Review Sukh Sagar - Mumbai

Togan Kılıç
The food was really delicious, the place was hygienic, and it is a locally known place. I recommend to eat there, service is fast too. Pav bhaji is my recommendation. However, as a solo traveler, I did not also feel very comfortable because around ten waiters were watching me while eating and as soon as I finished my food, they gave me the bill as if they wanted me to leave.

Sukh Sagar is a fantastic restaurant that offers a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food at Sukh Sagar is exceptional, with a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes and preferences. Each dish is bursting with flavor and prepared with the freshest ingredients. The menu offers a great selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and there are plenty of options for those with dietary restrictions. The service at Sukh Sagar is also outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is enjoyable. The restaurant is spacious and well-lit, with comfortable seating that makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends and family. The prices at Sukh Sagar are also very reasonable, making it a great value for money. The portions are generous, and you definitely won't leave hungry. Overall, I would highly recommend Sukh Sagar to anyone looking for an exceptional Indian dining experience. The food is outstanding, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking to try something new, Sukh Sagar is definitely worth a visit.

Its one of the oldest Restaurants in Colaba. The entire lane is full of there other business only. Sukh Sagar is one the food brands which you can trust blindly. Their big and aired Bhature were delicious, their Chole had light amount of sweetness which makes it a perfect combination. The Dal fry was thick and tasty. The biryani is our go to food as we love their taste soo much that everytime we order this first. Also they have options in Chinese, Mexican & Italian. The brand is maintaining their dignity and taste since 1961.I suggest you to visit this place whenever you are in Colaba.

This place is famous for coffee, juice and tea. After 1962 Sukh Sagar developed this food court and it has blossomed into 20 restaurants in several cities. It is near Girgaum Chowpatty. It is a fast food joint

Famous eatery near Chowpatty. Needless to say the prices will be on the higher side. We had ordered Pav Bhaji which at 200 rs, wasn't worth. The Chatni pav is good but high on garlic. But the juices were really good. Service is quick as the place has high turnout. Good ambience.
Apoorva Nair
Those pav bhajis were delicious. They were so buttery and you know that expression lost in the sauce? That's who I was when I ate the filling. We also ordered the giant dosa which came with three sets of sambar and chutney. The dosa remained crispy and buttered even at the very last bite. The paneer tikka biryani was also nice but not as tastebud pleasing as the other two. Lots of families were grabbing a bite and since it's right in the city centre it's reccommended for everyone who's looking for Indian food after seeing the views around.

Famous for pav bhaji ... Doesn't disappoint. Its just that it's always crowded and waiting 15-20 will be there.
Nikhil Malatpure
Typical udupi place...good south indian fare.
Kunjal Jhaveri
I Had ordered pav bhaji with 2 extra pav but extra pavs were missing very poor service from sukh sagar.

You can never go wrong with the Idli Chutney at Sukh Sagar !!! Masala Pav was good and the Uttapam we ordered was a great size as well :) This is always a happy place to order from
Ekta Dharamshi
Probably an issue with ordering on a Sunday evening, but bhaji was missing in the pav bhaji, which was a disappointment. Idli was cold and hard. Chutney and sambar were okay. Masala dosa and uttapam were good.
Sheeba Maheshwari
The place serves authentic Indian food, very hygienic and at dirt cheap prices. I would advice people to try Idli. It was just too delicious

It was so mentioned that ‘LESS SPICY’ but i think it was not taken into consideration

Too spicy food REALLY SICK

BAD TASTE WITH SPICY FOOD
Tanisha | That Cheesy Toast
Had visited this place with a friend who was new to the city during the late July rains. The staff was very rude and didnt let us get inside even though it was pouring heavily outside. We were a little drenched but they asked us to leave in front of everyone and it was very disrespectful. Never going to this place again.

