Loved the entire Christmas ambience there. Nicely decorated place with Christmas decor. Enjoyed the choice of red and white wine. The Veg lasagne ordered was made to the point. They could however increase their choice of wine

Loved the Melon Salad. Was fresh and tasty too. I liked the service and courtesy extended by the folks there. The menu is crisp and has food that satisfies every pallet . They have some nice bread that is served on the side which is tasty and fresh. You should make it a point to dine here.

If one is looking for a authentic Italian cuisine without the obvious pizzas Salt Water Cafe is a place to visit. Try their Wasabi Skewers in starters and their Ratatouille from the main course. Definitely end the sumptuous meal with their Banofi Pie. The service can be improved.

Good place, food is also interesting. Foreigners frequent this place, maybe seem a bit costly but quality is worth it. And when the staff says the food is sufficient for only one, you should actually trust them.

The perfect place for a good breakfast on a Saturday. Not crowded, great service and great food. The chocolate chip waffles worth a try for all waffle lovers. The SWC Benedict eggs again a winner of a dish with beautifully cooked eggs and mushroom ragu. SWC one of the few places which serves all meals and the food is right up there. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner if you are in the mood for some good Continental food just go ahead and book a table at SWC.

A very pleasant ambience. Interiors are aesthetically designed. I love the all wooden interior which gives you a very different feeling. Food was delicious and service was fast. It seems to be a popular place with foreigners. It has outdoor sitting arrangements also which is a delight after 9. P.M. as cool sea breeze without traffic make your mood good. Overall a great experience.

Nice cosy place to have some really good food near queen’s necklace,mumbai. I visited this place for first time but really loved the food and beverages, Specially Polenta crusted chicken and the hot chocolate fondant that we ordered. It was just awesome. The quantity and quality of food was really good. Place is very clean and tidy. The only thing I didn’t like is the way manager(I guess he was manager) and waiter was behaving with each other. The manager was arguing with one of the waiter(I guess he was new in cafe) in front of so many customers. Which doesn’t look good at least to me. That was really bad and the worst thing was that after some time that waiter just left and manger was trying to stop him in at cafe main door which was really embarrassing. It made me and my wife feel very uncomfortable to seat in cafe. Overall must visit if you are at queen’s necklace.

So this place near churchgate station is purely for european cuisine... Woody and cozy ... U can either sit out or u can it in AC section... On weekends waiting can be upto 40 mins... The ambience is really beautiful .. I choose to be in AC section ... Where in I order for whisky which I got 2+2 in zomato gold... Accompanied by a chicken penne pasta in white sauce with sun-dried tomato's and olives and Parmesan... And a chicken burger ( don't remember name though ).. u can try risotto as well as ... I loved the pasta .. it comes is enough quantity ...N burger was juicy tooo... But u won't find anything spicy here if u are one of those freaks... It all menu has subtle taste... one disappoint was they don't serve jack Daniels ... But over all food experience was amazing... Visit once for sure...

Everything is just so good here. The food is exceptional. I really like this place. Burger was okay tho. The pasta with jalapeño white sauce and the chicken in balsamic sauce is just SO NICE. the pasta is for 2+ people. Couldn’t finish it between me and my mom.

On my trip to Mumbai in raining Mumbai Monsoon we were roaming around in Gateway .. Marine Drive.. were wet n hungry and suddenly saw this place on d way from Churchgate to Marine Drive .. Must say it's a cozy fine Dine option .. ambience is pretty amazing .. food options were mouth watering .. it's a Wonderful place to visit for good food .. serve from coffe to beer and wines .. serve snacks to main course.. enjoyed football world cup with side snacks and coffee ... Must visit .. awesome place ...

Had been there with my cousins for my Birthday Dinner. Had ordered spicy chicken wings and Polenta Crusted Chicken. Each had a varied specfic taste. <br/>Had ordered risotto for the main course. The taste i still remember and the chicken just melted in the mouth. i think its a bit expensive as they can still explore and innovate with the dishes they have to offer.

Went here after reading the reviews but was highly disappointed. The service was slow and food was far below average. The serving size was very less too.

Ambience is Good. Also located in an Easily Accessible location. Food was Good but not Great. Also the Staff is Good with faster Service. Good for one who is looking around for some Drinks with little food.

