Review Rocky Star Cocktail Bar - Mumbai

I had heard a lot about this sensational place from friends. Finally I went there. Decor is so classy. It’s a perfect place to hangout with your friends. In bar menu I tried their signature cocktail Table number 13. The flavour was really intense. Then I went for Table number 27 Cocktail. It was passion fruit based. I absolutely enjoyed it. I also ordered Avocado Shake and turned out to be superb. In appetiser, I ordered The Dijon. Yummilicious Cheese Croquettes going perfect with our drinks. Then I tried Madrid. They were like small mini Pizzas 🍕 with avocado on top. In mains, I ordered Italian food. The ravioli and rissoto were so good. Specially Rissoto was just awesome! Perfectly cooked and very authentic. In Desserts I ordered The Peru, chocolate mousse based dessert with Gold Dust and The Czech Republic. It was a babka. Beautiful menu. You get good options. I would like to specifically mention my service staff, Mr Sujit was very courteous. He was very kind. Also Mr Sanket, arranged a special table for us. Kudos to the entire team of Rocky Star for this amazing venture :)

The ambiance is lovely.. Deem light and lovely sitting arrangements make your day. Staff is very friendly and they keep a regular check if you are enjoying and any improvement needs to be made. It has place to accommodate large group and also smaller group can enjoy the sofa . The main attraction is drink that they offer. They have a large variety of drink especially imported liquor. But I did not enjoy the food much. Quality was good but a person may not like all the food they offer..Need to add up to the menu for new items and improve taste to some extent. Rest all was fabulous

Rocky Star cocktail bar surely one of the star that outshines in the vicinity of Kamala Mills. Exquisite interiors designed by the well-known fashion designer Rocky S. If you are looking for some European and Mediterranean cuisine then Rocky Star is the place for you. They have their dishes named after different cities and countries round the globe representing their culture of taste. Even the drinks are uniquely name based on numbers but definitely kudos to the style of preparation by their mixologist. Food: 1> The Dijon – Crunchy from outside with combo of parsley/nutmeg/cheese. Placed on mustard and dijonnaise sauce with gold dust sprinkled on it. 2> The Istanbul – Smoked lamb kebabs cooked perfectly served with thyme pita bread, harrisa cacik and wild roquette. A must try for the appetizers. 3> The Monte Carlo – Amalgam of chicken & mushroom mousse something you never come across but had its own unique tempting taste 4> The Oslo – For the love of fish gave a try on this one it lived up to my expectations. 5> The Marrakech – Peppery chicken legs perfectly grilled served with sherry puree. Chicken was tender and succulent. 6> The Siena – So far the best pasta ever had. Served hot on the table. Cream of the sauce was simply heaven. Highly recommended to go for this one. 7> Catalonia - French vanilla crème brulee served along with passion fruit crystal and few marshmallows. 8> The Peru – Showstopper of all!! Best dessert ever had. Amazingly made hazelnut chocolate mousse served along with mini butter cookies and Belgian chocolate shot along with 24 carat gold chocolate bar by seeing it you won’t feel to break it and eat and those smoked marshmallows went well with the hazelnut chocolate mousse…ummm….sweettooth.. Drinks: 1> No. 7 – a rare combination of white rum, raspberry, blueberry, rose, basil ,apple topped with galangal beer 2> No. 13 – One whiskey please…strong enough to arise you with the smoke of hickory wood lasted till the end. Fell in love with the presentation an absolute stunner. 3> Butter Fruit Shake - the texture was thick with a mixture of avocado, lychee, lime and cream. 4> Lemongrass infusion – An amazing concoction of lemongrass, ginger, apple and cranberry juice. Ambience: Everything here is luxurious, appealing, grandeur right from the interiors to the gorgeous couches and fancy chairs, chandeliers hanging in centre was the limelight of the place. Dimly lit lights added elegance to the place. Bar counter is where you will find all the magic happens with the cocktails prepared with perfection. Service – Our attendants both Sujeet and Shailen had their recommendations which created a happy ending to our table. Both of them polite and quick on their feet’s. Royalty is the word for this place and certainly is their ambiance, interiors and delicious food. This place has packed itself with the food from all around the world and they mail it to the T. The place personally styled and curated by Rocky S himself is my dream place and got to enjoy my birthday dinner here. Tried their cocktail No. 6 which is Gin, Triple Sec, Martini rosso, Martini Bianco, cranberry breezer and smoked Rosemary.. also tried their cocktail no. 21 which is Glenfiddich ( single Malt) with kahlua and espresso. Just some amazement to start with . . . We also ordered their lemongrass infusion and spicy guava mocktails . . For food we tried their ' Istanbul ' which is Lamb Kebabs with Thyme Pita and harissa cacik . Then we tried 'the Beirut' which was mint tangy prawns with quinoa tabbouleh and some greens . Their 'Parma' chicken nachos are one of the best we have had in 2019 . My birthday cake was 'The Sydney' which was a whole salmon fillet -crispy skinned with white beurre blanc sauce and fried taro salad.. One of the best things to have on my birthday. Never had an Australian fresh fish like this ever.. . their desserts : 'Piedmont' and 'The Peru' with 24 carat gold chocolate bar infused with caramel dark chocolate, hazelnut mouss, butter cookies, chocolate shot did not disappoint us at all. In love with this place. This matches a Michelin star restaurant for sure !

