Review Tiqri - Mumbai

Indradeep Roy
Located inside Taj Santacruz it’s known for its buffet spread. Thus we decided to visit on a special occasion. I liked the restaurant as it was illuminated by natural light and I always have a fascination for green structures. The portrait of a large tree made of steel catches the attention as you get in the restaurant. The buffet spread is incredible and it had everything that I would have thought off. Complete value for money and if someone has huge appetite then it’s more than value for money 😁 The only suggestion would be to get rid of the small plastic bottle water and replace by glass bottles where patrons can pour water themselves saving unwanted wastage of water and reduce plastic footprint. Definitely a great place to celebrate special occasion

The dining experience was top-notch, with a diverse menu and delicious food. The amenities, including the spa and pool, were relaxing and well-maintained. A truly indulgent and memorable stay—I highly recommend Tiquiri 5 Star Hotel for a luxurious and enjoyable experience!

I recently visited this family restaurant, and it exceeded my expectations. The warm and inviting atmosphere made it perfect for a family outing. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The menu offered a variety of delicious options for all ages, and the food was both flavorful and well-presented. Prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the quality. I highly recommend this restaurant for families looking for a delightful meal together.

An all day dining restaurant at Taj Santacruz, Tiqri is in on the first floor and in the centre area of the hotel and your surrounded by all the rooms. Its quite big rectangular shaped restaurant. Ambience is nice but there is no natural light. The service is good but there is room for improvement. The food is good nothing exceptional. The buffet certainly can be more elaborate. When we went there was live music. Overall a decent experience, if your expecting Taj Mahal Hotel Colaba or Taj Landsend Bandra experience then you can give this a skip.

Zishin Restaurant Manager Uday, Duty Manager Mr. Chinmay n Mr. Tanmay Gaurav from restaurant , darshana n everyone from the reception Desk was really helpful. Food of the Taj is the Best. Went recently and i must commend Rupesh, Shivam and Tanay for their alertness and quick attention to our gestures even! they helped us order the right quantities and made the experience great! Food : it’s a different buffet with many novel items: full marks for the experience and experimentation Ambience: lovely! Service : umm a tad slow! 3 out of 5 is being kind They did get their act together after a while The white wine served came from South Africa and was dry and excellent! Unfortunately the name escapes me! Elephant something... The Sangria though was a let down! Had to set it aside! Just order simple red wine folks. The starters good but did not relish the paneer much. Even in the main course it did nothing for me. Liked their health station and the spectacled chef behind it, courteous and helpful! Made me a great salad and batter fried broccoli and potatoes The cheese counter and the dishes next to it were great esp the one with couscous! Took a double serving The mushroom chestnut preparation looked scary but made up in taste! Their curd rice too was good It being a veg day I did not taste the fish or chicken but my friend appreciated them Had a great time

Tiqri - Taj Santracruz(Airport). Dinner buffet can be booked via online app where you can easily get great discount. It is located at the center of the hotel as on all three sides rooms are available and one wall has huge tree painting/art on it. Coming to the food there are literally n number of food items available from stater to dessert. But for starter only three dishes were served which was a little disappointing, all the 3 of them very tasty especially mutton kebab😋. Main also had around many options from saefood, poultry etc. Dessert was 😍😍. There was around 15 desserts served all of them were extremely good. Overall a very good buffet experience.

When I was searching for a nice place to dine in I got this recommendation from a friend of mine and the way he told me I thought he was making up stories But after tasting the food I felt what ever he told is less Food is simply awesome

Taste to perfection. Indian cuisine and Tiqri goes hand in hand. Vilayti Handi, Paneer Tikka, Dal Makhni, Jeera Rice, Oreo Shake, Mexican Platter and more.... What else can you ask for a fab lunch. Portion Size is apt, coupled with Double Chilli Naan and Garlic Naan.. wish I would have another stomach to fill it up and relish entire day..

Very nice place to visit. The food was also good. The staff was very polite ambience was awesome.

After the wonderful experience at their Italian restaurant Rivea..this was a disappointing outing. Staff is unattentive and looks disinterested. Sandwich that we ordered was quite regular although the price was over the roof. And just the vibe of the place seemed dull, considering it was tea time. Of course, the fact that every corridor of the hotel looks down on this robs one of all privacy, and that is the most irritating part I think. Does not warrant a second visit at all.

