Review Fable Cafe , Juhu - Mumbai

Nice place but crowded on weekends. You have got lots of stalls on the beach for snacks. Big stretch of beach to roam around. Life guards are constantly guarding the beach. The beach needs little cleanup other wise it is a very nice place to be. You can definitely choose the place to be. Nearby you will find houses of many celebrities.

Additionally, the food options at Juhu Beach can be on the expensive side, and it's a good idea to budget accordingly. The variety of street food and snacks, though, do provide a tasty culinary experience. Lastly, due to the crowd, it's essential to take care of your belongings and be vigilant about your personal items. Keep your belongings secure to avoid any unfortunate incidents. Despite the potential downsides, Juhu Beach still offers a unique Mumbai experience that's worth exploring.

Had a great time in Fable... The Ambience is perfect to have a laid back meal.....i tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich it was very good...the Chicken was perfect..spicy n savory..it went really well as a sandwich... The Veg sandwich was good too.... The service was nicee...liked the recommendations suggested...... The place has a cozy wibe to it....interesting wall art all around... good music too...they have fresh juice options as well.... Will certainly visit again....

Juhu Beach will forever have my heart! Apart from the beauty, they have the best food stalls.. their Golas (Shaved Ice), Pav Bhaji and Schezwan fried rice is the best thing you could eat from there..

I visited this beach in the evening and it kept on getting busy by the hour as the sunset started. The beaches are full of local vendors selling all kinds of goods and food items on the beach itself. There are food stalls in a kind of open food court selling local food items at entry. Bigger restaurants are just a walk away on the main road. Chargeable toilet services are present at entry but poorly maintained. Good place to enjoy the evening. Could not see any water sports. The beach appeared clean. Lot of regular walkers and a large number of city people, lead to a huge crowd by sunset. It is a very long beach so you can walk along and find less crowded areas to sit down

Juhu beach is one of the famous beaches in Mumbai. Located in Juhu area as the name suggested. This beach is nice and has lots of shops right on the beach. You can enjoy a peaceful sunrise or sunset here. During weekend the crowd is more but weekdays are not that much crowded. Best for family friends or anyone for that matter. If you’re in mumbai definitely visit this beach. Bonus many Bollywood celebrities stay in this area so you can visit their houses too. Like Amitabh Bachchan house is in Juhu which is famously known as Jalsa.

The lake is drying up. Natural beauty is at sake. Visited it after a long time and i was astonished to see lake drying up. But a very serene and peaceful place to relax. Pollution free place.. Good place for spending quality time with kids and family

The place gives an old-fashioned interior vibe. Has good food, especially continental cuisine. Peach ice tea was upto the mark. Mezza platter could have been better.

Enjoyed my visit to Fable. The food is good. Tried their Avocado Toast with Poached Egg. The service is quick. Nice vibe.

I loved the place, a small cozy place to be with really good food. We are salad lovers so we ordered Italian fresh Burrata salad ❤️. I was surprised to see the fresh Burrata. The taste was amazing. Mazze platter- with different types of hummus, the best was the edamame hummus. Cream of broccoli soup, which was a perfect blend of cream and broccoli. You might spot celebrities too.

It's a good and most famous beach in Mumbai. Should be more clean just take a cool breeze and walk ☺️

The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. A place that is peaceful in its own ways. It is the place to go to get away from all my troubles. It is the one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the deepest blue I have ever seen. It is the place where I can sit and think the best. A place where nothing matters but what is in that little moment. The one place capable of sending my senses into an overload. This place is the ocean.

As beautiful as the beach is there are lots of plastic and other wastes that comes along with the tides and gets stuck on legs. Kind of annoying to keep removing the plastic from our legs each time a wave comes by. I wish people were more responsible and didn't throw waste in the sea or the beach site. Other than that there are plenty of food stalls just outside the beach to enjoy and eat.

