Review Grand Central - Mumbai

BHARATH K.S.
Good vegetarian options. Pepper Paneer was fantastic. The 5 pot rice was also really good. The service was a bit slow. But we had live music which was amazing. Old Hindi songs were sung by the musicians.

I was little apprehensive initially to go. But when i went, this place is amazing. Two floors and completely packed place. Food is super duper amazing and alcohol is very affordable. More of a family restaurant with rustic finish. Waiter are polite and serve good. Gives finger bowl too. Must try place in Chembur

This was one of ther premium restraunt in chembur in childhood while passing through this restraunt i was thinking once in life i want to go inside and dine in. But first time when i visited after that month i visited total 3 times in a month There chicke tandoori was so good and tastey, there surmai fry was 🔥 and butter chicken was on another level , there surmai goan curry was also mind blowing and tiramisu was so nice and not so sweet it was perfectly fine and balanced taste overall experience was so so so good
Milind Salokhe
One of the finest hotel in Chembur (very close to Chembur station). Very fine dining experience and good selection of dishes and alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are served

The food was yummy here and mouthwatering. But the service was too late..

Grand Central Chembur serves the best Butter Chicken in the world. Been coming here for over 2 decades now and the taste still remains the same. If you're ever in Chembur then having a Butter Chicken from Grand Central is a Must.
Yogesh Chemburkar
It was good experience..Food was good too but not that tasty. Service was quick. There was good time for waiting as it was sunday and we went for dinner. We ordered below items. Do note they charged separately for service charge along with other GST. Price range is little on higher side per dish which ranges rs. 350 to 450 for majority of dishes. Veg hara bhara kabab - 3/5 Pahadi chicken kebab - 3.5/5 Butter chicken main course - 3.5/5 Sizzling brownie - 5/5 (Good quantity wise as compared to other hotels)

This is one of the best place to dine in Chembur region. Hotel Grand central is close to 50 years old and provides really good taste. It's good for both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Only drawback i found at this place is service, which can be improved, like time require to take order, sometimes they just make u seat for 20 minutes just to place order. Vibes and ambience is good at this place. One must try paneer starter dishes they are good . Overall rating 8.5/10

had this opportunity to visit grand Central restaurant. It's grand and it's in center making it what it is. The food quality is good had nice weekend with family. A glass of wine and a fine dine on weekend made my time special. I tried all non regular items as I was able to see the restaurant had its customers ordering regular north indian food which is why it's so crowded and still serving food so fast. Best in class waiting feels like next level of experience. Food quality is best and huge variety to choose from. It takes order online and also take away. All in all rating five star rating is worth

Loved the overall dining experience at Hotel Grand Central. We ordered Manchow Soup, One Chicken Starter, Butter Chicken, Chicken Malvani and bread basket and loved all the dishes. They serve alcohol as well. That staff is super friendly especially Vishnu and Param Singh Ji. They were courteous and assisted us fine throughout our dining experience. Affordable pricing for a fine dine experience like that. Only thing that was little off for my liking was pricing of breads. Nevertheless, we had a great time. Valet Parking available. They also have a seating capacity on first floor. Ideal for private parties up to 50-75 people.
Shailesh Shenvi
They have Valet parking which is really good. The ambience and service of the hotel and staff is also excellent. Cost is reasonable. In their bill, they also add 5% Staff Welfare Fund (Tips). The hotel is fully air-conditioned and also serves hard drinks. It's recommended for family get together as they have huge seating capacity on the ground as well as on the 1st floor. Avoid visiting on Sunday's and Public Holidays as the waiting time extends to 45-50 minutes.

I have been coming here since college days. They really have good food. Over the years they have changed menu added new dishes and still have good food. Not like it used to be 15 years ago but they have maintained in today's world where there is so much variety of restaurants and food available in the market to keep up itself is a big thing. One of my favorite dish is masala papad. The taste is still the same. Love it.
Vishwas Murhekar
Hotel grand Central is a fantastic venue for hosting guests/friends. A small function of 20 people can be arranged very nicely. Staff is courteous and friendly. Food quality is excellent.
Harshita Pujari
I had a great experience. Vishnu really helped us in suggesting good options, all his recommendation were on point. We had ordered paneer roll and when he got to know our order from someone he came to us and told us the base of it is non veg( since we are vegetarian and wasn't having non veg). It was kind of him that he remembered that we were only having veg. Overall a great experience in terms of food, ambience, service!!
Tabassum Mukadam
Amazing food, we had ordered potato chips, veg kolaphiru. It was good, also the waiters were so polite, they also ask wht type of food it should be spicy or less spicy, amazed by their Hospitality.. fresh lime soda was too good..The bartender knew exact proportio .
Jyothi Venugopal
Amazing food at this restaurant, the paneer handi had an authentic taste to it. The ambience and service was exceptional as well. Would definitely revisit.

