Review Botticino - Mumbai

Sammi Leung
The food quality is good. I quite enjoyed the food there, in particular the mushroom soup and the homemade pasta. However, there was no one in the reception at the time I arrived. It is a bit odd for a high end restaurant in a hotel without anyone in the front. It was not busy that time and I saw only two tables being occupied. After a while, I walked directly inside to find a table by myself.

Had an incredible dining experience! The staff's warmth and top-notch service made it even better. The food was awesome, and the hospitality was amazing. Celebrating my wife's birthday here was a hit—she left happy after the meal. Need I say more?

Been here once for a set meal, it was substantial and reasonable. The breads were very good as were some of food and attention to detail was fantastic. If you come alone they also offer to place a fishbowl opposite you, so you have company through your meal, which I found very charming. The behaviour of the staffs are pretty friendly and atmosphere is also quite refreshing.

Been here twice for a set meal, both of which were substantial and not unreasonable. The breads were very good as were some of the dishes. The presentation and attention to detail was fantastic. If you come alone they also offer to place a fishbowl opposite you, so you have company through your meal, which I found very charming.

One of the best service I have got , Thank you Mr Bhaskar for such great hospitality as I was a little confused with the menu . The food is out of the world , maintaining the Italian authentic flavour . The pork belly which I had was delicious and so was the baked dori . Tiramisu was mouthwatering . Perfect date place . Beautiful ambience 😍😍

Italian cuisine Botticino Trident BKC
They start you off with a assortment of freshly baked breads.

Soups
Mushroom espuma- must have for all the mushroom lovers, the parmesan just elevates the flavour of mushrooms .

Minestrone a la botticino- Healthy and yummy

Pastas
Burrata ravioli- this ravioli celebrates the egg plant. Different and amazing flavour profile

Agglio olio pepperoncino spaghetti- Yumm, just your simple butter and pepper flavour.

Desserts (our favourite part of the meal)
Tiramisu- Defines that not every dessert needs to be sweet to be tasty. Must try.

Il falo
It is a dark chocolate mousse served with a rasberry sorbet, raspberry crunch and meringue. The sweetness of meringue overpowers the dish. The dish could do without it

If you’re in BKC there’s many a option today that you can choose from, though if you’re in the mood for some good Italian food there’s perhaps just the best there ar Botticino. Located on the first floor of the hotel the ambience and seating is well planned and comfortable with lovely yellow roses singing to you.
Truly the asparagus or mushroom zuppa to start with and it’s fantastic with the lovely fresh bread basket that comes along. The Sardini bread that’s served is awesome and a favourite. If you like cheese try their entree which is baked cheese with walnuts, caramelised onions and greens, it’s fabulous. The pizzas, pastas are amazing like any other but I personally would recommend the asparagus and vegetable risotto that’s superb served with some crisp cheese. If that’s not all try a whole selection of wines, a tiramisu that’s great, fresh seasonal sorbets and you can end the meal with a classic espresso! The chef and team there are very friendly and will do all it takes to please you!

Kevin was amazing with his service and we had pizza and pasta. We had chocolate mouse for dessert which was a delicacy. The best part of this restaurant is that it has positive vibrations and which i simply love about it

Went here last evening to have a quiet romantic dinner and it was absolutely lovely!
The food was without a doubt perfect. The Crab Ragú was just wonderful, the pasta was al dente , the sauce to noodle ratio was perfect and it had just the right amount of cheese.
The lobster risotto with lemon mascarpone was a delight to the palate. The fresh touch of lobster was well complimented by the citrus-y hint of the lemon.
We were even offered a complimentary dessert. Which again was beautifully done. An elaborate chocolate cake crumble, with a scoop of raspberry icecream, topped with a dark chocolate mousse and covered with meringue. Finished with some raspberry shards.
The service was great, the staff was very receptive and welcoming. A lovely place to spend a nice quiet evening. :)

Everything we ordered was fabulous. We got very good tips from a server named Jordan. Thanks for making our evening super special.

Mushroom Soup
Tiger Prawn and Asparagus Salad
Poached Egg with Shaved Truffle
Semolina Gnocchi with Ratatouille
The Herbalist (Gin based cocktail)

All of the above is what we ordered and all of it was very very good. The place is also not crowded, so good for a romantic dinner.

Jordan also gave us a cake with a heart on it free of charge. This was a good night at Botticino. Thanks.

The level of service and eye for detail by Denzil, the front of the house staff who really took extra care of my mom and I was amazing. It’s been a while where I have seen such professionalism and yet the approachable feel at a fine dining restaurant.
The food was also of high quality and beyond expectations. Will definitely visit again !

An amazing place for dinner dates with the perfect ambience and food. Had been there for my wife’s birthday to make it more special. Very friendly and courteous staff and Mr. Denzil was the person who served food for us. He was very patient enough in suggesting food and his service was extremely good. Do visit this place for amazing ambience, tasty food and courteous service. Do approach Mr. Denzil when you visit the place.

Denzil was serving us at the Botticino. He was extremely courteous and polite. The black truffle risotto was amazing.

5 stars experience at Botticino. Was there on Jan 4th with family and thoroughly enjoyed their vegetarian fare. First of all, it is amazing to see a restaurant be so considerate to vegetarian needs -they even cited which pastas would have eggs and which would not; same with desserts. This was highly appreciated given we were with elders who did not want to even eat eggs. Similarly the service and food was impeccable - the manager and 2/3 servers were constantly focused on serving our group of 9 folks. The food was delicious - tomato and minestrone soup, the botticino salad, mushroom and saffron risottos, the angel hair pasta with tomato sauce and egg plant parmigiana were all out of the world. We also loved their free bread and olive oil that they were lavish in terms of refilling multiple times. you can tell that the quality of ingredients used is top notch and as they served some 13+ dishes across our group, it felt like we were served a multi course meal in a truly gourmet restaurant. It is not surprising that this restaurant featured in top 50 India restaurants by Conde Nast traveler magazine. Slightly expensive but it is worth it - give it a try!