Price is very very high compared to quality of food. Okays ambiance. Restaurant needs to add more varieties in menu especially for Veg. Chicken was not soft and properly cooked.

I had quite a few experiences here. One thing has been common in all these is the beer I love so much- white owl diablo. Their brew has a better taste of the same than I have had anywhere else which is quite weird 😅. The food is average. Not a big fan but the staff is excellent! All in all what makes me keep going back is the warm staff and the beer.

It’s really the best banofee pie I’ve found in Mumbai. It’s so so nice. Ordered it many times. It’s definitely better when it’s fresh and when it’s cold 😍😍😍

I am here to talk about the steak and the ganache cake.<br/><br/>Nothing less of amazing. Medium Rare steak, amazingly prepared. Pink through the center with a hint of redness, with well browned exterior, a stellar steak throughout, albeit, a buffalo one.<br/><br/>My only gripe is the spice rub. That's kinda unnecessary. Doesn't do much for the steak. Would love a simple garlic, butter and thyme touch to it, since the steak in itself is very well prepared.<br/><br/>The Ganache Cake served with a scoop of ice cream is nothing less than dish of sinful decadence. It pretty much dissipates as soon as put a spoonful in your mouth. It's sweet but not too sweet, just the right amount to compliment the bitter chocolate. The ice cream is simply the proverbial icing on the cake.<br/><br/>Do try these two..

Visited the place on the night of a dry day which explained why it was deserted. For a minute, thought they were closed but they were more than happy to accommodate us. They did rush is a little as they were approaching closing time but we still had a ball. The assortment of beads and crackers we were offered was amazing. Shoutout for that cracker sprinkled with flax seeds! The food itself was to die for. We started with The Plum Mocktail, which was right parts sweet and bitter. My friend had a veg ravioli dish which was so buttery, it melted in the mouth. I had seared chicken legs with a side of roast potatoes, which was the best thing ever. The portion sizes are great for one person, considering we were famished and couldn't finish the whole thing by ourselves.

I had been here on my birthday night. After exploring marine drive, I headed to this beautiful cafe. The ambience was cosy, perfect for dinner. Service was amazing. Loved their pastas. Do try - asparagus ravioli with burnt garlic emulsion. Would wish to visit this place again. 🤗😊

Visited this place for Evening with friends. Had a Cafe Mocha, Bianca Chamomile Tea, and Cappuccino all hot beverage are refreshed. We made a reservation a few days in advance for my uncle's birthday. On arrival we were informed that the person we made the reservation with was off that day and that apparently there was no reservation made by us according to the restaurant. If we wanted place we would need to wait for 30 minutes. Disappointing for a place that we are regulars at.

Salt Water Cafe has been in Bandra for some time now, but I haven't visited the Churchgate outlet yet. I was in for a treat. What better way to satisfy my hunger carvings post the Mumbai Marathon, than at this place.<br/><br/>Ambience: Located literally a 2 minute walk away from Churchgate Train station, SWC is bang on the main road and like most restaurants in town is spacious and welcoming. There is both an outdoor sitting area along with an interior area. We choose to sit outside and soak up the Sun rays on a cold Sunday morning in January. The outlet also has a washroom facility.<br/><br/>Food: Since we came for breakfast, we tried the cinnamon french toast with glazed banana. This was both tasty and beautifully plated. A must try for anyone who loves french toast. Sinfully good.<br/><br/>Apart from the yummy sweet french toast, We also tried the 3 egg omlette. There are a number of different varieties to choose from, such as chicken and cheese, protein fix( 3 types of chicken ham and salami).<br/><br/>Each omlette comes with a tomato, hash browns and toast. Thoroughly enjoyable.<br/><br/>The Zomato gold drink offer will also get you 2 plus 2 on coffee as well so take full advantage of this.<br/><br/>Service: Quick service and minimal time waiting for the food.<br/><br/>All in all a great meal, in a nice environment. Birthday Breakfast 🍳 <br/><br/>I was here for breakfast with my husband and sister on my birthday, the place was almost empty, just another table except for us in the restaurant. <br/><br/>We ordered fluffy egg, and Barbeque chicken omelette and masala omelette along with bagel with cream cheese 🥯 chocolate croissant 🥐 and cappuccino.<br/><br/>Overall the food was good, service was prompt, eggs were served with toast, hash brown and pan tomato, we didn’t like the bagel it was cold and heavy kind of bulky to eat. Chocolate croissant was yum and so was the coffee. <br/><br/>We paid about 2k for a breakfast for 3 which seems fine to splurge for a birthday breakfast 😊<br/><br/>Overall 3/5<br/>

Great ambience and heart warming customer service, they served us with few hard drinks and French fires which was really tasty, they communicated in the most polite manner and took care of customers nicely, humble and friendly staff and really great place to visit with Friends, Family, and loved ones.