Grand Central is a fairly spacious place and easily accessible on the main road with comfortable seating. The menu is quite comprehensive with a good number of attractive veg and non- veg options. When we were there for lunch on a Thursday, the restaurant was almost empty till a few guests trickled in later The staff is attentive and polite and the service is good. The tandoori rotis were fresh hot and crisp as we wanted and the paneer was soft. The dal tadka was good .The sol kadi however, was overly spiced with a virulent dark pink colour and upset my stomach - avoidable. Prices range between 300- 400 for the veg items and higher for the non- veg dishes. The washroom is on the top floor and looked clean. There is also another larger dining area on the floor above. Check the bill- they have a 5% ' Staff Welfare Fund' addition which is service charge . I don't mind it so I paid the bill and added a bit over the bill. Overall, a fairly good place with the usual menu and good but not Wheelchair accessible.

No butter in rumali roti at all as I had ordered butter rumali roti . It is exactly plain roti . Refund my money back .

Yummy mouth watering food !
Must try Butter Chicken 😋
Liked their way of packing food with Safe home delivery !
Chef , Food packer & Delivery Boy's body Temperature were mentioned on the parcel .

Grand Central is nothing less than a Chembur institution. Having been located in the same place ever since the 80s, this place still has one of the best Butter Chicken I've had till date. The Russian Salad also shouldn't be discounted, it's pretty great as is the Chinese fare. The ambience of this place is regal, and great for a family meal.
Juilee Thakur
Great for a Family get together over Dinners
Virendra Bansode
Nice place for evening snacks.
DAKSH OBHAN
Really Good Place I loved the food quality here.
Jaideep Bijlani
Horrible biryani, chicken was stale, just spicy no taste.orchids is far superior waiting for orchids
To start Indian..
Nrtiya
I remember once it was mu lucky time and they were having orchestra with cello and violon for each table with the song of their request. A r3al lavish vibrant interior indeed. Their service was on point and yet it is now. Their specific taste flashbacks the whole vibes

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.
Dine in experience was descent although over priced for what they serve. BUT the delivery is a damn scam in the name of food. Eg. Be ready to get ONLY 2 small pieces of chicken in ₹525/serving chicken tikka masala.

I loved this hotel. Reasonably priced. Lovely helpful staff and most important to me. A spotlessly clean room and comfortable bed. |Great location just around the corner from shops bars and bus stop and tube station.
Breakfast was nice too.

Lovely clean hotel. Brilliant location. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again. Only one downside room a little bit small.

The butter chicken here is the best. Tried butter chicken all over, but this one beats them all flat.

staff is friendly and i loved this hotel ..
Foodie Broc
One of the oldest restaurants in Chembur, known for its non-veg food. This was one of the first outlets that used to have the best butter chicken around. Still has some delicious food quality and taste, though the pricing is a bit high in comparison to the others. Still, love to go out there and have some delicious chicken recipes, every now and then!!
Ramanamurthi M
A very rude waiter and very very very poor service. Wish we had gone elsewhere. Food so so. In any case if the service is rude, one loses interest in the food. Worth giving a skip. There are many better restaurants.
Namesake_Foodie
Food with live gazals programme is awesome in this hotel. I celebrated many ceremonies with family frnds and sweet memories since years. I recommend this for party organisation and wedding ceremonies. Food is yummy
Jaison Varghese
We Ordered Pahadi chicken kebab, tandoor murgh kebab, chicken lollipop, Butter chicken, Butter naan. Everything was great. Butter chicken was specially delicious. Mutton roganjosh is bad
Cons: As soon as we reached we gave our entire order at once but still they served the main course after 1 hour. The serving speed is extremely slow.
Poonam
Horrible food experience bad taste. Not worth the price
Shivani
I always visit this place with my family whenever there is any occasion at my place. They serve good hygienic food. The price is bit on the higher side. The staff is good and polite. The quantity is less according to the price

Great place. Ambiance, food, service is great.
Don't miss the butter chicken there it's the best I have ever had.
Akshata
We ordered for wantons which were very oily..... The fruit punch was very sweet.. However the butter chicken was great as usual but the quantity has decreased a lot.
Food Junkie
Better to order it home than go here.