Food, Beverages & Services: First of all as their tag line they really have classy collection of Cocktails, Very few mocktails are available with them, as far as food is concerned its amazing, delicious and yummy and they are serving with best services by their staffs (we were served by Suraj Rathi). I'd heard a lot about this place, that it was designed by Rocky S., the famous Indian fashion designer. The place is a culmination of his travels across the world and his love for food. The menu is intricately designed, and so is the furnishings and decor of the place. Everything lives up to the name and the fame - even the bar counter is a suave looking one with good looking glasses, tumblers, and bottles of liquor stockpiled at the back. I went there with a couple of my friends on a week night. We called for a couple of cocktails, I ordered no. 13 which was a whiskey, coffee liqueur, bitters, orange twist, and smoked hickory wood and I absolutely loved the taste and even the presentation. For starters, we ordered the Athens, the Monte Carlo, the Cairo, and the Sienna Pasta. I tried everything and liked most of it, but I absolutely loved the Sienna Pasta. What intrigued me was that all the starters were served with Hummus but the plating and presentation was absolutely fabulous, quite becoming of the plating that I've seen in pictures of Michelin star restaurants. For main course, we ordered the Venice, which was a vegeterian burger and was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the New York and the Antalya, both pizzas - with wafer thin crispy crusts, and tasted great. The we ordered another round of cocktails, and I called for the no. 3 and 16, one of which no. 3 was a bourbon based cocktail and no. 16 was an Irish whiskey based cocktail - and I absolutely loved both of them. Then we called for desserts - the Catalonia, the Peru, and the Piedmont, and I have to admit, these were some of the best desserts that I've had in a very long time. Each dessert was a star in its own right - the plating and the presentation was, again, becoming of a dessert from a Michelin star restaurant.