Located in Trident oberoi. This restaurant is a must go. I had ordered the duck tagliatelle and it was superb!. The staff kevin was really friendly and helpful. Amazing ambience and everything was just perfect. Would love to visit again in the near future.

I visited with my family to celebrate my mom’s bday. The staff was extremely polite and well informed. They guided us really well through the menu. My father visits the restaurant very often for official work and he has always been a fan. Today we had the following items:

1. Chicken consommé
2. Lobster and prawn bisque
3. Asparagus and Parmesan risotto
4. Black truffle risotto
5. Burrata Ravioli
6. Aglio e olio chicken
7. Pan roasted chicken

All the food items were simply delicious and well prepared. Quantities were the fancy restaurant type small but not in a bad way. Less quantity helps in making sure one doesn’t overeat and enjoys the preparation while keeping it light.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience. They gave us 2 cakes for the celebration and a rose bouquet to my mom which was a very sweet gesture. One was a chocolate mousse cake which was really fresh and well baked. The other cake was a Christmas themed cake which was very cute, soft and just brilliant in terms of taste as it completely melts in your mouth.

Thank you Staff for your lovely hospitality on my mom’s special day.

I would say one of the better places in Bombay - its laid back and the food is good. Their fresh breads are excellent and the baked rabiola served with onion marmalade and ruccola is lovely. The mushroom espuma is good but nothing to rave about.
Dhaval Monani
One of the better Italian restaurants in Bombay that looks beyond the usual pizzas and pastas - they have a good bread basket with some lovely onion jam to start off with. The jam was excellent and the highlight of the meal. The mushroom soup was good - not excellent - very rich. I had gone a bit off my usual course and looked at the baked robiola which was excellent. Over all a good meal.

Amazing food. Fabulous risotto and kickass dark chocolate desert with raspberry sorbet. Truly a five star experience...
Sandeep Mathur
Great food - definitely amongst the top 5 Italian restaurant in the city. They also have a very interesting menu —- we had two pastas one with prawns and other with duck and both were out of the world - the tiramisu was to die for
We had gone there just for food and were also using a gourmet passport coupon for a free dish. The staff attitude was very cold, maybe as were not running a long bill or we were not in - hotel guests. Small things like not refilling water, non attending to u after a meal is done , serving desserts without the dessert spoon etc, which is a given in 5 star, gave us that impression
I hope this is an exception or an off day, as would love to go back for the food
KunalDikshit
Ambience:5/5- Lively yet relaxed setting . Was a full house .
Food :4/5 Grilled chicken hit the mark . Tiramisu was a slight better . Have had much better at other places . Spaghetti carbonara had just the right amount of cheese and seasoning . What’s not to love about the complimentary bread basket
Service :6/5 - Absolutely wonderful. Ensured attention to details . Took the experience to the next level . Case of Hospitality taking it to next level and covering the odd deficiencies in food .
Drink 5/5- Fire and Ice must try .

The spacious airy restaurant on the first floor at the Trident Hotel in BKC is their fabulous Italian restaurant - Botticino. Named after the "Pietra de Botticino" which is a fine Italian marble that has been used all over the hotel. The menu is full of traditional Italian dishes but presented in a more contemporary manner. Don't expect a swirl of spaghetti slaps on a plate with a thick wedge of garlic bread instead a prettier plate where you eat with your eyes first. While the menu has lots to choose from, the best are their selection of fine homemade pastas

Loved the ambience and the authentic Italian food , was a perfect date place with my Italian boyfriend on a Diwali night .Service was fabulous , loved , loved it !!!

The pasta offered here are very well cooked and very smooth on their flavors

Very courteous and helpful staff. From providing a bag holder to suggesting dishes from the menu card, they made sure guests were well taken care of felt welcome. Couldn't help but notice that the same treatment many hotels offer for priority staying guests were the standards given for dining guests here at Trident. Such genuine hospitality is what sets Botticino apart from any other Italian fine dining restaurant and makes it worth the price.
Had been to this one at eve for dinner ..ordered salmon with a crisp skin ..salmon was done very well but the veggies along with it tasted stale and raw

Excellent Italian food
. Staff is very courteous and created a new dish as per our requirements. Tiramisu is great. Wine list by glass can be better.

Head to this place in Mumbai, if you want to experience fine dinning with Italian food. Ordered a Spaghetti, it was cooked very well and the sauce was made amazing.

Staff is amazing
Ambiance is very quiet and pleasant. Perfect fine dining.
We were given a complimentary Tiramisu, as it was our first visit with them.
Since its bit expensive, Zomato Gold has come to our rescue for 1+1 food.

Overall an amazing experience with courteous staff and lovely food. An evening well spend..

We ordered a homemade bucattini pomodoro , a pizza and a tiramisu. They are one of those Italian restaurants that doesn't have pizza on their menu but they were courteous enough to arrange it from their other restaurant. The pizza was v good but the tiramisu and pasta were outstanding.

I strongly recommended this place for anyone looking out for some super food , excellent hospitality and a beautiful setting!

I had a chance to visit the hotel for work purpose. It was an amazing experience at Botticino! The staff was lovely there, a special mention to Chef Purvesh and his team as well Bhaskar and Kevin! They made sure I had a great meal after a super tiring day! Sharing some of my favorites in the picture!!

Created some beautiful memories at Botticini @Trident. Impeccable service, food that satiated our taste buds and gastronomical souls, perfectly complimented by a very hospitable team at work led by our server for the evening, Kevin. A must visit for food lovers.

A place to relax in and have a meal with a feeling of being well-looked-after! The food is quite delicious (we especially liked the pork belly and the truffle risotto with burrata cheese, while the lobster bisque was okay). The price is expectedly on the slightly expensive side though they do have a ZOMATO gold scheme (1+1 on food).

A pleasant place to sit and chat while having a fine dining experience. Ambiance is very pleasant and service is excellent as expected at the Trident.

We started with a Lobster and Prawn Bisque - quite a subtle and smooth one. It was creamy but thankfully, not too rich.