Recently we visited to Taj for dinner buffet. The ambience was impressive. Live music was double plus point with luxury ambience. Staff is decent and helpful.

We were having lot of options for food. Every dish was fresh and attractive. But less option for starter we have to contact staff for starter which was included in pack but still. And mocktails or any soft drinks were not included in package.

They have given too many options for non veg and it was too good. At last we end up with desserts for which I have uploaded pictures please have a look.

I was totally impressed by the ambience of the place and live music during the buffet. It was one of the most lively lunch buffet i had alongwith special table booking arranged by Staff by name "Prakash".Thanks for giving me good time today.

Tiqri is a place for people who very specific about fine quality of food and service. A luxury ambience will surely make your visit worthwhile. Tiqri is located near Sahara Star Hotel. Every dish in North Indian and Continental Cuisine is of finest taste and is served to diners after a 24*7 fine work that Chefs put in. The Premium menu is in line with people of varied tastes and preferences. The kind team will add on to the overall dining experience and all diners will surely have a great time.

I recently visited Tiqri to experience The experience of culinary capital of Punjab, Amritsar which is known to have delighted the palates of many with its savory and buttery flavours. A treasure trove of gourmet delights, Amristari cuisine has undeniably created its own niche. Bringing together authentic flavours from the most revered city, Tiqri enthrall guests with an enticing menu capturing the aromas discovered in the nooks and corners of the Amritsar.

The specially crafted menu features Pepey Wale Chole, Sarson Ka Saag, Atta Murg, Saag Gosht, Amritsari Kulfa Falooda, Chiraunji Makhane Ki Kheer, Amritsar Special Lassi and many more delights.

The Tikri was my most disappointing Taj experience ever . We reached at around 9 PM had Pre booked a table . All tables were empty on a Saturday night . With music blaring we wanted to seat away . Surprisingly the hostess mentioned to us that all tables are booked and offered only a table we did not like . On requesting we were told by the lady there are 38 guests booked . We still insisted and the manager says 50 guests booked . Finally we mentioned we would get up from the corner table if the guests arrived . Surprisingly all tables were empty throughout the entire evening until we left at 12 .
The buffet shuts down at 11.30 PM the live counter more than hr earlier .
The starters were limited served on table . And the main course very passé . Had to keep going round and round to see if you liked something . A far cry from the others like JW buffet .
We had a Taj voucher and we checked with them for using it before seating ourselves . However while clearing the bill they said there was a technical problem . This is not the first time for a bad experience here hence decided to highlight it finally . If you want a Taj experience there are other options in Mumbai .

Less number of stars are more for limited spread and more importantly disappointing experience. The taste was good. I loved the malpua and kulcha cholle. But the options were very limited. We were out for our office new year lunch and were a big gang of around 30 people. The staff in general were courteous and reflecting Taj hospitality. But had a disappointing experience with one of the manager (Mr. Uday -I guess) who was ill mannered and doesnt know how to talk to anyone let alone guests.

We went for a Diwali dinner and to our surprise there was live music playing which was sweet and melodious and pleasant to hear. Both the singers were talented. The staff was very friendly.Their manager Rohit even treated us to complimentary desserts from the buffet for the occasion of Diwali .Very heart touching gesture of theirs really appreciate it.Hospitality at the best.Kudos👍🏻

Went to this place for dinner yesterday...
The food was pretty good here...
Liked the live music as well...
The service needs improvement though.

We ordered:-
Tomato soup(huge qty)
Lemon coriander soup(average)
Mexican platter(must try)
Paneer sabzi which was pretty average
Butter roti
Risotto (not good very thick)
Pad thai(horrible)

They gave us desserts from the buffet in the end which was a kind gesture by them.
Overall the place is good and live music just makes it better...
Pricing is a bit on the higher side which is bound to be as it is taj!!!!
Had been here for my birthday last week, could say that was the best choice. The menu here is quite exciting. Tried a Soup ' Cream of Celery and Chicken' which i loved the most. Must try Murg Biriyani its has perfect blend of flavours. Thai curry, i would rate it 4\5, it came with chicken, prawns and veggies and was delicious.
Staff is so professional. What to say about the ambiance, thats just amazing. Also the live music playing there made the mood even more happy.

chef atul was very kind to provide us with a special request preparation... and attender sohail was extremely joyful... .. made our evening even more special with a complimentary cake

Have an occasion to celebrate an occasion, a special moment or just relax and chill with friends/family. This is the correct fine place for anyone.