The restaurant exceeded my expectations with its impeccable service, inviting ambiance, and mouthwatering cuisine. Every bite was a flavor explosion, and the presentation was simply stunning. From the warm greeting at the door to the final bite, it was an unforgettable dining experience. A true gem worth revisiting.

Guacamole that came with the quesedilla tasted off. Genovese pizza was a let down. Goat cheese Gnocchi with spicy parmigiana sauce and quesedillas were good. Portions were too small considering the price.

Tucked away in one of the Juhu bylanes this was a discovery. Loved the Continental spread which was well prepared. The decor gives you a Bohemian feel which is nice. Service is basic but the food is so GOOD. Bagels are a meal by themselves. A very good brunch option.<br/>

Great ambience and really well presented food. I enjoyed the tofu and asparagus which I ordered. The avocado on toast was well presented and colorful. The other items we ordered were delicious as well. The seating area is pretty big and has a good calm feel to it.

The food was not up to the mark as lasagne recipe consist of white sauce and cheese and the both were missing in the dish highly disappointing.

Terrible service to say the least. The order was half delivered. Number of Fable was not reachable! When someone from there eventually called they asked me to tell the valet to turn around!!! I told Zomato to cancel the pizza delivery which they didn’t and I was sent a cold thin crust pizza delivered in the rain in a soggy wet box much later!!!! No refund by Zomato!!!

There was a payment mix up at my end and in stead of helping the illiterate staff was rude. Staff’s attitude was downright pathetic. The manager Peter refused to help in the matter. Never visit this restaurant.

We used a Zomato offer to pay and accidentally hit the wrong outlet...so the payment went to Lokahdnwala instead of Juhu. We immediately messaged Zomato help but they took.about 25 min to resolve the issue so we spoke to the manager who wad a rude obnoxious bald man who refused to give his name and saif we can't leave until we pay again. We told him that we need to get some confirmation of the refund but he said he has nothign to do with the other outlet and treated us like criminals...obviosuly coz we were three girls he felt he had a right to speak like a gunda maybe. When we yelled back he ran into the kitchen whne we started taking a video of him and left us with some clueless waiters. Finally after being yelled at and insulted by your manager and staff Zomato told us they would give a refund but it's gievn a lesser discount since it's counted this ad a second payment so 15, percent instead of 25 percent. All this is still no big deal but when will restaurants like Fable get better staff and take action against their managers who should be fired and never allowed to work in the hospitality industry.? I used to love this place. And would go so often. But it is disappointing to see their customer service even for such regular customers. I am pregnant and was craving for a waffle and literally after begging Peter( the manager) he refused to serve. As because of rule they can serve waffle only till 7 and not 7:30. It's horrible.

Loved the ambience, both outside and inside. It is like walking into a Fairy Tale. Every corner of this place is beautifully done. <br/>We had cappuccinos which was nothing extraordinarily, rather avoidable. However, the Classic BLT was a hit, it was creamy and went well with the crispy bacon. <br/>We would love going back and trying out the other things in the menu.

Tried the mezze platter and thoroughly enjoyed it. The edamame risotto and veg lasagne made my day. However found sizzling brownie too sweet. But overall loved this place.

The place has a good setting. The tables were clean and although it wasn’t clear who would attend to us, but we were not ignored. The food was delicious and the portions were really good. By the time we could finish the platter we were so full that we couldn’t reach the mains. <br/>Next time I will jump into starters. Would love to see some variety of gnocchi on the menu.

The captain was a pain to deal with, didn’t remove service charge and when we asked to call for the manager he said that he would come here at 1pm

The 'captain' refused to remove the service charge and said it cannot be done as we ordered a combo. As per law, it can always be removed on the request of the customer. Absolutely disgusting attitude.