This was followed by 9 Hours Slow Braised Pork Belly and a Black Truffle Risotto. The pork belly was very soft and melting. Very delicious. The risotto was dotted with burrata cheese - a classic dish, made well.

We were given some complimentary Tiramisu as a Mother's Day gift - pretty nice!

I only wish they would have informed us about the Zomato Gold offer in advance. Prices are quite high here and the offer would have made a difference.

On the whole, it was a good lunch spread over a couple of hours (or more, I think), chatting and laughing while having great food.

Botticino has always been one of my fav places for Italian food in Mumbai. Not just the food, but the ambience and decor of the restaurant and the cleanliness are awesome too. Overall, it’s just a really perfect place for a happy and relaxed meal.

They have a special vegetarian menu, which has lots of options. We went straight to mains. We tried the ricotta and spinach crepes and the spinach gnuddi, both delicious, although the portion size of the gnuddi was teeny compared to the portions of pasta that we noticed at other tables - however, that wasn’t an issue since the bread basket was really varied and delicious and perfect with a little olive oil and vinegar. Also gnuddi is made with potato, so despite being light and fluffy, it’s very filling. Then, for dessert, we had the tiramisu (pretty good but the one at Stax is the best I’ve had in this city by a long shot) and the trio of sorbets, which had very interesting and delicious flavor combinations - the banana and passion fruit was specially delicious, surprisingly the cucumber and mustard was great too, and it’s the first time I tried sea buckthorn.

The staff is delightful - even with a completely full restaurant, they were smiling, polite, and efficient. I didn’t get the name of the first few guys who gave us the vegetarian menu and placed our order, but Sultan helped us with desserts and the bill. Each of them was just really sweet and made the experience brighter and cheerier. And they accept zomato gold, which makes dining here really VFM.

Lunch to celebrate my sister's birthday and mother's day.
We were seated immediately.
Nice ambience with a clean contemporary feel.

Requested a vegetarian menu.
Decided to jump into the mains.
While waiting for the meal we were served the breads.

The spinach crepe with the tomato sauce had the right flavour - the tomato sauce was tasty but the crepe had enough flavour not to need the sauce.

The gnudi - potato with spinach based sauce was well presented and well made - mild taste but we liked the flavours.

For desserts we went with tiramisu and the trio sorbet.
The sorbet were amazing - three flavours - very interesting - sea buckthorn, passion fruit and cucumber - just perfect for the summer.

The nice flavours, ambience and good service made for a nice Sunday meal.

Good food with good ambiance. You can enjoy one of the best Italian food here with friends and family. We ordered mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes and all were perfect. Special thanks to Suman who provided us unlimited variety of breads and that too complimentary.. loved his professionalism...we didn't find it too expensive which is a good part... hardly we got bill of around 7k for 4 people. Thanks a tone for the best service. Highly recommend people to visit.

Botticino you were a big disappointment this time..

Good - courteous staff, quick service

Bad - food quality

Must have - the John Dory Fish served with multi grain risotto was their signature dish and well recommended by the server.

So try the Tiramisu which is certainly the best dessert on their menu.

Be careful of the Pan Roasted Chicken because the chef forgot to clean the chicken properly and there were blood stains in the chicken. We discussed the same with the chef who agreed to the mistake and said there was a problem with the whole chicken. Not sure if they have taken up with the vendor because this is a SERIOUS hygiene issue which ruined the entire experience.

Disappointing was the manager avoiding a discussion or apologising for the mistake and instead putting the Chef up front for the same.

Went here yesterday for my anniversary dinner.. typical subtle and sober ambience as with all of the trident restaurants, this italian specialty restaurant has a very sophisticated vibe. The staff was polite and courteous (although a bit forgetful). The food was delicious and portions were good. We started with the minestrone soup which was quite amazing. Loaded with vegetables, and fresh pepper crushed into the bowl on the table, it was a great choice. We ordered a pesto fusilli pasta which they customised for us. The raviolli was also customised to our liking and we loved both the dishes. Definitely recommend to all italian food lovers.
Giselle Barboza
We had the set menu for lunch and the choices were great and the food, especially the chicken and John Dory were excellent. The dessert (tiramisu and forest nera) were brilliant! Trident staff as always very very attentive. Must go back!

The ambiance of Trident takes you away from the ruckus of otherwise crowded restaurants in BKC.
The visual experience of the food is as elegant as the place. But In flavour, some dishes may fall short.
I ordered the Lobster ravioli and it was a 5/5. Absolutely perfect flavours and worth the heavy price tag.
We order a mushroom soup and a mushroom risotto. Both of them had a little too strong mushroom flavour.

Worth it for a one time visit if you are looking for an elegant dining experience

It's funny why I haven't reviewed Botticino already given that I have been here for several times. Well as they say, better late than never.

We all have certain restaurants that we turn to when we are looking for a comfortable, non-experimental dining. Italian being one of my favourite cuisines, Botticino sits right up on the top of that list for me.

The menu offers great choices and the restaurant provides a soothing ambience. During this visit, we ordered Spaghetti Aglio Olio and a customised pizza baked to perfection in the wood oven. I requested for a half and half pizza - pesto and tomato base in equal proportions and my preferred veggies as toppings. It tasted great and reflected the superior quality of ingredients and the craft of the Chef. The pasta was good but fell short on the desired flavour.

It's hardly any news that I am a huge advocate of the Trident brand and exceptional service at Botticino helps strengthen that loyalty. The bloke waiting the table immediately recognised us from our previous outing at the restaurant and surprisingly remembered that I like pizzas. He was more than willing to customise the order to match my requirements. Now that is the Oberoi standards for you!

Lastly a huge thank you for the compliments that came in form of a red velvet cheesecake. Appreciate it!

*The FnB Scorecard*

Food taste: 4/5
Menu: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Pricing: 4/5

Awesome food, great ambiance, decent service - they rejected my Zomato Gold.

Visited with a friend a couple of days back. We ordered Ravioli and Pasta. Both the items were just amazing. One of the best Italian food that I have eaten in the recent past.