Been to this place a couple of time and loved it through out.<br/>Ambience- was cozy with an beautiful yellow lighting and sports screening. They have both outdoor and indoor sittings. On top that, cozy old style jazz music plays in the background.<br/>Food- was phenomenal. The grilled chicken we had was so tender and juicy. The chicken pieces was fatty, delicate and extremely delicious. Fries we had are one of the best regular fries I ever had.<br/>As I don't consume alcohol, I ordered a mocktail 'beat the heat' which was ok. But for people who like their booze they three amazing cocktails from a selected list at just 800/- and various other options in bar menu.<br/>Overall, what a delight .. will visit again and recommend for sure.

After you are done exploring Marine Drive, Salt Water Cafe is a nice place to head to. My boyfriend and I were looking for a cosy restaurant to have dinner on the 1st of Jan after spending some time by the sea. This was my second time at a Salt Water Cafe. I had been to the one at Bandra a couple of years ago.<br/><br/>We ordered a plate of cavatelli (a type of hollow shell-like pasta). This came in a green-coloured sauce which was made of capsicum-puree (as per our server). Our dish had some green and yellow zucchini and pecorino cheese. Even though I loved the flavours, my partner found it a tad too buttery. The sauce needed a bit of mixing because the green parts of the sauce seemed to be separate from the translucent bits.<br/><br/>To make sure my date was happy, we ordered another pasta - their regular penne in white sauce. (Penne in cheese sauce is my man's favourite). This turned out to be too heavy for us, as we were already stuffed with the cavatelli. So, we had a few forkfuls and got the rest packed. This version of penne did not impress me, though. The taste was a little off, although I enjoyed nibbling on the olives.<br/><br/>The complimentary bread platter which arrived before our meal had crackers and soup sticks in addition to their house-baked breads.<br/><br/>Coming to the ambience, the place still had their Christmas decor and it looked quite festive and warm. I think I'll come back here to try more things from their menu before passing the final verdict.

Visited this place for Sunday dinner. Ambiance and service is excellent. Jalapeno cream penne was good, quantity was decent. Veg smoked scamorza burger was ok, had smoky flavour but crunch was missing, could have been much better. Also could improve in presentation.Overall ok experience, not value for money.

Took my parents out for dinner here. Gorged on the food and the wine, loved both. Walking down to marine drive after dinner is another plus point.

This was my first visit to salt water cafe as I wanted to enjoy the ambience. It's situated near churchgate station. Cool, calm place for a perfect date. Visited there on 29th Dec to enjoy a quality time with family.<br/><br/>We really liked the ambience as it was still reminding us of Christmas and welcoming the new year.<br/><br/>Coming to the order<br/><br/>* Wasabi Grilles Cottage Cheese<br/>I am a fan of paneer and can have it any day any number of time. It was finely grilled and served with a sauce. Mustard sauce on top of it gave me little uneasiness though for few seconds.<br/>I give it 3.5 on 5.<br/><br/>*Jalapeno Cream Penne Pasta<br/>It was one of the best penne pasta I have ever had till date. One of the worst manager i got to meet who doesn't have basic human courtsey. They don't let people use their washroom even after it being a government regulation..We literally have to spell out to them that they can't refuse washroom access as they keep on lying that our washroom is super packed with people in waiting(washroom turned out to be deserted).<br/><br/>That said, i never want to step in that restaurant again to eat anything. One of the worse places i was unfortunate enough to visit on new year's eve.

I like the food and the atmosphere. I like the way they got those bread platter while one waits for the food. Overall it was a good restaurant.