Rocky Star is all about luxurious dining. The famous designer, Rocky S along with restauranteur, Priyank Sukhija has created this exclusive grandeur luxurious bar. As you enter through the tall doors, you'll find yourself in a completely mesmerizing place altogether. The lavish chandeliers along with rich comfortable soft chairs and sofas, the black and gold decor with mirrors & red curtains screams out nothing but luxury. The staff is well trained and extremely interactive. They just don't shy away from telling you about the whole theme of the bar, the concept behind the menu and so on. Mr. Shailen who was our host for the night was extremely polite & helpful, he made our experience at Rocky Star even more worthy. So definitely an extra brownie point for the courtious staff, who are well versed with the menu also provide a prompt service and completely understands the need of their customers. They have an interesting food and cocktail menu. The food menu is a well crafted intercontinental menu with not just names inspired from the cities of their origin but also these are the dishes which Rocky himself has had a chance to eat on his visit to these places. The cocktail menu is so simple and classy, the coctails are simply numbered so you just have to say the no. against the cocktail which you want. Since the place screams out luxury you are definitely not going to find any domestics here. So let's talk about what we ate and drank here! Cocktails • The no. 27 - This is the best vodka based cocktail which I've had till date. It contains fresh passion fruit and pomegranate juice along with lime juice. And it tastes delicious as its on sweeter side. • The no. 12 - Its a red wine sangria, uniquely served with first adding a slice of orange in the glass and then smoking it up with European herbs & spices, to which wine is added later so that the smokiness sets into the wine. This was definitely the star of the night for me! • The no. 22 - This is an unusual cocktail of whiskey with garam masala infusion along with peach syrup and orange twist. Thus giving you a bitter sweet taste which seems to be just right . • The no. 18 - This was another vodka based cocktail which has fresh pineapple, smoked chillies, coriander, ginger and lime. It is a hot drink which you'll definitely enjoy if you like it spicy! Appetizers • The Monte Carlo, is beautiful presented with the chicken mushroom mousse on the side topped with beetroot relish along side with with petit garlic bread. The mousse is extremely delicious. • The Istanbul, are mouth watering lamb kebabs served along with perfectly cooked thyme pita & harissa cacik. The harrisa cacik adds up to the flavors of the kebabs. • The Amalfi is a delicious seafood platter which will get you drooling. It consists of battered prawns, calamari and flat head fingers which are absolutely fresh and aromatic. Mains • The Sydney, I would highly recommend you to have this, as the salmon tastes godly, the skin being absolutely crisp is best enjoyable with the white wine beurre blanc sauce & onion baristas. • The Mykonas is a wafer pizza which is thin crust based. The pizza happens to be soft & crispy both at the same time. It is loaded with cheddar cheese and topped with roasted chicken. A must have. Desserts • The Peru, this is heaven ! Each element of this dish will get you drooling. It is presentated in the most classy manner. Where in you can enjoy each individual taste or mix them all. If you want to indulge in some heavenly chocolate this is the perfect one for you! • The Catalonia is a classic french creme brulee, which I fell in love with. I would highly recommend you to try this one & ditch the trafitonal chocolate desserts which you love indulging in! Verdict - There is absolutely no reason as to why one wouldn't go to Rocky Star. One must definitely visit Rocky Star to experience the epitome of grandeur and luxury.

I am in love with its decor, ambience and seating, it gives a royal feeling. Coming to the food they serve amazing food. I am highly impressed with its nachos bean. One of the Best Restaurant in town with different kind food from all over the world. Especially cocktails which is made by indian chai syrup and used some spices which perfect combination for the Cocktails.

One of the best places to enjoy amazing cocktails. The music is great, ambience is amazing. We ordered 5 cocktails and all of those were absolute perfection. The food was great too. Defintiely a recommended place for special celebrations.

We visited this place on Monday night, the best part was that we had the whole place to us. The staff is very courteous, the food was pretty good for that price. I would highly recommend wafer pizzas (new york), blue crab pasta and Rhodes dish (vegetarian). We went for partying but stayed there for the calm ambience.

Have been trying to get a reservation from 2 weeks and trying to book for even coming 2 weeks in advance, a lady taking the calls always answers “we do not have availability for general public, we are a private space!”- so now the other 675 people on zomato who have written reviews and been there have clearly been there only on “private parties” then, or else they are lying blatantly!<br/>So very clearly I am being told - you will always find “Rocky Star” being ONLY booked for private parties & events, we cannot promise you we’ll be able to take a reservation at all for you! I called them many times back to back, asking for several different dates, first they ask you okay, Monday what time? Ohh okay, no no... you know what, we are booked!” And they maneuvered the statements so badly, it was evident, they weren’t interested in letting us get a reservation at all!<br/>Not only is this extremely pathetic, it is insultingly ridiculous, if you genuinely do have so many weekdays reserved for private party, atleast suggest WHEN IS YOUR PLACE ACTUALLY AVAILABLE TO “us peasants”, the “general” public as they term us!<br/>And I really want to know as per their statements if they are always booked for private parties and they term themselves as “private” space — HOW did the people who have written reviews on zomato, the 675 people get in?<br/>I really wanted to make sure the guests visiting from western world get the taste of lxuruious Mumbai, but never again I would try to reserve or visit Rocky Star for sure! When you are ready to pay - surely the likes of St.Regis & Four Seasons will treat you as deserved, so as a patron of luxury experiences - for both corporate & personal visits, AVOID being the “general” public of Rocky Star- and visit the actual global luxury hotels in SOBO instead, no dearth of that in Mumbai!