Sukh Sagar is one of my favourites when it comes to having a quick snack or satisfying those hunger pangs after a night of clubbing, that’s right, they’re open until 1:30 am! They have some of the most satisfying desi comfort food. From their famous Pav Bhaji to Italian and mouth watering South Indian, they have it all! Its pocket friendly and has a lot of options :)

Price for 2 : ₹500

My ratings : (on 5)
Food - 3.5
Drinks - 4 (Juices/ shakes)
Ambience - 2
Quality and cleanliness - 3
Service - 3
Decor - 2
Seating arrangement - 2
Location - 5
Pricing - 4.5
Overall - 3

Here are some of my favourite snacks here: (Most of the dishes are available in Jain and they also customise the order according to your taste and preferences)

~Butter Idli (₹120) {MUST TRY!!)
~Onion Rawa Dosa (₹160)
~Tomato Onion Uttappa (₹150) {The perfect breakfast}
~Pav Bhaji (₹175)
~Masala Pav (₹160) {MUST TRY!!}
~Pizza (₹240) {The BEST desi pizza you will ever try, topped with oodles of cheese}
~Nachos (₹250)

You’ll be surprised but they have some amazing italian(Macaroni and arrabbiata), and great chinese starters too! Sukh sagar Hotels Located in the heart of the city.It is a pure veg resturant opposite to Marine drive,Near girgaon Chowpatty .I had got a chance to visit this place with my family in Nov-2019.After completion of my Marine drive tour I decided to took my lunch near Chowpatty area. So I found Sukhsagar to Full fill my empty stomach. And the menu was Paneer tikka Masala, kadai Mushroom & plain Naan. The quality of food was good but the price is very high for a middle class people. Ambience was not good as compared to price. For two people the cost was around 1200/- rupees.
My ratings was as below.
Food Quality- 6/10
Ambience -4/10
Behaviour-5/10
KUNAL JAIN
Most authentic place for the tastiest idli chutney and Pav bhaji In Bombay. Service is fast and price is pretty reasonable. The parking is limited in the front. You don't really want to be here on a Sunday because it's a task to get a table.
Utkarsh Samel
Most authentic place for tastiest Idli and Pav Bhaji
in Bombay. Shiv Sagar specializes in ldli, Pav Bhaji
and Pizza, Service is fast and price is pretty
reasonable. Idli is served with special chutney
which is not found anywhere else. This is a smal
restaurant which is normally confused with bigger
and different Sukh Sagar Hotel and Restaurant just
next door. Limited parking in front.

after hearing so much of hype about this place , I ordered their best seller Pav Bhaji , The Bhaji was delicious and in good quantity but the main issue was their bread , it feels like its way to small then a regular size, other then that from packaging to delivery everything was top notched !
Shailesh1009
Service is too bad and not hygienic give vomiting to my mom and son
They are not not care about these issues, big name give them big ego

The pav bhaji of sukh sagar -Chowpatty is just amazing, it's taste is sooooo yummy and it's a perfect pav bhaji as per me with a pinch of buttery taste even the pav was full of butter toasted it's worth eating in sukh sagar and also the Onion Uttapa was tasty with that proper Sambar and chutney served.
Sagar M

I ordered for hot coffee at 7pm was told the milk is over. Then I asked if they can make me cold coffee hilariously the staff said they can serve cold coffee ( milk and hot coffee is made from another ingredient I guess ).

have been a regular to this restaurant and love the food out here. However the prices are on the higher side for the noisy ambiance offered. The food taste and quality is good and the seating space is also large. We had jain Pav bhaji ( 5/5), Jain pizza (5/5 with the indian cheese ), Paneer makhanwala (4/5) and Nachos (4/5).
Saurabh Pandey
A nice place to visit near girgaon Chowpatty. The place is over crowded on the weekends. A long waiting line. There is chaos in the restaurant on weekends. The taste and quantity is very good. Also some of the dishes were over priced.
Overall rating
Food 4.5/5
Service 4/5
Ambience 4/5
FruXz
A good place for family outing and vegetarian people. The taste of all the dishes is good. Being popular it is mostly crowded so you have to plan it accordingly.
Sanket Jack
Wow, this was really, really bad for pav bhaji. Probably meant for people who want very very bland food, but quite possibly the worst pav bhaji we've ever had. Review seems a bit stern, but it was that tasteless.
Rasika Sonavane
So much noisy and rates are too high..but taste is awesome..all dish i ordered was very tasty
Rutvi Naik
Sukh Sagar- Chowptty, Mumbai
I visited this place a couple of months ago, the ambience was good.
We ordered Panner Chilly which was average.