I visited this place just for desserts. I had the warm cheesecake and chocolate ganache cake. Both desserts were really good in terms of taste and texture although I felt they were a little overpriced. The ambience of the place and overall service was great!

Salt Water Cafe is one of my favourite places in all of South Bombay! The food is really good, the ambiance is soothing, and the hospitality is great! The location, of course, is often what drives people in, but you stay for the food. <br/><br/>On my most recent visit, I ordered Eggs Benedict with Norwegian Smoked Salmon and I loved it to bits! I generally order this dish at my stays in hotels, but Salt Water Cafe stole my heart with its excellent preparation. In the mains, I would recommend the Grilled Peppercorn Chicken, or anything really, because whatever I have had here has been pretty well made. <br/><br/>I am yet to work my way through the dessert menu, but I will hopefully do that soon. <br/><br/>That's all for now. Salt water cafe is one of my favourite places, but I was a little disappointed. Disappointment was based on the high standards of experience I’ve had in the other outlets. So starting off we ordered the Open Veg grill sandwich, Lemon peppercorn chicken and the chicken legs. Now there was a slight mix up in our order where instead of a open sandwich a panini was served. The staff were very courteous through this and went ahead and prepared the dish ordered but it took a further 20 mins so our veg friend had to stare at our faces while the meal was getting prepared. I ordered the Lemon peppercorn chicken, and was disappointed. The presentation was good but the chicken was very chewy. My friend’s chicken leg was much better. It was nicely prepared. So after we were done with our meal the sandwich arrived which was very nice. So overall I’d say the food was good but just the sequence of events led to an average meal experience. Like I said the reason for a 3 star was the experience level set by other outlets, but I will definitely give this one another go whenever I’m around that side. Happy munching 🍻

The service is extremely slow. Though there were barely 5 customers. It was a sad experience. My next table got up and left the place because of the service.

Salt water cafe is located very close to the church gate station.A very well known and famous cafe for it's sea food dishes. In love with it's ambience. I went here for dinner with my friend and we ordered Rawas fish and king fish just loved the taste it was damn yum never tried such unique taste ever.

I am a regular at salt water cafe Bandra . This was my second visit at the Churchgate branch. When we called for the server and politely requested him to plug my phone charger and also asked him to get the menu, we were rudely told that "he is very busy and doesn't have time for all these things." Er...not the kind of "fine dining experience" I was looking for

Close proximity to churchgate station , this place offers nice cozy ambience and courteous staff. The food is simply amazing in taste and presentation. Mushroom risotto , poha crusted prawns and apple pie are some of the must try dishes.

We tried the potato wedges - nicely made, Spanish omlette- flight, big, tasty and filling, fried rice with quoina- healthy, tasty and served in good quantity and the scrambled eggs- a simple dish yet so fluffy and tasty. This place is heaven for egg lovers although they do have vegetarian options- we ordered the veggie burger and were not disappointed.

We were here for a casual dinner with friends on Saturday night. They have a decent ambience and the music was at a good volume where conversation becomes possible on the table. Food is tasty and upto the mark. However we were not satisfied with the service. Food was being served late everytime. When we asked for water it took them a while to get that too. The table after the main course was not cleared for deserts. They charge you 10% service charge on top of your bill and add taxes to the charges as well. For this type of service I wouldn't pay that much ever. So saltwater please improve your service and then ask for your hefty service charge.

I've been crossing this place for a while now, always wondering one day I'll go here. Well last night a friend and I ended up here and I'm so delighted we did. We just ordered mains for ourselves. I'll speak for myself, I ordered the Buckwheat Crepe with Roasted Vegetables and Parmesan Fondue Sauce. It was one of the best crepes I've had till date. I could taste every flavour distinctly as I took every bite. <br/><br/>Moreover the subtle ambience of the place adds to the experience of dining here. Will surely recommend this place to everyone. :)

I've always loved the ambience of this place. It has delicious burgers and servers Bira. Nice relaxed place to catch up with friends. Also, the fact that you can walk down to marine drive after nice hearty meal, makes this the perfect place to spend the evening.