Food

Tried their dinner buffet, the spread is wide with different cuisine Lebanese, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Mughlai, Indian and good desserts and ice creams to end it. Need more options for Vegetarian apart from salads.

Ambiance

Cool, calmed, composed and cosy. Quiet place with friendly staff. Since, the brand Taj is attached, its understandable on Ambiance part.

Location

Near to Domestic airport, but bit difficult to locate.

Overall, a good experience with elegance and class. Would definitely visit again for different occasions.

Very bad place, the duty manager Mr Ruben is very ill mannered person and does not know how to talk
The food, paneer tikka has no taste, and all vegetables are extremely spicy.
Worst customer service and disgrace on Taj group

The buffet is pretty average. Its primarily continental and north indian. The menu and options need a fresh look and a redesign. Options in the buffet are very ordinary and does not measure up to overall taj and fine dining standards. Knowing the mgt will take reviews seriously, the overall standard needs to go up. Like the layout, view and comfortable seating. Staff needs training. Looks like a lot of interns are backing the operation. Lot of staff movement seen in the restaurant particularly sales folks i guess. A lot of unwanted staff in short. This outlet has the potential to go up in rating as all the basic stuff are there and a plan needs to be put in place and executed. Focus areas food and service with attention.

So if there was less than 1 star option I would give it. I went out with my husband to have a coffee on Sunday evening. So we were informed that couldn’t serve us coffee in the lounge area so finally we decide to take a drink. I ordered a moctail and my husband ordered a beer. The moctail was really sad but the peanuts they offered were so bad. No salt. It was as if raw peanuts were kept for us. So we paid around 1500 for that horrible drink and the worst peanuts ever. So Taj you have seriously let us down. You can’t be calling yourself a 5 star with this horrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend anybody to this restaurant.

This is a long pending review however I had to write it as the staff at Tiqri and China Inc (Taj Santacruz) were exceptional not only in providing excellent food (as my daughter has Juvenile Diabetes and is insulin dependent... so her food options are pretty limited) but also provided exceptional customer service. Breakfast Snacks Lunch or Dinner they ensured we got whatever we needed and served it with a smile. Quoting Chef Kamlesh and Chef Johny “Don’t worry Mrs. Poojari this is like ur own home just let us know what your daughter requires and we will ensure she gets the best”
We just can’t wait to revisit Taj Santacruz and relive the wonderful experience.
Food And Fads ✔️
Recommendations:
Gosht Biryani
Crispy corn & waterchestnut (freshly made appetizer)
Cappuccino
Fresh orange juice (breakfast)
Idli sambar (breakfast).

We visited Tiqri for dinner buffet and breakfast buffet during our stay at Taj Santacruz, which is a beautiful new Taj property at the domestic airport.
Tiqri is a multicuisine restaurant with lovely decor and live music from 8-11 pm. Although it is spacious, it still gets crowded on weekends and you can expect some waiting time.
However my low rating is attributed to it's lack of quality, variety and service. In my experience the staff was inattentive. We found it hard to get their attention to clean & set up our table, and even to get a glass of water. The buffet was certainly not up to Taj standards.
In veg mains, there was aloo methi, gatte ki sabzi and paneer curry, all forgettable. And in non-veg, there was salli chicken and chicken do pyaza, lamb grill and oriental fish which were all average, but not exceptional, as one would expect from Taj.
The freshly made appetizers that came to the table (after we had finished half of our main course) were better than the buffet itself. The rotis we ordered at the table were cold and chewy.. there was no dessert that stood out either.
The breakfast buffet was kinda better, with a good spread of Conti and Indian dishes. We enjoyed the cappuccino, fresh OJ, mushroom omelet, and piping hot idlis. The service was still slow and inattentive, with only the restaurant manager Mr. Jayesh offering good service.
Unfortunately this seems like an issue across Shamiana and Vista too which have dropped in quality. Hope Taj can review and rework on its multicuisine restaurants.
Moses Navgire

Taj to me,is not just a hotel. It's an emotion and a legacy, one needs to experience in a lifetime. Its a pity one cannot add more stars in here.Anyway,I have been fortunate enough to have dined here.We opted for buffet at Tiqri.Right from the moment you set foot here, you will be captivated by the architecture, the ambience and the warm and welcoming staff. The menu is exhaustive. The food is appetizing and flavorsome.Everything is at par.I needn't tell you that Taj by itself is a luxury, and doesn't require any recommendations.