Pros
- food was tasting good. But was sadly served cold.
- they cancelled one of the dishes that had an issue
Cons
- service. We were a table of two that was seated in the middle of the room upstairs. We didn’t get anyone to take our order for ten minutes even though the exact next table that was sat after us, had placed their order. They received their starters earlier, fair, but since we didn’t get anyone to take our order in the beginning I made sure to order my whole meal before the waiter left. We were waiting for a soup for about twenty minutes, and finished it and waited for our mains another twenty minutes. By this time the next table was clearing their bill. No waiter or manager responded to us. By the time our food came it was cold. I tried to get someone to heat the daal up but no one came. I made eye contact with several waiters and ushered them to come to the table they all said coming coming but no one came. By this time my daal has gone completely cold, and we were done with the rest of the food. I finally got someone to come to the table and it wasn’t the manager or waiter; it seemed to be someone more senior, maybe one of the owners. When he tried to ask the manager the situation the manager piped up and was acting rude. I asked him to take the daal back and give me the bill as the gentlemen was ruining whatever good that could be salvaged from the evening. He heated the daal then and served it to my table, however I repeatedly asked him not to. The owner had to force the manager to not charge for the daal.
- chaas. Don’t have it. It’s sadly a joke, there were two distinct layers in my chaas, not mixed properly at all. Didn’t even want to return it so I didn’t have to deal with the manager.
- we weren’t served water at this restaurant unless we asked three to four times. From entering to receiving our soup was thirty two minutes by the clock.

That’s why I say, best to order from zOMATO, food still is good- service is laughably bad. Better to take advantage of the lovely discounts Zomato offers us. Humbly suggest that you do not enter this place the staff Is rude, service is definitely not what it was even just a year ago and ... let’s not get started with that chaas.

This restaurant has been serving lip samcking food since a log time. I am a vegetarian but my family says the butter chicken has no comparison, its the best also Chicken 65 cooked Indian style (spicy) is worth a try if you are spicy food lover. The vegetarians can enjoy the amazing Biryani also Tawa paneer is amazing. Also not to forget the service is very slow :/. But If you are near chembur station do give this place a try. A happy place to dine with family and friends. Highly recommended.

Very bad service . The food was okay but the managers were not at all good. Waiter were not coming to take the order. The service was very slow. And the quantity was not so good
Foodie_ladka
With indoor as well as outdoor seating, this restaurant is one of the best in the area. They have got live music too in evenings. Food is awesome. Tried a few of paneer dishes and loved them. Service is cordial and decent. The ambiance is minimalistic decorative yet ended up being soothing.

Very tasty food

Being the oldest and renowned hotel since 1974, I took my dad for lunch. We ordered Chicken crispy as recommended by the waiter, but it had no salt no spice, could taste the flour only. Disappointed with that we decided to go northindian cuisine for main course and ordered Murgh Handi, expecting to be served in thin brown gravy and in a handi (atleast for representation) but came exactly opposite and when questioned the waiter said since begining it's been served this way only. With no choice we just finished the food in order to not waste it and decided not to visit it again, due to bad food taste and bad service.
Santwana Panda
Don’t go by the reviews. I had a very bad experience on food delivery. It was a combination of cooking with bad oil, stale food and dirty preparation. The food has a distinctive smell that reminds of decay and felt as if you were ingesting some chemicals.

I had previously ordered here and faced similar issues but on a smaller scale. But recent order has been specially pathetic.