Service was also great to start with. We forgot to give the Zomato gold in the beginning at the time and they rejected to use it later. We, in fact, ordered the third item, a dessert, as well and they asked us to order the fourth item if we want to avail the Zomato Gold. A perfect dinner got a hiccup in the end.

I wish I had six stars to give to this restaurant. Every dish ordered sorry specially made by our chef Mr.Calvin. To start with the appetiser that was made.

But what makes me give this restaurant 6 stats is Red sauce risotto specially made by chef. Followed this with spinach crepe. The icing on the cake was friendly server Mr.Alroy.

You guys made my fathers bday totally special and a day to remember for long.

Thanks guys

botticino in trident is one of the best authentic italian food i’ve eaten
the ambience is really good and must visit if you want to have fine dining food
they give you a complimentary basket of bread as well.
i ordered-
1.twice cooked mozzarella
2.agilo e olla chicken
3.baked robiola cheese
4.black truffle risotto
5.baked red snapper which comes along with risotto as well
6.tiramisu
the presentation of the food is on another level!!!it is so pretty that i didn’t feel like ruining it by eating.
i would recommend this place to everyone

Poor poor service for a 5 star.... the food is nice but the food is nice at a lot of places and when U go to a trident u expect better service & hospitality.

My Favorite place to have Risotto, good place for Italian food, peaceful and relaxing,Great food.
Hygiene well maintained.Polite staff Nice service

An average place with below average service!
The seating was so far apart we could barely have a conversation with each other.
It took them almost 45 mins to get us just soups and appetisers. Also, the portions were more like a French restaurant.
The food was just about okay, except the seafood soup.

Had been here quite some time ago for a birthday lunch and the experience couldn't have been better. The ambience had me at first glance, the food was a treat to the eyes and the taste buds (drools on being reminded of it) but to top it all off, the customer service was so prompt that it made my day. The server was a hoarder of knowledge (especially when it came to wine) and gave the best suggestions to go along with our choice of food. All the more, he was so considerate that on noticing my cold he got me a virgin hot toddy. It was heavenly to experience all this perfection at the same time. Would definitely visit the place again.

Great Italian. It’s one of the best places for authentic Italian. Home made pasta in red sauce was excellent and so was mushroom soup. Ravioli is excellent

The nostalgic aroma of italian food...the elegance of botticino marble freshly picked flowers and the spellbound grappa wall..the restaurant sets you back in a royal and modern restaurant somehere in italy...the preset menu with beautifully hand crafted bread..garden fresh salad which was vibrant and packed a punch...roast chicken with a robust jus..perfectly balanced pesto...a hearty minestrone soup...with d tradional tiramisu...my favourite was the assortment of ice cream having a smoked element...and the wonderful marriage of a micro sponge micro herbs sorbet a raspberry coulis...all artistically done...kudos to the team...service could have been a more efficent...overall an amazing experience....service team was exceptionally kind....

We went here on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty.
They welcomed us with some in house bread but we had to tell them at least 4 to 5 times for getting us some butter to accompany with the bread, which got me a bit annoyed.
We first ordered the mushroom soup which is a must have for all the mushroom lovers, it's beautifully served with parmesan cheese.
The breads they give are really good too.
For starters we ordered the veg bruschetta which was really nice, it has a combination of mushrooms, tofu and cherry tomatoes and one with peppers.
For mains we had a sphagetti arrabiatta, we asked them to make it spicy but it was just okay and neither was it hot.
For dessert we had the tiramisu which is nice and creamy and is a must have.
The staff is courteous but a bit too slow, I had a 30 percent discount coupon and they took 20 minutes to make the bill and not to forget 20 minutes to serve the butter too.
I want to rate it a 3.5 but I can't , the staff is really courteous but they must be a bit quick .
Visited this place on 6th November. Their cauliflower vegetarian dish is worth while ordering. We ordered their mushroom soup which is extremely flavourful and creamy. Please do not order their agilio olio as it lacked the garlic, chillies and other ingredients.

Their service was commendable.

What service! We visited on a Sunday night and the place did not have many patrons. The attention showered by all greet and waiting staff was impeccable. Our young daughter was given a private tour through kitchen by Melody, the restaurant hostess so that we could enjoy a quiet dinner. A complimentary toy, dessert were also served to her. Food as always was top notch. All in all a memorable anniversary night!

We went for dinner and had some really great food. Ambiance and hospitality of course is of class. Italian cuisine and way too delicious. Portion wise very less, but no complaints. We had twice cooked mozzarella, minestrone, panisse and ratatouille in main course and. Finally tiramisu.....we loved all of it...
Mushroom Espuma is a fantastic soup to have here. It is the best Mushroom soup that I have had! It’s a must have!!! They also have 3 dips from which one is chosen for the day. All 3 dips are also amazing! Overall food and service is quite good and it has never disappointed!!!

Don’t read any further... just go and try this place.

📋
Minestrone a la botticino
Chicken Liver tubetti
Homemade bucatini pomodoro

Chicken liver is not something everyone has a taste for... but if you do THIS IS THE PLACE!
The food was cooked with so much love, we had to compliment the chef.

Thank you for making every visit worth it!

Excellent food, excellent service (thank you Tyson). This was a great way to end Mothers' Day...with twice cooked mozzarella with shaved truffles and asparagus, duck, and pork chops, and salmon. The ambience is open, and friendly, with a quiet elegance. Rosemary ice-cream is so good, as is the chocolate chip. And the small box of chocolates that was presented to me for Mother's Day were exceptional!

Had been to this restaurant for the Sunday Bruch few months back and had a very different and lovely experience. The ambience itself is quite appealing. The Bruch spread was with variety of Traditional Indian combined with continental dishes. It's a sort of fusion of Indo Western and has a very contemporary feel to it. Had litti Chokha in traditional dish of the day and it was very delicious. Recommended for those who are innovative and look out for something different. It is not the regular buffet spread found in various such restaurants and it's a treat to eyes as well even while serving ourselves. Loved the vegetarian version of Sushis they served. We though got served at the table but one gets compelled to go around and see all the beautifully arranged spread. The best part of the buffet though is the dessert spread ( I don't have a sweet tooth and rarely serve any dessert for myself even if it is a buffet). But tasted quite a few and loved it. Service is amazing and extremely courteous staff. Had been to this place earlier too but the Sunday brunch was the first time experience and loved it. Those who are experimental with food would enjoy it the most. Also loved the variety of Cheese served along. Had ordered Italian Pasta and Pizza separately and kids loved those the most. Overall lovely and delightful experience being there with close family friends. The sitting arrangement is also quite spacious which provides enough privacy as well.

