Review Royal China - Mumbai

One of the finest dining experiences that I have had recently. Every single dish that we ordered was on point in terms of taste as well as presentation The order went thus- Turnip Cake with Burnt Garlic - The Burnt Garlic on top of the cake elevated the dish to a different level. The garlic was burnt to the perfect consistency helping it release its flavours to the optimum - Highly recommended Butter Chilli Baby Corn and Potato Royal China Exotic Vegetables - The gravy seemed to be slightly less as compared to the vegetables but we were given an additional serving of the gravy separately on request Butter Garlic Vegetable Fried Rice Royal China Mud Cake - The softness of the cake and the chocolate sauce on top of it could not have been more perfect❤ Special thanks to Bishnu for his recommendation of Turnip Cake with Burnt Garlic which was simply fantastic

It is a restaurant in which uses high quality ingredients to make delicious food while also maintaining the freshness. This restaurant also has incredibly kind staff who were able to assist us in all of our dining needs. The 3 dips were spicy and good Howe bet they were overly sweet. All dishes were good but the turnip cakes were a favourite as an entree, they had an excellent crunch on the outside while being soft on the inside. They had excelled with the burnt garlic pieces. For a sweet dessert I recommend the molten chocolate lava cake, but do be aware that there was no lava when you cut it open. But the cake was moist and delicious with plenty of chocolate flavour while not over sweet. I also recommend the chocolate bao.

This visit, we focused on the dumplings / baos / buns, trying a wide variety of options. The menu seems to have been expanded - and with pictures to make ordering simpler. Their steamed prawn dumplings in chili oil and duck spring rolls are particularly delicious. The dessert menu also seems to have more choices and the warm, chocolate-filled baos are a real treat to end the meal. Decently priced cocktails and beer. The mocktail had a huge cube of ice and not much mocktail, but good enough.

Celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary at Royal China Restaurant was a delightful experience. The elegant and spacious ambiance, coupled with a warm Wednesday afternoon, made the restaurant feel exclusively ours. True to its name, the decor exuded a royal charm. Upon our reserved arrival, we were graciously guided to our table near the bar. The steward, a kind and attentive gentleman, ensured our comfort throughout the evening. We shared the significance of our special day and our preference for non-spicy dishes, to which he patiently responded, allowing us ample time to decide on our order. Our culinary journey included indulgent sweet corn and crab soups, a delightful array of dumplings (prawn & chives, peking duck, belgian bork bao, and steamed tenderloin), followed by sweet sour pork and succulent tenderloin strips in a delectable special sauce for the main course. The noodles and rice were equally satisfying, prompting us to savor every bite. Despite our seemingly extensive order, we opted to take the leftovers home for our son, a testament to the chef's culinary prowess. The Fried Toffee Banana dessert, a nostalgic treat from our travels in Malaysia, was the perfect conclusion to our exquisite meal. Our overall experience at Royal China was exceptional, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to others. Many thanks to Royal China for creating lasting memories on our special day.

Royal China, South Mumbai Experience the Royal Dining at “Royal China” well the name says it all 😍 The ultimate experience of fine dine been there for over years to try the real taste of China ! I have heard a lot about this place, but this was my first hand experience at this splendid restaurant having an outlandish interior and an experience you wouldn’t want to miss. And sometimes you get lucky with some really great deals at such amazing restaurants. Yes, I just got lucky to experience their “The Best Of Royal China Experience” menu at just Rs. 895/- per person. They had a great set menu to select your type and choice and enjoy the vibe. You get to order 1 soup, 1 Dimsum, 1 Mains , 1 Rice or Noodles and 1 Dessert at the price quoted above. We ordered :- Sweet Corn soup & Hot n Sour soup, it was really delicious. The Crystal Dumplings & Corn and water chestnuts Dumplings had my heart , they came in 3 pcs each with a real good portion size. Cottage Cheese with chilly oil was a perfect pick for mains Alongwith the mixed vegetables in black bean sauce. We ordered some Fried Rice and Noodles to compliment the mains. You can’t miss on their scrumptious desserts they serve, I’m sure it will be a delightful experience you would want to visit soon, I have loved the service and Hospitality, Mr Jeff and Rakesh have been super acknowledging all through my dine in experience. It was indeed a Royal experience at this restaurant.