Nice place it is I have visited many time... I love to have typical pizza they serves... Had yummy masala pav, sandwiches and garlic bread and many more but service was very slow... But taste was good... Pocket friendly restaurant..
Prachi Karjodkar
Ordered Pizza and Pav Bhaji, but it was highly disappointing. The pizza was not baked and the pav bhaji was tasteless. Shocked to see the food quality degrade from such a reputed restaurant.
Soniya Thakkar
Have been here a couple of times.. they have the best food when your craving at night.. rava Sosa, cheese pav bhaji, veg cheese grilled sandwich were really very tasty..

Ambience- 3.5/5
Quality- 4/5
Quantity- 3.5/5

After driving for 30 kms in traffic to visit this famous joint, I was told that they dont serve Tawa Pulao on weekends. This is specified nowhere on their menu or at the restaurant. I left the restaurant after waiting for about 20 mins for my turn. The staff should have been apologetic but were rude and gave bad looks instead. I'm not a fan of monopolistic businesses and dont intend to visit this restaurant ever.

The food was amazing❤
The rotis were soft, the sabji was not high on masalas but had great flavours.
Its a must try place
Appetite Calls
They have some famous dishes. Pizza, idli and pav bhaji are the most popular dishes of this place. You should try their pav bhaji. One of Mumbai’s famous pav bhaji.

#Sukhsagar #Chowpatty #SanjayRestaurantReviewAlert

Much hyped up place, the past glory has been eroded by resorting to commercialisation. The food was okay, the price points not so. Didn't particularly like a pushy geriatric gent whose main KRA seemed like maximising revenues by pesky upselling. Bring back to me the days of yore please.

So if you ever go, girgaum chowpatty and crave to have that proper meal, for lunch or dinner, here is Sukh Sagar. So we had Punjabi kofta which was finger licking good, secondly Veg kolhapuri with crispy butter roti, ending up with jeera rice and Dal fry was probably the best meal.
Pure vegetarian.
Jain options available.
Avinash Shahri
Extremely arrogant staff. Half of the things in the menu weren't available - I mean how can something as basic as Chaat, Mosambi juice and Rava Dosa not available at Sukh Sagar?? Not the Sukh Sagar I knew from 10 years back. Food quality was pathetic and substandard.
Km
We ordered crisp dosas , the texture was weird. Didn't have any taste either.

This place at Chowpatty has been there since years which served every thing under on roof. Now the juices and the food is different. This place has the best steaming hot soft idlis and cold coconut chutney which is something highly recommend. The masala pav, pav bhaji and the pizza are great too. Small seating but quick service and courteous staff. Must visit.
Yash
One of the best restaurant is this one to have pav bhaji and pizza with fully loaded cheese...
Also the ambience is too good with soft music around...
The service is also fast and good...
Food was properly cooked and also delicious...

My ratings for the place...

Service:- 5/5
Ambience:- 5/5
Food:- 5/5
Overall:- 5/5

One of the best iconic place to have some late night food in mumbai. It's just situated near to girgaon chowpatty. It have two different outlet where in one you can have pav bhaji, idling chutney, pizza and sandwiches. Where as the other one serves the varieties of juices.

The pav bhaji serve by the sukh sagar has best taste where you can have jain/mix pav bhaji, regular pav bhaji or cheese pav bhaji.
The softness of idli and chutney serve by it has a delicious taste .

So when you are hanging at marines and craving for food will suggest you to hav some mouth watering food at sukh sagar.
Tushar
One of the most Iconic places of Mumbai, which unfortunately has been separated into two different outlets next to each other. Apologies, but I am unsure of the outlet I visited for which this review is applicable!