Tiqri in Taj Santa Cruz has a pleasant ambience. Service is very good above accepeatation. The buffet spread is very good .the staff is also very well trained. Over all a good meal & attentive staff .

Went to celebrate bday of my better half based on recommendations. Clearly we had an underwhelming experience. Spread is okay. No great shakes. Few preparations tasted good while few didnt match up. Dessert section was actually sad. Mostly Jellies of different kinds. Indian sweets were no fun. Only saving grace was chicken starters, pasta and mushroom-mutter. Over years, i have come to blv that hotels focus on stay and so do not go there for food. Independent restaurants are way better.
Located on the first floor of one of a kind airport connected hotel, gives you a decent fine dining restaurant experience with good food.

The staff is courteous and polite while the interiors are decently done.
The restaurant has a buffet as well as al a carte.

Buffet was ₹2800 (approx with taxes) on a Sunday.

Tried the dahi ke kabab which was served with green chutney and some salad.

For mains daal makhani and makai dhingri paneer are good bets.
Rotis are served in portions of two.
So if you have a small appetite, refrain from ordering in multiple portions.

The servings are decent in quantity. The staff also lets you know well in advance if the portions would suffice or not.

Breads were served hot.
The tandlanchi bhakri is a good bet if you’re looking for some authentic Maharashtrian touch.

Do try!
We had the buffet and maybe a la carte is better but this was just such a disappointing meal! Definitely not worth 2000 bucks!

The things we liked:

- smoked cheese 😂
- papad 🤣
- fish curry
- corn bacon salad

Things we thought were decent:

- kaju barfi
- rajma
- garlic naan

Things that were below par:

- Lamb leg
- Singapore noodles
- mushroom pasta
- chicken curry
- kenema biryani

Things that were absolute crap!:

- Jerk chicken (THIS HAD A VERY PECULIAR SMELL)

- All the desserts!!!!

- Cheese cake (THE BASE WAS JUST DOUGH!! NOT BAKED AT ALL)

- black forest cake (THIS WAS ESSENTIALLY JUST WHIPPED CREAM)

- Red velvet cake (supposed to be made with creme cheese but it was made with whipped cream)

- both the paneer tikka masala and paneer chili ( it was just so sad with the paneer not having any taste at all!)

Tiqri in taj Santacruz is a class apart & a legendary place which needs no review nor any publicity. This place has won my heart in such a way that it tops my list of must visit place .the food here is genuinely made by some of the best chefs & I have always been the fan of dishes made the original way .hate the fake trend of fusion food these days .over all a good meal & attentive service.

I have stayed here for 3 days and the staff is extremely overwhelming. It’s truly said Taj is known for its service they go extra mile to make customer happy and look forward. I was assisted by Vikramaditya, he is absolutely a gem...accommodates every request and always give. Something as takeaway in terms of experience.
I had a wonderful stay and food here

Tiqri is actually symbols of royalty of Taj group. We did dinner here on our anniversary. The restaurant ambience is really royal and staffs are very polite. Buffet spread are mouthwatering..12 varieties of dessert...Must try once..

Visited after a year, and things have changed in a not-positive way.
Service levels have gone down, one has to repeatedly hunt for assistance. The bigger problem is that they put heaps of salt in the Indian dishes, like Pav Bhaji, Pakodi Kadhi even after telling the chef to use less salt. Staff are a little more businesslike now, rather than the usual friendly folks who try to setup a rapport.
No one bothers to ask whether the food is appropriately made.