Went for Sunday lunch with my wife and kids to start I like the ambience also the service was good we ordered Penne in pink sauce which was good also prawns and calamari agolio which was very good along with pan seared Salmon again good but some how the veg burger or the caramelised onions and goat cheese on flat bread was just ok ......over how the vegetarian people won’t enjoy much but the non veg would .......so if you eat the later go ahead

Location of this place is the number one reason i end up going to this place more often I have to meet someone in town. Very close to the railway station. They serve all-day with different options. Food is tasty. Service is good. Overall a good experience and can be on your list to go if Ur around in this location

Been here two three times. The food earlier was really average but after i heard about it’s menu changes I revisited and it turned out to be so much better! We loved the variety of cold pressed juices, beef burger and the fish !

Being European cuisine setup the option provided for food are not much. Lasagne was only veg and no non veg option. But it was good. 4 cheese risotto was okay not that great.

I recently developed my love for "John Dory" after I visited this place. I ordered a "Pan Seered John Dory". Being a salmon fan, This was something different and very well prepared and served. Crispy on the surface and juicy from within, They serve it with risoto which perfectly blends with the taste.<br/><br/>I also ordered a plum mocktail which was refreshing altogether after a long day at work.<br/>A bit pricy on its part, but altogether a strongly recommended place to eat!

Wanting a relief from the hot weather and something tasty to drink we decided to try out tye Saltwater Cafe.<br/>Really good ambience. Perfect place to have a nice dinner or lunch.<br/><br/>Good service. Salt water cafe is place to visit just for its ambience and location.<br/>I tried ordering chicken lasagne but the restaurant serve lasagne in veg only. Hence no option left and considering my love for lasagne, I ordered Baked veg lasagne and chicken open grill sandwich came in for the rescue for my non veg craving. Overall, the food is good but not great. Out of the two chicken open grill sandwich was better tasting but messy (considering it’s an open sandwich).<br/>PS: Order extra serving of the French fries as they are irresistibly good.<br/>

Right after an hour long train journey, me and my friend were looking for a quite place to chill and tame our hunger pangs at. Since we both had heard good things about this place, we decided we would treat ourselves to lunch here, which was actually really convenient too as it is about 5 mins of walking distance away from the Churchgate railway station.<br/><br/>The ambience at this place is pretty much what I live for, the dim moody lights definitely set up a great evening feel even during broad daylight.<br/><br/>We were served an assortment of bread with butter (complimentary) before our food arrived. This was much appreciated by a bread lover like me, so needless to say that I devoured all of it. Our order however comprised of Virgin Mojitos, Baked Vegetable Lasagna and rosemary potatoe wedges. Food was great, however my only discomfort was with the fact that the potatoes were a little too drenched in oil.<br/><br/>Overall it was a good experience here, definitely will be coming back here for more.<br/>

For whatever they offer (ambiance, food, Location) i think they are overpriced by good 30% at minimum.<br/>Hence the reason you easily get seat these days there on Friday evening. It's competition are offering better experience. Service is little slow. Food is ok. Portions are average.<br/>

We walked in late and the restaurant was shutting down. We told the staff we will only have drinks and they were accommodating. We got our drink order quickly. The freshly squeezed orange juice served with the white rum was superb. Will come back to try the food someday.

One of the best cafes near marine drive is salt water cafe. They are amazing with the food they serve. Must try sausages here. This place has all wooden interiors and is a good place for some good time with company with whom you want to have conversation.

Visited saltwater cafe some time back. Had a very good experience. The ambience is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating and the food is delicious. I loved the mashed potatoes, though they were in the side of something, but great food!

This place is located near Pizza by the Bay outlet. This place is small but the space is well utilised. It has outdoor seating as well as indoor seating options. The seats are cozy and comfortable. We were driving around Kala Ghoda at 11.30pm and looking for a place that would serve us eggs at that late hour. When I called up salt water cafe they were very inviting and we simply drove there. <br/><br/>What I had?<br/>Spanish omelette and holy detox tea. <br/><br/>What I liked the most?<br/>They have a wonderfully extensive eggs and tea menu <br/><br/>What I thought?<br/>I definitely enjoyed my meal and tea. Though I didn’t find their staff to be professional or well behaved. On 2 occasions I caught him staring at me which I found very distasteful. It got to the point that I had to finally move seats midway through my meal. No pictures for this meal as my phone had got discharged and gone off.

