We also tried the prawns thali which was the best, it has everything and very fulfilling. Kombadi vade and chicken gravy was decent in taste. Overall a memorable experience, would definitely recommend.

Today I visited mine dream restaurant "malhar tribe"which was located at marol, Andheri..The restaurant, ambience and service was 10/10.In starters I ordered prawns rissois and bharela pomfret fest both was so delicious.In main course we tried thier chicken vindaloo and chicken xacuti both were in proper koliwada style..tangy .they serve this with poee and amboli...after this in refreshment I ordered watermelon ginger mojito and lychee coconut both were awesome.. At last in dessert we tried their bebinca with Vanilla icecream....The entire menue was amazing so do try this with your family and friends 💕

I went to this restaurant for the first time. The ambiance is good. Too crowded on weekends. The food was good. I had ordered Prawns, n it was tasty, though it tasted more like Thai curry. Virgin Pinnacolada was absolute delight. Loved it. Do give it a try.

Visited this place for lunch. Was startled by the ambience. It's surrounded by commercial complex. The place offers multi cuisine (Mangalorian, Malvani & Sri-lankan). Was shaken up by the quality, quantity and service. What we ordered? Starters : Prawn Sri-lankan and Chicken Lasooni Kebab. Prawns Sri-lankan had a very creamy texture. Taste was just flavorful. Perfectly cooked prawns and spiced. Chicken lasooni kebab as the name suggests had garlic flavor. The distinguished flavor of burnt gatlic was outstanding. Main course : Tulunadu Kori Gassi & Mushroom tikka masala with Appam. Tulunadu kori gassi had the unique Mangalorian taste which was enhanced with Appam. Coconut based gravy awesome at taste. Kori (Chicken) was flawlessly cooked and spiced. Mushroom tikka masala was ponderous. Coconut and creamy gravy. We opted for Appam to be served with the same. Both the dishes were astounding. Not very spicy. Mocktails : Shirley temple : Had a sweet and tart flavor with red bull, handful of ice, fresh pomegranate a dash of lime and more. Something unique. Lychee Coconut : Very indestructible flavour of Coconut and Lychee. Sweet yet luscious. Dessert : Magador pastry, french classic. A small quaint place to have dinner with family and friends especially if you love sea food/ coastal food.Located inside the midc area of marol it's an outlet one should not miss.The prawns and fish are fresh and cooked to perfection.Lobster was cooked brilliantly and the taste was superb. Do try their appams and srilankan prawn curry which is their chefs special. They have anon ac bar and an ac sitting area for dine in. Live music is there every evening.Worth the money being spent.

A great place for konkan food with superb ambience. Outdoor and indoor seating with a small party hall on 1 St floor. We had 1. Energy Sunrise - Recommend by staff its orange and red bull mocktail. It was good. 2. Virgin Mojito - No introduction needed to this mocktail. This was also good. 3. Kombdi Vade - chicken masala gravy with 4 vade. Chicken masala was delicious. Proper malvan style. A must have. 4. Prawns masala Prawns lover need to try this with need dosa. It's heaven. Prawns we're delicate and cooked perfectly. 5. Neer dosa and bhakri - Both we're good. Neer dosa went perfect with prawns masala. Bhakri with chicken masala. 6. Sizzling brownie - Simple yet perfect way to end our meal. Overall food was really good. Service was fast. Would definitely visit this place again for their konkan food

The Food is amazing especially the cheesey nachos and the spicy guava ✨. The atmosphere is relaxing and the music played as well ✨. The food is yummy 😋 and mouth watering ❤️