LOCATION - located in chambur Mumbai. Very convenient place to go because it's walkable distance from chambur station. This is one of my favorite restaurant.
AMBIENCE - ambience is really good and pleasant. Top lights are nice. Place is big and spacious. Sitting Arremgments are good.
STARTERS - we ordered chicken lollypop. It was in 6 piece. The quantity was sufficient for us. Taste was nice.
MAIN COURSE - we ordered rogan gosh with plane roti. The taste and quantity was good.
DESERTS - we ordered mango ice cream. The presentation was very good. Taste was very yummy with large quantity.
STAFF SERVICE - staff service is good and friendly. Waiting time is appropriate. Cleanliness is well maintained.
EXPERIENCE - we celebrated my mom's birthday party here enjoyed our family dinner party here. It was good experience we had with grand Central hotel. Would surely love to visit again
AMIT BHARTI
staff arrogant. pls donot order for delivery. the quality of food is different from dine in. rather not order for delivery. v v bad experience.
Saradamani C
Disappointed as I visited this restaurant after a long time. Poor service had to wait for 45 minutes after order. Our order was replaced by some other subzi. Cold rotis were served and very senior citizens with us also had to wait for 1 hour although their orders were placed much earlier. A bad experience.
Vida D'Souza
The restaurant has the wrong prices online for their menu and they cancel ad hoc basis their own understanding. Don't order if you really want to eat good. Despite paying in advance, they chose to decline my order and I had to order from elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Recently visited this place to try butter chicken. The food was pretty good in taste though the services made by the staff were pretty slow and basic. The ambience is good to hangout with family or office colleagues.
Coming to the butter chicken, the chicken was properly marinated, tasted fresh, had good amount of ingredients and tasted lil spicy. The butter particularly lacked so it wasn't that creamish. Additionally we ordered rumali rotis which were thin and soft.
Overall 3/5

One of the oldest Restaurants of Chembur located near Chembur station, the name of the restaurant defines itself; it is grand in the sense that it leaves a lasting impression of its food and the atmosphere.

There is a good festival going on(Daawat-e-Awadh) so there was a special curated menu by chef Vinod maithani

We ordered the badami Murg sheekh and lifafa paneer from the special menu.

The Murg sheek was very well prepared, there were buys of almonds, pomegranates and exotic herbs in between the kebabs, the lifafa paneer had a unique tangy taste prolly because of the secret gravy used.

Fromm the normal menu we ordered Manchow soup, sweet corn chicken soup, exotic veg rice and butter chicken.

Everything was made very well, the food was tasty.

Only thing lacking about Grand Central is the decor which fell short to impress me, I remember through my previous experiences here as to how good it used to look. But it feels like it has lost its touch now.

I would recommend you guys to try this restaurant if you are in the vicinity. You won't regret the tasty food.

One of the most popular hotels in chembur, Grand Central is best at its Food service. We called it for Dragon chicken which has to be my favourite starter of all spicy dripping chicken w honey hint. The chicken is fresh and soft . We also ordered a gravy and naan. All dishes here are tasty and you can also ask them to make it spicier or less by your choice. Flavorful food. Good family dining hotel.
Vivek Konda
Poor quality of food, stale food. I had ordered paneer tikka masala and hara bhara kabab which wasn’t fresh and also chutney had a hair. Paneer tikka masala was average taste but starter was totally disappointing.
Priyanka Pisharody
This hotel provides a really good ambience along with good food. The staff are very courteous. I would recommend this for special occasions.
Garima.a.pathak
Great ambience, great food. They even do Ghazal nights. A huge variety of dishes and drinks to choose from. The in-house kebab is amazing. Don't miss their butter chicken as well. Overall great!
Teresa Dsouza
The Chinese soup of chicken which I had over here was tasteless, and the staff too was not friendly and no staff was approachable over there

Hotel grand central is a good restaurant which serves best butter chicken in town.
Also the butter chicken tastes amazing with the rumaali rotis.
Later we had chi. Fried rice which was bad. Very bad. It had bolied chicken in it which felt very rubbery. Ruined the whole experience.
But then tbee butter chicken here wins.

its an 2 mins of walk from chembur station , its spacious , well known for its butter chicken which is must have there. they even serve chicken lolypops which are my own fav at grand central they have amazing chutneys as well . Place is easily locatable too

Please do not use ZOMATO for ordering food. As they deliver incomplete order. Caused great inconvenience and embarrassment for me recently when I ordered food from Hotel Grand Central, Chembur. Though Hotel Grand Central is wonderful, but experience was ruined by pathetic delivery
Priyanka Ubale
They accurately named it ‘Grand’ Central - the restaurant is large and has ample seating available. Went here for a brunch on a Sunday afternoon and found is reasonably empty - it started to fill in later.
We ordered three mocktails - all had funny Bollywood film names and were very tasty.
For starters we ordered ‘Pahadi Chicken’ - it was the the tastiest part of our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the juicy mint flavours infused in the chicken.
For main course we had ‘Chicken Dhaba’ with Wheat Lachcha Parath which was great too.
The ‘Chicken Dum Biryani’ is famous here too - we ordered it but didn’t quite like it.
In all, the place has good food and hospitality to offer. Will visit again.
Tushar Jambhekar
This is place almost every person with any connection with Chembur will swear by. It's almost synonymous with 'Butter Chicken'.