Nonetheless, the original plan was to have the Pavbhaji for which this place has always been known for. But while Browsing through the menu, it tempted us to order everything else other than Pav Bhaji 😄

What we ordered for starters were Paneer Tikka, Veg Cutlets, Masala Pav (had to because of the well known Bhaji) and Idli Chutney. The maine course included Vegetable Jalfrazie, Breads and Vegetable Biryani.

We really liked the food between 4 of us, but found it over priced considering the quality and ambience. I am cutting 1 star only because of the chaos in the restaurant, solely attributed to the loud neighbours across the restaurant. The service was quick and efficient and we would surely would like to visit again!

It was cute and actually thoughtful place.
Shriya's Guilty Pleasures
Best Pav Bhaji ever. Authentic Mumbai Pav Bhaji TASTE it has managed to retain all throughout these many years. Only thing, I could order only 2 extra PAV. Not more than that. Bhaji quantity was so much that we needed more than 4 pavs (indian bread). While ordering through Zomato, there were no option to add more than 2 extra pavs. So total only 4 pavs came and couldnt order more as there was not available to add extras from the menu. To add more pavs, we need to order one more extra bhaji. So overall it was good tastewise and quatitywise

This is a perfect restaurant to eat Mumbai style delicious food.. they have their 2-3 outlets in Mumbai. We tried their most famous MASALA pav. Spicy buttery, loaded with veggies, masala pav was very delicious. Then we tried honey chilli potatoes. These wer perfect chinese style tossed potatoes in honey, and Chinese sauces.
Totally worth the visit.

Truly amazing! It's quite improved now in terms of service as well as ambiance. The food was always good and worth the penny. They serve food in filling quantities.
Well known for it's punjabi cuisine.

Starting with masala papad-it's a must before the main dish is ordered.
For the sabzi
Veg hyderabadi and methi malai mutter accompanied with butter roti/naan. Too tasty.
Then finally veg handi biryani.
This is usually what we order for lunch.
The other items aren't that well known.
Paneer chilli and pasta are good to taste.
Also, for south indian one can order masala dosa or tomato uttapam-which has authentic south indian taste.
Pav bhaji is super famous and must try.
The Belle And The Blog
Been going here since years now and the food is pretty good. Love their masala pao, pasta with exotic veggies and paneer chilly! The only thing that annoyed us was that the glasses and cutlery were generally quite untidy.
Nikhil
If you want to have good Punjabi and South Indian food around Chowpatty, Sukh Sagar is the place to be.
Waiting is lesser on weekends as compared to nearby food joints. Good Family restaurants which did well in the early years of 2000s.
KHUSHBU NISAR
Always full but amazingly tasty. famous for pavbhaji though the pizza is equally good and we ordered tawa pulav which was on a sweeter side. I found Jain pavbhaji more yum here.
Krrish Kothari
Very Clean, hygiene and spacious place. The food quality is very good. Generally there is no waiting time and no pre booking is required. U can have a great time here
Sumit Jain
It’s all time favourite since school time ................................................................... Chinese cuisine , North Indian cuisine , South Indian or street food like Pavbhaji all are just too yummy
Preet Shah
Visited with a trust of its name: Sukh Sagar but we were disappointed with some of the basic dishes like Pav Bhajji and Dosa. The one opposite Chowpatty is way better.
There are several other options around as well.
High On Broccolii
This is a very old place in this town serving variety of Dishes.

It has a very amazing taste and feels refreshing after visiting.

It's near chowpatty so people visit the beach can have fun and food both.

The presentation and quality of food is great.

The service is quick.

Overall a good family place to be.