Visited Rocky Star for my office dinner and it was fab. The ambience is the first thing that hits you hard. A chick upmarket look with ample of space to move around . <br/><br/>Talking about the drinks and the starters ... Rocky star has got a lot of choices to select from . Classy and wl decorated with dim lighting. Walkable distance from prabhadevi station. The seating was very comfortable, unique and well designed. You can go to their bar section and watch the preparation of the drink you ordered. The menu was well prepared for something or the other for each and everyone. Also the staff are well informed about their menu and do get their suggestions.

So it's was a Monday and to kill our monday blues we decided to go for dinner and relax a bit. We wanted to try some new place. And we landed upon Rocky star, a classy decor cocktail bar, located in Kamla mills.<br/><br/>Totally loved the classy, dim ambience of the bar. We were welcomed by Sujit with a very warm smile and his expert suggestions really made our experience a great one.<br/><br/>So we started with a mocktail Kaffir ginger which was topped with butterscotch foam and a cocktail called The no. 13 which was a whiskey based cocktail with kahlua, bitter & orange smoked with hickory. We totally loved the concept of naming the cocktails with numbers and not with names, easy to remember, right??<br/><br/>Then we ordered The Istanbul from small plates, smoked lamb kebabs, thyme pita, wild rockets, harrisa cacik with barbecue dust. This tasted really good.<br/><br/>We ordered The Siena from veg menu, simple three cheese penne pasta tasted amazing.<br/><br/>Then came in the best and our favorite part of the course, desserts. We went for The peru which had a 24 carot gold chocolate caramel bar, dark chocolate shot, butter cookies and hazelnut mouse. This is a cool place to hangout with your besties n for date also.it is mainly for bar n cocktail, mocktail. It doesn't have dance floor 😏. Place is specious n well decorated. Staff is nice n courteous. We had the adana,the antalya,spicy guava,the Valencia and nutty Brownie. Food is tasty.We wanted to celebrate my friends birthday sadly they had no cake so the decorated pastry for celebration 😊 with name on it.