Wonderful ambiance, good service. However there are not much vegetarian options in Starters. Menu is very limited. This needs some improvement.

Been there post 10.30 pm on Sunday hence may be the place had a just a handful of people. What I liked is the seating arrangement and the serenity of the place. The lighting is not too dark not too glowing...very decent. Plus point is the music is played very softly so that you can actually continue your conversation without being disturbed by the blaring music. Coming on the food side we had already had our dinner so just went for the cheesecake...It was too filling and yummy. Will surely visit for a full course meal.

Been to this place a while ago along with a friend and had a great experience. The decor is beautiful and the place is quite spacious. The food and drinks are slighlty on the higher end but that is bound to happen because of the location and top class service which they offer.

Loved the hospitality and were treated with utmost care and respect so full marks on that. Ordered the polenta crusted chicken for staters, seared basa and grilled peppercorn chicken for main course and flourless chocolate fudge. Absolutely loved everything we ordered and it was a treat for taste buds.

Amazing place with great ambience, walking distnce from marine drive. They have very well designed seating space with prompt and courteous service. The only good thing about the restaurant is that they serve decent cocktails. The waiter who was serving us had to be called all the time as he was looking busy when the restaurant wasn’t. The food was not up to the mark at all. Sandwich & chicken starter was ok. Pasta sucked to an another level. One the worst pastas, I have ever had in my life. Also the prices were too high for such low quality of food. Totally disappointed with the place. Never visiting it ever.<br/>P.S. I am giving one star just to post my review.

A cute little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Slightly cramped up but has a beautifullu rustic appeal to the place. <br/>We decided to sit upstairs inside, and it felt nice to look down to a bar stocked with good Wine. <br/>This is the one place where the Golden Sparrow Sangiovese is still available, I recommended trying that wine. <br/>The Arabiata and Chicken Bacon Burger we called for were unfortunately not up to the mark. <br/>I wouldve wanted more vegetables in my pasta and the sauce to be a little thicker. The pasta was cooked well. <br/>The burger tasted good but the cheese needed to be layered out well so as to be available in every bite. For the size I believe it was a little pricey. <br/>The fries that came with tasted good but got cold very fast maybe because they were served on the flat wooden plate. <br/>The service was quick and staff were friendly.<br/>The music and ambiance was quite to my liking. A perfect dinner place.

Great food and great ambience. Walking distance from churchgate station and stone's throw from marine drive, this one kicks ass when it comes to steaks. Loved the house spiced tenderloin and lamb stew. Am not too fond of couscous but I devoured the couscous and all! The wine selection is quite fine too. Next time am in Mumbai, will definitely go back for a bite. Oh, they're friendly to solo women diners as well, no awkwardness :)

It was my first visit here and I liked the whole experience. It's an apt place for formal and informal dinner. Great service, well mannered staff. We tried chicken leg porcini and lamb stew both were delectable.Hazelnut mousse cake was outstanding. Unlimited sangria and three cocktail offer are value for money.

We visited this place on last Saturday night, place was full at that time, waited for sometime at last we got the table, we had baked vegetable lasagna, Melon feta salad and tiramisu all were exceptionally well. They also serve some really good craft beers, but their three cocktail offer is the winner. Service was impeccable. Worth a visit.

THe lasagna was good. In fact brilliant. The cold coffee is water like. I ordered a chicken burger was OK. I loved the tiramisu more than the hazelnut mousse.

A nice ,quiet and calm place to sit and talk and relax.The ambience is quite peaceful ,there we had warm cheesecake and it was melting in mouth .A recommended place to go.

I’ve been here before, and have had a wonderful experience overall. This rating is specifically for an extremely dry, unpalatable chocolate muffin that I picked up a few days ago. If I’m shelling out ₹130 for a muffin, I expect it to be hella moist and slightly warmed atleast, this was almost difficult to swallow. So disappointed!

Went here for a couple of sangrias before heading someplace else so this review is just for the sangria. Being a sangria fan, I was delighted to find out that they had 7 8 different types of sangrias as compared to the standard 2 or 3 that most places offer. They did not have thyme so we could not try the pomegranate and thyme sangria. Instead we had the melon sangria which had white wine and the peach plum one with brut. Both were refreshing, well flavoured and quite heady. Would like to visit again to try the rest.