Yesterday We 6 of us were here for lunch to celebrate our friends 50th birthday party. It was my first time to this restaurant, generally I am not a fan of 5 star hotels for my meals but I was glad to be here. It has definitely maintained all the standards of a restaurant a 5 star should have.

Servers: Amit & Kunal, I must say they were so attentive and made sure that we are comfortable.

We also got a complimentary cake for the birthday which was a nice gesture.

We Ordered:
Non Veg Bruschetta 5/5
Veg Bruschetta 4.5/5
Crmres Chicken 3/5
Minestrone Soup 4/5
Whipped Potato with Mashroom 5/5 (Strictly, Not meant for ppl who don't like Cheese)
Penne Pomodro 4/5
Cacio Spaghetti 4/5
3 BTL Prosecco 5/5 ( Nice & Chilled)

-----------------------------------

Food 4/5
Service 5/5
Hygiene 5/5
Restrooms 5/5
Ambience 4.5/5

It's an amazing experience for Italian food lovers, they have a nice Bread Basket from Heaven with Olive Oil & Soy Sauce. It's Yummmm... I couldn't stop.

See you soon Botticino!! :)

The food and hospitality was mind blowing. Also the tiramisu was available in eggless. The wild mushroom risotto was creamy and very well made its a must try.

Stopped here for a quick lunch during a busy meeting at Trident. The ambience is nice. Its subtle and bright. The menu presented seemed nice too. The steward was polished and well groomed. They were sweet enough to keep vito on my table for company. A concept that i have seen at the mariott though.

I ordered a dish that i don't recollect the actual name of now but had whole wheat pasta with pulled chicken. Full marks to the flavour but the downer was that the dish was over-seasoned. I couldnt finish it and it overpowered the flavourful meat and pasta.

Full marks to the excellent bread basket(had the most buttery bread here) with the cauliflower dip.
I visited this place too during the Citibank Restaurant week. The service, the ambience and the food all has been really good.

The highlights of this evening for me was the really good Italian food. The breads served are without yeast and hence it gets chewy if not consumed immediately.

However, the food was good but not one of the best. Things we tried:

Mozzarella with Tomato - Excellent. Tasted very fresh and good.
Penne Arrabiata - Very Good.
Tiramisu - Excellent. This was the highlight. ONE OF THE BEST SERVER IN TOWN. This is a Chef’s Special too.
Ricotta and Lemon Zest Cheesecake - Average. Didn’t really enjoy this one.

The food was good but didn’t find it be exceptional.

Popped in at night on a rather unusual coffee run! Had a deliciously robust French Press and a beautifully plated Tiramisu. Not the finest I’ve had but definitely a decent one.

Very very standard. The aglio olio wasn't really aglio olio. Mushroom pasta was like mushroom soup. The Margherita pizza was good. That's about it.
Santosh Rane
I was here for a casual lunch and ordered spaghetti Aglio Ole and lemon ice tea.

The entire restaurant was empty so not like they were running a full house service and had a excuse to miss something.

1: They forgot about my ice tea order and it never came. I finished food and then they remembered.

2: Ordered for my spaghetti with extra garlic with sun dried tomatoes . The recipe was way off . The spaghetti was cooked in sun dried tomatoes.... instead of keeping the recipe and tossing on top.

That changed the entire flavour of the dish.

Didn't expect that coming from a brand hotel like this.
And yes extra garlic went unheard like the ice tea.

The manager was open to take feedback and wants me to try again someday.

Till such time 1 star is all I have for this place.
Enchanted Khanabadosh.
If need a calm evening and really good food ,do visit this place for once.not so pocket friendly place you can hangout everytime .Service is really a plus .Real sophisticated atmosphere.
Do try tiramisu if on date.It will work magically well, trust me.

Went there for a quaint and memorable birthday brunch with my family and to our delight,it was an exhilarating experience. The hotel in all, belongs to the luxury cadre,so,needless to say,the ambience and decor of the restaurant was exquisite and emanated panache. Their inventory is an august ensemble and is a best of the both worlds. As if classic continental cooking had just the perfect wedlock with modern molecular cooking. Of whatever we had tried of their classy-quirky repertoire, each and every dish was absolutely delectable. The icing on the cake was this amazing dessert which the restaurant made specially for me,as it was my birthday. I would recommend everyone to at least once, indulge in their culinary escapade. Thank you so much #Botticino...for making my birthday so memorable...!!!

This Italian restaurant by chef Siva Kumar is an absolute must try .. try out grilled chicken and parmesan appetizer .. we stayed at the Trident and just thought we'd give this place a try... it was absolutely amazing .. Can't really describe in words how good this place is in a review..

The service was very slow, even though there was no crowd. Food was disappointing, I have eaten Italian around the world and this was one of the worst I've had (Tuscany - Trident Hyderabad does a way better job at Italian food). Staff was very polite and courteous. I am not going back to Botticcino for Italian.

Having eaten Italian food around the world as me and my family love italian food this place proved to be a little bit of a disappointment where italian food was concerned..The pastas The rissotto lacked the creaminess that i was looking for in a risotto..It was almost dry rice with mushrooms and chicken..The gnocchi were hard. The Tiramisu well i have had better..All in all an ok experience didnt wow me..Still feel Zanotta has the best Italian..Cheers

Must try the Afflagato (hope I got the spelling right). It's a concoction of chocolate, coffee, ice-cream and bitters. So many tastes, perfectly complemented. Wish I had taken a photo

Great restaurant and amazing food. The pizzas have a crisp crust, the margherita is the best. The chocolate cake is also a great dessert. Generally quick service and good ambience

Had the most amazing meal! The staff is excellent but the food is phoenomenal! Had the newly introduced dishes and most of them were recommendations and were superb! Both our mains and desserts were awesome! Was in food heaven

Liked the cocktails more than the food. Bombay Southside and Bourbon Smash were excellent drinks. Besides the fried seafood starter, nothing stand out about the food. Ambience is in line with a business hotel, too well lit!