Spacious and dhaba like ambience, live soothing bollywood music and good food; these things define malhar tribes really well.<br/>We started with LIT alongside a chicken starter stuffed with cheese. Although the drink was average but the starter was really good.<br/>The we hopped on to the egg chicken hopper, which for me was a very new concept. It was like aa appam, with poached egg and chicken gravy served on top it. It was delicious and we devoured it so fast.<br/>Next up was dessert so we ordered coconut payassam, which mainly consisted of coconut milk and coconut malai converted into noodles/sewai, and was a lot on the sweeter side (which I dont mind)<br/>Overall the experience was good.<br/>The restaurant was neat and tidy.<br/>The staff was courteous, you must ask them for their specials they will really help you out. <br/>Also waiting to try their seafood on the next visit.<br/>

We had 2 different Non veg Thali’s. <br/>1- Chicken Thali: The chicken thali had like 4 different types of chiken gravy which was so mouth watering and full of spices. You would love it. 3 rotis, 1 solkadhi, papad. Its a very filling thali which is worth the price. Must try.<br/>2- Fish Thali: If your a sea food lover must try the Fish Thali. You can ask them to bring any fish which you like. Fish Thali had 2 sabji type gravy with fish in it. And one big bowl of fish curry. With appam or you can even order rotis if you want. Have been coming here since the time it was Shakunthala. The food specially the sea food is amazing. We had the chicken Kalimiri it was very nice, soft and juicy a must have.<br/>They live music everyday.<br/>Very nice ambience and courteous staff.

Had a very bad experience with the management of this restaurant,the food was great . Basically I visit this restaurant often and I got the membership card , but this tym my membership card was expire so I asked for the new renewal of card (I just asked for the renewal didnt ask for discount), i was told to like the malhar page on fb , but due to come technical issue I wasn't able to do that , so they denied giving the card to me they , even didnt told me that they are not giving me the card ,they just kept me waiting and later they ask me to leave the table in a sophisticated way . Felt really bad the food is AWESOME but I guess the management has an a big ego problem<br/>Try to save the legacy malhar tribes

Recently visited this restaurant located in Marol. They are specialized in seafood. They have indoor as well as outdoor sitting arrangement with bright lighting and live Bollywood music going on. They have beautiful heritage wooden interior and live music all days of week.<br/><br/>Place is very specious and can accommodate approx 100-120 people. Outdoor section has live music stage. Two good size of well cooked nihari tossed in perfectly spiced gravy.<br/><br/>Pomfret Malwani: Konkani Style gravy with good size of Pomfret served.<br/><br/>We finished with desserts and both were perfectly sweetened and creamy. Recently visited this hidden restaurant located in one of the off-roads of Marol lane completely cut away from the bustling street outside; however GPS will get you right to its doorsteps.<br/><br/>The place has a vibrant outdoor section with bright lights and live music on all nights and can seat around 100 people comfortably, they also have an indoor AC section if you prefer to stay away from the music and enjoy a quiet meal.<br/><br/>Cuisine here is primarily covering various parts of our country and they do specialize in seafood with multiple preparation styles like Goan and Malvani along with a well-stocked bar and few in-house cocktails.<br/><br/>Coming to our dining experience here :<br/><br/>Ordered 3 mocktails and all were made right and was refreshing in the taste.<br/><br/>- Blue Lagoon<br/>- Strawberry Cooler<br/>- Apple Peach Lemonade<br/><br/>Moved to some lip smacking appetizers : While all of these enticed our taste buds (Freshly prepared & served hot on our plates) a special mention to “Stuffed Mushroom” & “Veg Cigars” from the veg section as these were rich in taste, the “Chicken Gulati kebab” was sinfully succulent with the loads of cheese stuffed inside and the “Chicken Kalimiri kebabs” was an explosion of flavors on my palates.<br/><br/>- Paneer Srilanka<br/>- Veg Cigars<br/>- Hara Bhara Kebab<br/>- Stuffed Mushroom<br/>- Prawns Koliwada<br/>- Chicken Gulati Kebab<br/>- Chicken Kalimiri Kebab<br/>- Chicken Srilanka Kebab<br/><br/>Some hunger satiating well prepared main courses : My favorite pick would be the medium sized “Pomfret Curry” prepared in Malvani style followed by the spicy thick “Chicken Chettinad” gravy. “Nalli Nihari” was flavorful as always with 2 pieces thrown in the dark brown gravy and lastly the “Paneer Makhanwala” was rich and creamy with a generous dose of butter. You'll love it when you taste it.<br/><br/>patra curry:-<br/>It is basically a green color gravy vegetarian dish which contains Paneer green piece & it's spicy.<br/><br/>Chicken Malvani:-<br/>Again chicken gravy which is made in malvani side with some spiciness.<br/><br/>Chicken Biryani:-<br/>The best biryani i have ever tried .<br/><br/>Neer Dosa:-<br/>It's is basic dosa South Indian style which is tasty to have with Chicken gravy.<br/><br/>Appam:-<br/>Again a type of dosa which is like a bhakri tasty and yummy if ull have with any gravy.<br/><br/>Dessert<br/>tender coconut:-<br/>Tender coconut pudding recipe a mild flavored pudding Tender coconut pudding turns out rich and delicious.<br/><br/>Caramel custard:-<br/>caramel custard is a custard dessert with a layer of clear caramel sauce, contrasted with crème brûlée. Malhar tribe is a typical indo-resto with cuisines from all over India. Malhar Tribes is a restaurant with attractive and pleasant ambience.You have the option of sitting indoor or outside.Live music is played in the outside dining area.Outside you will feel as you are sitting in beachside Goa and not in the middle of Mumbai City.<br/>Its speciality is Maharashtrian and South Indian seafood.<br/><br/>We had Garlic butter prawns, Chicken Srilanka and Surmai fry for starters.<br/>Both Prawns and Chicken were coconut milk based and were mild spicy. The gravy in which Chicken Srilanka was served was a perfect mix of sweetness from the coconut milk and spicy green chillies.<br/><br/>For main course we had Chicken Malwani.<br/>You have option variety of rotis and bhakris to go with it.The Malwani chicken had the traditional home cooked taste and was very spicy.<br/><br/>For dessert we had tiramisu. They also have a variety of fresh fruit based desserts and drinks.<br/><br/>Definitely a place to visit if you want to have authentic costal Maharashtrian seafood and in a similar ambience.