I am the most regular at Taj not only the santacruz one but all others, me being from a highly reputed background was really disappointed with an awful act by the manger of a restaurant. I am very sorry to say but the manager at TIQURI is not at all helpful they have no way of talking and are using inappropriate language. Making things further clear i have been spreading a good word about the restaurant and their services to my close one's i myself had to face an embarrassment. There is no proper coordination, there is nothing called customer satisfaction. They will provide you wrong information about the service and will charge you extra by dictating there stupid policies. Please think 10 times before chosing you day out at TIQURI.
Charmi
Food was cold, service was not prompt and the layout was not even decent. Pizza khakhra , dabeli everything on the buffet was substandard and extremely cold.
Jashvina Sardesai
Our one night stay at Taj Santacruz led us to Tiqri for our breakfast. Tiqri serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. But we decided to go for an ala cart breakfast. So we had the coffee and tea with benedicts bar with salmon and 3 eggs omelette which was very filling and very good. An amazing experience at Taj Santacruz.

One of the best ever outlet.. I like this. Beautiful... Taj is taj... No one can compare.. I like this... Nice food.. I will come again and again to meet... OK.. Great.. I like this.
..
One of my and friends favourite places to chill in the city. When we don’t have any after party plans or are super hungry on a night out, we head here for their delicious sandwiches, coffee and desserts.

Unpleasant experience. Not once but twice!! Firstly, we ordered gnocchi cacio pepe .. and after waiting for bit more than usual got served with penne pasta. Had to wait longer and then got served with our order. In the end, we told them to parcel the gnocchi, and they parceled it to someone else. We don't appreciate such goof ups with the name TAJ. they even lied to us in order to be excused. We don't think to revisit the place another time. Not recommended at all, especially not for any of the occasion.

Tiqri is a fine dinning resturant in taj, santacruz
It has an amazing ambience and also the hospitality is just perfect , do try their pasta and desserts ! Really yummm

I was on staycation when I visited Tiqri for lunch, I must say it was the worst experience ever, I was appalled that a brand name like Taj can have such mediocre spread, for live counter they had chat, in which the samosas were icy cold and I am not exaggerating here, I called for breads and it came when I almost finished my rice, it was a weekend and the place wasn’t so full hence I couldn’t even give them the benefit of doubt that the kitchen was preoccupied with other orders, I wouldn’t have been so cranky if the food would have tasted good but even that wasn’t the case, so neither the food nor the spread was worth talking and for service, less said the better, we raised our concerns to the floor manager when we went back to our room , he apologized profusely and assured that the breakfast experience the next day would be worth it and I have to admit he was right, infact for breakfast the place was almost full, even then they managed the crowd pretty well, the food was hot when it arrived on the table, coffee was excellent , poori baji was superb , same goes for stuffed paratha, however I have to comment that the spread was nothing in comparison with other hotels.

The best experience I have ever had so far when it comes to Taj Tiqri Santacruz...
You feel like you are inside the most beautiful restaurant with very supporting staff around you...❤❤
Excellent service and worth trying.... but only one thing it is a bit expensive...

Food : 4.5/5
Beverages : 4/5
Service : 5/5
Ambience : 5/5
Value for money : 4/5

This place justifies the grandeur of Taj group of hotels. Amazing set up with beautiful decors and a fresh menu on the plate. The staff is as usual very friendly.

Ambiance of this place is lovely. If your are going for a buffet food it is very disappointing and most of the food is served cold and bad customer service.
Best ambience, spacious, friendly staff and best food. Well known for their buffets. Expensive, but worth trying and experiencing the Tajness.

Entering the place I felt optimistic. All the chandeliers, the lobby basically the shiny stuff caught my eye. I came here for the experience but to my dismay, it wasn't the case. Food is mediocre at best. Lack of starters in both veg and non veg was disappointing. The options which were available was NOT inedible. Environment is gloomy and low key depressing. On a positive note, noodles were good. Raisin crumble brownie is good! Overall, I would not recommend the place unless and until you're here for the lobby. Also, the soup in the photo was fine.

Not super worth the hefty price tag and there’s better food available in the city! I had a satisfactory lunch there and found the food super heavy! But I have to say - The ‘Murgh Zaffrani Tikka’ was perfectly flavoured and textured. Refer to the picture. Anyone been there yet? Do drop your experience in the comments section! 🙄

Ambience is excellent and staff is very polite. The lunch buffet spread wasn’t extensive. The discount from EazyDiner made it light on the pocket.