Fable has an amazing ambience. This place is all about the ambience ! The mushroom crepe was good but I felt it could have been a little better. The main complaint is that the staff was not trained properly. The first server had very less knowledge about the menu. The restaurant is a place to go if you want to chill with your friends for a while and not looking for great taste. I didn't find the food awesome and also the quantity was quite less. The restaurant has a pretty ambience but not so great service. Though the staff is nice but the time taken to bring one dish takes long.<br/><br/>We had ordered Cottage cheese steak, Quesadillas, Pomegranate Cooler and Strawberry Rosemary mocktail. You can enjoy the drinks.

Very good ambience, good selection of wines, OKish service. We ordered for a Penne in red sauce and a Ravioli Spinach and Ricotta with Cherry Tomato Sauce. The latter was outstanding and cooked al dente, while the former was a bit over cooked

To be avoided at all cost . No concern for customers - they have their huge trucks parked in front of the restaurant . My car was badly damaged while trying to help my 80 year old mom in . Car needed to be towed - the restaurant staff was laughing at the incident instead of helping out . Pathetic !!!

We order Greek salad, Avacado toast and Pesto pasta.<br/>The Greek salad was really delicious, it was very well prepared with the right amount of dressing.<br/>The Avacado toast was decent, the guacamole spread missed the taste of it main ingredient Avacado. Trust me you can have a better Avacado toast at other places.<br/>The Pesto past was of really poor quality. The Pesto sause tasted stale and I could taste the flavor of garlic more that basil (the base of the sause).<br/><br/>Overall the experience of poor for the amount they charge. I believe the quality of food has degraded drastically. Recommend you to not rely on past reviews, it will turn out to be a let down.

For me, this is one of those places where it's all about the vibe and the settings rather than the food. It's a stunning setting and the service was good. The food was okay, but after a while everything started to taste the same and the pizza wasn't really at that special. I found the slices of apple under the sizzling brownie a little weird.

The food is a tad bit pricy but worth every cent. Beautiful presentation, delicious food. The ambience is lovely, too.

Fable has been a regular go to place for us since the past few years and we have never come back disappointed. But yesterday's visit was an absolute disappointment as far as the food was concerned. Probably their Chef has changed but the same dishes which I loved were handled shoddily and the end result was underwhelming toast and limp and soggy grilled chicken breast as main course. Their buffalo wings was underwhelming too or their Chef was just having a bad day I guess, overall barring the pasta and french fries (can't really go too wrong with these anyways) everything was passable and that's unfortunate for a place which has been one of my favorite restaurants in town. Don't think I would go back again

Our go to place when we feel like eating good Italian food. The Spaghetti Aglio Olio is fantastic. Their in-house bread is also really remarkable. A good wine collections and some great sangrias.

Good Place! The variety of food available is decent. The service was good and prompt. The overall ambiance of the place is brilliant. The decor is different and very cozy. Good place to spend sometime with friends or reading a book by yourself!

Ordered grilled chicken and it was UNDERCOOOKED, informed the waiter about it. First the waiter was arguing with us that it's not, but on insisting they took the plate. Came back in 5 with the same half eaten piece of chicken! Basically, picked up my half eaten food, grilled that same piece in the kitchen which serves other guests too and then brought it back. Never again! Let alone the experience and undercooked food, what worries me the most is the hygiene 🤢

My experience at Fable was terrible all Thanks to this rude man whose picture is below. It was my wife birthday and the restaurant was busy and the frustration on this man's place was clearly visible. He was very rude and spoke in a very rude manner when I asked him for the straw and told me can't you see I'm cleaning the table. I will never come back to this restaurant again because of this man who has ruined our experience and my wife's birthday morning. Shame on the Management for employing such rude staff. They will only land up loosing customers in the bargain. Terrible experience

Pathetic service, ordered ravioli in white sauce after speaking to the manager and told him pls it’s for my little child send in white sauce he made sure he sent ravioli in red sauce which my child couldn’t eat, had to give it to the dogs.