A great place to go along with family and friends. The interior of the place are quirky yet good. Staff and service was incredible.<br/>.<br/>.<br/>Also the food we tasted here was commendable. Here are some of the items which we tried here :-<br/><br/>1. GUAVA MERRY :- there was chilli powder on the rim with guava juice inside. the combination was great with the sweetness of the guava juice mixing well with the chilli on the rim..<br/><br/>2. SRILANKAN CHICKEN :- the chicken pieces were small but perfectly cooked and super tender. They were coated in masala which was super creamy yellow in colour and the taste was superb. Tasted slight cheesy with the presence of Coconut taste too. There was also caramelized onions on top which enhanced the taste a bit more !<br/><br/>3. GOAN BASA CURRY :- again an amazing coconut curry . The gravy was super glossy and creamy with an abundant and strong flavor of coconut. The spices in it were also noticeable in every taste of it but had a mildness due to the gravy being super rich ! The basa piece in it was also tender and had the flavors of gravy inside the meat of the fish too.

Both the places had nice decors. The staff again was very friendly and they also did suggested us some really great dishes. The place is really amazing. I really liked the taste of the food as it proper Malvani Food that i love to eat. The service was also nice. I am in love with the ambience. I truly liked their payasam which they serve as dessert and obviously their Malvani Chicken. Overall nice place

I even liked the way they present food. Even their mocktails are amazing. The taste if the food is really great at the taste. The ambience is excellent and gives you a feel of Dhaba. After coming here from dinner, i started liking this place very much. I was came here with my friends for dinner we ate chicken malwani curry with appam and bhakri. Malwani was made good it was tasting same as i had at malvan, after finishing my dinner i came home and told my parents to visit malhar next week for dinner. its a good place for family and friends.