The place shares space with Lord of the drinks and Plum where I have been before. All three are lovely places with a lot of dishes and drinks to try.<br/>This cocktail bar was nice as they bring food specialities from various parts of the world.<br/>We tried Instanbul, Houston, and Oslo dishes made with lamb kebabs, chicken nachos and salmon ringettes respectively. Visited really a superb place. The place is really famous for its drinks and even I loved it. The presentation of the drinks is really superb. The drinks taste more awesome with the soothing ambience. They really have a great ambience. I had even eaten some food and trust me the food is really amazing. Rocky Star Cocktail Bar in Lower Parel, Mumbai serves European and Mediterranean dishes .They have an aesthetic decor with magnificent chandeliers which are eye catching. They are knows for their cocktails. They offer toothsome and unique desserts. The staff is very courteous and polite. We were hosted by Sujit and Umesh who were very sweet. The service is prompt and the food is impeccable. We had a lovely time visting this restaurant and would love to visit it again. I had heard a lot about this sensational place from friends. Finally I went there. Decor is so classy. It was passion fruit based. I absolutely enjoyed it. I also ordered Avocado Shake and turned out to be superb.<br/><br/>In appetiser, I ordered The Dijon. Yummilicious Cheese Croquettes going perfect with our drinks. Then I tried Madrid. They were like small mini Pizzas 🍕 with avocado on top.<br/><br/>In mains, I ordered Italian food. Newyork Wafer Pizza - If you like mushrooms then you must definitely try this. The base of the pizza base is a very thin and crispy wafer topped with cheddar cheese which was very very impressive.<br/><br/>2. The Pisa - Porcini Spaghetti Alfredo Pasta with a slice of garlic bread on it's side was an absolute heart stealer. The white sauce was beyond perfection and the mushrooms were perfectly cooked. Highly recommended!<br/><br/>In desserts :<br/><br/>1. The Czech Republic - Warm Classic Bakba with cream topped with blueberry dust was undoubtedly decadent.<br/><br/>2. Peru - I'd heard alot about this dish so I couldn't help but try this and I'm so glad that I did. Rocky Star has a total of 31 cocktails which are not named but numbered from 1 to 31. They have a limited menu options but each dish has a great taste.<br/>Our order was :<br/>¶ Beverages<br/>• Butter Fruit Shake - This mocktail has a sweet taste and one should definately try this. The lychee taste is strong in this which makes it great.<br/>• Spicy Guava - A combination of Guava and pineapple spiced with Green Chilli and Spices. Loved it.<br/>• The No.6 and The No.26 - Both the Cocktails are Gin based, just tasted both the drinks as I don't have alcohol. We first had The Monte Carlo - Never honestly like mushroom. But this dish stands out completely the chicken & mushroom mousse is very creamy in texture. Recently visited this place for unwinding after a long day. Lived the dimly lit place with simple but elegant ambience, comfortable seating and great music. The staff was very courteous and service was prompt. The place specializes in cocktails and they do have a great variety to choose from. A limited food menu but offers the best of dishes. Drinks<br/><br/>We had No. 1, 6, 8 and Kaafir Ginger as the mocktail. No. 1 is a MUST Try guys and so is the Kaafir Ginger. Enjoyed these two a lot!<br/><br/>2. Starters<br/>We tried The Toulouse, Istanbul & Houston.<br/>They were basically Pssto Prawn, Galouti Lamb Kebabs n Chicken Nachos. All of them were pretty good. Not much complaints.<br/><br/>3. Main Course<br/>We had The Venice and the Parma. They were Fried Fried Prawns and Fish as a part of seafood which was amazing and the other was Light Fried Chicken Steak. Both Drinks & Food menu r created with unique names.<br/>The Cocktails are named as Numbers i.e. The No.1 , The No. 2, etc.<br/><br/>The Food is named after various cities around the world.<br/><br/>WHAT I TRIED:<br/>In COCKTAILS - NO. 3 & NO. 27..... In Mocktails tried the SPICY GUAVA.<br/><br/>FOOD:<br/><br/>THE VENICE: Fried seafood - mainly Squid, Fish n Prawns served with sour cream, lemon pickled aioli.<br/><br/>THE ADANA - Chicken Kebabs which were served with Hummus n salsa verde alonside a small portions of Smoked Naan.<br/><br/>Both these were amazing. The ambience of this place is ‘luxury’ and picture-worthy. The servers are really kind. We were full and I just ordered a drink which came out to be too sweet and since it was Zomato Gold, we had ordered two of it. We had one and they were kind enough to change the other drink as we were unable to have it. They got me another tangy one which was very nice. Go for the ambience and service !!!

Rocky Star located in Kamala Mills is one of the most Exotic places i visited. Its solid Black & Gold theme interiors bowled me over. Unfortunately couldn't taste the essence of ginger beer or rose. The flavours of basil didn't come through. Just a lot of smokiness came through as it was presented with smoke under a cloche.<br/>.<br/>3)no 11, another highly intoxicating blend of gin and absinthe. Very strong flavours of cardamom.<br/>.<br/>4)no 30, smooth and flavourful sangria , with a touch of coconut water, white wine, mango and pineapple juices and cut fruits. There were a lot of side elements which were common between the two and thus both after a point tasted the same. So today we visited this place, beginning with the ambience the decor is so elegant and royal totally going to make you fall in love with the place .<br/>Coming to the food and drinks we tried spicy guava and the butter fruit shake very delicious and suited well with the food.<br/>We tried the Florence salad the arrangement of the food is very aesthetic as well as the taste is pretty good, we also tried the Bari pizza and the Istanbul very delicious and pretty heavy dishes good enough for two.<br/>Lastly for desserts we tried the piedmont and Czech Republic, these were really milky and definitely worth trying out

Rocky star cocktail bar, as the name says, its a star place with a wide variety of innovative cocktails and a simple food menu. This place has classy look with beautiful interiors and sofas. Coming to service. Their service is upto mark and quick. the manager umesh is very helpful and courteous. So coming to food we ordered coctail no.13 and lemon grass infusion, the abu dhabi, nacho bean, pizza and for dessert we had the peru, one of the amazing desserts i have ever had, a gold bar with hazelnut mousse, cookies and marshmallows. This was Such a good combination to satisfy our sweet tooth craving. Everything tasted well, quantity and quality of food is enough for two people. The music is very good. A very good place to spend some quality time, surely visiting again.