By far one of the best Italian fine-dine restaurants that I have dined at!

Ambiance: Fine-dine and chic with huge french windows letting in all the sun-light. They also have a Grappa lounge with some of the best and most renowned grappas from around the world.

Food: Lip-smacking and delicious. You can pick anything from the menu and rest assured it will leave a lasting memory in your mind.

Servers: Extremely friendly and sweet. If you are confused what to order, ask them and they will suggest the best as per your taste.

Slightly tight on your pocket, but if you want a lasting experience of the best and authentic Italian cuisine in Mumbai, close your eyes and go for just this restaurant!

I went to this restaurant while staying in Trident. The bread basket that they give you before your meal has some interesting choices. Their menu changes every three months and they have goldfishes to give you company if you drop in alone.
I wanted a light meal as I was by myself and ordered a handmade pasta dish upon hostess recommendation. The stringoli with pork sausage and ragout was amazing and the sauce was to die for.
For desert I had bailey's panna cotta which was creamy, smooth and had a lingering sweet taste.
But the best part comes when I was able to cook into botticino kitchen a meal of shrimp scampi for myself. Chef Ashish Bhasin was so nice to let me use his kitchen and do it myself. So guys, go and explore. The staff is good and they will give you a tour of the kitchen! Fun!

The Tiramisu is heavenly. I can come here just to have this. One of the best. It's worth every bite. Rightly soaked and not extra creamy as well Already craving it!!!

Lovely place. Went there in the afternoon, the day I landed here. The ambience is pleasant. It's in Trident, which itself is so beautifully done up. The decor, the lighting, everything.

Staff: very courteous, hospitable, cute looking, staff. The industrial trainees were good too. All smiling faces.

FOOD: the variety!!! Omg. The food was great. The prawn cocktail, perfectly cooked mutton, the sashimi, everything, and also the DESSERTS!! The raspberry chocolate mousse, the green apple panna cotta , with green apple jelly, white chocolate disc, mint and this cute dark chocolate spoon. The hot chocolate brownie. The food is amazing.

Though on the expensive side, food is exceptionally good here and also the services.

Botticino, the Italian love affair of Trident BKC is done in white/ cream with a hint of brown. True to its name, the marbles are one of the finest Italian marbles known for its peculiar black lines. But if I may say, Botticino was dressed a little too pale and dry for my liking. It is a place where you will go, enjoy the food and come back. It is not a place where the beauty of the restaurant is exciting enough to hold you back to loiter around a little more.

It is located in BKC which though a very busy place on weekdays, becomes an inviting destination with its empty streets and well maintained roads on weekends. Being an office hub and also otherwise, BKC has in the recent past seen mushrooming of quality restaurants- SodaBottleOpenerwala, California Pizza Kitchen, Capital Social etc not to mention the old dine outs/ cafes which were already there.

Once we were seated, we were welcomed with the amuse bouche, the palate cleanser. This time it was orange pulp reduction garnished with mint leave served on a spoon to be had in one bite. Our palates cleansed, we poured over the menu for our food selection. Meanwhile the customary bread basket consisting of multi grain baguette, a hard roll and tomato & basil roll was brought out to us.

For starters, we ordered the Tuna Carpaccio and Parmesan and Black Pepper Chicken. The Carpaccio was sliced and reduced to its thinnest form. The tuna was spiced mildly and the sourness made the meat beautifully edible. The shaved radish and cucumber salad gave the dish an easy breezy airy feeling. It light, fresh and refreshing.

The Black Pepper Chicken was brilliant- perfectly grilled and spiced delish juicy chicken chunks on a bed of mildly salted potato mash sitting comfortable in a small pool of tangy-sweet grape reduction. A stellar hit for our voracious appetite!!

Before we could dig into our mains, the waiter at our table presented us with the next palate cleanser in the form of Guava Chilli Sorbet which was like eating a guava with chilli albeit in a crystallized icy form. It brought back fond memories from childhood. A great dish and innovation. compliments to the chef on the same! :-)

For the mains, we had called for the ‘Poached Red Snapper’ and ‘Angel Hair with Arabian Sea Shrimps’.

The Poached Red Snapper came is a floating pond of broth with chunks of veggies presented in a mason jar; it was completed with a pretty base of baby potato crushed together with herbs served on a plate. You had to put the red snapper broth on your plate on to the potato and relish the dish. The snapper pieces were soft but firm. The veggies crunchy and the broth a delectable medley of flavours. I was so caught up in the whole process that I could pay very little attention to the Angel Hair with Shrimps being served on the man’s plate.

The Snapper was a little sweet and we were pre-warned. However then, it is not a single person dish and if you try to finish it all by your own it becomes overpowering by the time you finish half.

Angel Hair with Arabian Sea Shrimps was super thin spaghetti strands made with shrimps. Angel Hair is basically a very thin variety of Italian pasta called Capellini. The shrimps were generously spread and after few bites, we were just picking the shrimps off the pasta. There were two things which went wrong with this dish- first, it was heavy and dense and probably after the heavy dose of the roasted chicken appetizer and then the snapper, it became too much. Second, the dish had pretty much the same flat taste throughout. You take the first bite and the 10th bite, there were no variations, no neutralizing or high points which probably would have made the dish linger on your buds for a little while longer. The parsley and garlic were hardly perceptible. This dish for us was a let-down.

We rested for a while before moving to desserts and even though we were full, we could not end the meal without a sweet note. So out flew the order request- one portion of Tiramisu and one portion of Chocolate Feuillet.