Great variety and creativity of food. Good quality was good. Staff was not that prompt as expected. Few of them weren’t aware of the ingredients of the dish when asked. Also the used plates on the table weren’t picked up by the staff unless and untill asked for. Overall the experience was ok ok.

How could you not love this place ? Pricey , yes .But the food , ambiance and service make up for it .
Was looking forward to the buffet breakfast every day .
Love the masala chai and the way it was served . For a quick stop to Mumbai , this is where I want to be .

My experience was not at all great at this place. Visit date was 4th Jan Lunch (happens to be my wedding anniversary) First of all i guess i chose a wrong day to be there restaurant was full. We were not very well attended to. I understand the restaurant being busy, by the time we went to get salads they were finished, same for main course n desserts. Waited forever for the replenishment to take place. Fish was replenished and we enjoyed it . Never got to eat the salad n the full spread of desserts as we were terribly put off with the waiting time. Most depressing thing was there were only 2 starters 1 veg n 1 nonveg (as informed by the hotel staff). Very surprising to see that they charged us more than 2000/- per person for such poor spread. Sorry to say will never visit again or recommend to anyone. I generally never review and only give my reviews to places which i find excellent, couldnt letgo or ignore this one

I visited this awesome restaurant yesterday and was really amazed with the ambience of this place. The staff were very courteous and made us very comfortable. I enjoyed the pasta which is truly delicious. The buffet spread is something you will really enjoy. Hats off to you guys.

Very beautiful interiors...luxury seating...serves buffet and a la carte...one thing that I liked most was the hospitality... excellent service...we were very impressed with the hospitality of Mr Vijay ...he guided us throughout the menu.
In starters we had tomato soup and minestrone soup... minestrone was very nice... mushrooms and ausparagus starter was ok...spaghetti arrabiatta pasta was nice...Thai green curry was excellent and must have here ...specially recommended by hotel staff...the gave complimentary desserts for the kids which was a kind gesture...overall the service was impeccable..the staff took care of the service throughout the dinner ..true TAJ class service..
Keep it up.

Went here with high expectations for moms birthday celebration on a monday night for dinner buffet but left highly disappointed.
The spread was very minimal no chat or many live counter available. In snacking section only nachos and pasta was available.
No welcome drink and only two veg starter and one non veg starter. Dessert was a disaster dry and muddy texture(was eagerly waiting for this part though but sadly couldn’t find any one to my liking)
They charge 2400 per person including tax which was not at all worth it.
The only thing is the ambience and staff which was pleasing and good so two stars for that

One of the best eating places I visited in the recent times. Food quality is very good, service is good and staff excellent. The best part is the ambience of the place. Desserts are exceptionally good. Banana pudding is something which one must try.

Ambience is freaking great. The best thing about hospitality at Taj is that they take efforts to make your experience enriching. I just mentioned to Faizan, the guy who was serving us that the tea wasn't hot enough, he bought me another one in his own. I was surprised. Plus the food was yum. Very polite staff and great service.

The ambience is good, decors befitting a Taj. Food was average. Services left a lot to be desired. We went for a dinner on the day after Diwali with prior booking. Restaurant was full. We opted for ala carte.. vegetarian options were limited.. food took a long time to come and the reorder of roties took even longer. Probably understaffed.. we had been there before when there was lesser crowd and did not face deficiency in service..

We were in for a pleasant surprise by the level of excellent service displayed by the staff .They were kind enough to accommodate us in even when we were late by 5 mins...Kudos to the best spread ever and the yummy cake...!! ( It was our anniversary ) this was made even more special by the staff Mr Reuben who kept on checking on us to see if we were happy with the arrangement also a ten out of ten rating to Chef Prajay for the yummy Panini Sandwich... wouldn't mind coming here again ..the ambience and the decor was mesmerizing giving it a typical feel of Diwali... over all a wonderful experience..

Notable hero's the biryani bharli vangi desserts and the corn shorba ...lipsmacking baby...!
.

Very good ambience with a very good hospitality.
Nice place to invest your quality time .