I’ve visited this place quite a few times and every time I do, the food I had ways delighted me.<br/>The ambience is quite interesting with interiors of gold and black make it very beautiful and the music of the place is lively. Lovely place to unwind after a long day at work. Amazing food and drinks. The staff knows how to give an exceptional service. Had a relaxed time. However it does get a bit too chilly with the air conditioning. But that can be fixed by asking the help full staff.

4.9 piqued my curiosity. And as suspected it didn't live up to the billing. Amazing place, great ambience but the real fun is at LOTD next door where the dance floor is, which has one of the longest bars I have ever seen. Some even say it is the longest in India.<br/>Great place, a bit too expensive though. Stay away from the fancy drinks with all dry ice stuff- they taste bad.<br/>Rest food was great and so was the staff. Must visit for the experience. With those fruity taste balancing the tequila. A perfect one, if you will. We highly recommend this drink.<br/><br/>Spicy Guava: This drink is just the excuse you need to not have alcohol. Drink this and you'll forget that you need alcohol in drinks too.<br/><br/>Lemongrass Infusion: If you like Lemongrass, this is the kind of Mocktail you need to have. It's a perfectly balanced mocktail, not too sweet, nor bland.<br/><br/>FOOD:<br/><br/>The Adana: Chicken Kebabs, just the way we like it, spicy & chunky at the same time, we finished the whole thing in record time.<br/><br/>The Istanbul: We always love Mutton Kebabs, so this minced style kebab totally takes the metaphorical cake for us. Extravagance and luxury ooze in the interiors with the rich and classy black and golds. The design is minimal yet super gorgeous<br/><br/>We had cocktail number 27 and number 12. The passion fruit one and the wine one. Both were superb.<br/><br/>Our server was Bhushan. He did recommend all the best when it came to the food. For mocktails we had the kaffir ginger one and the butter fruit milkshake which was a thick avocado based one. Both again were really good, I liked the ginger one more.<br/><br/>For mains we had the Toulouse, the Morroccon and The Argus. For starters, the prawns were really fresh, juicy and tasty. The mains were this massive portion of rice with three meats. The sauce was exceptionally good. Had the Piedmont and Peru for dessert. Both were exceptionally delightful.

Rocky Star Cocktail Bar is one the most rich decor and high class interior restaurants of mumbai. The entry of the restaurant itself says about its richness. Its in the Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel and the outlet has Valet parking too.<br/><br/>It is easiy accessible from Lower parel station as well as from Dadar Station. The outlet have very courteous staff and the hospitality served by them was just polite and recommendable. The place is known for its rich ambience and well presented drinks and food.<br/><br/>So we started from some lipsamcking cocktails like the no. 13 which is whiskey based infused with kahlua and orange smoked with hickory. The drink was too strong and somkey and had some good flavours to it. Also tried The no. 11 cocktail which was Gin based with flambeed absinthe and cardamom liqueur. Both of tge drinks were well presented as well as tasted good.<br/><br/>In food they have each country based specials in their food menu so tried The Dubai which was hummus served with roasted garlic flakes and lavash. The hummus was too good in taste. Also had The Adana which is smoked chicken kebabs served with hummus and salsa verde. The kebabs were well grilled and smokey toch to it was just awesome. Moving towards mains ordered The Siena the best italian penne pasta ever tried made of three cheese. Lights, chandeliers, table set-up everything looks so expensive and adds up to your experience <br/>Umesh was super humble server.<br/>Staff in general is very kind. Right from the hostess to all the servers people arevery corteous.<br/>This place is a bit of expensive but its worth every penny you spend.<br/>Most recommend and one thing that yo just SHOULDNT miss is the dessert. Another amazing thing to try here is wafer pizza. The crust is super thin and crunchy. <br/>In dessert i tried "THE PERU" and the pizza was "THE BARI" <br/>I tried "THE BACELONA" which was potato based starter, and how delicious was this.<br/>In drinks i would recommend the lemongras infusion while you can easily skip butterfruit milkshake.<br/>