Ridiculous place and way of working.<br/>20 minutes post placing my order I’m told my order has not been placed because the waiter is still punching it into the system and proceed to argue after.<br/>No manager available for me to resort my problem to.<br/>Very disappointing and I would not reccomend this place to anybody whatsoever as it’s a waste of time. The food being something that may not even be delivered.

Perfect brunch place

A cute and cozy place in Juhu! I have been here a couple of times! I absolutely love their salads and pizza here. Their ceaser salad is my favourite.<br/>This time though I tried something different, honestly was not quite happy with some of it.<br/>I tried the,<br/>Veg quesadillas - if you have had this mexican dish before and tried it somewhere else, this one is pretty Avery comparatively. Great presentation but not that great in taste.<br/>Edmame risotto - I was quite skeptical about this one, and honestly it was surprisingly not that bad. If you like edmame, you will probably like it. But I don't guarantee the taste for everyone.<br/>Veg khowsuey - this one was actually the best out of the 3. Great texture of the orange gravy. Like that they gave some toppings. So definitely can try this one out.<br/>Good service at this place.<br/>And the quantity is also not bad. A bit pricey I feel, compared to the rest of the restaurants in Juhu. But you can definitely not go wrong here with the wide range of food menu, there will be definitely something to suit one's taste.<br/>PS : They don't serve beer here. Just wine.<br/>Overall great ambience. Looks cute from the outside as well.

Oh boy. Who doesn't love the woodfire pizza. Seafood pizza will take you higher. Succulent chicken breasts grilled to perfection is pure state of happiness. Do have a dekko at the pictures too. 🍾

Been here a few times . Doesn’t disappoint . It’s a go to place for Italian fare . My review is to thank the management for their attentive and courteous staff .my teenage daughter was there for dinner with her friend and they were given a mint mojito instead of a regular one . The kids detested the taste of it and informed the management who initially mentioned that they could not change the drink . The kids didn’t bother to take it forward however The staff didn’t disregard it and the kids were not charged for it ! Fable, a quaint cafe tucked away in the bylanes of Juhu is a great example of modern cafes. With both indoor and outdoor seating facilities available, the place has a rustic yet urbane vibe to it.<br/><br/>We started with the golden fried prawns which were delicious, with a crispy outer shell and soft succulent well cooked meat inside. The size of the portion was was adequate for two. The accompanying sauce could have been a tad bit spicy and tangy to tickle the taste buds and elevate the dish.<br/><br/>Penne in creamy pesto was delicious and creamy with at dente pasta, black olives and sun dried tomatoes. Not the best pasta we’ve had, but definitely bang for the buck.<br/>Charcoal grilled chicken breast <br/>The chicken was well cooked and garnished generously. The accompanying mushroom sauce was lustrous and had depth of flavour. The potato mash was soft and velvety and rounded off the dish well.<br/><br/>Overall Fable with a variety of dishes on its menu including keto dishes for the health conscious is a great place for an early morning breakfast as well as a nice romantic dinner.

We ordered a Mezze platter and a callebaut hot chocolate with mint . Both the dishes were too good .<br/>The drink is a must try it has tinch of mint in every sip you take . The platter was 4/5 . The staff is friendly . The place has good vibes<br/>