The place is big with a decent capacity and a family ambiance. It is not a fine dine in the true sense - so was a bit surprised with the rates comparable to one.

The food is the biggest pull (That's what this rating is for). The service is strictly okay.
Rohit Divekar
@hotelgrandcentral
This lavish hotel is just 2 mins walk away from Chembur station. Parking is available but not plenty of space on the roadside.
To talk about menus...
Plenty of mocktails which are named after famous bollywood movies... content is mentioned below it..
Spirits are served as well...
Food menu has variety especially Malvani dishes...
Ambience is good
Cleanliness
Attendants are polite
Overall a good place to eat and chill with family...

It is always a great experience being here!
This place serves a variety of unique and delicious continental as well as Indian dishes on the menu
The must try here is their Murgmussalam Biryani which serves 8 people. Also a must try here is their range of cocktails which they serve using the names of various Bollywood films.
A must try this season is their malvani dishes taking you back to Konkan region and are delicious and keep up with the same taste ..
It's a must visit restaurant for a wide variety of dishes ..

I had visited GC on 25th April 2019 wit 3 of my friends.and not only was the service slow but the food was nt up to the mark. The corn nibblet starter was ok but the pepper paneer was bland. So I decided to put some pepper on it.Imagine my dismay when I realised that the container dd nt contain pepper but chaat masala!!!Which totally spoiled the dish wh, was supposed to be chinese by the addition of Indian Spices!!This is the 1st time I saw a restaurant hv a chat masala wit the salt on the table instead of the pepper!!

For the main course we dec, to order veg. and non veg dum biryani.

Both were hopeless. The waiter put heaps of rice on our plates while the chicken/veg were lying at the bottom were without any masala. After paying thru our noses-Rs.480=it was a complete waste of money. We left it uneaten on our plates as was tasteless.

Then we ordered the mango wit vanilla ice cream .We were shocked to realise that for a dessert wh. cost Rs.220 per portion-we were given an inferior variety of mango-nt Alphonso- wh. was sour nt sweet!!

while GC hs always been popular for its Butter Chicken the other items on the menu are disastrous!

Unfortunately for us the chef was having a bad day! we paid Rs 750 for a meal wh was abs nt worth it.We cd hv hd a lavish buffet for the same amt.was our regret!

The worst experience I have ever received in my life . The restaurant staff refused to send me my order which I ordered at 8:30pm and when I didn't receive my order till 10:30 I called and my order was just refused by their staff saying Nahi Dena hai order.
The worst hotel in chembur.

A very old and well known place in Chembur. We had :
Exotic Pot rice : 4/5
Fish tikka: 3/5
Chicken biryani:4/5
Mango with icecream : 2/5 looked very yummy but had a piece of paper inside. We weren’t charged for it but this wasn’t expected from such a famous restaurant.

Definitely a place for family and friends to go along with. The food is good and the staff is polite. The Ambience is also good. The nonveg- platter is definitely a go to rather than the veg menu. This is a good place to host parties.

Love to visit this place it's like family to me now . The food is awesome and must try cream of chicken soup and sizzling brownie too. The wine goes well with the food

Been to this place about 2 weeks back. Have been visiting them for decades and have always enjoyed their Butter Chicken with Butter Naan which is their signature dish and they are very famous for that.

However now the taste was hopeless and no where near to what we used to get in old days. Was very disappointed as had gone there for good old days & to enjoy. Also they made it very spicy despite requesting for less spicy. Nowhere butter chicken is made so spicy. Thoroughly disappointed. They should maintain their food consistency as before and improve.

Waste of money anticipating good food.
I’ve been visiting this place since I was a child and even now it never fails to impress me. The food is made with love is all I can say. The juicy delicious chicken kebabs with the butter garlic naan and my all time favourite is the butter chicken..
Sunny Butalia
Sweet Corn Soup, Butter Chicken with Naan is what I have been eating since many years and this place still happens to be one of the best in the area having multiple joints serving good food.
Sachim Karekar
This place might be pricey, but you wouldn't a Butter Chicken unlike this place, anywhere in Mumbai! It's simply lovely!