Taste of the food is very nice. Especially dal makhani and corn palak.....is awesome.
Only thing which I think need to improve is quality of Rice. Please improve quality of rice, It must be Basmati.
Rest all food is awesome.

We visited Taj santacruz with family to celebrate our tenth anniversary and I must say that Taj always lives up to the service and makes sure that the guests are comfortable. A special shout to Gordon, Abhijit and Brijesh for taking good care of us! The reason that I’ve rated 3 for tiqri as the quality of food in the buffet spread was disappointing. The paneer tikka was far from the name it represented. Was tasting soggy. I guess it must have been marinated for the afternoon lunch spread. The wraps and parathas were also hard and we found them very difficult to eat. We ordered a couple of dishes from the a la Carte . It was minestrone soup and dahi ke kabab. I must say that this was the quality of Taj that it is known for. I would rate the food at 1/5 ( buffet spread) , but the service would be 5/5 😀. I would sincerely hope that the management takes care of this quality issue and addresses the same. I hope to visit tiqri soon and would love to see the change !

We had ordered kebabs, Mexican and beverages. Location is great and you get to see good crowd here. Food is just out of the world trust me. It's a good place for family and friends

North Indian feast at Tiqri at @tajsantacruzmumbai
If there’s a 5 star fine dining chain we trust to serve the most lipsmacking , delicious food then TAJ hotels hold the highest ground.
We were welcomed with a complimentary papad basket. For appetisers we went with : * Dahi ke kebab - well balanced , the curd was on the sweeter side but went perfectly well with the mint chutney
* Paneer tikka masala - marinated paneer that melted in the mouth
* Pav Bhaji fondue - the only let down of the entire evening.
To save from burning a hole in your pocket , just book a reservation from @eatigo_in which has discounts upto 50% !! Good food at reasonable rates, every foodies dream come true!
@eatigo_in @tajsantacruzmumbai
#eatigoindia #tajsantacruz #tajsantacruzmumbai #northindianfood #mumbaifoodies #mumbaistyle #mumbaifoodblogger #foodbloggerindia #foodbloggerofinstagram #eatigo #goodfooddeals #food #foodiesofinstagram #foodthatfeedsthesoul #luxurydining #finedining #finediningram #sobre231217 #tiqri #tiqribarandlounge#yougottoeatthis

It's a nice restaurant within Taj. Seating is very comfortable & well spread out. Staff is very courteous & take good care of your needs. Our server Vijay was very prompt. Food has good options of Indian & Oriental. Soup was ok, Starters were nice but only 2 options in veg which was a drawback. Also live counters had limited option in terms of ragda patties & Mongolian rice. Indian food was elaborate & tasted well. Otiental was also good. Deserts had good bit basic options. Overall good spread but they can get more creative with options. I strongly recommend to include mocktails as well basis the price charged.

The most uncomfortable reviews are those when you have an debate within and that’s when most folks go with a 3-rating. Was it a 4? Umm short of it but was mildly over a 3. Dayum!

If I were to encapsulate my experience in one word, I’d probably use ‘inconsistent’. And that’s really what Tiqri is.

Quesadilla Cheese Melt was good but Paneer Tikka has definitely had better days. Vegetable Kolhapuri tried hard to live upto it’s reputation but Paneer Kadai just didn’t try enough. What didn’t leave me with any doubt was that the Malabari Paratha deserves to be off the menu - lacked the flakes and was hard and chewy as leather.

They were hospitable alright to have it replaced and also honour the occasion (we were celebrating Devanshi N’s birthday with a really good chocolate mousse cake) but then they also made me ask for water a plenty number of times (isn’t it the very first rule of service to not allow empty water glass on the table?) and the server (probably a trainee) totally messed up the quesadilla in a failed attempt to serve it. (He literally split open the top and bottom portions)

All attempts were made to make up for the leather like Malbari Paratha and I appreciate courtesy displayed by the Chef and the manager. I do appreciate the ice-cream that was brought to us with compliments but it can only redeem the situation so far.

Another major turn off is their somewhat audacious pricing for the overall experience that the place offers.

In summary, may be a one time visit if you think it was just one of those days.

Khyati Katakia
Good experience dining here. Though they don’t serve pizza, they got it for us on special request. We hope they add it to the menu!