I can't get over this place! Fable is gorgeous the minute you enter it. We've always chosen to sit outside because the vibe is great outside, always. I went there when I was on a "diet" so my choice restricted myself to only having one plate of their Caesar salad, and boy, that salad blew my mind. I didn't regret not ordering anything 'cheesy' at all. <br/><br/>The melon sangria was YUM again! The chicken skewers, fries, chocolate milshake, and the chicken steak were bloody brilliant too (What's the point of dieting if you don't cheat a little?)<br/><br/>I've been her multiple times and ordered multiple dishes but this meal remains my favourite. It’s a cute place with a bit of outdoors too...<br/><br/>The only downside for me not for anyone else ... they serve only sangrias<br/><br/>Boy but the food covers up for that!<br/><br/>We ordered two things amongst the three of us.<br/>The truffalate pizza.... if you’re a shroom lover and if you haven’t had this pizza then you have missed this piece of art in your life. Thin crust with a lot of mushrooms, shiitake, porcini, farm mushrooms blended carefully with loads of garlic and truffle oil. Wow! That’s the only word which can describe this.<br/><br/>The second dish was the Crispy-skinner Indian Salmon. Honestly speaking I enjoy fish and seafood but I do not have the knowledge for which fish is what and what goes well with which fish. This dish and the preparation was different and YUM. Fish served on a platter of sundried tomato mash with a chorizo butter vinaigrette.<br/><br/>If you’re in Bombay do not miss this place.<br/><br/>P.s. the owners of this joint have other outlets like Chin Chin Chu even they are amazing.

It's usually our hangout place when we can't decide on where to go because fable never disappoints... Love theor collection of wine and their food is mouth watering... Their food that has avocado are simply delicious! Plus I am a huge avocado fan so a little bias towards them...not only theor food but the ambience and their taste in music is also worthwhile.

Fable is a lovely and warm restaurant to go out with anybody, especially family. I loved the simple yet chic interior. Service was great and food was yummy too.<br/><br/>Bruschetta and apple pie is a must. I also ordered cheese fondue which was satisfying along with White sauce speghetti pasta. It was also pretty decent. <br/><br/>In desserts, I loved the apple pie - a must try. Brownie with vanilla was decent like any other place. I went here with 2 kids and they also loved the food and ambiance. The vibe is quite welcoming and relaxing. <br/><br/>PS this place does not serve alcohol, except for wine. They do have valet parking so don’t worry about that.

So here's the problem.. I ordered the pasta that was described as a prawn and calamari bisque.. But I was served a tomato sauce.. When pointed out, the staff assured me it was their version of a bisque, which is frankly ridiculous since there was a plain tomato arabiata sauce.. Now I'm not a tomato fan so I wouldn't have ordered it, but in any event to put bisque on the menu and serve tomato is criminal!

This was a premeditated visit, but it will have a perennial effect on us. The restaurant ambience was a beautiful conundrum that our moods were pretty zeal up. So I went to this place on a weekday and the place was not very crowded. The ambience is very quirky. They have some beautiful decor items. The outdoor seating is also pleasant, there is an indoor ac seating but it’s very small. The staff is very polite and professional. I ordered-<br/><br/>Avocado on toast - toasted multigrain bread with avocado paste mixed with cheese, hummus spread garnished with pumpkin seeds<br/><br/>Jalapeño and cheese poppers- delicious cheese poppers deep fried, served with tomato aioli, greatly presented<br/><br/>Penne in creamy pesto- amazing pasta made in pesto sauce, garnished with sundried tomatoes and black olives<br/><br/>Cafeteria style spaghetti- finely made spaghetti with chicken meatballs in manirana sauce<br/><br/>Baked Philadelphia cheesecake- the smooth and soft baked cheesecake served with berries<br/><br/>Mojito- the drink which complemented our food well<br/><br/>The overall experience was good. The presentation of food is nicely done and good service by the staff there. The quantity also fits perfectly for 2 people.

This place is on our way to our regular movie hall so it has been on my mind for a while as it looked really pretty. Finally, last week we got a chance to go there. I liked the enclosed area more as it seemed very cozy but the manager suggested we sit outside as one AC was not working.<br/><br/>The decor is very French country, my fav kinds, so I instantly was in love with it. We ordered their woodfried pizza which was very average. The chicken wings were divine. We also ordered some risotto and pasta which was comforting. <br/><br/>Service was good.

Nice lit up, pretty decorations and lively atmosphere. We went here on Friday night. Place wasn’t that crowded. Service was quick. Although it is famous for food, I didn’t like it that much.

