runny eggs. Even the bacon was good and so was the side crisp cheesy thing. However, the bread below the eggs was neither hot nor soft. A blissful place to be after a long day, always the sweetest brownies and mind you, they do have eggless brownies, a must visit when your in this area!

This dainty place serves amazing brownies - soft on the inside and nice n crumbly on the outside! The double chocolate chip cookies were so good that I bought a few tins for friends. They serve 5 varieties of raw pressery drinks out of which we tried the valencia which was super fresh. Also tried the mint lime with soda.. which was very refreshing after a causeway walk.

Sorry for this review. But seriously had A very upsetting experience. This delivery guy by mistake dropped the cake in mud. He asked for forgiveness. I forgave him but then these guys claimed ki it was dropped by me and they won't reimburse. Seriously didn't expect this much unprofessionalism from such a brand.. very bad..

I had 2 of their brownies- oreo and choco chip... Not too dense, definitely fudgy and they warm it for you... tasted amazing. The brownies are definitely the best thing on the menu. The best part about this Theo is that you can take it and then sit by Marine drive. The space is small but the service is fast and efficient. Sometimes in the evenings though, the pastries can taste a little different...I mean, they always have better.

This place serves the best brownies in the country. Whenever i visit Mumbai, i do visit this place to take home their amazing variety of brownies. A haven for all things sweet, Theobroma is one place I would keep going back to over and over again! Suggested by a friend. Visited their Colby outlet this afternoon. I liked the number is varieties they have for pastries and savoury items they have. I was basically craving for desserts so I ordered a Choco Chip Brownie, A Red Velvet Cake and a Hazelnut Chocolate Cake. Loved all of them. Very flavourful and fresh. The brownie was fudgy and very delicious. The other 2 pastries were equally good. Managed to have one savoury dish ( Non Veg Quish ) as I was pretty full and that was also very delicious. I’ll definitely visit the other outlets and have some other pastry varieties.

Great food and ambiance, a lot of varieties for pastry ppl, they have some of the amazing pies you’ll come across in Mumbai, fast service staff is very polite and patient. Do try there brownie milk shake and kit kat shake. If you love burgers do try the ham one it’s delicious. They bake one of the best cakes one should try there moose cake!

This place has grown really fast in Mumbai. I was recommended to go here. And my experience was good. I tried different types of puffs here which were delicious. But the only thing that let me down was the brownie. Chocolate overloaded and Millionaire brownie were okay and nothing made me go wow. I'm expecting more and will also try another options from the menu soon.

When ordered from Zomato for delivery, the packing and quantity is not upto the standards ffor theobroma which is such a disappointment... when ordered from Swiggy or if taken directly, the quantity varies!! Theobroma does justice to its motto - "food of the Gods". Everything they have tastes like heaven. But my favorite is Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese frosting. The cake is absolute soft and the cream cheese frosting is always fluffy and fresh. If you are at Theobroma then you are always smiling with joy.

Theobroma is been my far so favourite place for desserts and coffee.<br/>One of the dessert I surely eat is tiramisu.<br/>I think they have best in class tiramisu in a very affordable price. Must try <br/>

This was my first Theobroma experience years ago when I was in Mumbai just as a mere visitor. Since then its been a fairy tale journey. Absolutely love this store for its sheer variety- this is the second store after the one at the International airport where I can find most of the stuff that I'm looking for. Quality is at par with Theobroma standards and service is very friendly. A little quaint cafe feel.

Theobroma has some amazing treats to offer i have been to many theobroma stores and enjoyed their brownies , tarts and pastries . This time i decided to try two amazing tarts they offer -chocolate and lemon. The tarts had an amazing crust . The filling was light and full of flavour .

This is the first theobroma I tried long time before. I must say to theobroma ppl that “thank you for just being there and serving a good food” <br/>Everything taste good here. Everything made with some uniqueness here. Its a good place for bakery items. Especially cakes, brownies and many more. <br/>Liquor cakes are just amazing. This particular outlet has a space constraint. But the food is really good.

They have the best eggless brownies. Being a vegetarian to find a place that serves amazing brownies is a blessing. And after a long afternoon at colaba causeway spent shopping, their peach iced tea was just the right thing. It's difficult to find the cafe empty because of the amazing stuff they serve. But if you want good stuff you can definitely don't mind waiting.

Theobroma, colaba--The most disgusting staff ever! As posted on Zomato, the closing time is midnight. We entered the eatery at 11 & placed the order, the person was reluctant to serve and insisted we take away the food! When we told him that you still have an hour to close we will quickly grab a bite and leave. After much thinking he decided to serve us. While we were eating and I went on the counter to pick up a pastry (precisely it was 11.25) the fellow had already cleared my table and picked up my chair! My glass of cold coffee which was full was cleared up! & when asked reason, he said it's closing time! How ridiculous is that!! And started arguing that we've to clean and shut by 12! Then why the hell you don't put up a board saying "CLOSED" at 10.30pm itself! Such pathetic behavior.. And please note you're place was utter dirty- uncleaned tables are being offered to sit! My serious suggestion either ask your staff to perform a better behavior or change your timings! Atleast it will make the patrons aware not to enter the eatery!!

Always have some amazing desserts and cakes. One of my favorites is the chocolate dense loaf. Went for breakfast and had an amazing eggs benedict and cold coffee as well. Love the place. Service can be a tad slow on occasion but overall I'm a big fan.

Food has always been great! Can't remember ever going wrong with this place! Breakfast menu is just heavenly and filling!<br/>The only thing I wanted to mention was that on my last 2 visits, when I dined in, the tables were not maintained well.

Had Dutch pastry and pineapple pastry. Fab as always.<br/>The veg quiche & seekh croissant were fine .<br/>Going back for the cakes !<br/>Chocolate cupcake was a delight!

A very Pretty place with its mint green and white, classy vintage look and is my favorite Theobroma outlet. Been going to this place since Ages.<br/>The staff are very polite and friendly and always available.<br/>My favorites and a must try are NewYork cheese cake, choco chip brownie and Mutton Puff.

I love all the desserts here. I’ve tried the red velvet, choco chip, overload , cookie and walnut brownie and all of them are delicious. Some are extremely sweet and so you might not be able to eat the entire thing at one go if you don’t have an extremely sweet tooth like mine. My all time favourite pastry is their blueberry cheesecake which is made to perfection and right from the crumbly crust to the cream cheese filling and blueberry jam on top , you’ll enjoy each layer in each bite you take. I’ve also tried their New York Cheesecake which is good too but not as good as the blueberry. Their Opium cake is also delicious and so is there After 9 cake . The After 9 cake is made with the deadly combination of mint and chocolate and is so refreshing and light . The hazelnut mouse cake is also very very light and tastes incredible. I also love their Monster cookies and their dessert jars (rainbow,blueberry and red velvet) . The one thing I dislike is the cupcakes. I didn’t like the texture and the overall taste of their cupcakes having tried a few flavours like Red Velvet and chocolate.