My personal favorite is Pav Bhaji. It tastes amazing 😍
Saloni Sheth
Heard a lot about this place and thus visited here all the way from airport.
Long route just to enjoy their meal.
Rating food comes later but the service was pathetic.
The manager, cashier and staff had no courtesy.
Overcrowded with lack of space.
Parth Doshi
Extremely rude staff!!!! not willing to accept that the taste of Ginger Lime Mint Soda is extremely bad. They used sugar syrup as base for the drink. the only thing good here is the dosa and milkshake
VINAY JAIN
This place has been the same from so many years so now whenever I have a craving of pav bhaji or idli this is the only place for having these both dishes I would have gone there end number of times but have never ever tasted any other dish accept the pavbhaji and idli and the service is quick too
Premal Mehta
Nothing beats the Pav Bhaji and Masala Pav of this place. 100% delicious food. Have to have this Everytime I visit mumbai. Other food options are tasty as well. Have tried punjabi and Desi Chinese as well.
Sybarite
Idli chutney and pav bhaji here are all time favourite. Tasty food at reasonable price. Quick service though always crowded being near chowpaty.
Gourmetmumbaikar
Had their the very famous pav bhaji. The taste for food was kind of good but it would be delicious if it was little more spicy. The price for pavbhaji was ok. The ambience and staff was very good and polite.
Siddharth Tongay
Guys
Never ever tho know any South Indian food here being a famous restaurant itli and dosa made here from the flour has raw rava in it.
This is very bad for digestion and takes long time to get out of system
Unnati Shah
The original place for juices. Late night milkshakes and snacks. The shalimar milkshake is a must have. Grew up drinking this. The dosa and pav bhaji are also amazing.
Foodalltime
Amazing pav bhaji and the staff is also nice .
Cleanliness is maintained and also the butter idli is amazing. It is a must try here. It was a great experience here.
Dimple Zaveri
A pure veg place which serves from South Indian to Punjabi to Italian food. The place and food is decent. I tried their Idly chilly, rava sada dosa, paneer pakoda and cream of tomato soup which were decent .
Parth Patangia
Visited this place again today, I had pav bhaji and it was too yum. It is a bit expensive than the regular pav bhaji you eat at restaurants. Earlier I had also tried main course over here it was good😋
Asiimm Moghal
Best juice centre in South Mumbai, real fruit juice and tasty as well, don't forget to try it once. A bit expensive as per location and popularity but worth trying.

'F' For Foodie
OVERHYPED PLACE

We were here for Saturday dinner

I have been to this place before but this time it was a total mistake

Location great right opposite to girgaum Chowpatty

Ambience okayish

Food average ( earlier it was yummy)

SERVICE PATHETIC... They said no to us when we wanted to order juice and tea both telling us we don’t serve these on weekends 🤔🤔🤔🤔 so it means IF YOU WANT TO HAVE SOMETHING TO GULP DOWN YOUR FOOD THEN ANSWER IS ‘NO’

Actually we had two kids with us and they seemed lil impatient with the amount of time my kids were taking .., it was a wrong approach for your customers
THE ULTIMATE FOODIE
Nice place to have some healthy foods...
Do try their south indian food i.e roasted idli..
Followed by finger licking pav bhaji
Mostly Crowded place as it is situated near girgaon Chowpatty..
A must try for every 1..

Great place to have a peaceful meal. I have been to this place a lot of times and was impressed by their service every single time. Must try the cheese pav bhaji here. A little pricey, but worth it.
Kasvi Shah
Love this place. Now it is fully air conditioned and the food here is amazing. Especially the masala pav is too tasty. The nachos are also yummy. Idli chutney is also damn good. The prices are also reasonable and ambience is also good.

We went to Sukh sagar after a very very long time ... now they have an air conditioned restaurant ... there is always queue but their turn around and service is quick so u can get table in 20-25 mins ...
We started with manchow soup which was good but never ever I have seen noodles which are orange in color ... just passed out on the noodles ... but the rest of the dishes had no taste ... was very disappointed with Pav Bhaji and Even dosa ... the dosa has no taste ... sambhar was okayish ... even the pizza were tasteless ... overall disappointing experience with the food ...