Burrito was delicious too..

Overall great service given by Vijay and manager Satya..

Would definitely come here again for good food, great service and hospitality

The restaurant is nicely tucked in the huge open space in between the corridors leading to the rooms. The food is innovative and yes I found their dosas to be quite crispy and yummy. Staff is quite courteous. The kheer at breakfast is a must try !

Visited TS on Work-cation. Took the staycation package which covered one meal and breakfast. My view of 3/5 is a wt. avg. of our experience at lunch and at breakfast the next day.

Lunch: 1/5
We had informed the hotel about our (Jain) dietary preference at the time of tele-booking. After a smooth check-in, we proceeded for lunch at Tiqri. Our reception at Tiqri's main desk was quite lukewarm with only a 2 seat table provided when there were clearly 3 of us. Quite unlike Taj, I must state. The third chair was added after atleast 5 minutes had passed and couple of reminders.

Thereafter, when we reiterated our dietary preference to the server, we were given to understand that we need to make a choice from whatever was available on the buffet (as per our staycation plan). At the buffet tables, we were informed that there was nothing to suit our preference! Quizzical about the sequence of events, I got back to my seat. Upon enquiring, I was unapologetically handed out an extremely restricted 'Jain' a la carte menu. I lost my cool and asked to speak with the chef what options he can do. While our experience thereafter was smooth, the rough start to our staycation spoiled the lunch for us.

Breakfast: 5/5
Great spread. Extensive options for us. Supremely helpful staff. Diametrically opposite experience than our lunch of previous day.

Head over heels in love with this beautiful restaurant and their bakery..Although it's my first review, the cakes from here are part of any celebration at home since the time they started.. The cakes are divine! Gooey chocolate, not overly sweet, dense cakes! Absolutely delicious and heavenly..

Went here for a quick meal before the flight and absolutely loved how the place looked. We asked the chef what to order and I loved how honest he was. He suggested the Indian food which was yum. The Italian is great too but just go here for the Indian food.

Best place to have buffet at a very reasonable rate. A very good quality of food. Especially deserts are the best ever I have seen. The starters that they provide do have a good taste and also we get an excellent quality of food. Good to visit with family or couple.

I have been to this place multiple times and every time I have found the staff absolutely courteous and polite. In my opinion, you can win a lot of hearts by just giving excellent customer service. I’d say that this place gives you value for your money. Ambiance is so nice

We were a big party of 35 people for a birthday celebration. We came for a buffet dinner. They had reserved us a space and accommodated for extra guests. The food choices were amazing (and not to forget the desserts!) and the service was really good. They promptly got us all we needed at the table. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit for a special occasion.

Tiqri-Taj Santacruz was a surprisingly delightful experience for us.
Even at an odd hour, when Tiqri was in the process of getting its breakfast buffet ready we were warmly welcomed and hosted by the team at Tiqri.
A special mention of thanks to Mr.Satya and his team for personifying the hospitality anthem "Excellent Service with a Smile".
The food was appetizingly delicious and freshly prepared and well presented.
Rarely does one get the pleasure of beautifully crisp accompanying french fries with the wholesome succulent burgers.....the freshly squeezed fresh fruit juices and the lipsmacking bakers basket....simply superb .
Thankyou Tiqri for a memorable gastronomic experience.

I had the buffet lunch at Tiqri in Taj Santacruz. The food quality and presentation were good. The desserts were exotic and exquisite but the Pav Bhaji prepared at live counter by Chef Aarati was pretty much my highlight of the day. Will visit again surely.

Visited this place with family for a special occasion being a Taj Epicure member. Very poor service and very poor selection in the buffet. It is pricey at 2000+ tax per head for the service and quality of food. Appetizer portions are very small and we literally had to beg to get more appetizers. Main course is very poor in quality. Skip this and go with the JW Marriot in the vicinity. This one is not worthy of being called a Taj.

Lunch buffet :
Great service 👍🏼👍🏼 11/10
Ambience 10/10
Food 6/10
Deserts 1/10 (1 is for the ice creams they served) the desert section was a complete let down. No chocolate based deserts. Only colourful deserts that tasted horrible & sweet . Not expected from a 5 star property!