My go to Chinese restaurant in the city. I don't think I've had one bad meal here since years. But if I have to pick one thing to eat, it will always be the crispy aromatic duck.

The food was amazing and had so much flavour, the staff was very attentive and assisted us during our time here. The place has a beautiful ambience and decor as well. My favourite dish was the steamed wantons marinated in chilli soy sauce. It is packed with so much flavour, a must-try if you are eating here.

Royal China comes in top 3 chinese restaurants in Mumbai. Food is authentic, real chinese taste, real Chinese prepration. But portion is less esp in dimsums . Just 3 dimsums are served. Veg options are less Non Veg is great here. Prior booking is required. **Only for those who want to try something different. Atmosphere were really classy. Interiors is awesome. Situated in Kala Ghoda Area.

Food has always been fantabulous. Dismayed that you only get 3 peices in most dimdum dishes. Rarely do people go out in odd numbers. It should be 4 minimum !! Should we be compelled to order more, or is that the idea ?? Sorry but that's Not decent !!!

Last evening, I was at the Royal China restaurant for Dinner. Even though it was a weekday, it was completely full. Obviously, for the fact that they serve delectable Asian and Chinese food. A very beautiful Fine-Dine experience with light music, perfect seating arrangement, friendly staff, and scrumptious food. What else would you need to enjoy your meal? Coming to the drink, we ordered 🍹Caipiroska - Since I usually prefer having Vodka, this was my best bet. Ordered Caipiroska which was made just perfect with muddle lime, salt and sugar into the old-fashioned glass and with crushed ice. 🍹Virgin Piñacolada – A very refreshing and delicious Mocktail made with coconut milk, and pineapple juice. We tried a variety of dumpling and they all were simply wow. It’s a treat for your taste bud. 🥟 Chicken & Chive Dumpling 🥟Prawn Crabmeat & Black pepper Dumpling 🥟 Prawns & Mushroom Dumpling For Appetizers we ordered 🍗Fried Chicken – Nice Deep-fried Mongolian style Chicken balls served with spicy sauce. The taste was just perfect. 🍤Prawns Tossed in Salt & Pepper – Jumbo prawns tossed in salt, pepper, and chilies. I loved the taste. It’s a perfect combination of flavors, vibrant & beautifully plated appetizer. A prawn lover should try this. For Mains, we ordered 🍜Chicken Fried Soya Noodles – Very flavorsome Hongkong Style Soya Noodles with chicken. The portion is more than enough for two people. 🍤Prawn with Chili Garlic & Spring Onion – Served on a sizzling plate, flavorful & aromatic prawns which went well with the noodles we ordered. Can’t get enough! They were super delicious. Coming to the favorite part of the meal, ordered not one but two desserts 🙈 🍎Apple in Toffee Syrup – This is Royal China special, so I had to try this. Very tasty Apple pieces that were coated in batter and deep-fried. Later tossed in Toffee syrup. It was super yummy. Soft from inside and hard from outside. It went well with the vanilla ice-cream served along with it. 🍨Melting Chocolate dome – This is a delight to watch and eat. Hot chocolate poured on the chocolate dome. The inside had an amazing chocolate cake and ice-cream. The cherry pieces added a nice taste to the overall dessert. Loved it. A very nice way to end the meal. To sum up my experience at Royal China, I would say that I can go gaga over the food and the service. It’s been one of the best fine-dine Cantonese restaurants I have visited lately. 💯Highly Recommended!