What's truly enticing about a good chocolate pudding is the balance of flavour and texture, and the one at Botticino totally nailed it with their Chocolate Feuillet. First it is very pretty to look at, yes very very pretty. A single bite of the mousse and I was mummmm-ing in the delicious flavours of chocolate with a slight hint of bitterness. It was pure indulgence and evoked so much joy and satisfaction. I closed my eyes and savoured the burst of the lovely chocolate creamy flavour. The only downside to the dessert was too much too soon; 6-7 spoons and I could not have any more.

The Tiramisu was fabulous in its overall appeal. The dessert was creamy, bitter without being too rich or too sweet; just the right amount for the meal to end on a high note. The dessert made our food super special and was like attaining a whole new realm of food nirvana for the soul.

To sum it up, Botticino stands true to its name and serves great food fare. The service is top class. The waiters are warm, they know the food and take good care of you. The food presentation, is attractive as expected from a five-star restaurant. There is expansive attention to detailing which assures you that you are in safe hands. Having said that, the main-course portions at Botticino are huge, so if you already had your entrees, it is better to go low on the main course.

The start was the idea to have a light meal for three The italian menu takes to a level of art the food that it's on its menu.

Ordered to share between us a light meal which was as well presented as delicious. A salad of citrus, olives, micorgreens and pecorino which is beautiful as healthy. In addition to this was the Fussilli with the cauliflower cream to accompany the same.

The accompaniment chosen was the amazing chicken with the zucchini, bok choy sitting on bed of green pea mash with pecorino and mint .

The finale is as they say the proof in the pudding!! The orders was the two most sublime orders...The affogato which should is a combination of espresso and cofee and vanilla gelato.
And the Baileys pannacotta with the almond biscotti.

Cost: price for this meal for 3. Approx Rs 3000 with taxes

Credit to RestaurantWeekIndia for proving an equal opportunity to foodies and lesser mortals alike to sample some of the delicacies being served by some of the biggest names in the town (in form of a three-course set menu with some of the most popular dishes as options). Our love affair with RWI dates back 3 years and each time we have had an amazing gastronomical experience. Our choice this time was Botticino from Trident BKC which is known for its authentic in-your-face Italian dishes.

So it all began with ‘Amuse Bouche’ served gratis by the restaurant at chef’s discretion of choice as an appetite stimulator in form of single bite size helping. Ours was molecular orange juice reduction with mind leaf and it tasted sure like hell well and ignite our appetite ;)

Affairs began with a generous basket of varied breads and crisps served up to chum over the courses. For appetizers, we called for ‘Tuna Carpaccio’ for the lady and ‘Parmesan and Black Pepper Chicken’ for myself.

Parmesan and Black Pepper Chicken was served with thick black grape reduction and creamy potato mash as the base. Must compliment the chef for the perfectly grilled black-pepper chicken which was augmented well with the potato mash and tangy-sweet grape reduction which acted as instant palate cleanser while gorging on the chicken. LOVED IT.

Tuna Carpaccio came with a specialty tuna from southern Italy which is served after being salted and pressed followed by air-drying to reduce it to thinnest possible slices. The tuna was augmented with healthy portion of shaved radish and cucumber salad that again rendered the dish a clean healthy taste. Sprinkle some black pepper for extra kick, if you may.

Next up was ‘Guava Chilli Sorbet’ which is again a palate cleanser served right before mains to enable you to transient the distinct flavors of mains from appetizers. Never imagined a combination of guava and chilli could taste so amazing (especially with the chili aftertaste) and act as a perfect palate cleanser.

For the mains, we selected ‘Poached Red Snapper’ for the lady and ‘Angel Hair with Arabian Sea Shrimps’ for myself.

Poached Red Snapper is a two part dish. The first being the poached red snapper in a butter nage/broth (especially used in the USA for poaching of seafood) mixed with chuck of vegetables and the second part being the crushed baby potato base which acts as a mild palate cleanser served in the dish. As you pour the nage broth and red snapper (mind you, the size of each of those pieces of red snapper are humongous and overall it is too much for one person to finish) into the baby potato mash you can evenly balance the sweetness of the snapper. VERY GOOD dish indeed.

Angel Hair with Arabian Sea Shrimps which essentially comprises of angel hair pasta aka capellini which is an ultra-thin spaghetti like pasta in form of long strands. A new one that I came across. Taste? Didn’t like it so much. Well, the combination of shrimps with the pasta was fine but I guess the extra virgin olive oil didn’t help my palate especially when the parsley and garlic could hardly be sensed distinctly. Overall this was a good dish, though not for my palate.

To end this ultra-filling journey, we zeroed-in on ‘Tiramisu’ and ‘Chocolate Feuillant’ both of which are popular choices.

Feuillant as I understand refers to leaf in French (loosely derived from Latin origin) and how beautifully was this dessert served up! Perfectly shaped crisp chocolate leaves surrounding the huge block of rich dark chocolate mousse was as sinful as it could get. A little too much for one poor soul surely.

Tiramisu, what do I even say about this Italian beauty? AMAZING! Perfect layering of sponge soaked in coffee and liqueur that I have come across in a decade blended with the right amount of chocolate powder and mascarpone cheese rendering a tantalizing taste to this dessert. Absolutely loved it!

Overall, we left too full and too high with all the super delicacies, thanking RWI for this opportunity. Look forward to more such encounters :)

I'm always on the lookout for authentic Italian cuisine restaurants . There are many good ones around , however not exactly authentic .
So when I had an opportunity to be a part of an extensive business meeting followed by a fine business lunch , I almost jumped at the idea of trying another Italian restaurant .