Love this place. A two storyed restaurant with both affordable food as well as Italian as options.
Really love their famous range of paav bhaji and idli.
However my favourite is their fettuccine fungi pasta.
This rest has comfortable basic seating and is great for a family. Good place to try pav bhaji. Because of the location closer to girgaon chowpatty many people visit here after having some fun time at the beach. Cost is not too high and affordable. Give it a try when you are around.
The Meallionaires
One of the really old and famous restaurants at chowpatty..have been here a couple of times..they have seating downstairs and upstairs in Ac and non ac..Its infamous for its idli and pav bhaji..the ambience is okay..

Have tried south indian, pav bhaji, punjabi, veg sizzler and chinese here..

Service is decent..

Although on my last visit the taste didnt impress as much as previously..
SudhaSaraf Saraf
Unhygienic and messy
The tissue papers are all over the place, the dustbin is unclean and overflowing
Crowd is not good. The ambience is very noisy
Mahima Malani
This place is really good which serves you with satisfying taste of the food.
Had Pav bhaji - too delicious
Masala pav-must try
Punjabi kofta - that will suffice your tastebud.
They won't keep you waiting to serve.
I am fond of this place ... I loved Pav bhaji here almost every time whenever I visit Marin Drive. Pav bhaji is must for this place. This time I also tried Idali and it's too too too soft and delicious just loved it. Must try this whenever you are around to this place.
Jainisha Savla
This place is HOME. Ever since my parents got engaged and since the earliest I could remember. This place has the best Idlis, dosa, jain masala pav is better than non-jain, pav bhaji, mixed fruit Sunday and I could go on. Be it 2pm or 2am this place will never let you go hungry and the staff is the most friendly one I’ve ever come across. A must try for people visiting chowpatty or Mumbai!!
Darshit Shah
Above average place, offers a very limited menu

The chutney that accompanies Indli is very good

Pav Bhaji and Masala pav are a must try

Place is small
Very busy on weekends
On the main road
Jash Bhavesh Shah
The place is a name for itself. The Famous IDLIS it makes are the best and the only Idlis I have, ever. The coconut chutney they pour, seem, they pour their heart out. Their Pizza is way too good. The best part about this place is the rate is mediocre, compared to it's magnanimous name it has made over the years.
Quality : 5/5
Quantity : 5/5
Rate : 5/5
Taste : 6/5
Overall : 5/5
Visit! visit! visit!
Must visit you guys
Also, try the Pav Bhaji, it's good
Namita Arzare
Pav Bhaji here is the best so far I have eaten in Mumbai. Specially Bhaji. Pav one finds every where the same. I guess something need to be done on pav's as a whole

Pratik
The place is renewed and looks good. Service was a little slow.

Options Available are from Fast food to North India, Italian starters, Mexican Starters, Continental starters. Juices to Milk shakes to Falooda.

Food was decent and just normal.. Not that great taste wise.

Point to improve : AC leakage. Better options for variety lovers. Enhancing taste by using better spices .
Prapti Parmar
It was really nice The service was fast The food was quite good I had fun in eating over there the dishes were really nice specially Paneer chilly

Vatsala Bhandarkar
This place is opposite chowpatty. I love everything over here. This is south indian restaurant. Instead of south indian food you get Chinese, North Indian, Italian & Mexican food. Pav Bhaji is famous over here. This time we want to try some Italian & Mexican food.

So we order

Vegetable Lasagna:- This vegetarian lasagna is cheesy (of course), and loaded with vegetables. Serve with 3 Garlic Bread. It was awesome
Alla Arabiatta Pasta:- Penne Pasta in yummy red sauce.
Cassata Ice cream :- Cassata is one really good ice cream - worth - trying.

Good Place, Good Food

love this place
Kavita Khandelwal
One of the best places for family gathering.

Not everybody gives this good quality with such a good taste and reasonable price. You have anything here everything is so delicious.

When it comes to Punjabi dishes- Veg Lajawab is my all time favourite.

And if you are a Masala Papad lover. Trust me you will love it the most. They serve amazing Masala Papad.