Royal China is #royal in ambiance food & service.. The restaurant started in 2003 jointly by 3 #Parsi entrepreneurs to serve the authentic Chinese delicacies.. One of the most prestigious famous destination for foodies and #Bollywood celebrities too.. Total restaurant covers - 96 Average #cost for 2 people will be around ₹6000/ (excluding applicable taxes & drinks) The decor is tasteful with Chinese lucky elements like portrait of a Chinese Emperor Hints of red in the upholstery Lots of options for vegetarians too But we've chosen mainly non-veg and seafood dishes. Restaurant Manager Mr Jeff Hu is a very helpful person, maintains a good relationship with the clients, mostly keep on visiting the restaurant again and again.. And want to mention about Ms Poonam for her warm welcome in the entrance and great service.. Signature #Mocktails - Cranberry Kiss Mumbai Ginger Splash Lychee & Lemon Grass Lush Started with signature dim sum, the most popular dishes of this place Dim Sum - #PrawnandCrabmeat black pepper Dumplings Fried #Lobster Wontons Roast #Pork Cheung Fun Appetiser - Fried Prawns with burnt garlic Salt and pepper calamari Authentic Main Course dishes - Sautéed #Fish in Black bean Sauce Sautéed #Chicken with Chilly Oil and Spring Onion Sautéed Greens and Black #ShikakaiMushrooms #EggFriedRice #PeckingDuck - one of the most popular dish, crispy aromatic duck meat served in thin pancakes with in-house prepared plum sauce & fresh spring onion cucumber fine slices.. Authentic Chinese yummy dessert - Lai Yong Bai #custardbuns - steamed sweet rice flour buns, egg york custard in the filling.. Enjoyed one of the best authentic Chinese delicacies in this South Mumbai restaurant... Table booking in prior is recommended Valet parking service is available

The place is freezing cold.. take a sweater. Went to the town one as it is much better ambiance. Parking sucks and they dont allow you to park ur car even thought its in the same building!! The food par excellent But ask for the sweeten nuts.. worth the calories. The dessert also chocolate is the best.. The set meal is a good option a bit more than HOM house of mandrin and cheaper than yautcha but much better.. Overall 😋 delicious.

Super Fine Dine place. I had been seeing this place for a while now while passing Sterling theater and always thought of going there at ease..Well I finally found time and went on a Friday night with a friend. As expected the reservations were full. Luckily we had booked way in advance so was not much of a hassle. Ambiance is lovely. Soft lights makes it perfect for a date ! Here is what all we ordered which was impossible to finish bt we loved all all of it. Appetizers: 1. Turnip cake with burnt garlic 2. Sesame potato toast 3. Fried dough Cheung 4. Truffle edamami dumplings 5. Veg lettuce wrap Turnip cake with burnt garlic: As the name suggests its a turnip cake with burnt garlic on cubes, the garlic taste is perfect ! It's a Chinese Dim Sum dish made of rice flour and shredded raddish. It's a must order. Sesame potato toast:Its a toast with mashed potato and sesame seeds and mint chutney. Fried dough Cheung: Its one of the must haves here. They are fried wraps with the outer layer being crispy. It tastes sweet and spicy and should be eaten with a soy based sauce that is served with it. Truffle and Edamame Dumplings: Along with the edamame what stands out the most is this dish in these dumplings, is the flavour of the veggies tightly packed together. Vegetable Lettuce Wrap: They mentioned to us that it's their signature dish. It's served with a sweet sauce on the side with a bowl full of veggies and crispies. Main Course 1. Mix veg in soya chilli garlic sauce 2. Potatoes with okra in shezwan sauce 3. Burnt garlic fried rice 4. Aubergine in black bean sauce 5. Veg soya Hong Kong noodles. Mix veg in spy chillie garlic sauce: Mixed vegetables in chilli garlic sauce is quite flavourful and goes well with rice. Burnt garlic fried rice: is was lovely. (Me being a Garlic lover loved it the most) The best part garlic was not too harsh. This with any gravy is a great combination. Veg soya Hong Kong noodles was lovely too in the main course. Drinks 1. Pina colada 2. Blue sea 3. Cranberry kiss 4. Litchi diaquiri Drinks were very well mixed and made. Desserts. 1. Chocolate mud cake with ice cream 2. Espresso coffee. Chocolate mud cake is a must must have ! Served with vanilla ice cream. A monstrous dinner and an outstanding experience.