If any place deserves to be.the Butter Chicken Capital of the world, it is only GRAND CENTRAL!
Mishti
I’ve known this place since childhood where we used to be treated on their butter chicken and naan. I must have ordered years after.

The prawns butter garlic chicken was cooked well with lot of aroma

The Thai papaya salad was very tasty but the hotness level of the chillies were way too much.
Arjun Prabhu
I had heard a lot about this place and its signature butter chicken. But was thoroughly disappointed. The butter chicken is one of the most disappointing that I have ever eaten and at Rupees 350 it is a total waste of cash. The chicken pieces are more like miserly shreads and the gravy was inspid and without any flavour. The tandoori parathas were excellent. Service was friendly but slow. Ambience is good.
Be Happy .....🍴🍷🍽️
Super duper service and really good food. Chicken tikkas and pahadi kabab well marinated. Great taste thanks chef for lovely food. Mr. Tushar will be back soon......caramel custard and brownie was too good.

Had been there approximately 3 times with family. Eaten Chinese cuisine here.

Manchow Soup
It’s nice. Adequately hot and tasty. 8.5/10

Veg Crispy
It’s not too crispy but taste wise it’s nice. 7.5/10

Veg Manchurian
Gravy was tasty. Just felt the Manchurian balls needed to be kept for a little more time in the gravy to let the gravy sink in to the gravy. 7.5/10

Veg Spring Roll
It was bit kadak 6.5/10

Fried Rice
Nice. Rice is good and not half cooked like other hotels nowadays

Grand Central means Butter Chicken to me. Their Butter Chicken is too good it’s my favourite dish over there with Butter Naan. Their starters like the Kababs and Chinese starters are too good. Especially their Dum Biryani.
Zenobia Vasi
For a place that was legendary for its butter chicken this place now lacks the wow factor.. the food now just about manages to meet the average mark and the service for a restaurant that is not tackling too many customers is sloppy...we ordered the butter chicken which failed to impress, the non veg platter was good and worth the try. However the veg kadai is filled with peas that overpowers any other vegetables...we ordered rasmalai and Rabdi as dessert where the milk of the rasmalai was watery and lacked thickness...
Ganesh Thiyagaraj
They play live Bollywood music
Great food it offers.
Quality quantity price ambiance and taste every thing is up to the mark.
Best place to spend an evening with your loved once if you love Bollywood music .

Grand Central means butter chicken for me... Superb stuff and a typical family type restaurant.. Their service, quality and taste are very good and up to the standard mark.. Little heavy on pocket however worth it with family.
Veg biryani and veg shek kabab is too good for veg lovers..

Came here with my wife for dinner . Good atmosphere . And nice ambience

Drinks---
We have virgin mohito . Taste was ok . I found some black dead mint leaves which turn a biy of taste and it was muddled properly

Food --
Red dragon chicken--
Spicy dish ,the sauce was perfectly made which a nice spicyness to tongue. As they use chicken breast the only thing was missing was juicyness of chicken
Chicken momos
I have been a regulat customet of grand central from 10years . I found the size of momon was small but the taste was perfect.
Bhuna mutton
Perfect made dish on sweeter side . And muttton was perfectly cook . It was tender .

Over all a good experience

It takes a lot of time to prepare starters such that starters are served after the main course. Wow amazing! Even the waiter doesn't have any idea what the customer has ordered. The service requires a great scope of improvement. Most pathetically they have added liqour to the bill which was never ordered! Absolutely pathetic & quality has degraded. The staff takes very long time to serve only few tables that too on a weekday when the restaurant is almost empty in the night time. My bad to opt this restaurant! Whoever is planning for a good restaurant please note there are many other options available.

Fish chilli was gud however the quantity was too less plus the recipie was over priced. Well in main course I got Mutton rogan ghosh which again wasn't up to the expectation same tangy flavour tomato based gravy.

Visted restaurant on 15th aug..
As I was single person so thought to order a single biryani which would more than enough for me.. Asked the server which biryani would you prefer.. he said dum biryani n i ordered for the same.. Chicken dum biryani costing 450++.. biryani was just rice, chicken gravy and mint leaves.. n was given dum i guess.. yes it had flavour of ghee. Apart from this i dint find that worth for 450 buck biryani.. there are other restaurants too which serves much better biryani.. Normal tandoori roti for 40++.. n not ideal for common person... Because common person apart from money, food to matters..