Honestly , I seldom frequent the fine dining restaurants except on some occasions like business meetings or family dinners . I prefer to explore the quaint little cafes usually.
Anyway , soon the platter of bread arrived with a few appetising sauces , olive oil , balsamic vinegar and butter . Normal , average selection of breads , pleasant enough to taste .
Then arrived our pre-course item which was Hakka noodles , again it was decent enough for an Italian fine dining restaurant and likeable .
Soon , our Amuse Bouche arrived which is usually an interesting part before the main course as it's delicately and creatively presented in a small portion . So , we got a grape infused with cream and chocolate syrup . Small but interesting and creative ..
Next was the appetizer , a chefs recommended Salad with lime dressing . Fresh , crunchy with a balanced amount of greens , tomatoes , with oranges and more was delicious and refreshing .
It was time for the Sorbet , which was a guava ice-cream wit a strong hint of chili . As likeable and popular as this dessert is , I think they should go a little light on the chilli factor as the after taste is somewhat too strong and can become unpleasant for some with a lighter palette . Although not bad at all ..
Accordingly , soon after our Entrée arrived : Spaghetti Primavera which was with grilled vegetables , olives , capers and Crema Rosa sauce and a similar one in non veg with chicken breast .
The Spaghetti was the best dish so far that we had tasted . Authentic , flavoured , well seasoned , creamy , perfectly cooked and extremely delicious . The chicken breast was well cooked ,seasoned and roasted perfectly . All in all , a thoroughly enjoyable dish.
Like they say the best one is saved for the last , our dessert was the hero of the day . A big , sinful , creamy chocolate fondue which tasted even better than it looked . It had just the right amount of sweetness which was perfectly complimented by rich coffee and cream , tasting heavenly . No wonder they're called sinful :)
With that , our meal and business meeting both ended on a sweet note and I'll definitely visit again to explore more items.

We went there during Restaurant Week. Excellent food. The red snapper poached in orange juice was a revelation. I had never eaten anything like that before. So good! I also feel that the chef there really knows how to treat chicken. Both chicken dishes we ate had really intense and umami chicken flavour, and in such a good way. The desserts were great too. Great service. All in all an excellent meal.

Botticino is the Italian restaurant at Trident BKC. One of the Service Standard is Going the extra mile for the customer. If there is one Hotel Chain that truly demonstrates it than its the Oberoi and Trident Group. My experience the other day at Bottacino was another such example. It was my birthday and they left no stone unturned to make it special.

It has beautiful interiors using a combination of white and purple. Quite a different one giving it a classy feel. Service... What do I say. I always fall short of words. Be it how they interact with you or willing to customise order as per your liking, they win you over. The other day, Udhav and Hausil did a great job.

We started with 2 mocktails served with compliments. Watermelon based drink and Ginger Ale. Both decent in taste and can be ordered without much thought.

This was the first time I had, Minestrone Soup. After I tried it, I was wondering why did I never try before. It was just perfectly done and put me in love with the soup.

Now this was decision making order which would either make come back or never come back. It was the White Sauce Pasta. Getting it right on my day, they have assured repeated visits:) Chef did a great job. Not too creamy, fresh veggies and Pasta just rightly cooked.

My husband requested for Pesto Risotto (not on Menu). He had all the praises for it. He is a food critic and the statement from him "I have never had such good Risotto before", says it all.

We ended on a super sweet note with a cake served with compliments and scoop of homemade ice-creams- Rocky Road and Fig. Oh I can come here just for the Desserts:)

If Zomato gave an option to rate a 6 on 5, I would do it without a second thought. A must visit for any Italian lover with good amount of options and very decent portion size.

Possibly the best Italian restaurant in town. Be it the Tuna Carpaccio, Wild Mushroom Risotto, Chicken Tagliata, Tiramisu or the Sorbets, nothing here has ever been disappointing. Superior gourmandizing experience & possibly the warmest hospitality is what Botticino has to offer. Keep up the awesome work. :)

The experience that any five star provides is the ambience. The ambience of this place is quite pleasant with shades welcoming you into the restaurant. The pan seared goat cheese salad which I had was the high light of my meal. The peas soup ordered by friend was a total pass. Would like to head back and check out whether there have been any innovations in their menu.

When you go to a place like this and spend insane amount of money for an item or two, you want your mind to be blown either with the taste or with the quality of service as quality of food is hygiene in a five star hotel atleast at the face of it.. So my experience in botticino was plain boring and the food wasn't insanely epic that I would remember or recommend to anyone however their quality of service was good. I went their to celebrate my anniversary when I forgot to reserve a table anywhere else and I easily got a table here without any reservations. They customized the soup for me as I wanted without any arguments, tried making our evening special by surprising us with a cake post dinner. Portion size were very small as seen in any such hotel and Rissotto was tasty.
Wheels On Our Feet
We landed up at Botticino after watching an amazing play by Nasiruddin Shah at St. Andrew's – and we were in the mood for something really good. It was around 10:45 pm and we were famished, and made it clear to the staff there who were really sweet & got us a complimentary mini salad each along with bread basket asap. The décor was very ‘Trident’ like having had meals in their restaurants in Hyderabad, Mumbai and other locations earlier. There was a little bit of noise coming in from the all-day dining below whose absence would have been welcome. The breads and assortment served were excellent to be honest, perfectly warmed up. The salad was basic but for us hungry souls – good.
We had orders main courses only – 6 Hours Braised Lamb Pappardelle & Braised Pork Belly. Frankly, both items were a little disappointing … the first one was a little too tangy and cheesy for my liking, would have preferred it more subtle. The latter though perfect in taste – the serving pathetic. At Marriott and some other hotels, a similar dish would be 2x – 3x the quantity. We ordered one of their specialty deserts – Panacotta with Bailey’s topping … it was just amazing.
2 mains and one deserts (no drinks) – damages 4.5K, 5 star pricing by any standards. Unlikely to go back as there are some other great options – including the brilliant Vetro at city.
Rating: 5 for service, 3 for food

Relaxed italian fine dining outlet. The staff is friendly and will be able to customise to suit your palate. Tried the Risotto, tortellini and the tagliatelle. Satisfying and they have good wine selection. We tried the chilean wine which went well with our food. Nice good feel overall.

I was craving good pasta and Botticino was one of few places I hadn't been to yet. And I wasn't disappointed. The pasta totally hit the spot. The chef accommodated our specific likes and dislikes and still managed to come up with delicious food. The ambience was oddly too well lit, but no complains there. The service was good as well, one of our servers forgot a drink we'd ordered but he came and apologised so genuinely that it didn't mar the overall experience. I was told they're reinventing some recipes and I'm certainly gonna go back to try those.