Cottage Grilled steak was the best thing Ive had in this Restaurant! Love the duo of the sauces and can still feel it on my taste buds; Great Ambience,good service,great food! This is a very good place to be spent on a weekend! Great work, cheers!

We have been visiting Fable ever since it opened several years back. We like coming here for breakfast. It's got a great menu and a good vibe.<br/><br/>Now, serious question to the management - when you have such a beautiful open area with an awning - why don't you let your customers sit there for breakfast?<br/><br/>It's half the ambience honestly. It was ok to sit out a year or so back, but I have noticed such a remarkable change in the attitude of the staff. The last 2-3 visits they are quite abrupt about not allowing customers to sit outside.<br/><br/>Sorry guys, unless the policy changes, we will hunt for other breakfast options.

This place is an absolute must visit.<br/><br/>One of the best places to just relax, with a fabulous ambiance and vibe.<br/>The coffee is made very well, those willing to try something different, the affogato is excellent.<br/>All non vegetarian people should definitely try the croque madam sandwich!<br/>It's super sinful and the best sandwich I've had in a while.<br/>Lastly, try their fantastic sandwiches. They are sinful and worth the cost.<br/>I can't wait to visit again.

Mouth watering, tongue tickling dishes to choose from, one will get confused but don't forget to ask their special dish of the day that's what will glow your mind. Evryday they have some new dish of the day. It's amazing to eat here since these dishes can't be compared. Enjoy from d variety of food if in group don't miss out on d dessert and it's a must to have it after your food. Enjoying the place is something one must not miss out at all.

Ordered for Kulhad chai.. We got sole watery chai clearly made from an instant mix powder and it was salty. We sent it back and told the waiter we didn't like it but he insisted on giving us another round. The second one was worse with some ginger juice added to it and still salty. We again told the waiter that we didn't like it its really bad to which he asked us whether or not we'll pay for it. We paid for it then but bad chai and weird service as well. Rest of the food was fine but slow service and kinda overpriced.<br/><br/>

The only reason I rated them low is because of their lousy service. Had been here tonight for diner.<br/>The place wasn’t busy and just half the tables were occupied. <br/>We ordered Fondue which was served in a clay pot with candle beneath. This was just a fancy setup, he cheese sauce got totally thickened within 10 minutes. Bought this to servers notice and all he had to say- that’s how it is.<br/>The serving staff was always available in visible zone but were too busy talking to each other and we had to make several attempts to catch their attention.<br/>We finished our drinks and fondue and called for check. Left from this place and had remaining diner in a nearby restaurant.

A very very pleasant and chill experience. The ambience of the place is so unique and different. I have attached a few pics of the same. The food is absolutely great and is not at all overpriced. We tried a fondue, khow suey and jerk chicken. Happy with all of it. The best part was the music was really "Unique", to top it all. Being a musician myself and I had another very good musician friend who was with me here for dinner, and we loved the mix playlist compiled. I did check on who had made the playlist and the manager mentioned it was the owner. Definitely, a great choice for music to compile that well a playlist. Thank you for this wonderful experience

Really loved the place. Staff was very friendly too. Gud ambience. Music a bit of a pain. Gud pricing. Will repeat. Servings are just about good. Good for family dining.

The Parmesan crumb chicken with salsa sauce at Fable Juhu is a well balanced dish. The juicy and tangy taste along with the amazing crust adds an extra crunch to it. A must try for all chicken and cheese lovers.<br/><br/>The watermelon feta salad was as healthy and tasty as it could get! The ingredients combined made a wholesome delicious salad. It was also very filling.

A cute place to go to with friends and family. They have amazing garlic bread with cheese(it’s pull apart). <br/>Overall a value for money restaurant with comfortable interiors and a wide menu to choose from.

Good staff and a friendly place to visit with friends. Good food with good ambience. Italian food is preferable here. Moctails are also good. Its difficult to find faults im their food. Best place to go.