Surely, I wouldnt recommend anyone this restaurant.. n specially for those who are looking for taste and value for money

1. The Order Came Late
2. We asked for a finger bowl, we were given just 2 spoons of water in the fingerbowl.
3. The Bill came 15 mins late.
4. Despite of telling the valet parking guy not to remove my car since it can lead to an accident, he did not listen to me and damaged my car.

These people never listen to what you say, then why do we even visit such places. Every hotel has a rule that they are not responsible if anything happens when you give your vehicle to the Valet Parking but when i told the valet guy to not remove my car, why didnt he follow my orders ? I wish there was a 0 Star here.

Would strongly recommend the butter chicken and the tandoori chicken at grand central.
Also tried the malai paneer tikka, was really good.
Would revisit.

It took almost 2 hours for them to deliver Butter Chicken and Paneer Makhani.....worse is that the person taking order kept lying to us twice that the person has left. it took the delivery person 45 minutes to cover the distance of less than 1 km. we would have happily picked it up as the kids were hungry and we lost patience after waiting, but all we were told is that the delivery guy is out.....The delivery guy said he had to go deliver to Chunnabhatti first, the management needs to learn some lessons here....dont care how the food tastes!!

For the very first time last night , left GC very very disappointed and dissatisfied. On every count it was a let down. The salt and pepper prawns for example, was cold and fragmented with the greens thrown in soggy and tasteless. Twas like some rejected food or leftover stuff was sent our way. Rest of the food we ordered was mediocre too. Again I repeat a first ever at GC.

The service .. the lesser said the better. We had to almost plead for the peanuts that is usually served with drinks. The Masala Papad took without exaggeration 45 minutes to arrive and after three reminders. The Smirnoff , well this morning it feels like it was not Smirnoff at all.

Never been let down by GC in the last 30 years . Very disappointed .

This is the best restaurant in chembur for family and office party. It's very near from Chembur railway station. Restaurant atmosphere is really very good. Food quality is also good. But food price is little much higher than the other restaurants so it's quite high budget restaurant. But you should visit at least once for experience.

The quantity was good, ambiance too but the service was disappointing. My experience would have been great if the service would have been quick NVM the food was amazing must try Murg Mussallam.

A very old and well known establishment in Chembur.
Slightly on the expensive side,
Ambiance is great. ✔️
Service was fast & polite. ✔️
Food:
Butter Chicken does justice to all the hype ✔️
Roti Tokri was good
Sweet Corn Chicken soup was not the best but 2.5/5.
Spicy Chicken Noodle soup was Good. 3/5
Garlic Chicken with Gravy was meh 2/5.

Overall: On the expensive side but worth a visit.
Had order a veg biryani and a chicken biryani from this amazing place. Both were extremely yummy. The packing was good. One of the best biryani you can have in Mumbai Suburb.

One of our go to restaurants in Chembur and always a safe destination for non veg lovers. While they have a large variety to chose from one always tends to order their signature dish which is the Butter Chicken and have not found a parallel in Mumbai to date for that specific dish!

Well recently visited the place food is good ambience is average.
The speciality of this play I would say is Butter Garlic Prawns, I never such delicious prawns anywhere else till now.
Chicken Crispy was also good, there is a big scope for improvement in Spring roll which didn't taste good at all.
Coming to the Main Course we order Butter and Chicken Garlic both were average not awesome nor anything to complain about.
I felt Romali Roti was little undercooked but that can be neglected.
Again with Chicken Biryani they can improve it, bcz I felt the marination was missing.
Overall a good restaurant a little on the costlier side it costed us 3k for 4 people.

This old place in Chembur sparks some real exciting childhood memories. Out of the two places in Mumbai which sells great butter chicken, Grand Central is the King of the Central suburbs. I have been eating here for the past 20 years and it never feels too old or too much. Other than butter chkn, their popular delicacies include - Belli Ram Ghosht, Chi Tandoori, Kebabs and Chinese. Love the place for its classic ambience which takes you back to the golden 90s. A must visit for anyone in Chembur.

Had come here for lunch. Stadf courtesy 4/5. Very prompt service.. The food was delicious. We had ordered for masala papad, sweet corn soup, dal makhani, roti and a sabzi. Quantity wise 4/5. Sumptuous meal ..🙌😄 Decor and ambience 3/5. Slightly noisy on that day. Rest was great!!
